Early update because I love reviews. Thanks for the support. Finally at the big hype chapter before the final battle of this arc. I know most of you were annoyed with how Hamuko acted. Story explanation, the few seconds she spent in Death's embrace caused a huge scar on her psyche which made her like this. It actually works and is a plausible explanation if you think about it.
Real talk? I followed the stupid precedent of Hamuko just being a love interest for Minato but now, after a long hiatus and a little thought and maturing, she can be a lot more. Whether she's a sibling/cousin/love interest, Hamuko is still a badass with a wild card and death to boot, I know Minato is more generally loved and his chapters bring in more reviews and views but Hamuko can be just as cool and badass if people build her up enough.
Now here she is. Facing off against the strongest antagonist of the story so far. I like to think the growth and maturation was organic and the wild card awakening mirrored the p4.
As always, I hope you enjoy.
"Lie down and rest Minato,"
Stare.
"You need it," Hamuko urged, forcing him to sit down on his bed.
Stare.
"Come on," Hamuko grabbed his shoulders. "Rest easy, I'll watch over you…"
Stare and a few unshed tears.
Hamuko sighed and gently rested Minato on the bed. "There, now you sleep…" she said, ruffling his hair but Minato didn't respond. He kept staring at her with his usual blank face. Hamuko parted his bangs to the side and held back the guilt and depression upon seeing his wounded eye.
"No," she bottled up the emotions and looked at him with a forced smile. "I have to be strong…" she chanted, last time she blinked, Minato ended up crumbling again but not this time. She had to be strong for him, every flinch from her empowered Makoto and she was not going to allow that any longer.
"I've already caused too much," Hamuko muttered, it was her weakness and fear that made Makoto so strong before. Maybe, deep down, Minato was hoping for her to pull him out of the darkness again and she had failed at that so many times before but not anymore.
"Sleep, alright?" Hamuko said softly. "Let me get a bowl and cloth to clean you up…" she turned around to walk but Minato grabbed her sleeve, halting Hamuko who looked over her shoulder to see Minato staring at her again and this time, it was almost like he was pleading.
"Forgive me…." Minato muttered.
"You need to forgive me," Hamuko replied, squeezing his shoulder. "Sleep Minato, you need to rest… Please, sleep…"
Hamuko stayed at the same spot for a few more minutes until Minato fell asleep, most likely to the after-effects of the numerous pills and shots. "Sweet dreams…." she quietly walked out of his room.
"Heey!" Yukari cheered but Hamuko immediately hushed her down. "Sorry…." the brunette muttered.
"Let's go down, he's finally sleeping without those pills," Hamuko spoke faintly and the two females slowly walked away with barely audible footsteps.
Mitsuru saw Hamuko coming down the steps. She stood up from the couch and the rest came out from the kitchen for another small meeting.
"Hey guys," Hamuko rubbed the back of her neck, embarrassed to look them in the eyes. "I-I'm sorry for all that I've done in the past few weeks…."
"I forgave you the moment you came back to save Minato," Mitsuru smiled. "Well done, I knew you would be the one to reach him again…"
"That was awesome, Hamu-tan," Junpei fist-pumped. "Makoto ran for his life, he was scared shitless."
"That summoning was Minato-like," Akihiko commented with a smirk. "I needed to see that again."
"Your power is the exact same as Minato-kun now," Fuuka noted.
"Nah, I still think Minato is a few steps ahead of me," Hamuko replied. "I don't think I can dual summon like he does but hey…. I'm happy with what I got."
"How did you get it?" Mitsuru asked. "I'm not interrogating you but do you remember anything?"
"I've been getting headaches for the past few days," Hamuko replied. "Headaches and bouts of blood-lust at times…. That's why I ran away, so I could avoid lashing out on you guys…"
"I don't know what happened, honestly," Hamuko said. "When I woke up due to Fuuka calling out to me, I felt something different. I was afraid of him but there was this voice inside of my head, telling me to head over here and I followed it."
"You've certainly gotten a lot stronger than before," Mitsuru commented. "By leaps and bounds, actually…."
"So when I came back and saw that bastard standing over Minato, I lost it," Hamuko said. "All the fear, all the hesitation went away and I just charged in without caring about what I was getting into."
"Then I saw the evoker and got into a trance of sorts," Hamuko continued. "Everything around me blurred, except for the evoker and Makoto…"
Mitsuru noted that her facial expression and stare was strikingly similar to Minato when he first summoned on the rooftop back in the summer. "Go on…"
"When I summoned, every last bit of the fear went away," Hamuko said. "It was like something flipped a switch. I was terrified of Makoto before but now… All that fear is gone."
"You awakened to his power and maybe that took care of the fear," Fuuka wondered. "I don't need to say this but Minato-kun is very special, even among persona-users."
"That fearlessness and power," Mitsuru said. "There was and still is a special aura around Minato and now…. I feel the same from you."
"Thank God," Junpei sighed in peace, munching down on a slice of pizza after weeks of starvation. "I almost wanted to cry upon seeing you two and I'm sorry for all the times I snapped at ya…"
"You guys should have slapped me, to be honest," Hamuko flinched as she thought back to her helplessness which had cost Minato a lot. "I feel sick of myself for allowing that to happen."
"And thank you…" Hamuko said, bowing deep at the group, hands on knees and face towards the ground. "Thank you so much for taking care of Minato, if you weren't there….." she dreaded to think further on that. "Just. Thank. You, I can't say that enough…."
"He's our friend too ya know?" Yukari smiled.
"Where is Aigis?" Hamuko asked, unable to spot the android. "She deserves a special thanks for her efforts, where is my darling mechanical maiden?"
"She's resting," Ken spoke up. "Those attacks took out a lot out of her. Thank God you arrived because Aigis was very close to over-heating."
"What now?" Mitsuru asked Hamuko. "Do you have any plans?"
Hamuko nodded. "Yeah, the plan is to shred Makoto to pieces and burn them to ashes," she spat, the rage flaring upon the thought of the bastard. "He's all mine and I will beat him to death with my own hands."
"Let us help you," Mitsuru said. "You managed to hurt him badly. I think a group attack will finish him off for good."
Hamuko shook her head. "No, Makoto is mine and mine alone. He's my demon and only I get to hurt him, no one else," she stated. "I said this before to Aigis. If I'm not the one to finish Makoto then I'll be able to forgive myself, I'll never be able to look Minato in the eye. I must be the only one to save him, for his sake and mine."
"Are you sure you can handle him?" Akihiko said. "He's still pretty strong…"
"Leave it to me," Hamuko said, confident in her new abilities. "There is no running away now; I'll fight till either one of us drops. That I promise."
"Good luck," Akihiko said. "We still have a lot to work out but at least you can take care of the biggest pain in the ass since Strega…"
"Speaking off," Hamuko turned towards the heiress. "Senpai, thank you for leading the team, despite going through all that…." she winced. "You can attend to your group; I'll handle the rest now."
"I appreciate the hand," Mitsuru smiled slightly. "But not until Minato is back to his senses."
"Thank you," Hamuko said, picking up a bowl and cloth from the kitchen. "Seriously guys, you can rest, I'll handle him for now."
Junpei fell back on the couch. "Thank you, hell I can sleep on the couch, nobody disturb me."
Hamuko laughed and went up the steps and then towards the end of the hall. She took a deep breath at Minato's doorstep. "I have to pull him out of his depression…" she said to herself. "I have to make him realize that the bonds of friendship have changed him…" she quietly opened the door and since Minato was sleeping, flinched and paled upon seeing his grotesque condition. Those scars were never going to heal and that was all her fault.
Hamuko dragged the chair towards his and sat down with the bowl on her lap. She dipped the cloth into the water and started cleaning his face. "Dammit…" those scars on his forehead and cheeks were hideous to look at, heck; some of them were still fresh wounds, soon to be nasty scars….
Scars….
Sho had a huge scar on his face too.
"Sho…" Hamuko muttered under his breath. The bond he had with Minato had changed him, changed him so much that he dove head-first into his death so he could save Minato. He was most likely gone and again, that was her fault, the blood was on her hands.
"Makoto…" she growled lowly. She was going to avenge Sho as well, she was indebted to him forever but at least this would put his soul at ease. "Your sacrifice will not go in vain…"
"Ugh," Minato woke up and took a deep breath.
Hamuko pulled the cloth away from his face and smiled at him again. "Minato…."
"…" another vacant stare was sent in her direction but Hamuko kept her composure, only widened her smile in hopes of calming him down.
"I missed you," Hamuko said softly. "I'm glad you came to…."
"…" Minato remained quiet and sunk deeper into the blood-soaked mattress. "I-I don't deserve you…"
"No," Hamuko shook her head, squeezing his hand. Minato winced and pulled it away, not due to the pain, due to something else entirely.
"Minato, you need to forgive yourself," Hamuko said. "Please, come back to us…."
"I-I don't deserve forgiveness…." Minato said slowly, looking up at the ceiling. "D-Do you think t-t-they would forgive me….?"
"I-I can hear their v-v-voices," Minato stammered due to the cuts on his tongue. "T-They are cursing me…"
"Telling me to burn in hell…"
"For all I did to them…."
"With a smile on my face…."
"No," Hamuko shook her head once more. "No…."
"The only thing I deserve is p-pain…." Minato chanted. "Only pain…"
"Stop it," Hamuko said.
"Pain…"
"Pain…"
"Pain…"
"Pain. Pain. Pain," Minato kept chanting the same word like he was in another trance. His eyes rolled to the back of his head and Hamuko stood up.
"No you don't," Hamuko shot back. "You deserve rest, after all that you've done for me and them."
Minato didn't register her words and kept repeating the word over and over again, with his face towards the ceiling. Hamuko grew a little terrified but like before, she pushed the fear to the back of her head and hovered over him. "Minato, don't do this to me…."
Minato stopped chanting the word and looked towards her. "D-Do you love me….?"
"More than anything," Hamuko took his hand and squeezed it again.
"Then kill me," Minato said coldly. His hand was ice-hold in her grip and Hamuko widened her eyes.
"Kill me right now," Minato pleaded. "I-I can't take this anymore…."
"Shit…" Hamuko held back the tears. This was so fucking painful to see.
"I-I can't live with these sins on my b-back," Minato broke down and made a move to abuse his wounds but Hamuko caught that and pinned his hands against the bed, halting him from self-mutilation. "Kill me. Right now!"
"If you ever loved me!"
"Minato, stop!" Hamuko begged. She was easily able to hold him down but she could see the pain on his features, even from the smallest of pressure. "Stop!"
Minato tried to wrestle free from her grip but Hamuko was easily able to stifle his attempts again.
"Tch…" she bit her lip. He was so strong before and now… "You don't deserve this!" she looked towards face and he was crying again. "No. I have to be strong…"
Minato kept sobbing out hysterically but the redhead kept him glued to the bed, despite the screams and cries which were doing a number on her sanity.
Hamuko begrudgingly exerted more pressure and Minato cried out in pain. "Y-Yes, like that, make me suffer."
"Ugh," Hamuko started shaking. She was hurting him but... "No, no, no..." she lessened the hold around his wrists but still kept him pinned to the bed. "Don't do this to yourself, please!"
"Makoto," Minato said breahtlessly, momentarily freezing the female in place. "He's calling out to me..."
"Don't listen to him!" Hamuko shouted. "Listen to me!"
"He's saying I'm a piece of shit," Minato said, repeating along with the voice in his head, the voice of his creation, Makoto. "I don't deserve happiness or forgiveness..."
"Only pain,"
"NO!"
"There is nothing left for me,"
"My sins are too great,"
Hamuko bit her lip. This was him, this was him talking. Makoto was his own desire. This was so fucking twisted but, that despair, that desire of Minato, the destructive side, the negative side of his personality was her enemy. This wasn't Minato, the real Minato was lost somewhere in the darkness.
"Makoto!" Hamuko shouted out. "Come out and face me here, coward!"
Minato kept struggling against her. "Ugh, let me go!" he sobbed some more. "Dammit kill me! Don't you care about me?!
"..."
"I'm dying on the inside!" he panted. "I can't take it anymore!"
"Minato..." Hamuko reached for the tranquilizer with her other hand. She chewed on her bottom lip and closed her eyes. "It was never you Minato, for god's sake remember that one night!" she shouted at the top of her lungs and just when Minato turned around to look at her, Hamuko injected the sedative into his bloodstream and Minato fell asleep almost instantly.
"Sweet dreams, Minato," Hamuko panted, kissing his bruised forehead and standing up straight. She was heart-broken from the display but... "I can take it, for you..."
Hamuko reached into her soul and went through the list of her personae. The influx was incredible and she knew that her power was limitless, her sea of soul had expanded after the previous summoning and she knew just the place that would aid her.
"Tomorrow then..." Hamuko said to herself. "I'll be taking Minato along with me..." she could only do this during the Dark Hour because carrying a half-dead teenager in public would surely cause trouble and there was no way she was going to leave Minato alone in the dorm, with that son of a bitch roaming around.
...
...
"Hey," Hamuko said with a smile, the next day, during the Dark Hour. She had to try a little to wake Minato up but he woke and thankfully, didn't start beating himself over. He stared at her intently and Hamuko helped him stand up. "Want to take a walk with me?"
"..." Minato remained silent as Hamuko pulled a heavy jacket over his body.
"Come on, I'll be there..." she grabbed his hand and forced him to lean his weight on her. "Let's go..." and she started walking out of his room and down the steps where Mitsuru and Akihiko were waiting.
"Are you sure you can do this alone?" Mitsuru asked for the hundreth time. "I can send Akhiko along with you..."
"We need some private couple talk," Hamuko complained. "Give us some time and don't worry, I'll be fine!"
Mitsuru sighed. "Take care of him..."
"I will," Hamuko said as she dragged him out. The two stepped out and Hamuko closed the door to the dorm. The Dark Hour was really no time to hang out since everything was dead but this was the only chance that she had.
"Look at the beautiful..." she opened her mouth, trying to cheer Minato up. "Uh... Uh..." she struggled to think of something, anything that wasn't red and green.
"Look at me!" she cheered but Minato remained motionless and expressionless, somewhat souring her mood. "Once you get better, we'll have a talk about this..." she muttered under her breath and carefully started dragging him away.
During the walk, Hamuko tried her hardest to remind Minato on that night. The night where they first met, a decade ago, the night which had caused him to turn into the demon he was. "We met before, I don't think you remember but I remember it faintly..."
"I recall our cars crashing into each other... and our parents dying on the collision," she bit her lip. "I got out first and then you followed..."
Minato squeezed and dug his nails into her forearm, not liking the memory that was creeping into his skull. Hamuko rubbed his back in return, she wanted that horrible tragerdy to remain in the back of his mind was this essential.
"I remember something evil, a dark mist that tore into my chest for a few seconds..."
"..."
"I couldn't move because it was horrible..." Hamuko recalled the dreadful feeling; it used to scare the ever loving shit out of her whenever she thought back to it. Even thinking back to it made her cry because those few seconds had scarred her psyche badly but now, the memory didn't horrify her that much, most likely due to the awakening of her wild card. "I cried, I yelled, I begged someone to push me away and..."
"Ugh," Minato winced.
"That someone was you..." Hamuko continued. "You didn't know me but you came running in and pushed me away and that damn demon ended up choosing you instead..."
"L-Lies..."
Hamuko paused for a few seconds. "I don't have any proof but believe me Minato, all that has happened, that wasn't you doing it, you're so kind that you pushed me away despite not knowing me..."
"The real Minato is the kindest person I know," Hamuko said. "The real Minato is my messiah…"
"Lies…" Minato repeated. "I-I did this all…. And for that, I deserve punishment."
"No," Hamuko disagreed. "You stupid idiot, I fell for you the moment I saw you again, after all those years because you've done too much for me…"
"We've met before, Minato," Hamuko said. "Please, please remember it. Remember that night. It will cause you pain but you need to remember and forgive yourself because it breaks my heart seeing you like this, suffering for the sins that you didn't commit."
"Those sins are mine…"
Hamuko looked ahead and saw the back alley. She reached into his pocket and pulled out the key. "Come on, take it easy, one step at a time…." she smiled again, guiding the injured blunet into the back alley. She looked behind her back one last time to search for Makoto and he wasn't there. Hamuko hoped that he would show up so that she could beat him into the ground, right in front of Minato's eyes.
Hamuko turned on the knob and the blue light blinded the two teenagers for a few seconds.
"Welcome to the Velvet Room!" Elizabeth's chirpy voice made Hamuko open her eyes. She saw the two residents of the room sitting and standing in the same spot as always. "So nice to see you again."
"Hello," Hamuko bowed her head at Igor and then at Elizabeth. "I know I shouldn't be using his key but…"
"I am aware," Igor said calmly. "You have awakened to your true power which lay dormant before."
Hamuko walked forward and rested Minato on the single chair. The blunet kept staring at Igor who smiled back at him kindly. Deep down, the master of the Velvet Room was sad to see his guest in such a condition but he knew that Minato was in good hands now.
Minato sunk into the chair, somewhat calm due to the music that was soothing the guilt inside his soul. He gave a sigh and closed his eyes, slowly passing out to sleep due to the moment of peace.
"It pains me to see him like this," Elizabeth bit her lip. "Hopefully, our dear guest recovers and comes back."
"I take it you know what is going on?" Hamuko said, turning to Igor.
"Yes," Igor nodded. "Minato's desire has taken shape and form. The desire to suffer for his actions…"
"I begged him to let it go but he keeps blaming himself," Hamuko said. "I even tried to make him remember that one night but…."
"His despair is not normal," Igor said. "The despair was potent enough to shatter a wild card, a very special wild card like him."
"I am amazed he is still alive," he continued. "If this was anyone else, I am certain they would have died a long time ago."
"How did I awaken to mine?" Hamuko asked. "What the hell happened to me?"
"I cannot say,"
Hamuko sighed. Typical of him.
"However, I can help you," Igor said with his trademark grin. "Minato's wild card is still superior but your new power is limitless as well. Infinite possibilities, like the number zero."
"I'm thankful for this power," Hamuko said. "But…. Even with it, I don't think I can help Minato." she turned back at Igor. "Please, heal his mind or something; he can't go on like this."
"We cannot heal his mental wounds," Elizabeth said, glancing at his body. "Or his physical wounds..."
Hamuko lowered her head.
"You need to be strong," Elizabeth said, making her look up at her. "Hamuko-san, remember what I told you the last time you visited, this time, you need to grab his hand and pull him out of trouble."
"How can I do that?" Hamuko said slowly. "He doesn't listen to me; he just keeps on trying to hurt himself. I don't like stabbing him with needles but he leaves me no choice."
"That shadow is still roaming around," Elizabeth noted. "He's calling out to Minato, as we speak."
"Makoto…. That bastard," Hamuko cursed. "What about him?"
"That shadow represents the despair of Minato," Igor started. "He is the destructive side of his psyche, full of grief and despair. You literally cannot get a different vibe from him because in essence, that is what Makoto is."
"Minato's desire, his twisted desire given form," Elizabeth continued. "And now, to you…"
"Me?" Hamuko blinked.
"You said it yourself a while ago," Igor said. "Without you, Minato would have died a long time ago."
"You and you alone managed to keep him going," Elizabeth said. "If you were not there, Minato wouldn't have survived."
"…"
"This might be a little cliché and cheesy but I think it is safe to say that you are his hope," Elizabeth smiled.
Hamuko widened her eyes, warmth bubbling inside of her upon hearing those words which definitely instilled more confidence and responsibility into her. "I'm his hope….?"
"You are his hope while that shadow is his despair," Igor said. "A battle between hope and despair…. I do not think I need to say more."
"Hope and despair are like yin and yang," Igor glided his hand over the table and the contract that she had signed long ago spawned under his command. "You give him hope or Makoto gives him despair, whoever reaches him first will be the victor."
"I am his hope…." Hamuko looked back at Minato and smiled. Those words, hell even the word hope brought her warmth. It was so cheesy just like Elizabeth had said but she embraced it because this was her time, her time to shine.
"We will help you," Igor said. "As long as you accept the responsibility for your actions, like I always have requested."
"I do," Hamuko nodded.
Igor turned to Elizabeth. "As a reward, I think it would be suitable for you to use Minato's personae, the ones he has stored into the compendium."
"Thank you!" Hamuko bowed again. "I can thank you guys enough, thank you for everything so far."
"The real journey is just beginning," Igor chuckled. "But I will tell you this…" he pointed at Minato. "You managed to pull him out of the darkness before which I thought would be nigh-impossible and you will be blessed for that."
His smile disappeared. "Blessed or cursed; only time will tell…"
Elizabeth opened up the tome in her palms and Hamuko grinned upon feeling the surge of power. Those personae, they were calling out to her and she couldn't wait to use all those Gods and demons to dismantle Makoto.
…
Hamuko carried Minato on her shoulders and left the room. Igor released a deep sigh and leaned back on the seat. "I legitimately feel sorry for them."
"Fate is just too cruel to them," Elizabeth sighed along.
"Indeed, cursed with the most ruthless and demonic entity of ancient times," Igor looked up at the ceiling. "Nyx has yet to come….."
"Nyx," Elizabeth bit her lip. "I suppose even you do not know what is to come?"
"No," Igor affirmed. "They are dealing with the being born of chaos. I cannot say."
…
Hamuko rested Minato back on his bed as the rest looked on from behind her. She ruffled his hair and turned around, taking in a deep breath. That conversation with Igor had left only one road for her. "Makoto…." Hamuko could feel it in her veins, Minato couldn't on much longer, the time to confront her fear and Minato's despair was now. Makoto represented both; he was the personification of her dread and his despair. He was indeed a demon mutual to both.
"Are you still going to face him alone?" Mitsuru asked.
"I told you before," Hamuko said. "Makoto is mine, if I don't beat him, I'm dead."
Mitsuru nodded back at her. "I understand. I have faith in you. Do remember that you carry the wishes of us along with you, we all wish to see him get better."
"Don't let us down," Yukari clenched her fist.
"Most importantly, do not let Minato-san down," Aigis added.
"I won't," Hamuko promised. Just a couple of hours left now. The Dark Hour was over by the time she got to the dorm but tomorrow, midnight was judgment day.
…
Makoto formed within Tartarus the next night. He stepped out from the shadows and headed towards the lobby and whispered the name of the broken blunet. "Come to me Minato, it is time to finish my work." he looked down and cursed. He was trembling because he knew Minato was not coming alone.
Hamuko stepped aside from the bed as Minato sat up, in his usual daze under the call of Makoto. He stumbled his way towards the door and Hamuko walked behind him. "I'll be right behind you…" she gripped the handle of Minato's blade tightly.
After one final wave to her friends, Hamuko followed Minato out of the dorm. He was headed right for the gates of Tartarus, the place where the nightmare began weeks ago.
Makoto paced around the gates of Tartarus and swore under his breath. He wasn't wrong. He could feel someone else coming along with Minato. "Dammit, that bitch had to show up…"
How the hell did she even have the power!? It made no sense but one thing for sure, that new power of hers was going to be a real in his ass. After a few more minutes, Minato came into his view and Makoto stepped forward. "So you finally came…." he said, eyeing the blunet who walked a few more steps before collapsing due to the pain and fatigue.
Hamuko quickly ran over to the downed male and stood in front of him. She hissed and scowled at the darkened teenager. "Fuck you."
"Ugh," Makoto took a step back but he came right back with a scowl of his own. "You think you're tough bitch?"
"I know who you are," Hamuko said. "You are everything wrong in his life and mine."
"I was born from him," Makoto shot back. "Stop trying to interfere with destiny and let that bastard have his stupid wish."
"Guess what asshole," Hamuko grinned. "Minato has been wrong before and he's dead wrong here."
"Grr," Makoto growled. "You don't know shit!"
"On the contrary," Hamuko shook her head. "I know our roles. Hope and despair. Literally that, either I pull him up and give him hope or you drag him down and kill him with despair."
"I was created for one singular purpose, just like a machine," Makoto said. "Mine is to punish him. That is all I can think of, to punish him for all that he has done."
"You will not be getting in my way," the shadow promised. "In fact, it will be even better for him to see his 'hope' drown in a sea of her own blood."
"I am not afraid of you anymore," Hamuko spat. "I am done running like a little bitch, this time, you run, this time, I'll make you into a bitch, I promise on his life!"
Minato panted behind Hamuko but she didn't look back. She couldn't take her eyes off of Makoto for one second. "I know he's watching. I'm proud of Minato, despite that you've done to him, he's still alive and I know, I know that Minato is fighting back the despair with all that he has, even now!"
"Makes me sick you're fighting for someone like him," Makoto hissed, holding up his sword. A part of him was still trembling from just looking Hamuko in the eye but this was his mission, his only mission and he intended to finish it. "You know who he is and what he has done-"
"He is not the same anymore," Hamuko interjected. "The bonds of friendships have changed him, just you wait. Minato will rise up and he'll help in beating the shit outta you."
"Still clinging onto that hope, huh?" Makoto sneered.
"Don't talk too much Makoto," Hamuko widened her eyes, the demonic glint returning to her irises. She took a step forward and Makoto did the same time. "You are his demon and I will exorcise you in the worst possible way."
"Very well," Makoto and Hamuko looked towards Minato who was moving slightly and then back at each other, right under the blood-red moon.
"Time to fucking die!" Hamuko screamed, rattling the darkened teenager. She sounded just like the old Minato but he discarded the fear and yelled back at her, at full force.
"Time to fucking repent!" Makoto roared back and the two took off running towards each other.
Danganronpa vibes are strong here but its the truth. It's hope and despair. I'll be honest, chapters 1-25 sucked. I fucked up with a lot of things but I promise the end ride will be good. The next arc will be the final one and that will be more dreadful, more horrible, more painful than the previous ones. I have something special planned for Ryoji and Nyx, it will be cruel but I promise entertainment and electricity.
As always, do review and tell me your thoughts. Cheers my sadistic psycho friends. o/
