Hello. How you guys doing? Been a while eh? I'm sorry for the long wait but I had some health problems going on... and by health problems I meant I lost about 15 pounds and spent days in the hospital and of course, like I said before, 2018 was not going to be easy because college work and tests so... Sorry bout that.
I'm not going to troll you. Feb is here but I'm not quitting this, or FM. It'll haunt me for the rest of my life if I did. It will be slow but... all I can manage right now.
I'm still a bit weaker and still sorta sick but I'll get the next chapter out, soonish I hope.
Reviews.
Hanae Kokoro-chan: Brace yourself for this one. And oh, the lemon is already done, just have to get there. Thanks for the review.
Reader : Well, if their bond was as lovely... the fic would have been a one shot, nuff said. :P Thank you.
Guest : You know.. thankfully, its looking like it was a site error instead of hacking, thankfully.
Crimson Eyes : Glad you enjoyed it and I'm sorry for the bad Hamuko direction in the starting. There is a bad precedent in the fandom, about Hamuko being a love interest and nothing more and looking at it now, it makes me sick because even without death, she has the wild card but.. if it helps a little, Hamuko was always stronger than the other persona users. :P like Mitsuru, Aigis and Shinjiro, etc because even with bad direction, I can't see her being weaker than anyone other than Minato. Hopefully you enjoy the story and I thank you for the praise.
Here we go. Hopefully you enjoy.
After resting the broken Minato down, Sho crouched down to his level and bit his lip. God, he looked more broken than usual and he knew why as he had heard a little bit of what Nyx was saying, threatening to scar Hamuko if he did not show himself.
Even now, despite being a much better person, Minato was still unpredictable when it came to Hamuko. Sho did not doubt that he would do something terrible if God forbid something happened to Hamuko. This was the reason Sho told the others to keep their mouth shut and not even suggested killing Hamuko as mercy because Minato was not going to tolerate that.
"So, what is next?" Junpei asked. "There is still one tower, right?"
"Yeah and I don't think Minato can handle another battle with Nyx right now," Akihiko winced. God, how many times was he mercilessly beaten to the ground by her?
"Smart thing would be to split up," Sho said, standing up and cracking his neck. "One team gets the mirror shards and the other one distracts Nyx."
The other teenagers exchanged glances and shrugged, nodding at each other. With Minato nearby, they were not going to say no. Sho and Minato had set an example that Gods were beatable, proven so many times now.
"Alright," Mitsuru said, grabbing her rapier. "I think you should distract Nyx, you have gotten a lot stronger with your new persona."
"Okay, I'm taking a few of them; you grab the rest and explore the tower," Sho said. "Who is coming with me?"
"Minato-san," Aigis winced, desperately wanting some sort of response from Minato but he didn't answer, didn't even spare a glance at her. "Please…"
Yukari bit her lip. Aigis looked so broken and devastated, even for a self-proclaimed machine with no emotions. She was begging Minato to look at her, acknowledge her but he never did and she expected nothing different from him.
"Aigis, what about you?" Fuuka asked.
Aigis got up and looked over to the tower, the pyramid like structure of Nemesis. "I will explore the tower."
"Alright then," Sho said. "Akihiko, Yukari and myself will engage Nyx. The rest of you better get those damn glass shards and give my friend some peace, you got that!?"
Mitsuru nodded. She looked back and Minato had gotten back up to his feet.
"You better," his voice was cold, as cold as the time he first arrived to the dorm and that was a red flag for the others. "Get them."
"What will you do?" Sho asked.
Minato grabbed a hold of Fuuka's collar and picked her up, ignoring her yelping.
"SHUT THE FUCK UP!" he roared in annoyance and started walking off. "I'm going to heal myself. Do your fucking job and do not fail me or else…" with that, he disappeared into the darkness along with Fuuka, somewhat reducing the intense and dreadful vibe around the area.
"Wow, he's looking so much like…" Junpei gulped, remembering the remorseless demon who had dowsed him with alcohol and had burned a good chunk of the city to ashes.
"He was not lying when he said that Hamuko was his life preserver," Yukari sighed. "Poor Minato… First Makoto, then Ryoji and now Nyx…"
"We should do something to help him instead of pitying him," Sho spat. "Come with me, the rest of you head to the tower. If anything happens, I'll teleport and get them to safety."
"Roger," Mitsuru looked over the rest and they nodded. "See you soon."
"Yeah," Sho nodded and took off running, following Fuuka's direction. He had to be very careful with the battle and he made sure to tell the rest too. It was cheesy and bullshit but he knew the more he damaged Hamuko the more he damaged Minato. He made a mental note to be mostly on the defensive, attack when needed but keep the pressure and avoid inflicting bad wounds on her.
…
Mitsuru and the other stopped outside the pyramid and took a deep breath. Another battle with another God… They just hoped it was not going to be like the last battle, with the sleep spells and reality distortion.
"Alright-" Mitsuru blinked as Aigis brushed past her, kicked the gates open and stepped inside without another word. "Aigis!?"
"She looks focused," Junpei said. "And pissed."
"No time to waste," Ken said, gripping his spear tightly. "We need to go."
"Indeed," Mitsuru stepped inside the others followed, the gates slamming shut when they went inside.
…
"Interesting," Hamuko cracked her neck as the worms came into her view. Just three of them but one looked different, stronger than before but even with that, they had a look of concern and hesitation on their faces because they couldn't bear hurting their beloved friend. "Still as weak as ever…"
Sho gritted his teeth, noticing a wound from her wrist to her forearm. "No…"
"You…" Yukari hissed through her teeth. "What did you…?" there was no way Minato would have gashed her like that which meant…
She did that to herself…?
Sho shook his head and immediately summoned his persona, the other two behind him doing the same as Nyx looked on, still not impressed. Strength did not matter as long as they had the hesitation slowing them down.
"Come forth!"
"Oh shit!" Akihiko cried.
Dozens and dozens of shadows spawned upon her command and the persona users braced themselves for another tiring and defensive battle.
…
Fuuka summoned Juno and started guiding her friends, more careful on the battle against Hamuko because Minato was right next to her, head lowered and short, restless breaths escaping his throat.
"Um, Minato-kun," Fuuka called out weakly.
"Keep your mouth shut," Minato warned, blue mist swirling around his body as he started healing his wounds.
Fuuka bit her lower lip. He was back where he started, cold, callous and rude but…. This time, she couldn't blame him. He was a prime target for the Gods in the past few months. She couldn't even imagine the pressure and stress he was in and all the beatings he took from Hamuko surely didn't help his already damaged psyche and body.
Minato rubbed the back of his head, trying to put Nyx's words at the back of his mind. "Hamuko…." if Nyx did scar her…. He didn't know what he'd do.
"FUCK!"
Fuuka was startled but kept quiet like he wanted. She lowered her head and kept helping the other persona users in their battles.
…
After killing off the last shadow, Sho dismissed his persona and crossed his arms, skidding backwards when Hamuko crashed into him and started overpowering him-
Akihiko and Yukari pulled her back, leading to another screech from the possessed redhead as she powered her way out and expelled another burst of darkness, damaging and blowing the two teenagers backwards-
"Shit," Sho dropped his blades and met her charge head on, grabbing onto her and pushing her back, putting his weight on her to exhaust her, keep her the hell away from the tower because she knew what was going on.
Eventually, Hamuko ran over him and Sho jumped at her legs, tripping her down-
Another maddening screech rocked the area and the male pulled back, clasping his ears shut to block the torture to his ears. Hamuko got back to her feet and scowled at the three mortals, lunging at them with clenched fist.
"Persona!" the three shouted in unison.
…
"Persona!"
Nemesis broke through the horde of persona and flew up higher, yelling as she unleashed another rain of spells, forcing the teenagers to duck and dodge, firing back with elemental blasts and short summoning of their personas.
Nemesis was larger than Hypnos, clad in a mixture of robes and around her were three floating masks, brimming with power, discharging spells whenever the persona users got near her.
"Palladion!" Aigis growled and summoned yet again, sending her persona rushing towards Nemesis but like Hypnos, she was way too weak to compete with the God, getting beat up and ripped apart by the goddess, forcing the others to summon.
"Foolish children!" Nemesis roared to the skies, startling the teenagers but they remembered the battles before and yelled back in unison.
"…" Aigis rubbed her eyes and glanced at her fist, lips trembling because she was as worthless as ever.
"Here she comes!" Mitsuru shouted and Aigis was too slow. Nemesis slammed into her and crashed the android into the wall, drawing out a scream from Aigis but she froze the next second when she heard a giggle from the goddess.
"I can almost taste it," Nemesis said slowly. "You are far too deep in the abyss, there is no hope for you."
Nemesis flew up again to dodge the attacks from the other persona users. She hovered over them and giggled again, the masks around her pulsing with spells and power. Mitsuru yelled at the others to take cover as the goddess started her assault yet again.
…
Sho kept moving backwards, guard high to block the never ending kicks and punches from the possessed female who had knocked the other two down and was focusing entirely on him.
"Wake up!" Sho yelled, ducking underneath her kick and circling out of her range-
"You wake up!" Hamuko connected with a hard slap to the side of his face and Sho grabbed her shoulders, yelling out in hatred, right in her face before she punched him back and sent another horde of shadows for him-
"Persona!"
Sho's persona sliced through the shadows and disappeared immediately as Sho was conserving his energy, knowing he couldn't use too much of it. He had no choice but to engage her again, enduring the brutal assault and silently complimenting Minato who had managed to endure this.
"ISIS!"
Hamuko jumped away to avoid the tornado and yelled out in frustration, scaring the three as the Night Queen was losing it, slowly but surely.
"Where is he!?" Hamuko demanded. "Where is that disgusting son of a whore!?"
"Tch," Sho bit his lip, looking up at the possessed female with a scowl. She was insulting his dead mother and Sho felt mad even hearing that because Minato always had a soft spot for his parents, no matter how twisted he was.
Another unearthly yell from the goddess sent the teenagers crashing to the ground, the area around them swaying back and forth. They looked up and exhaled, wondering how on earth they were still fighting against such fearsome entities.
"It's all Minato's fault," Yukari gave a nervous giggle.
"Yeah and someday, I'll get him for this," Akihiko chuckled, banging his fists together as he stood up and glanced up at the evil entity.
…
Fuuka was almost sweating due to the fear rolling off Minato in waves. She could tell he was pissed, whether it was due to the beating or something else she did not know and she knew better not to question him.
"Mom…. Dad…" Minato bit his lip, Nyx cursing and damming them ringing over and over again in his ears. He clenched his fist and punched the ground, momentarily losing control of the healing but he retained his focus.
The only one who came close to Hamuko in terms of his love and devotion were his parents, especially his mother who had pushed him out of the car minutes before it exploded.
"FUCK!" he cursed out loud yet again, not caring he'd attract shadows or the cult members. He wanted to vent, he wanted to let it out, he wanted to ABUSE-
"No," he breathed out.
He was not going to hurt Hamuko.
He was not going to hurt her.
No chance….
Fuuka gulped and lowered her head. His guilt and emotions were too complex for her to understand because after all, she did not know how terrible it was to be hunted by Gods.
…
Nemesis broke through the ice and winced, suffering damage from the frost bite of Mitsuru's persona. She backed off to avoid the swing of blades and pushed them backwards, panting slightly because she was taking damage as the fight went on because the teenagers were no pushovers, except for…
Nemesis glanced at Aigis who still looked lost, conflicted and afraid. Every time she summoned, her persona got torn to bits by the much larger God and every time she charged, that giggle from Nemesis stopped her in her tracks.
"It is not fear holding me back…" Aigis muttered, looking down as flashes of the past replayed over and over again in her mind. "Minato-san…"
She couldn't pull the trigger as her processors were consumed with just one thought, of Minato and no one else.
"Aigis, look sharp!" Mitsuru yelled-
Much like before, Aigis was way too slow and was caught off by the goddess, suffering a ton of damage from the overload of elemental spells, mostly lighting that knocked her back down with a cry.
"Minato-san!"
…
Minato had gotten up to his feet, head still lowered but most of the wounds had closed up. He stumbled around and rested his back against the wall, trying to think of anything happy to get his goddamn mind off the thoughts plaguing his mind, thoughts of him getting his hands around Hamuko-
"No," Minato hissed through his teeth. Just a few minutes left now, he could always find someone else to abuse, maybe another God…
…
Exhaustion was already taking over their bodies but the three persona users were still relentless, moving forward and grabbing onto Hamuko to block her way, keep her in the area so the others could finish Nemesis.
"Let me go!" Hamuko yelled out loud again, easily blowing them backwards with another surge of darkness but like always, they brushed off the damage and crowded her again, only to get blown backwards again.
Hamuko hunched over as the three stood up again, ready to block her path but this time, they had to stop as she summoned a dagger in her grip and held it up.
"No," Yukari widened her eyes, taking a step back in fear.
"No, don't do it!" Sho almost pleaded because he knew what Nyx was going to do Hamuko-
With another scream in their direction, Hamuko plunged the blade into the already bruised flesh, exploding into a fit of demented laughter as the color drained from the faces of the persona users who again questioned themselves…. What the fuck were they fighting against?
Another bruised arm, more blood spilled and more nightmares for Minato. This was all too easy for Nyx as she pulled the knife out and held it against her chest-
Seeing that, Sho dropped his weapons and jumped on top of her, snatching the dagger away and drawing another condescending laugh from Hamuko.
"Pathetic!"
"Sorry, Minato,"
…
Mitsuru panted and looked back to see the others struggling as well. True to what Hypnos had said, Nemesis was much stronger and much more durable, able to break through their holds but the biggest issue was Aigis.
Mitsuru looked back to see the android as lost and as dead as ever, confused and not sure what to. Protecting Aigis and keeping her safe constantly had taken a toll on them too.
"Hahahahaha," Nemesis was damaged as well but as a goddess, her endurance and stamina was much more than mortals. She flew up again as the persona users watched on helplessly, not able to summon their own personas because they were dead tired.
"Behold the true power of a goddess!" she warned the others, summoning about a dozen more masks around her, alerting the teenagers who had to cover themselves up but it was too late-
The masks around her exploded and meshed together, raining down in the form of a rainbow colored beam that crashed into the bodies of the mortals, eliciting horrible screams of pains from them, heard all over the area as the goddess laughed because victory was close.
…
"They are in trouble!" Fuuka yelled out. "Guys, guys, are you okay-" she stopped in her tracks when Minato grabbed a hold of her shoulder and cracked his neck, speaking slowly but dangerously as well.
"Aigis…" he called out, barely able to hold back the venom in his tone.
…
"M-Minato-san…" Aigis opened her eyes upon hearing his voice and looked around to see her friends sprawled across the ground, knocked down and almost out by the brutal assault.
"You haven't changed at all, bitch,"
Aigis winced upon the insult and slowly got to her knees, heading lowered in front of Nemesis who watched on, pretty sure that the worthless machine was just that, worthless.
"I deserve your scorn, Minato-san," Aigis replied slowly, the night 10 years ago flashing before her eyes. "What did I did to you was…"
"What did you did to Hamuko, you mean," Minato scowled, freezing her in place.
Hamuko?
Where did she even come from?
"Did you think I would forget what you did to her?" Minato hissed, remembering the night ten years ago. "You left her for dead that night."
"I…" Aigis lowered her head some more. He was right, she had chosen Hamuko as the seal at first until Minato came running to push her out and take the demon instead.
"You are doing the same now," Minato continued. "Here you are, face down and ass up, as worthless and as pathetic as ever! You started this, you abhorrent bitch!"
"I did…" Aigis admitted.
Nemesis didn't bother attacking, instead she sat back and giggled, enjoying the break down that was happening before her eyes.
"Aigis!" Mitsuru called. "G-Get up!"
"I started all this…." Aigis kept whispering.
"Because you are weak!"
"Because I am weak…"
"You are worthless, you piece of junk!"
"I am worthless…"
"I FUCKING DESPISE YOU FOR WHAT YOU DID TO HAMUKO!"
Aigis looked up with a gasp. After all that happened to him, he was pissed at her for what she tried to do to Hamuko…?
"Minato-san…" Aigis slowly got to her feet, glancing over at the goddess.
"We're both at the same exact same place as we were 10 years ago," Minato said. "It is hell for us here…. And you are the only one who can do something about it."
Aigis clenched her fist and started walking forward.
"I can…"
"If you leave us for dead this time, I swear on Hamuko's soul, I will haunt your fucking life till the end!" Minato yelled into her head and her processors heated up. "Get the fuck up and set this right. OR. ELSE!"
Aigis finally looked up to stare at Nemesis who was taken aback by her determined expression.
"You talked about your purpose and hell I am giving you one," Minato continued, softer this time. "Your purpose is to set this right, for us as we lost everything because you were too weak."
"…"
"Are you still weak?"
"No…" Aigis replied, blue mist swirling around her body.
"Then stomp that bitch down," Minato spat. "Do it right now!"
"I will," Aigis promised as the tornado of mist grew denser, starling Nemesis who took a step back in surprise and fear. "I will not fail this time…"
Nemesis took a step forward and was cut off by Aigis-
"Pallas Athena!"
The mist around her exploded and her ultimate persona spawned behind her, much larger and more human than before. Aigis breathed out softly, a small smile coming to her face. "Thank you, Minato-san."
Nemesis got ready for another battle but instead of attacking her head on, Aigis directed her persona for her exhausted friends, healing their wounds and restoring their stamina with a wave of golden energy.
Mitsuru got back to her feet and smiled at Aigis. "Was that Minato?"
Aigis nodded as the others got up as well, clutching their evokers.
"Well then," Mitsuru did the same thing, eyeing the exhausted goddess who looked afraid for the first time ever.
"All together!" Aigis shouted. "For Minato-san!"
"Persona!" the persona users shouted in unison and the goddess screeched back in frustration and fear.
…
Hamuko had to stop punching Sho when she heard Nemesis scream in pain from within the tower, a sign she too was overpowered by the mortals.
"Hehehe…" Sho grinned. They had won again.
"No…" Hamuko had to take a step back for the first time, now very concerned about the teenagers because they were not mere mortals. No mere mortal could kill a God like that.
…
Minato removed his hand from Fuuka's shoulder and got up, walking out of the hideout without another word.
"Minato-kun!" Fuuka called but he ignored her and kept walking, eventually disappearing from her view. He pulled his hood on and stuffed his head into his pockets, strolling his way forward, now healed enough to fight again and he was itching to abuse another goddess. He focused his stare on the tower and fastened his steps.
No shadow or cultist came in his view because the vibe around him was very different now. He constantly cracked his neck, back and forth, side to side as he continued his walk towards the tower, blocking out the screams and looked up at the moon, blowing his fringe up to get a better view.
"Gods," he snorted. "My ass…"
He was nothing less than a God either. The others might have forgotten it because he loved Hamuko way too much but now it was time to remind them, give them a demonstration of who he really was.
Eventually, Minato reached the tower and kicked the gates open, stepping inside and casually navigating his way through the maze, walking past the shadows and demons and quickly reaching the room where the goddess was.
SMASH!
The persona users looked back in surprise and their leader was standing in the doorway, cracking the fingers on his right hand, one by one, slowly, each crack echoing in the closed space like a small bomb going off.
"Minato-san," Aigis blinked, calling off her persona and looking back to observe her leader.
Minato rose his head up and flashed his signature smirk, a surge of silver flickering in his cold silver eyes as he walked forward, ignoring everything around him, even his friends calling out to him.
"Y-You," Nemesis caught the blunet and scowled, remembering who he was and what he had done. "We finally meet, Minato Arisato."
Minato said nothing, simply hopping to close the distance between himself and the so called goddess.
"I hope you know that hell waits for you," Nemesis growled. "For what you did, for who you defied."
Minato allowed the goddess to get up, fingers twitching in excitement and the maniacal smile still marring his blood stained face. He paced around as Nemesis rose up, beaten and exhausted but still ready for another battle, especially with the mortal before her because he had committed sin after sin.
Minato gave a low, haunting chuckle, setting the goddess off as she screeched one final and rushed forward to take Minato with her to hell-
"Prepare for suffering!"
Minato easily ducked underneath her charge and screeched in return, his horrible shout reverberating and booming throughout the room, startling everyone, even his friends and the goddess as he called out his strongest persona-
"Orpheus Telos!"
Nemesis widened her eyes as the reawakened persona spawned within seconds, twirling around with a harsh grip on his lyre that blocked her vision and went flying at her face-
BANG!
All it took was one brutal shot, followed by another deafening roar from the goddess before the pressure and damage took over and Nemesis exploded into dozens of smaller pieces, eliciting another laugh from the psychopathic blunet who looked up and giggled at the shower of godly flesh and blood.
"Eat a dick, bitch," Minato retorted a little too late and caught the glass cards in his hands. He took a deep breath and calmed down somewhat, casually turning around as if nothing had happened. He stuffed the shards into his pockets and walked over to Aigis, crouching down to her level.
"You did well, Aigis," Minato said, slowly wrapping his arms around her and pulling her for a hug. Aigis eagerly returned his embrace, clutching him tightly as he rested his chin on her blonde head. "I'm proud of you."
"Minato-san…" Aigis breathed out, finally at peace as he held her close, like he did before, as a friend.
The rest came around her and Minato pressed a kiss to her forehead before backing off and pulling out the shards from his pocket, putting them on the half mirror and as soon as he did, the cracks disappeared and the mirror looked as if it was new.
"Finally…" Minato smiled, looking around and nodding at his friends. "You did well. Thank you."
"No problem, man," Junpei grinned. "Now let's get your girlfriend back!"
"Yes," Minato helped Aigis helped and they left the tower. "Just a bit more, Hamuko. I'm almost there."
…
As soon as Sho got the signal, he pulled the other two close and teleported away from the area, barely missing Hamuko who was looking to rip their hearts out.
"No…" Hamuko started panting. They had beaten both Hypnos and Nemesis and of course, Minato, that disgusting mortal had beaten Thanatos before. She winced and looked down, anger surging to a new point because she had had it with the teenagers. "This is it…"
"KILL EVERY LAST HUMAN IN THIS CITY!" she shouted, loud enough for her minions to hear before she set off as desperate times called for desperate and fun measures. She summoned the blood stained knife yet again and grinned. She was not going to be the same, ever again….
…
"We did it," Minato said, presenting the golden mirror to his other team mates. "Just have to show her this and we are done."
"Y-Yeah," Yukari forced a smile. "We did it…"
Minato noted she seemed off but he shrugged and tightened his hold around the mirror. "Well then, about time I bring Hamuko back."
"Are you going alone?" Aigis asked.
"Yeah," Minato started walking. "I love you guys but…. I don't trust with anyone but myself… No offense."
"None taken," Mitsuru chuckled-
Nyx's command blared throughout the city and the teenagers panciked because she sounded pisssed and serious like never before.
"Oh shit," Sho growled.
"They are coming," Fuuka shrieked. "All of them, they are really looking to kill the innocent people."
"Looks like you will have to go alone," Junpei hissed. "Dammit, I'm still tired.."
"Just hold them off for a while," Minato ordered. "Protect the civilians no matter what. I'll do this quickly and bring her back, once the curse is over, the shadows and this hell will disappear too."
"Hold on for a little while," Minato repeated. "Just a bit more."
"Get your ass out there and bring her back," Sho spat, able to hear the shadows and the cultist approaching and they were indeed numbered in hundreds. "Go now!"
Minato nodded and ran off.
"She is in the graveyard!" Fuuka informed and Minato nodded even though he had a bad feeling about this….
"Here they come," Mitsuru said, catching the army. "Move, move backwards and gather the people. Keep them safe no matter what!"
"Shit," Sho panted. "Come on Minato… Finish this already…"
…
Minato ran like a bat out of hell and he quickly reached the graveyard, hissing in annoyance when he saw several zombies and shadows inside but for some reason, despite a few of them catching him, they did not attack.
"What is going on…?" Minato clenched his fist and started walking, stepping inside the cemetery and yet, the enemies still did not attack him. The bad feeling grew more prominent and Minato walked ahead, still wary-
"Welcome…"
Minato looked straight ahead and his eyes widened, almost rolling into the back of his head as he collapsed down after what he saw-
"H-Hamuko…"
Minato started shivering like crazy, cursing himself for not having enough balls to show himself because Nyx did exactly what she said she would do…. Scar Hamuko…
Hamuko was still standing there, blood running down her arms, shoulders and her uniform torn off at places to show him the wounds and scars…
"No…" Minato took another step forward, the grip around the mirror lessening but what he saw next eroded his sanity and world away. Nyx pointed down and Minato did as she said and as soon as he did, the mirror in his grip crashed to the ground, breaking into pieces.
"…"
Minato didn't care about the wounds on her, or the blood running down her body because….
"Kotone…"
"Makoto…"
Minato eyed the two gravestones with utmost horror, those were the name of his parents who had died long ago and now their gravestones were next to his feet, dug out from their resting places by…
"I told you…" Nyx said slowly. "You are going to suffer."
A single tear ran down his cheek as he looked ahead to see bones scattered next to her feet, the bones of his parents that Nyx had dug out from their graves.
She.
Dug.
Out.
Their.
Graves.
Minato blinked and his body lurched forward, looking as if he was going to collapse any second now.
Nyx had dug out the graves of his parents. HIS parents. HIS family!
"You…" Minato clenched his fist hard enough to draw out blood and for the first time, he glared at her, in utmost hatred and fury, not caring that she had possessed Hamuko because this was the LAST STRAW.
Nyx picked up the skull nearby and held it up, mocking him to come over. Her work was done, the mirror was broken but she had wanted to scar these two children and send them into the abyss for eternity.
"Come to mommy little boy," Hamuko grinned behind the mask and crushed the skull of Kotone to pieces before his very eyes and Minato finally lost it-
Minato crouched down, pulled on his bangs, vomited it disgust and then exploded with a horrendeous screech, letting out all the hatred and frustration he had to endure over the past few weeks and he let it out with a promise to KILL EVERYONE IN THE DAMN AREA!
"That's it!" Nyx yelled. "Come out son! Take over!"
SMASH!
World Arcana Rank-
Minato recalled nothing else as the hatred and misery flooded into his soul and his eyes rolled to the back of his head, one prominent voice blaring into the back of his head to go forward and slaughter the insolent bitch for what she had done. With rage, came power but with power came the maddening rush of bloodlust that blurred everything around because Nyx had finally broken him-
Minato bolted as fast as he could and punched Hamuko on the face, sending her skidding backwards to maintain her balance. It hurt, he was strong but she had won already.
"Hahahaha," Nyx chuckled. She could feel the little bit of Death inside his body taking over everything, his mind, his body and his soul and it was perfect. It didn't matter who won this, her spirit would live on but the same could not be said for Minato.
Win or lose, he was going to die a brutal later.
"You vile filth sucking bitch!" Minato roared at her, voice morphing into something unearthly and demonic. "I am going to eat your heart!"
"Very well," Hamuko cracked her neck and ordered her minions to attack him but this time, Minato did not give a crap about the innocents. He summoned his sword and just yelled again as this was the only means of communication left for him as everything else had broken down.
His parents were no more.
"Come then," Hamuko taunted.
"I will!" Minato screeched back. "I am going to eat your filthy bones for what you did!"
"Perfect," Nyx smiled behind the mask as the now broken mortal prepared for the finale. It was all over for him now and there was no escape for the abyss she had sent him to. He was standing there like a caged animal, ready to pounce and maul and that was all he knew now. "
Minato pulled out a good chunk of his hair and bolted, answered by Hamuko as she met his charge head on, now finally serious and ready to punish him for all that he had done.
…
"No…" Fuuka whispered. She couldn't even sense Minato anymore, all she could sense was…
"Ryoji…"
The mirror was broken and their last hope was gone.
There was no saving Hamuko.
Or Minato.
"It is over…"
Nyx finally got to him... Ouch. He loves Hamuko and all but this was by far the most greusome and heart breaking moment in the fic for a character and that is saying something. Maybe it was a bit too much but I'd like to stress, Nyx is a god, what humans consider taboo doesn't mean jack to her, reason why she did this and now, she broke Minato down... and the mirror that they had worked so hard to make.
Ouch.
I'm sorry about the short battle, more of a fast forward chapter because... Nemesis sucks... sorry, I tried but at least Hypnos had his cool gimmick, Nemesis had nothing and besides, the next chapter is going to have a brutal war, between Minato AND Hamuko trying to kill each other... damn... never thought I'd write that but again, at first this fic was going to be mostly romance but now, it's about Gods vs Humans and well, you saw what happened.
I thank everyone for the reviews. 10 is a great number so cheers. Tell me what you think of this. I'll try to update soon but might take a while because FM is so close to completion. Regardless, this is not dead and will see the end, no doubt this year, just help me out a bit.
Cheers! Have a good day/night.
