Chapter 6-Quest for the Crown

Following up on Applejack and Twilight's epic battle with Heatblast and Avalanche, both of which have required new powers to defeat them.

Twilight: That was amazing I can't believe I can control steel and you control stone.

Applejack: I knew I felt strong but that was something else.

Twilight: So, we those two dealt with want to meet up the girls.

Applejack: Sure.

As Twilight Sparkle and Applejack went up to visit Sugarcube Corner. Nighthawk and Crimson Dagger were stunned.

Crimson: Well that something all right.

Nighthawk: Yes, but that does not mean the plan has changed.

After the two villains left, it is now the day of the Crown Cup

Celestia and Luna: It was a great honor to introduce you to the Crown Cup!

Students: Applauded with excitement.

Celestia: We like to introduce to our first team: Duke Starlight, Jackpot Night, Brisk Storm, River Sparkle, Star Storm, Velvet Haze, Swift Charge- the Warhawks.

Warhawks enter the gym running and screaming giving the crowd their cheer.

Students: WARHAWKS! WARHAWKS! WARHAWKS!

Luna: Next up we have Sapphire Storm, Ocean Breeze, Strawberry Swing, Scarlet Aurora, Nightlight Charm, Snowflake, Amethyst Diamond- the Awesome Queens.

The Queens gave their fashion-style walk.

Students: Yes!

Celestia: Our third team Comet Force, Mythic Shine, Steel Whistle, Thunder Spark, Solar Comet, Solar Bristle, Arctic Mask- the Spirit Blades.

Spirit Blades shake left and right and ran into the gym.

Luna: Team Four are Rocky Arrow, Sweetie Snowflake, Aqua Berry, Comet Flash, Emerald Starlight, Jade Colt, Jade Ace, Star Cupcake – the Young Chargers.

Celestia: Team Five are Thunder Hornet, Crimson Dagger, Dark Fox, Iron Owl, Ghostfreak, Terrible Trickster, Nighthawk – the Dark Legion

Luna: Team Six are Highroller, Silver Dollar, Blackjack, Gambit, Grendel, Johnny Rotten, Honeycomb – the Gamblers.

Celestia: Team Seven are Richard, Wayne, Dana, Emily, Duke, Oliver, Lucy – the Underground Union

Luna: Scottaloo, Sweetie Belle, Apple Bloom, Jake, Calvin, Zeltrax, Mallory – the Rising Stars.

With extending practice the Rising Stars entered the gymnasium one by one and their poses.

Celestia: Team Eight are Soundwave, Remix, Beatdown, Pied Piper, Groundbreaker, Black Siren, Randy- the Boom Squad.

Luna: The Ninth Team is the Forever Knights please give a warm welcome to Driscoll, Enoch, Roundabout, Cavalier, Lance, Arthur, Percival, and Merlin.

Celestia: Our last team is the Mane 7.

As the girls enter the fans went crazy.

Pinkie: I keep forgetting that was popular.

Twilight and Fluttershy: I will say!

Mr. Lawrence: All right students settle down the principal still has some things to address.

Celestia: Thank, you. Now students as you will know the Crown Cup will be a single-elimination tournament style leave with one team winning it all.

As Celestia and Luna were talking, all team members doing giving prep talks before the bracket was announced.

Luna: For the teams, the safe is the Mane 7, Dark Legion, Rising Stars, and the Forever Knights.

Celestia: So, our first-round matchups will be the Warhawks vs the Awesome Queens, Regal Stingers vs Spirit Blades, Young Chargers vs Gamblers, and lastly Underground Union vs Boom Squad.

After everyone left the Dark Legion made sure that were only people in the gym, not realizing that some else was watching from the shadows

Nighthawk: All right everyone our moment is almost here we just need to win and then the world will be ours.

Ghostfreak: All said and done but there is one problem.

Dark Fox: The Mane Seven have gotten new elemental powers.

Nighthawk: I know but trust me, I made sure that won't get a chance to use them because made put a power damper on the premises. We don't need to worry.

As Nighthawk reassured that his plan was foolproof, the girls were over at Rainbow's House discussing their elemental powers.

Rainbow: And then out of nowhere a weird energy flow through me and the next thing I know, boom I was in the air without my wings.

Pinkie: Same thing with me I was minding my own business, and next thing you know I become a joy buzzer.

As the night rolled through, the rest of the gang told their story, Fluttershy told them that she was able to bring vines with just a thought. Sunset explained that while she was busy falling asleep, she didn't realize that hair was fire and that she felt fine. Next up was Rarity, as she works on her late stet design, she realized that the icicle was on her shoulder.

Twilight: So, it happens to you guys as well.

Sunset: Twi, what do you mean?

Twilight: I mean, that Applejack and I experienced the same thing, while she and I fought some bad guys we felt a powerful surge and gave me the power to control steel out of thin air and Applejack the power of stone.

Applejack: It was strange, but we use them gave those two a beating.

Rarity: Yes, it is strange that we got new powers maybe Princess Twilight knows something about this.

Sunset: I wish but she's not even sure.

Rainbow: If we got new elemental powers that must be that someone is up no good is sure to follow.

As the others ponder on Rainbow's Dash that a new foe was about to emerge. They went to bed to get a good night's rest. Meanwhile in a Dark Alley in Canterlot City the masked strangers were talking to each other.

Masked One: Are you sure is it here?

Masked Two: Yes, the crown is here we must find it before the Dark Legion can use it.

As the First Round comes to hold the two strangers could pose an obstacle for the Dark Legion.
