After not seeing Gohan for a week, team RWBY is getting ready for the day of classes when the chirpy sound of Ruby voice echoes thought the room "Soo team everyone knows the plan for today"

"Sure do, sis. We when over it like fifty times" groaned out a tried Yang, who rolled over to glare at the loud girl.

"We should be more focused in the White Fang, not some crazy teacher who forgot to hold back. Ozpin took him after class anyway and he hasn't been working at the library all week so why can't we focused on the real threat" Blake exits the bathroom staring at Ruby hoping the girl would change of mind.

Weiss couldn't decide on who was right, the girl above or her other teammate "How about we do both?" the rest of the team turns to face her as she is finishing doing up the left boot speaking before the argument of what to do continued " I agree with Blake in that the White Fang is more dangerous and we have leads on them but what the teacher did also need to be looked into. But it can all wait the dance is tomorrow and we have things to do?"

"But Gohan is our friend what if he needs help" The older girls all turn to Ruby who has started to tear up at the others.

Emerging from the steaming bathroom in nothing but a pink towel wrapped around his lower body, Ren sighs in contentedness and starts walking away, only to be stopped by Jaune suddenly appearing in front of him.

"We need to talk"

Ren's lets out cry of surprise as Jaune pulls his teammate away. Sitting on Jaune's bed in the dorm room.

"Ren, I'm just gonna say it. You are one of my best friends. These past few months, I feel like we've really bonded, even though you don't say much. I mean, you're quiet. To be perfectly honest, I don't know that much about you, personally, but darn it, I consider you to be the brother I never had" Ren still only wearing his towel and looking extremely uncomfortable, nods and smiles to Jaune "And I you." glancing at his usual outfit hanging by the door and think of any way to end this conversation.

"Which is why I wanted to get your advice on, girls." this topic really confused Ren but before Ren could let out a sound Jaune continued

" I just, don't know, how to, girls. Um, I guess what I'm asking is. Well, how did you and Nora, you know."

Ren Looking even more confused than what he was already about the topic as Ren opens his mouth to speak Nora clears her throat to get the boys attention.

"We're actually not together-together."

"NORA, I SAID HEADPHONES ON!" Jaune Snaps back not wanting to girl to hear his conversation, Nora does so quickly.

"Jaune, what is this all about?"

Jaune sighs deeply before speaking, turning his gaze to the floor as he speaks "It's Weiss. I'm completely head-over-heels for her, and she won't even give me a chance. She's cold, but she's also incredible. She's smart, and graceful, and talented. I mean, have you heard her sing? I just wish she should take me seriously; you know. I wish I could tell her how I feel without messing it all up."

Ren is deep in thought what could he say to the boy the curve his worries "I don't have any answers maybe try talking to Gohan"

"That's a great idea. Good talk, Ren"

Ren let's out a sigh as he reaches for his clothes, Jaune had taken off to look for Gohan. it wasn't like Ren was trying to get rid of him just really wanted to get dressed.

"Every time you're down here, you're out for days"

Gohan eyes being to focus on Ozpin who is sit across from him. "How is he?

"Nothing permanent" Gohan lets out a breath he didn't even know he was holding in.

"I hope you will not have an episode like that again. Now instead of moping around here for days like last time, I believe you can be of use. Some of the students you've gotten close to, are going through some challenging times. I'm sure your experience really come in useful for them"

Gohan looks surprised at the professor, after what he just did, he still wants him around his students what if he had another episode. Gohan pushes himself up "where would you suggest I start?"

Blake and Yang walk into an empty classroom, Yang sits cross-legged on the central desk as Blake chooses to pace around with her arms crossed, irritated at the antics of the other girl.

"Yang, if you're going to tell me to stop, you may as well save your breath."

"I don't want you to stop. I just want you to slow down."

"I don't have the luxury to slow down."

"It's not a luxury; it's a necessity."

"The necessity is stopping Torchwick." Blake snaps back seeming to be more irritated.

Yang takes a deep breath "And we're going to. But first you must sit down and listen to what I have to say." patting the part of the desk next to her

Blake looks away for a moment contemplating her options until she relents and drapes her legs over the desk's edge "Fine."

Yang smirks at Blake before starting her story "Ruby and I grew up in Patch, an island off the coast of Vale. Our parents were Huntsmen. Our dad taught at Signal, and our mom took on missions around the kingdom. Her name was Summer Rose, and she was like, Super-Mom. Baker of cookies and slayer of giant monsters. And then, one day she left for a mission and never came back. It was tough. Ruby was really torn up, but I think she was still too young to really get what was going on, you know? And my dad just kind of shut down. It wasn't long before I learned why. Summer wasn't the first love he lost; she was the second. The first was my mom."

Blake looks amazed at this information as Yang keeps talking "He wouldn't tell me everything, but I learned that the two of them had been on a team together with Summer and Qrow, and that she'd left me with him right after I was born. No one had seen her since."

"Why did she leave you?"

Yang sighs, then turns to the chalkboard, getting off the desk and walking to the chalkboard, picking up a piece of chalk "That's the question, why? I didn't know an answer, but I was determined to find out. It was all I thought about. I would ask anyone I could about what they knew about her."

The reminiscent blonde starts drawing on the board" one day, I found something. What I thought was a clue that could lead me to answers, or maybe even my mother. I waited for Dad to leave the house, put Ruby in a wagon, and headed out. I must've walked for hours. I had cuts and bruises, I was totally exhausted, but I wasn't gonna let anything stop me. When we finally got there, I could barely stand, but I didn't care; I had made it. And then I saw them. Those burning red eyes...

In the shadows of the worn-down house the siblings had arrived at, beastly red shapes glow from the darkness. There we were a toddler sleeping in the back of a wagon and a stupid girl too exhausted to even cry for help. We might as well have been served on a silver platter. But, as luck would have it, our uncle showed up just in time.

Yang has just finished drawing a clockwork eye finished her story "My stubbornness should've gotten us killed that night."

"Yang, I'm sorry that happened to you, and I understand what you're trying to tell me, but this is different. I'm not a child, and this isn't just a search for answers. I can't just."

Yang still facing the board crushes the chalk in her fist "I told you, I'm not telling you to stop. I haven't, to this day, I still want to know what happened to my mother and why she left me, but I will never let that search control me. We're going to find the answers we're looking for, Blake. But if we destroy ourselves in the process, what good are we?"

Blake stands up slowly and turns away from Yang "You don't understand. I'm the only one who can do this."

"No, you don't understand. If Roman Torchwick walked through that door, what would you do?"

Both girls turn to the door seeing Gohan sitting in the last row, Gohan smiles finally being seen has Ozpin had left him to help the girls. Yang turns to Gohan "This was meant to be a private conversation"

"I'm truly sorry, when Ozpin brought me into this classroom this was not what I was expecting. Blake, I do believe it best to listen to what Yang has to say, Sometimes, we have to look beyond what we want and do what's best"

"Now if you would humour me, I would like to tell a story. it's about boy who saw all his friends die in front of him and went off to face a monster alone and continue doing so to his own detriment." confusion sets over from the anger turning the face him they both decided to listen to his story.

"I'm sorry to do this to the both of you but please do not tell anyone what I'm about to tell you" And so Gohan set about telling the girls about the androids, how they were made to kill his father, but his father was already dead, what happened to his arm and everything up to what he remembered arriving in this world. This revelation shook the girls, walking down the steps Gohan ended up beside where the girls were once sitting.

See the sadness and pity in the girl's eyes "I'm telling you this, so you do not make the mistakes that I made. I know that world is different but what stake is still the same. Now if I have correctly heard you both have a dance to get prepared for tomorrow night" Yang is the first to snap out of this daze both girls had entered hearing Gohan's stories

"You mean to tell me these chats we have had about you being a fighter wasn't about Grim?" Gohan smiles sadly a Yang nodding his head. Blake is snap back to reality by Yang question, both conversations playing in her mind.

"If you're so strong, why have you done nothing but beat up a student the whole time you have been here, you could have stopped Torchwick and the White Fang but no you, you" Blake shaking with rage stomps up to Gohan getting in he's face "Blake that …" Gohan rases he's hand cutting off Yang.

"You're right Blake, I have done nothing to help, and I did beat up Mercury. What I did to Mercury is the reason I can't get involved. The years of pain and suffering I have endured have manifested in a way I did not think was possible. The power I have has become nothing but a detriment. I can see that you hate me, I have all this power, I can stop all of this, but I can't bring myself to do anything. I'm truly sorry."

Jaune walks out of the library and as he rounds the corner, he overhears Weiss "I know this is a little unorthodox, but I wanted to ask you something. Would you, like to accompany me to the dance tomorrow?" Dropping he's head and starting to leave, getting to the dorms he finds Gohan sitting outside the room.

"Hi Jaune" Gohan weakly smiles at the boy "Heard you needed to talk"

"Hi Gohan, yeah about that, there is no need anymore. What about you? You have been missing all week."

"Nora said you were having girl troubles; I don't think I can help much but I well give my best shot"

"Of course, Nora. Don't worry Gohan, my heart was broken before I even tried" Jaune walks pass Gohan into his room, closing the door. Gohan huffs and gets up there wasn't anything he could do if Jaune didn't want to talk so Gohan heads for he's room.

"Not enjoying yourself?"

Ruby jumps surprised to see the headmaster step up by her side, but shakes her head and laughs "Oh, no, everything's fine. I'm just not much of a fancy pantsy, dancey girl."

"Well, you can't spend your whole life on the battlefield, even if you may want to."

Gohan interjects himself into the conversation "You can but I really don't recommend it"

"Gohan" Ruby slowly and painfully walks and trips her way to Gohan who was only five metres away "Hey Ruby"

"Now Gohan try to keep your head up, it's meant to be a fun night"

Ruby puffs her cheeks out "fun, what is fun about walking in these shoes, I'm gonna need to have a serious talk to Weiss about fighting in these things"

Gohan and Ozpin let out a soft chuckle at the girl's antics "It's not every day that friends are able to come together like this. Time has a way of testing our bonds, but it's nights like these that can help keep them stronger than ever. Nights like these are ones we'll never forget."

The wisdom silences Ruby, leaving Gohan with he's thoughts peace and teamwork. Things he had not thought about for a very long time, maybe staying in this world wouldn't be so bad. Saying goodbye to Ruby, Gohan heads out he felt so other place at this party, this world.
