Squish.
"Ouch..."
"Squish!"
"Yikes..."
"Awww, that whine is really cute," the girl commented, oblivious to the pain of the boy who was trapped under her weight. He tried to squirm his way out but a sharp glare sunk him back into the couch, cheeks aching after the relentless onslaught from-
"Hamuko..." Minato mumbled, half hoping she would listen but his almost yandere girlfriend was already way too engrossed with his face, or more specifically, his squishy cheeks. As soon as he came back from school, he was lifted off his feet and hurled onto the large sofa. A second later, Hamuko jumped on his lap and kissed the life out of him for the next several minutes and only pulled back when he was close to passing out.
"I almost want to bite your cheek," Hamuko said out-loud, draining the red from of his face. She saw the look and snickered, pinching and pulling his cheeks much like before. "Just kidding."
"..."
"Might just bite em off..."
"Oh God," Minato breathed out. Not satisfied with the kiss, Hamuko started mocking him for being a frail emo and promised to put him through rigorous exercises to build his stamina. Soon after that, she started squishing, pulling and pinching his cheeks while still sitting on his lap. No matter who passed through, she never stopped cuddling him in her own special way.
A sharp tug made him wince and Hamuko cooed, caressing the prominent red spot on the side of his face. She cupped his face with both of her hands and squished, almost ready for another round of her second favorite activity until a timid voice spoke up from the steps.
"Uh hey..."
Hamuko's mood soured and she snapped her head back, missing the grateful sigh from Minato who thanked the Gods and...
"Junpei..."
The capped teen had passed through the lounge several times but only recently found the courage to barge in. He eyed the red face of his best friend and mused about whether to be jealous of him or pity him.
"What do you want?" Hamuko spat. "Quick with it!"
Junpei stood there for the next several minutes, scared and unwilling to go on. Hamuko snarled at him and turned towards Minato, going back to mauling either side of his face with her rather callous hands, grown rough due to excessive use of swords and knives.
"Hamuko, they'll sag," Minato complained after another strong tug. "Ouch."
"So?" Hamuko shrugged. "Works for me. At least then those bitches will stop ogling you and I'll have you all for myself!"
Hamuko stopped the mauling and stroked his face softly, staring deep into his silver eyes with her lips pursed together. Honestly she didn't know what the hell had gotten into her the moment she saw him but from that point forward, she had grown incredibly attached to the blue haired teenager. She used to bash her head on walls trying to come up with the answer but now it didn't not matter anymore. She loved him and that was all.
"So, uh..." Junpei started-
"SHUT THE FUCK UP!" Hamuko thundered in response, shutting him up and focusing back onto Minato. She glanced at his red face and smiled softly, forcing a sigh from the boy because her grin was gorgeous as usual. "I'll make it all better, don't worry."
"Do you really want your boyfriend all saggy and ugly?" Minato wondered.
"I mean, you being cute is a plus point for me," Hamuko replied, paused and then briefly went back to wondering about the strange, almost supernatural attraction the two had in regards to each other. While she did not know about him, Minato was almost like a drug to her at this point and she couldn't get enough of him in her day. "But..."
"Uh..."
Hamuko kicked the table backwards and Junpei ducked, barely surviving the blow and then scurrying upwards in fear. He tried his best to save Minato but God have mercy on his soul now.
"But... you're really special," Hamuko spoke after the silence. "I don't know what it is about you but you... are like a drug to me."
"Is that right?" Minato smiled.
"I feel you're the only one in the world for me, only one alive for me," the redhead continued. "You make me happy, you... keep me stable, enough said."
"I'm glad to hear that..."
"So yeah, you being cute is nice and all but even if you were ugly, I would still be all over you," she giggled softly. "You're very special to me, emo boy."
Minato responded by pinching her cheek and Hamuko arched her brows. Finally, he had recovered his breath after the warm up kiss. Growling, she grabbed a rough hold around his face and yanked him closer, a cocky and playful smile forming on her face.
"And this..." she said, referring to their supernatural bond, everything that kept her happy and stable. Everything she clung onto after ten years worth of suffering. "Will never change. I will NEVER let you go."
"I don't want you to either..."
The doors creaked open but Hamuko was least concerned. She climbed up his lap, sat on his stomach and pulled him close for another kiss.
...
Hamuko's relationship with Minato only grew deeper with every day, to the point they were comfortable sleeping in the same bed and Hamuko teasing him till the blunet either passed out or clasped his hands around his nose and ran into the restroom. The same could not be said for her relationship with the other folks at the dorm. Ever since Aigis joined the team, Hamuko was in a foul mood as the robo-bitch wasted no opportunity to get between her and Minato.
She hated Yukari, thought she was gunning for Minato.
Considered Mitsuru too haughty with her head too far up her ass.
Disliked Junpei who was the epitome of dumb and ugly.
Akihiko was a dumb, albino steroid head and that was that.
One night, after a particularity heated argument between Hamuko and the rest, which ended in her kicking Aigis into the wall and then storming off while cursing and wishing a painful death upon all of them, Mitsuru had enough. She couldn't fathom the amount of hatred the redheaded junior held. She was foul-mouthed, vengeful and twisted, a far-cry from a human being. She growled when Minato went to calm her down and that was another question that she had, no matter what she said or did, Minato was always backing her up.
"I had my suspicions," Ikutsuki said, loud enough to reach Mitsuru. The redhead turned towards the chairman with a frown and the elder continued, just barely able to hide a grin. "Hamuko-san might be a demon..."
The rest snapped to attention and shivered upon his words. It sounded far-fetched, a demon living with them but after enduring her day in and day not, it was starting to become clear.
"A demon?" Yukari spat. "Must be a succubus or something."
...
Hamuko made the mistake of licking the blood on her fingers and then spat it out in disgust, kicking Ikutsuki's face into the rock with a hiss. She had tossed the moron through the window and mauled him just outside the dorm while the rest of the team were away on a mission. She had overheard him talking about backstabbing Mitsuru, killing her father and last but not the least, killing Minato... along with the other losers.
Killing Minato.
How dare he?
Hamuko grinned when she sliced his right hand off and smashed his ugly face into the nearby three, one, two, three until his forehead was cracked open. "Fuck, that's satisfying!" she spat and launched him backwards into another large tree, back first. The chairman gave a horrified gasp and tried to slither away until she stopped him with a boot to his face.
"Rot in hell, you piece of shit!" she spat, dropped the blade straight for his heart and walked off with a yawn. She was sleepy and sick but the moron just had to incur her wrath.
"Kill Minato," she scowled at the mere thought. Nobody was going to take the emo away from her. "Not even Death will make us part."
Hamuko walked back to her bed, dropped her head onto the pillow, briefly thought about his smile and drifted off to sleep, fully satisfied after the mauling which was a long time coming. While the redhead slept, the team returned back to the dorm to find Ikutsuki near the doors of death, covered in blood and with one hand missing.
"What on earth happened to you!?" Akihiko demanded to know.
"I-I said it before," Ikutsuki whispered, wanting to keep his voice low. "H-Hamuko... she is a demon as I suspected."
Minato frowned at the chairman, teeth gritted because there was no way Hamuko would have attacked him without him deserving it. She was cruel but only to people who deserved it.
"She did this?" Mitsuru growled, almost ready to head up stairs and drag her out of the bed for what she had done. "I will see-"
"No," Ikutsuki suggested. "She is too strong to handle like this. Call security and tie her up, we'll beat the answers out of her and then finish her."
"Hey!" Minato yelled at the chairman, angry like the others had never seen him before. Ikutsuki had clearly touched a nerve by suggesting they disposed of Hamuko. "Watch your damn mouth!"
"Arisato!" Mitsuru snapped, getting between the blunet and the injured chairman. "See for yourself what she has done."
"There has to be a reason!" Minato fired back. "Hell, I don't care if she has a reason or not, you will not be torturing and killing her, not on my watch."
Mitsuru crossed her arms. "We have no other choice."
"You're out of line, Mitsuru!" Minato yelled at the senior for the first time since they had met, surprising the others because this was the first time the cool and calm vice leader had ever raised his voice, against Mitsuru of all people. "Don't you dare."
Upon Mitsuru's command, the other two male members of SEES grabbed onto the vice leader who struggled, actually cursing the team for going through with his. Already exhausted from the leading the operation, Minato was knocked out with a blow to the back of his head and left in the dorm while the others proceeded to finally get the answers from the demon living under the roof of their dorm.
...
Hamuko was woken up harshly by a kick to her gut followed by ice cold water splashing onto he face. She woke up with a gasp and let out an unearthly screech, very, VERY pissed off at whoever had the gall to splash water onto her but before she could grab her knife and slaughter whoever dared, she found herself tied up in thick chains, too powerful for even her to break through.
Mitsuru emerged from the shadows, alongside the other members of the group, sans Yukari, Fuuka and Minato. Hamuko looked around that noticed that she was surrounded by dozens and dozens of security guards, with loaded weapons and the order to kill from Mitsuru.
"Who are you?" Mitsuru asked the simplest question.
"Go to hell," Hamuko spat back, face contorting to the most venomous scowl possible, a glare so vicious that everyone nearby shiver just from a mere glance. Mitsuru composed herself after a few seconds and gave the first order to fire.
BANG.
"Ugh..."
"Talk!"
"Go fuck yourself!"
"I said, talk!"
Another scowl earned her a bullet in her shoulder.
"Why did you do that to Ikutsuki?!"
"..."
"I said-"
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Hamuko interjected with a shrill laugh of her own, rattling the eardrums of the people nearby and shattering the windows of the cell that was her jail. The nearby people clutched their heads, demanding her to stop laughing but she carried on, blood leaking out of the wounds on her arm and leg-
BANG!
Hamuko stopped laughing and screeched out loud, more high pitched and vicious than before and it came very close to rendering them deaf until Mitsuru stepped out and kicked her square in the throat, sending droplets of blood spraying in the air-
Akihiko and Junpei were bewildered, not able to believe that a seventeen year old girl was able to scream like that, akin to the shout of a true devil and it only made Ikutsuki's theory more plausible in their eyes and now they knew that extermination was very much needed in this case.
Hamuko did end up telling the truth, about how Ikutsuki was manipulating them like the clueless puppets that they were but Mitsuru, having seen enough and fearful, did not listen and further wounded her with bullets and blades, to the point where she was dangling between life and death, just about ready to give it up and die-
"Hamuko!"
Her red eyes were shocked open and she looked around wildly, catching Minato who ran towards the cell and blanched when he saw her in a puddle of her own blood and sweat, dangerously close to death and it was all thanks to-
"You bitch!" Minato snapped at the heiress, widening her eyes at the venom and bitterness in his tone. She ordered the guards to grab him the moment he stepped in and tried to free her. "Gack!" still exhausted, he thrashed around, managing to free himself a bunch of times but security swarmed on him, locking him in place.
"Don't touch him!" Hamuko glared at the guards and then at Mitsuru. She knew very well that Minato was exhausted after the operation, panting and sweating as he tried to power his way out. "Goddamn bitch, I told you already! He's manipulating you!"
"I heard it with my own ears!" Minato shouted right after, glaring at Ikutsuki from the corner of his eyes. The chairman frowned, a little wary of what he was saying. "The computer in the command room saved the recording, go check it and leave Hamuko the hell alone!"
Upon hearing that, Ikutsuki made a run from the exit and got tackled into the wall by Minato who grabbed onto him and tossed the traitor towards the guards who open fired the moment they saw Ikutsuki pulling out a gun from his pocket. The chairman slumped to the ground and Minato ran over over to Hamuko, hurrying undoing the chains and clenching his fists because her arms and legs were just a mess of gnarly wounds.
Hamuko gave a single pat on his back, pushed herself off the the ground, casting a single glance over to Mitsuru, Akihiko and Junpei before she limped her way out of the station, despite the repeated yelling from Minato to stop.
They were going to pay.
Come hell or high water.
Hamuko disappeared into the darkness of the night and Minato knocked both of the two males to the ground with punches before running out to the police station, swearing that he would not return to the dorm unless she came back with him. Meanwhile, Mitsuru was left to pull out her own hair, regretting and ashamed of what she had done.
...
Hamuko hid from Minato who rushed past the building she was hiding in. She stepped out and winced, noticing that he was limping instead of walking, no doubt still tired without a minute of rest. She thought of going after but decided against it cause not even Minato was going to talk her out of her revenge. Mitsuru had stepped over the goddamn line and she was going to pay for it, along with the rest of her stupid fucking group. SEES was going straight to hell and there was not a damn thing anyone could do about it.
"Greetings,"
Hamuko whipped around and growled as Takaya emerged from the shadows, along with the rest of his cronies. He extended a hand and Hamuko just stared at him, for what seemed like an eternity but Takaya never pulled his hand away and retained the smile on his face.
"Hamuko!"
Hamuko pushed his voice to the back of her head and shook his hand, only for the time being. Takaya was pleased although the rest of his friends were not as amused as Hamuko had beaten the shit outta them one too many times. The two groups had come into conflict a bunch of times before and Takaya always displayed a keen interest in the redheaded leader of SEES as she reeked off nihilism and hatred much like him, only to a much greater degree.
"As soon as I kill them, I leave, got it?"
"As you wish," Takaya smirked. "Welcome to Strega for the time being."
...
Minato coughed and used the wall as support to walk forward. He was out of the dorm for a number of days now, stomach empty, mind reeling and his heart broken. He was right there, standing in the middle when the morons made up the plan for torturing her and there was not a damn thing he could do. He was knocked out by Junpei of all people and could only barely fight off the security, despite being a freaking persona user and the vice leader.
"Dammit," the blunet cursed, almost collapsing down because he had not slept for days at this point. He focused the pressure onto his sore vocal cords and yelled out her name in vain, shoulders slumping seconds later because there was no response.
"Minato..."
The blunet scowled, looking over his shoulder to see Mitsuru standing a few yards from him, her hands clasped together in apology.
"Come back..."
"..."
"You haven't ate or slept in days," the heiress pleaded. "Come back and we'll locate her together."
"I'm not breathing the same air as you until she forgives you," Minato spat, walking a few steps forward and disappearing into the shadows, not paying attention to Mitsuru begging him to come back and get a freaking rest because the exhaustion was going to be the death of him. "Get out of my sight."
Mitsuru punched the wall next to her and cursed herself as this was all her fault.
...
Hamuko struggled with the building bloodlust as she laid on her crappy bed, trying to sleep off her rage. She clutched her head and bashed it against the wall, digging her nails into he scalp in an attempt to get the voices to stop fucking talking.
"S-Stop," she almost pleaded, twisting and turning on her bed. Every little voice around her was booming into her drums, almost busting a few blood vessels inside her ear because it was not stopping!
Flashes of the beatdown slammed into her psyche and Hamuko fell off the bed, blood leaking out of her eyes, palms and head, courtesy of the little mutilation she administered to stop the goddamn haunting and get a fucking iota of sleep.
A nail slipped from the ceiling and crashed against the ground, the little voice reverberating in succession and going off like a thunderous explosion in her head and upon hearing that, Hamuko finally snapped-
The redhead clutched her throat and damaged her own vocal cords when she screeched out to the heavens in festering hatred and spine-tingling bloodlust, immediately vomiting blood and collapsing face-first onto her bed with her eyes drooping, exhaustion coming over her rapidly. She passed out, barely missing the voice of-
"Hamuko?"
Minato got up from the ground and looked around, some hope swelling inside him because the voice definitely belonged to Hamuko. He looked up at the lone apartment in the area and nodded to himself, knowing that the estranged redhead was staying there for the time being.
He had finally located her and now he just had to calm her down and bring her back to the dorm-
"She'll kill all of them, let me assure you,"
Minato gritted his teeth-
"I don't doubt it now..."
"Strega..." the vice leader muttered.
"We'll kill her after that, remember that,"
Takaya's voice rang bells in his head and despite being close to passing out, Minato powered his way forward, clutching the trash cans as he supported himself to stand.
"Must get her back..." he muttered, climbing up the steps and following the voices of the his arch enemies. The memory of Hamuko lying paralyzed in a puddle of blood made him wince and he continued dragging himself towards the room on the end of the floor, determined to bring her matter no many the cost.
The members of Strega were taken by surprise when the door to their apartment was kicked open by someone they were half-expecting to see, the vice leader of SEES, Minato Arisato. Takaya stood up from the couch and grinned at the state of his, knees shaking and his face sucked in due to the sleep deprivation and lack of food.
"Welcome," Takaya greeted with a sneer and Minato locked his eyes onto the leader of Strega, barely able to make out his smirk because his vision was blurry and he was seeing double. "What brings you here?"
"Where is Hamuko?" Minato paid no attention to the fact that the other persona users had already grabbed their weapons and evokers while he was weaponless, exhausted and outnumbered. He glanced around their blurry faces and grunted, barely making his way forward. "Hamuko?"
A rushing punch from Jin planted him on the ground and Minato exhaled, dragging himself forward with his senses barely functioning. Takaya ordered the rest to follow and they did, weapons at the ready because his arrival was a blessing. Eliminating Minato meant thrusting Hamuko into the shadows forever and Takaya was eager to push her there as soon as possible.
"Attack..."
Minato lost his vision and remembered no more.
...
Hamuko jolted up straight when she heard the familiar scream, followed by three successive gunshots. She fell off the bed but immediately stood up, ears ringing and mind reeling because the scream was so familiar to the one Minato gave when the Reaper almost shot his life away.
"M-Minato?" she stumbled and started shaking, past memories coming back to her, much more viciously than before. She had buried the horrific memory to the back of her mind, not wanting to remember it because every time she thought about her, her psyche would shatter.
"Those gunshots..."
Hamuko stood up to her feet and stumbled her way forward, memory of an almost lifeless Minato shuddering against her and clutching her for life flashing before her eyes, making her claw at them. She twisted the dooknob, opened her eyes and looked straight ahead when the door was smashed open, revealing the graphic scene that would be forever burned into he already scarred psyche.
Minato was face-first on the ground, blood leaking out of the wounds and staining the wooden floor and around his disfigured frame were the members of Strega, laughing like hyenas at sight of the blue haired persona user barely hanging onto life right next to their feet. Standing above him was Takaya, his grip around his revolver and the barrel smoking from the fresh bullets that he had unloaded into the back of Minato.
Hamuko fell back against the door, hallucinating about the fight against the Reaper that ended in the exact same way as this one, with Minato barely breathing and lead burning through his body. She wanted to yell at him to get up but the words were lost in her throat, leaving behind despair that she could taste in her mouth.
Did Minato really track her all the way down to here?
"T-That idiot..." she mumbled, red eyes white and lifeless because blood was gushing out of his malnourished body at alarming rate. There was not a twitch or murmur coming out of him but the nearby snickers managed to break her out of the trance she was stuck in.
"Takaya..."
Hamuko's vision flashed red and she let out a horrendous scream at the sons of bitches who had done that to Minato, especially directed towards Takaya who dropped the revolver and took a step back, now aware that he had made a mistake because the sleeping beast inside of the demented female had awakened, driven over the edge after witnessing the condition of her first and only love.
Takaya had overestimated her hatred and had underestimated the love she had for the boy lying next to his feet.
Hamuko wasted no time and summoned, nearly blowing the roof off the apartment when the bestial roar of the God of Death blared in the dead of the night. The members of Strega took a step back in fear upon noticing the pitch blank eyes of her and the storm of insanity swirling in the never ending abyss, rooting them to the spot and making them easy targets for the pissed off redhead who quickly closed the distance and set off the first explosion that rearranged their organs and that was only a taste of things to come.
After brutally beating Strega to a pulp, Hamuko hurried over to Minato, allowing Takaya and his bitches to escape while swearing vengeance. She paid no attention to them and flipped Minato over carefully, screaming out loud and dropping backwards when she saw his deformed and gaunt face, drained from the sleep deprivation and hunger.
"What did they do to you!?" she clawed her own eyes again, not able to bear the condition of his. He was beaten more brutally than injuries he had suffered against the Reaper. Hamuko clutched her chest and stood up, wrapping her arms around his waist and picking him up before hurrying out of the blasted place, burying the place and the memories to the darkest recesses of her mind, for the sake of her sanity.
Hamuko ran out of the apartment and stopped when she saw Mitsuru and the rest of the morons who had done her wrong. There was so much to say and do but she swallowed the hatred and pride, quickly following her order and resting Minato inside the limo. She sat down beside him and joined Yukari, Akihiko and Mitsuru in healing the wounds as the vehicle blazed towards the city hospital.
"I apologize..." Mitsuru said slowly, expecting Hamuko to lash out but she didn't. Her hand squeezed the broken hand of Minato in a tight grip and Hamuko gave an exhausted sigh, hanging her head low.
All of this had happened because she was stupid enough to think that Minato would leave her be.
He had been searching for her all over the city for freaking days but she was too consumed by hatred and vengeance to answer his calls.
She was obsessed with him but then again, so was he. He was not as vocal and clingy about it but she knew.
Now she had the choice to maim SEES for what they had done, for her vengeance or-
Forgive them and move on, for Minato.
"It's okay," Hamuko replied after a little while, accepting Mitsuru's hand and her place in SEES. She had swallowed her pride two times for a stupid boy who was dumb enough to walk straight into the lair of Strega with no backup or plan. He was stupid enough to head over there without a weapon and evoker, awake and without food for days.
"It's okay..." Hamuko repeated, pushing Minato a little to the side and lying down next to him with his hand still in her grip. She closed her eyes and passed out as well, the past few days were taxing but the horrific incident was the most exhausting and now she had a new scar on her psyche and a new promise to maim Takaya for what he had done.
...
Hamuko stayed in the hospital for the next few days, watching over Minato and pumping healing spell after healing spell into his broken body. Eventually, after several days worth of spells, Minato woke up and Hamuko almost injured him again when she tackled him onto the bed and hugged him tightly, sobbing and calling him a moron for what he had done.
Hamuko popped a ball of takoyaki into his mouth and shoved a spoon full of food into his mouth, yelling at him to chew and swallow. Minato was barely able to do so because of the blood rushing through his face. Hamuko was actually feeding him by her own hands while she sat on his bed, altering between a pissed off look and a gaze of adoration.
"Cute," Hamuko cooed and then snapped, wanting to knock the food out of his mouth by a hard slap upside his head. "Chew, you emo scarecrow!"
Minato choked on the ball of takoyaki and Hamuko sighed, shoving a water bottle down his throat to push the food down his throat. She was freaking out when it happened the first time but stopped caring when she lost count of the occurrence.
"What's the matter?" Hamuko sneered playfully, tasting some of the soup for herself and patting herself on the back for a job well done. She could cook, unlike the walking kitchen disaster known as Fuuka. "Can't handle your girlfriend feeding you?"
"Nope," Minato coughed, reaching for the can of madbull and taking a small sip. He leaned back and winced a little when his bruised back made contact with the frame of his bed. Hamuko caught the twitch of pain on his features and cursed Takaya, bending the fork in her grip. "Not used to people babying me like this."
"Not after your parents died, huh?" Hamuko fell silent, her gaze softening at the mention of his dead parents. It was a sick co-incidence that the two were orphaned on the exact same night, going off by what Minato had told her and what she remembered about the car-crash. She caught sad look and shook her head, lifting his head up. "Don't give me that look! I get the urge to choke a bitch when I see you sad."
Minato laughed, patting her cheek. "Sorry, I'll keep that in mind."
"I'll baby you whenever you want!" Hamuko declared. "Hell, you're already a baby, we just need to get you a rattle and a diaper!"
Hamuko liked mocking him, playfully of course, hoping he'd get angry enough to steal her breath away with an angry and rough kiss but he usually laughed along, mocking her back and sharing a laugh of trust. This time, Minato lost the smile on his face and pushed the spoon away from his mouth, hanging his head and looking away from her.
"H-Hey," Hamuko winced, knowing she had gone too far. "I'm sorry Minato, I was only kidding."
"It's not you, Hamuko," Minato sighed, remembering how utterly helpless he was a few weeks ago. "Don't kick my ass but.. I am the male in the relationship, yes?"
"Drop your pants and prove it!" Hamuko replied.
"I'm serious," Minato gave an annoyed sigh, fed up of ending up in the hospital bed and Hamuko worrying herself to an early grave each time. "I get my ass handed to me and you're the one saving me all the freaking time."
"I should hit you..." Hamuko frowned.
"I know I shouldn't think this way but I really hate myself for doing nothing," Minato cursed. "Especially considering what you did at the bridge-" he stopped himself midway and fell silent.
"At the bridge?" Hamuko cocked her head, curious of what he meant. "What do you mean?"
"Nothing important," Minato scratched the back of his head and pulled her close. He patted and soothed her ponytail, making her purr and yawn at the soft touch of his. "Just remember one thing... No matter what, I have and always will think nothing but the best for you."
"I have no doubt," Hamuko smiled back, leaning into his touch some more. She watched on as Minato pulled a single chocolate from his pocket and popped the sweet into his mouth, closing the distance between himself and the hyper-ventilating female who was licking and puckering her lips for the kiss.
"Now my turn to feed you," Minato whispered and gave her a sweet kiss, full of passion and flavor.
...
Days flew by. Shinjiro and Ken joined SEES and Hamuko grew more close to Minato and more obsessed towards the death of Takaya. She scouted the city for the piece of shit every damn day, hoping to run into him but she never came across him, much to her dismay. No matter, sooner or later, the two groups were going to run into each other and she was going to give Takaya a brutal death, beyond his wildest dreams, for what he had done to Minato.
Speaking off Minato, Hamuko was almost ready to take the next step in their relationship and found herself increasingly giddy and docile next to him. She had been enjoying the recurring dream of them shedding their clothes and some day soon, she was going to make that dream a reality-
"Favorite positions!?"
Hamuko gasped and snatched her laptop from his grip, scowling and yelling at the blunet that he never read. "You forgot you saw that." she warned with a tone of death and pain but it never really worked on Minato since it came across as really pitiful. She made a mental note to use incognito mode the next time.
"Huh," Minato got up, walked into the kitchen to splash his face with water and quietly walked up the steps.
Hamuko waited for a few seconds and smirked, skipping up the steps. "Oh, Miiiiiiinato!"
...
Change came during the next full moon. Shinjiro was shot and killed by Takaya and Minato soon collapsed to the ground with a painful scream, as if something was forcefully ripped away from his soul. Hamuko hurried over to him and flipped him, ready to heal whatever wound he had sustained but-
She glanced at his face.
Empty.
Hamuko stepped away from the unconscious blunet and pondered over the new feelings that she was developing for the boy she once loved.
Hate and bitterness.
Hamuko looked back with a scowl, now finding him ordinary and a bother. She had a new addiction, to make his life a living hell. She had wasted way too much time on the moron and now it was time to repay the debt.
The link between them was gone.
Minato found that out the harsh way when Hamuko yelled at him to stay away and slammed the door shut in his face. He stood at the same spot, already suffering the death of Shinjiro and now this. Hamuko's gaze towards him was full of hatred and she looked a second away from mauling him.
"Huh," Minato rested his back against the wooden door and slowly slid down, burying his face into his palms. "So her addiction was with the piece of death..."
"And not me..." he said lifelessly, staring up at the ceiling and the bright lights, hoping he'd wake up from the nightmare but he didn't. After a few hours of sitting at the same spot, he stood up and stumbled into his room, now feeling very alone and like a target. He hoped and prayed that Hamuko would come to her senses soon enough. He had family, friends and admirers but along the way, he too fell for her and without her, everything felt...
"Empty..."
He briefly saw Pharos in the corner of his room, looking at him sadly as if he was feeling the heart-ache as well.
Minato discarded his jacket, kicked his shoes off and went to bed, hoping she would barge in the next morning and drag him out of bed as she was known to do.
"That weakling!" Hamuko spat, glancing at her palm. What did she even see in him before? She had no idea. Minato was definitely using some kind of voodo shit otherwise she would have never been so attached to a weakling like him. Now that she had gotten her faculties in order, it was time to undo the damage.
Minato had hoped that the situation would get better and Hamuko would come to her senses but the opposite happened and their relationship deteriorated with every passing day. Hamuko would yell at him, shove him away whenever he tried to talk and even warned him that if he said too much, she'd maul him in his sleep. No matter what he said or no matter how hard he tried to talk some sense into her, Hamuko acted like he was her sworn enemy.
After getting in her face too much, Hamuko power charged her right hand and slapped him hard enough to open up a massive gash on his cheek, just a little warning. She did not bother sparing another glance at him and went down the steps, cursing at everyone before she headed out, way past curfew.
Mitsuru looked back and saw Minato stumbling down the steps, the right side of his face completely caked in blood with a nasty gash in the middle. She gasped and grabbed a first aid kit, quickly patching the wound while the blunet just gazed ahead, staring at the door and not even responding the little tingles of pain reverberating from the fresh gash.
"That was too much," Mitsuru said, referring to the new wound. It was hard to believe that it was from a mere slap, seemed like Hamuko had actual intention to break his jaw or at least give him a nasty scar. "What has gotten into her?"
"..."
"She was getting better slowly," Mitsuru pinched the bridge of her nose, letting out another sigh. When she finally thought Minato had her under control, the unpredictable female flew off the handle and was so much crazier and violent than before. "I can hear her screaming throughout the night."
Minato simply walked up the steps, feeling a tug on his hand from the shadows. Pharos was trying to cheer him up again. He was seeing the kid a lot more in the past few days, especially after Hamuko starting mistreating him.
"Thanks," the blunet whispered, sitting on his bed and scratching the back of his head. Another day gone and another failure to get her back. He felt a pat on his shoulder next and he finally gave a faint smile, appreciating the gesture from Pharos. "Here's hoping, little guy."
"It will be fine," Pharos spoke from the shadows, voice reaching his ears and carrying genuine comfort. "It must..."
...
After weeks of the same thing, Minato made up his mind one morning to get the final answer from and just get the whole charade over with. He was living like a goddamn zombie on repeat as each and every day he would try to talk sense into her, only to get curses, slaps and shoves in response. He couldn't even fathom hitting her in return but enough was enough now.
When he was sure everyone else was asleep, he said his prayers and walked up to the third floor and towards the last room. He didn't bother knocking and simply pushed the door open, knowing that Hamuko was awake because of all the growling coming from the inside.
SMASH-
Minato sidestepped the bottle that would have surely exploded against his face. The first thing he got when he stepped in was a glass bottle to his face. The resident snarled at the missed attempt and hissed out the order slowly.
"FUCK. OFF!" Hamuko snapped, having run out of patience with Minato long ago.
"What has gotten into you?" Minato asked the same question. "Did I do something wrong? At least tell me what the fuck happened!"
"I owe you nothing!" Hamuko stood up, balling her fist up slowly so he could see what was waiting for him if he stayed in her room any longer. "I don't know what sort of magic you pulled on me but all of that is over."
"Magic, huh?" Minato hissed.
"What ever the fuck you call it," Hamuko fired back, even louder than him. "Take your questions and fuck off before I do something that only you will regret!"
"Do you want me gone?" Minato asked.
"I want you gone!" Hamuko spat.
"Forever?"
"For fucking eternity!"
"Hahaha..." Minato chuckled relaxed his stance, still standing at the same spot, just a few inches ahead of the doorway. His smile was bitter and lopsided and his laughs were empty as his heart was smashing into his rib-cage, knowing this was the last attempt or else it was over. "Alright then, Hamuko."
Hamuko studied him, getting pissed off by the fact that he was laughing. One of the things that irked her the most was the fact that no matter how much she shoved and slapped him, no matter how many wounds she gave as a warning, the blue haired persona was never afraid, unlike the others who had the misfortune of pissing her off.
"Push me out one more time..." Minato said slowly and Hamuko already started walking towards him. "And you will never see me again."
"..."
"If you really hate me that much," Minato dared, teeth gritted but his empty smile still visible. "Strike me where I stand AND FUCKING HURT ME!"
"You asked for this..." Hamuko warned.
"I don't mean your little kiddish slaps," Minato spat, holding out his arms to edge her on further.
"You son of a bitch!" Hamuko growled, pissed off by his little insult. He was asking for a beating at this point.
"Break a goddamn bone," Minato continued talking, not walking back in fear as she quickly walked up to him, red eyes surge with unmistakable intention to hurt him badly. "Kick my ass. Just do something and I'll fuck off-"
Hamuko bolted the last few steps and pulled a knife from behind her back, growling when he stood still and refused to back off, even when a glint flashed in his eyes and he saw his reflection on the blade inches away from his body-
Slice-
Minato chuckled when the knife was drilled into his shoulder without mercy, pushed all the way in by Hamuko who did not stop and knocked him out of the room with a heavy hand to the side of his head. The blunet crashed outside his room and did not bother pulling the knife out of his shoulder, nor did he pay attention to the black eye that was caused due to the punch. He gave another bitter laugh as Hamuko scowled at his pathetic, bloodied up form from the doorway.
"There you have it," she spat and glanced at him one last time, from head to toe and nearly threw up in her mouth because he looked pathetic.
But then again, so did she was she was madly in love with him and stalking him every time he went out with another female-
The memories made her growl and Hamuko briefly contemplated mauling him to let off some steam but she decided against it, not willing to waste any more time on the weakling who was too emotional, too frail and too afraid of death. Even the mere mention of the world made him pale and to her, it was the ultimate sign of weakness.
"Fuck off, we are done," with that, she slammed the door shut but heard him laughing again. A part of her, a little bit of sanity that was still in there was somewhat horrified to hear him laughing like that, so empty and yet so full of negative emotions, crudely mixed together into a spine-tingling laugh. "Fuck off..." she repeated and made her way towards her bed, knowing that the relationship was finally over.
"To think I was about to fuck him," she cursed her old self for being stupid and so in love with a weakling like Minato. "Thank God I got my senses in order."
She felt as if a weight was lifted off her chest but at the same time, there was something very bad on the horizon. She had a feeling that something was about to go horribly wrong and her suspicions came true when she heard a loud bang which made her sit up straight on her bed. Seconds later, she heard someone screaming in horror outside and she quickly bolted, out of her room, down the steps and stood on the outside-
"What the..." Hamuko, despite the hatred she held for Minato now was momentarily rendered stock-still when the scene processed inside of her mind. She stood a few yards away from the gruesome sight, the familiar sight of Minato lying face first in a pool of his blood but this time, nobody had shot him.
"You..." Hamuko looked at the roof and then back down at the male who had his forehead split in half, continually gushing out blood at an alarming rate. That laugh of his made so much sense now, it was the laugh of a human on his death bed, knowing the end was near. "How did you...?"
The other dorm mates rushed out and gathered around him, desperately trying to stop the bleeding but Hamuko was still standing at the same spot, trying to think the event over.
Minato committed suicide.
Minato threw himself into the arms of Death.
Death.
Something that he was so afraid of.
Because...
"Because of me...?" Hamuko whispered to herself, the little sanity that was left in her screaming at her for fucking up things yet again. They were faint but memories were coming back.
Minato in a puddle of blood.
First by the Reaper.
Then by Takaya.
Now... because of her...
Was this really magic? Was this really just a ploy to get in her pants like she had accused him before?
It was pathetic.
But...
She remembered all the 'pathetic' stunts she had pulled, all for the sake of-
"Love..."
...
By some miracle, Minato managed to survive the fall from the rooftop of the dorm, most likely due to the healing spells of Yukari who had exhausted herself to heal him as much as she could. Hamuko was tad bit conflicted, somewhat relieved that he was alive and somewhat pissed off that he managed to do so.
Once again, Minato landed in the hospital while the others fussed over him and meanwhile, Hamuko was still standing quietly in the corner, unresponsive to any and everything around her. All was going well, she was happy just hating him and making him miserable but for some insane reason, that little stunt of his had rattled her, which made no sense because she wished death on him every since the last full moon.
Mitsuru, much to the surprise of everyone else present actually allowed Hamuko to stay in the hospital. She was standing still and not talking at all but heiress did manage to catch a glint of regret in her normally cold eyes. When it was night and the rest of his friends were either sleeping or gone back to the dorm, Minato was hooked up to several machines in the hospital bed and standing in the same room was a very pissed off Hamuko.
Hamuko was pacing around the room, sneaking glares at the unresponsive blunet on the bed. Each beep from the machine made her yell and curse, made her hands twitch, eager to do something and release herself from the misery she had gotten into, all because of the blue haired boy. AGAIN.
"You just had to do it, huh?" Hamuko spat when she came to a stop next to the bed, towering over the injured male with a menacing look in her ruby eyes. "You just had to push me into the corner like you've done before."
"..."
There was no response, only the beeping of the medical machines echoed in the empty room. The Dark Hour was underway so the rest of the hospital staff was transmogrified into coffins. Minato was all alone with Hamuko and the female intended to take advantage of it.
"Let me just..." she reached for his neck with hands, gripping it and slowly squeezing. The sound of the machine increased in frequency and Hamuko continued, trying to squeeze the little life that was left in him. This was one way to put an end to the fucking stupidity that was-
Hamuko pulled back at the last second and panted, out of breath and pale for some reason. She held a hand to her chest and thought back to the last time she felt so exhausted. No, she never felt as exhausted as she was now and all she did was squeeze the neck of a defenseless boy on his death bed.
The anger returned to her and Hamuko kicked the bed hard, sending him a few feet up in the air. She pulled on her own bangs because despite all the hatred she had for him now, there was this lingering anxiety that was eating her up from the inside. She held a hand to her mouth and thought, just dreading to think of what she was going to have to deal with whenever he got better.
Oh God, that stupid boy was going to be back at it.
He was going to annoy her.
He was going to test her patience.
He was going to make her suffer.
Give her nightmares.
Steal her breath away, again.
"I can't go on like this!" she yelled at his face, hoping he was listening despite suffering brain damage and a host of other bad injuries. She punched the mattress and kept screaming at Minato, pouring out her emotions and all the problems that he had caused her. "You are not doing that to me again!"
"You are not going to make my life hell again, do you hear me!?" she swore, voice easily reaching even outside of the floor. "I have spent months sobbing and begging like this, begging for you to get up!"
"..."
"You weak, pathetic fool! This all you do!" Hamuko thought back to the numerous time he landed in the hospital while she banged her head on the walls, worried and afraid that he was never going to wake up again. "You end up in this goddamn bed and I FUCKING SUFFER!"
Silence prevailed after her last word and Hamuko looked around the room, recalling her numerous visits here. Hell, she had spent more time in the hospital room than she did in the dorm room.
"You are weak!"
"You fucking suck!"
Hamuko stomped back to him and made a promise, that tonight was going to be the end of it.
"I can't live with this crawling on my back!" she screamed one last time and got to work. She ripped the IVs attached to his arm and the rest of the medical apparatus before she pulled him off the bed and dropped him to the floor with a sickening bang. She pulled back at the loud echo, nearly knocking herself out because that hurt her as much as it did Minato. "I am going to end this tonight!"
She looked down and threw up in her mouth a little, knees shaking when she saw the blood rushing past her shoes. She had never felt so nauseous at the sight of blood before but she gathered up the pieces of her broken psyche and searched for her knife in her pocket, trembling, missing and cutting her own fingers a bunch of time until she found the handle in her grip.
Hamuko looked down at him one last time, heart pounding inside of her chest and her feet unconsciously moving away from the bloodied, lifeless body. She brought herself back to reality and closed the distance again, biting down on her quivering bottom lip as she readied herself to put an a full stop to everything that was wrong in her life.
"This is the end!" Hamuko said, bending down and grabbing a hold of the collar of his hospital gown. She pushed him up just a little to expose his neck, wanting to kill him slowly because of all the suffering he had brought upon her. "After tonight, nothing will make me miserable again."
"I will be alone!"
"I will be by myself!"
"I will be numb!"
"I will be the way I was before I met you!"
Hamuko's red eyes opened up and widened, almost popping out the sockets when her own words echoed inside of her head.
Alone.
Numb.
Like before.
She looked down and her eyes started to water and her lip started gushing out blood. Her limbs started trembling and the guilt exploded inside of heart and soul when the facade finally crumbled and the redhead wailed on the top of her lungs, finally breaking down at the familiar sight of Minato near death and this time, it was all because of her.
"Y-You did this to me," she barely spoke, her words jumbled up and barely making sense.
"Why did you do this to me?"
"Why did I do this to you?"
Hamuko removed the grip around his collar and collapsed down next to him on her knees, hand still twitching around the hilt of the knife. All that had made her happy, stable and human, she had sent all of that straight to hell. She had spat on their love, stabbed him on the shoulder and told him to go kill himself and he did just that.
She had put a bullet through their relationship.
Why?
She didn't even know why...
"Why?"
Hamuko questioned, cursing herself for being like this, for being so fucked up and unpredictable, so inhumane and demonic.
Hamuko picked the knife up again and sobbed over him, wincing and almost throwing up when she saw the gash on his shoulder and the massive hole in the middle of his head. She thought for a few seconds and took a couple of deep breaths before raising her knife once again, still intending to make her words come true.
Tonight was indeed the end.
The end...
"For me..."
She whispered and drove the knife straight for her heart, screaming out blood when the metal tore into her flesh and the redhead hurled herself backwards, trying to get one last look at Minato before black dots starting dancing in her fading vision as the hands of death started wrapping around her throat. She fell back in a bloody heap, eye wide open as her broken and damaged heart started pumping for the last few beats.
"M-Minato..."
He did this for love, huh?
"S-So did I..."
He deserved far better than someone like her.
"..."
Hamuko briefly saw Pharos hovering over her and then she screamed, feeling as if something was pulling her soul out of her body. She tried to fight back the feeling but soon enough, her soul was forcefully removed from her body and was hurled inside a vortex of darkness. She regained her eyesight and senses and the blackness around her starting clearing up and just far ahead of her-
Blue hair-
Small frame-
"Minato?"
She saw a glance of the blunet just a few miles ahead and started running after him like a bat out of hell. She had so many questions about what the hell happened after the knife went in her chest. Where was she? Was she dead? Why was Pharos there but all of that could wait.
Hamuko chased after the blue haired boy in the never ending land of shadows, calling out to him and apologizing for what she had done and during the run, she saw memories, memories that made her berate, hit and pity herself because it was all over for her.
"Minato!" she shouted, feeling the tears cascading down he cheeks but the blunet did not stop and kept walking ahead, disappearing and appearing out of the shadows around him. "Wait! Please!"
"I'm sorry!" she screamed at him but he did not stop and eventually, stepped inside a pale blue door at the end of the road, disappearing from her view and not popping out again. Hamuko came to a stop and panted, having a faint idea of what was waiting for her up ahead. She looked back and hoped to see him again but alas, she was alone, just a few steps away from her eternal resting place.
Having figured out this was the end, Hamuko rested her hand on the knob and whispered.
"I am so sorry..."
She breathed out.
"I hope you find someone who will heal the wounds that I gave you,"
She turned on the doorknob and said her goodbyes to Minato.
"Farewell..."
As soon as she opened the door to the next life, flames lashed out and struck her, burning and blowing her backwards with a cry of pain. She fell back and as soon as she regained her senses, the void around her was gone, replaced by the fires of hell that were waiting for her ever since the first life she took.
"N-No!" Hamuko pulled back and cried out in pain, the heat smoldering her frame and burning her from all angles. It crept up her ankles and started spreading over her body that started trembling, getting burned black due to the intense heat that was not stopping and only increasing in intensity as she repeatedly yelled out for someone to put an end to the heat that was burning her from inside and out, making her shiver and tremble like nothing ever did before.
"Minato!"
His name came as a reflex and Hamuko started yelling it out repeatedly, losing her limbs, eyes and face to the flames-
"Minato!"
Ashes started forming around her, the ashes of her being and the fire started pulling her towards the doorway to hell-
"S-Save me!"
She tried to free herself but couldn't not power out of the hands of fate as easily, getting overpowered and dragged towards hell. Despite accepting that hell was her place long ago, Hamuko was terrified of the flames as they were far more brutal than she had imagined, designed specifically to burn the flesh of demons and devils, much like her-
"F-Fuck!"
Without legs and arms, Hamuko was dragged across the ground, trying to force her weight down until she was brought to the end of the door. More of the flames escaped from the other side and grabbed onto her and by this point she had stopped struggling, accepting the horrendous flames that were going to lash her for the rest of eternity-
With her body burning with the flames of hell, Hamuko felt a different kind of warmth in the middle of her chest, bubbling and soothing the horrible burns on her soul. She felt a push and then felt the pain of her injured body, as if her soul was returning back to her body in the real world-
"Idiot..."
Hamuko heard the whisper and sucked in a deep breath, getting pulled away from from hell and away from the flames, back into the real body. She heard the sound of her heart beating and felt her limbs that were previously burned to ashes, regaining mobility that washed away the numbness of death, all because of a warm grip on her chest, right where she had stabbed herself a few minutes ago.
Hamuko inhaled as soon as she felt life running through her veins. She opened her eyes and thanked the Gods for saving her from the hell, hell that she was not yet ready to face.
For the first time in her life, Hamuko was thankful for the gift of life.
Having experienced death and hell, she had grown to appreciate the world and the life that inhibited it.
When all of her senses returned, Hamuko saw a head of red and blue hair hovering over her. Her instincts made her cringe and she shied away for a few seconds, ashamed and unwilling to stare him in the eye after what she had done.
Minato panted and removed his hand from the wound that was healed just enough to bring her back to life from the clutches of death. His head started spinning and the blunet pulled back, coughing and wheezing, barely able to see due to her vision being impaired after the suicide attempt. He made no move and simply rested his back against the wall, keeping one eye barely open and fixed upon the redhead who was staring up at the ceiling.
Slowly, Hamuko started moving, getting off her back and getting to her knees. She looked around the room and then hung her head low, still having trouble mustering up the courage to stare him in the eye. The room still reeked off the iron like stench of blood and after the hell she went through, she found it even more nauseous than before.
"You..." Hamuko glanced at the wound on her chest, it was still visible and far from completely gone but healed just enough to save her from death. When she heard the voice and felt the warm grip in her near death experience, she knew know who was responsible for pulling her out of there and bringing her back. "Saved me...?"
"You..." Hamuko started crawling towards him on her hands and knees, flinching every time she met his gaze. She felt so ashamed but at the same time, she was determined to put everything right, especially after barely escaping her fate. "Why did you...?"
Hamuko came to a stop next to him and saw his skull through the hole in his head. She made a move to touch him but refrained, not sure whether he would take it or lash out and smack her across the face.
"After all I have done to you?" Hamuko recalled with another wince, all the insults, slaps and shoves she had given him over the past few weeks. She remembered the stab on his shoulder and the punch that knocked him out of her room. "Why would you bring someone like me back?"
"..."
"Minato..."
Hamuko nudged him softly, silently begging him to talk.
"Just say something," she begged, tugging on his hand like she used to do before, like a girl scared out of her wits. "Do something. Yell at me, curse me, hit me, just..."
Minato kept inhaling and exhaling softly, just waiting-
"I don't deserve you after all I have done but I'll be the selfish bitch I've always been," she swore. "I am not moving until you acknowledge me, until I get your forgiveness."
After a few more minutes of silence, Hamuko reached out and stroked the side of his head, softly caressing the wound on his forehead. She held his gaze and moved closer, blinking away the tears and clasping the mark on his shoulder. Hamuko took a long breath and pressed her forehead against his, cupping his bruised face and pouting, still begging him to say something, anything.
"So sorry," Hamuko apologized, wrapping her arms around his neck and hugging him, tightly but lovingly, trying not to squeeze more blood out of him. She got in her favorite position and sighed softly, despite the crap ton of guilt and shame, she felt the familiar peace of his warmth and embrace. Eventually, she heard a sigh and felt his arms snaking around her waist, pressing her close and she eagerly closed the remaining distance, pressing herself flush against him and settling her head on his chest with a soft murmur.
"You moron..." Minato breathed out, resting his head against the wall. He did feel a lot of rage for what she had done but now, having her sobbing and curled up against him like some sort of wounded, lost child, deathly afraid of letting go made him sigh. What could he even say to her now?
"I don't even know myself anymore," Hamuko wailed, forgetting the fact he was wounded and clutching him tightly, lost in her guilt and misery. "I don't know what got into me, I promise. I just... stopped feeling, like someone had flipped a switch!"
"..."
"I'm starting to grow scared of my own self," Hamuko admitted. "These thoughts? My hands? Are these even my own? Who am I really? How do I even function?"
Minato winced, knowing the reason she was like this.
"I-I almost squeezed your neck, I tossed you down and came this close to stabbing you," Hamuko looked him in the eye and Minato shivered at the horrified look on her face and her puffy red eyes. "I stabbed you, Minato. I made you attempt suicide..."
"Hamuko..."
"Look at us," Hamuko sniffed, glancing around the bloodied ground of the room and their own bodies that were caked in the blood of each other. The two were huddled up in the corner of a hospital room, mentally scarred, physically wounded in a pool of blood and broken pieces of their psyches. "We're fucked up, covered in wounds and blood and barely alive."
Hamuko shook her head. "No..."
"..."
"I am the one fucked up," she admitted with another sob. She wanted to curse and scream the fuck out but she held it in, not wanting to cause him more pain after the stunts she had pulled. "I am the bitch. I am the weakling, a weakling who doesn't even know if she's her own self."
"Don't you dare say that," Minato finally spoke, hissing through his teeth because the pain was unbearable. He forced her to look up and stared into her watery red eyes. "You are Hamuko, someone who has saved my ass so many times."
"What good is my abnormal strength?" Hamuko murmured. "Somewhere in the future, I'll lose myself again and hurt you again."
"I want to get better, Minato," Hamuko said, having enough of the bloodlust and rage that had fueled her for the past ten years. "I want to be normal again. I swear, I wasn't always like this, I was a normal kid and then... something just happened."
When she was just another step away from a breakdown, Minato pulled her close and softly kissed her forehead, instilling the soothing warmth in her heart and soul. She climbed onto his lap and moved her arms from his chest to around his neck, all the voices, thoughts and despair stopping and dispersing the moment he pecked her head.
"To hell with this," Hamuko said softly, forcing the questions and misery to the back of her head. She groaned at the second peck, carving more of the drug that always calmed her down, no matter the hell she was going through. "M-More, Minato... Please."
Hamuko moved her head up and kissed the hole on his head, not minding the blood on her lips. She ran her fingertips over the edges of the gash and hugged his head to her chest, still shivering and sniffing but slowly calming down in his embrace and love.
"I'm sorry for what I did," Hamuko apologized again. "I swear, I'll try to get better, for you and myself. I don't want this dream to end and I'll try to be someone who you can be proud of."
"I am already am," Minato smiled softly, making her coo and pinch his cheeks.
"You dummy," Hamuko giggled, tugging his cheek softly. "Making me giggle and smile when I'm having a mental breakdown. How do you do this?"
"Same way you made me jump off the roof," Minato replied. "Love, ya know?"
Hamuko released the hug around his head and leveled her face with his. She pressed a kiss to his lips briefly and relaxed her weight on top of him as she laid on him, clutching him as her eyelids began to droop. She still had so many questions about herself, how she functioned and what the hell happened but for now, she was content on staying like this, wanting a little peace and quiet after the episode of hell the two had gone through.
"Hey," Hamuko whispered into his ear, softly biting into the cartilage as she drawled out next few words. "When you get better and recover... Let's... Let's build our love from scratch again, alright?"
"Thank you, Minato," Hamuko said while she was seconds away from passing out. "Thank you for bringing me back. I fucked up but from what's it worth... I still love you."
"I love you too..."
"Hehehe..." she heard the reply, now sure that she would have a blissful sleep with no nightmares. "Thanks, emo boy." for the first time, she found that Minato had retained his consciousness longer she was able to, feeling his hand soothing and running through her hair as she started slipping into hypno's clutches.
"Thank you so much..."
The team arrived and found the two covered in blood and bruises, curled up together in the corner of the room that was bathed in crimson but even with all of that, the two seemed at peace, sleeping with smiles on their faces. It was always a little surreal to see how the two functioned but after all that had happened in the past few weeks, Mitsuru smiled a little because everything was right back on track.
...
"Hey,"
Yukari stopped and turned around, surprised to see Hamuko walking over to her with a straight face. She was expecting something rude but Hamuko walked up to her and smiled a little, the first smile she had ever given her.
"Thank you," the redhead spoke without a hitch, openly thanking the brunette whom she once despised. "For saving Minato from death a couple of days ago."
"..." Yukari widened her eyes, not sure whether she was hearing right.
"I am in your debt," Hamuko said, extending her hand for a shake. "You saved his life and mine. Thank you, Yukari."
The brunette giggled, happy to see that the two were back together. She accepted the handshake and finally saw through the madness that the psycho girl was not too bad.
SMASH-
She was getting better.
...
When he was finally healed up enough, Hamuko dragged him towards his room and gently pushed him inside. She had given up on forcing him and being rough with him like she was before. She kicked the door shut and locked it, flustered and a little shy herself despite being the one who always took the lead.
"Uh," Minato blushed and avoided her gaze. A part of him did feel a little weird at the fact that he was going to sleep with the girl who stabbed his shoulder and made him jump off the roof. He scratched back of his head and silence lingered on for the next several seconds.
"It feels a little weird," Hamuko commented out loud. "I'm still a little ashamed to look you in the eye."
"A little," Minato admitted.
"But after all that has happened," she sighed and started undoing the buttons on her skirt, deciding to just go ahead and make this a night to remember, a night to fix all the awkwardness and the lingering anxiety of the past tragedy. "After all I did... I... want to make you feel good."
Hamuko dropped her skirt and stepped out of it, slowly making her way towards the blunet who blushed and averted his gaze. He was forced to look in her direction when she grabbed a hold of his chin and stood on her toes to kiss his lips. She pushed him back and made him sit on the bed, straddling his legs and deepening the first real kiss in a long while.
Hamuko felt the rush and warmth and she closed her eyes, wrapping her arms around his neck and pulling him towards herself, lacing her fingers into the hair on the back of his head and running them through gently. A small tingle went down her spine when she heard Minato moan softly, easing the recurring voice of his empty laugh that had been blaring nonstop for weeks.
Hamuko separated briefly and quickly took off her heavy jacket, panting much like the breathless blunet who responded the next time they kissed, gently, looking to ease up the bad blood and memories. She sat up a bit to explore more of his mouth, nibbling on his lips when she pushed her tongue in with a giggle, feeling him already heating up and shivering against her.
Minato cupped her knee and the redhead gasped against his mouth, wincing a little when his fingers moved up thigh and squeezed her hip. She started undoing the button on her blouse, clumsily, missing a few times with her hands trembling but eventually she managed to get the cloth off her body, leaving her in just her garments.
"Blue?" Minato gulped when she broke the kiss. Despite all the shame and awkwardness, he was not able to look away. He was also a little ashamed that his girlfriend had more lean muscle than he did. "Hamuko, you..."
"I brought red before but..." she toyed with the elastic of her underwear, teasingly while sitting right on top of him. "Figured out that would be too predictable."
"Ugh," Minato threw his head back, trembling just under her weight, much to her delight. As much as she tried to put her psycho tendencies under a leash, seeing the blue haired persona user shiver like that made her a lot more excited.
"Should I keep these on?" she asked innocently, toying with the straps on her shoulders and giving him a brief glimpse with a small tug of her cups. "Or should I take them off?"
"Is this payback for me calling you an idiot?" Minato flinched and Hamuko broke into a fit of giggles, tackle hugging him onto the bed because she couldn't handle the urges to screw him senseless anymore. She quickly ripped off his jacket and shirt, roaming her hands on his barely muscular chest and shoulders to get a few more gasps out of Minato.
Hamuko quickly removed her bra and underwear and guided his hands to where she wanted. She took in the pleasant surges for a little while before she leaned down and managed to spoke through her moans, a little disclaimer of sorts.
"I might injure you," she chewed on her thumb as she spoke, eyes snapping shut and a hiss escaping her clenched teeth. "I might use my nails and my teeth on you and don't be surprised if I squeeze you too hard at times."
"Whatever the hell," Minato replied, struggling for words much like her.
Hamuko moaned herself, thighs trembling and her chest heaving as he continued the ministrations for the next few minutes, only stopping when she pleaded him to, not wanting to end the night so soon.
"Stupid boy," she spat playfully, eyeing the somewhat cocky smile on his face. "Making me all hot and bothered like this. No boy was supposed to make me feel like this, you asshole."
The two winced in unison this time, exploring each other while looking for approval, getting lost in the touch and intimacy that they sorely needed after the past few weeks. Each moan from Minato made the redhead grin, lifting the massive weight off her psyche every time she made him feel good with the softest touch.
"I'm gonna keep you in bed and make you moan my name the whole night," Hamuko promised, pushing him flat on his back. "I'm going to rebuild our love from scratch again, greater than before."
"You just lie there, maybe get your hand in worthwhile places once in a while but let me do the work, kay?" she smiled, closing the distance between their lips with a smile on her face. "Just be sure to look at me. I want to see the pleasure on your face when I make you feel good."
"Y-Yeah," Minato said. "I... said this before but... you're beautiful, Hamuko."
"Make me yours, then..." Hamuko whispered back seductively, needy red eyes widening with lust.
"Claim me..."
...
Hamuko collapsed on top of Minato after the last moan escaped her lips, falling on his shoulder while the blunet took a few seconds to find his breath after she had knocked it out of his lungs. Slowly, he wrapped his arms around her back and inhaled, her labored breaths ghosting against the skin of his neck and shoulder.
The redhead reached for the blanket and pulled it over herself and Minato, letting out small exhales as his moaning still rang in her ears, replacing the auditory hallucinations of his sad laugh. After lying on him for a while, Hamuko eventually got off and moved to his side, kissing his cheek and forcing him to look at her, giving him her usual gorgeous grin reserved only for him.
"Told you," Hamuko spoke, her mind and conscience clear after the unforgettable night. She was finally able to hold his gaze unabashedly, knowing she had given him more pleasure than pain, as clear as the dazed look in his eyes. "I'd set everything right."
Minato said nothing and just smiled back, caressing her cheek softly and she nuzzled against his hand with a purr.
SMASH!
Hamuko paid no attention to the voice and dipped her head to kiss him again.
"Just never leave me," she whispered. "I might have saved your life but you gave me back the life that I lost."
Hamuko hugged his head and squeezed tightly, pressing a soft kiss on the top as he drifted off to sleep.
"Thank you..."
She breathed out, heart and soul in complete and utter bliss for the first time in 10 years. She felt normal, all thanks to the miracle drug that she had stumbled upon by accident and now was completely addicted with no intention of letting go.
"My messiah..."
And reverse one shot number 2, holy fuck the first one was 6k and this was double that. Special christmas chapter because everybody should be happy on christmas. Hopefully this cheered up a few of you, it was dark but I think the other stuff evened it out at the end. A lot of folks were asking me for this and Nights delivers! ... When he isn't crushed by college work.
Might make a final one if people like this one too so just let me know. I do have a rough idea of how it goes. Reviews are always appreciated. I apologize for the wait but I said it before, 2018 was going to be a hectic year and I am incredibly burned out from writing.
Merry Christmas everyone. Have a great one. Cheers!
