A note of caution
This is a self-satisfied novel by myself for myself.
Misspellings and omissions
The setting is messy.
Gudako = Ritsuka Fujimaru
This is a story about Ritsuka Fujimaru of U.A High School, Class C, who works hard at the U.A Sports Festival.
"Player Representative‼︎1-A Bakugo Katsuki‼︎"
Called by R-Rated hero "Midnight," a boy with a head of pale blond hair, red eyes, and a blank stare stood in front of the microphone.
"Sensei.
I'm going to win first place," said the boy called Bakugo Katsuki.
"I knew you would do it.
The students booed the Hero Department's comment at first, but Bakugo didn't let it get to him.
"At least be a good springboard for me."
He then put his thumb in front of his neck making a cut motion.
"It's amazing that he dared to make such statement in front of everyone...
If he's a representative of the players, it means he is the best in the Hero Department entrance exam, right? He must be really strong...!"
"I'm sure he's very strong...!"
"...You're so carefree, He's the enemy you know. If you don't take this seriously, someone like you will be easily swept away."
While Ritsuka was admiring the imposing bakugo, shinso who is next to her, looked at her with a dumbfounded expression.
"I'll do my best to make sure that doesn't happen.
Thanks for worrying about me."
"...Ha? I'm not worried about you."
As we were happily chatting, the explanation of Midnight's first event began. A monitor was projected in front of the students.
I followed the words on the monitor with my eyes.
"The first event is ..., obstacle course?"
Immediately, the gate, the starting point for the obstacle course, opened.
As soon as the gate opened, the students began to run.
"At the sports festival, everyone around you is your enemy. That includes me, of course. That's why, Fujimaru should try to be Fujimaru and do her best."
After telling Ritsuka that, he asked some of the people around him to use his "brainwashing" quirk to carry him, and he went straight through the starting gate.
"E? Are you going to go first?
I was all set to cut the goal tape with you, Shinso-kun. It was supposed to be a cooperative game!"
Ritsuka's cries went unanswered, and the figure of Shinso disappeared from Ritsuka's sight.
At the starting gate, most of the students had already finished passing through.
However, Ritsuka was in no hurry and thought slowly.
.
(Hmmm, obstacle course...) I don't know what's going to be in the obstacle course, but it's just a race, right? So let's focus on speed. ...
...Okay, I've decided.
.
.
After deciding about it, I closed my eyes and chanted.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
"...Spirit Possession (Grand Order), Archer 『Atalante』.
Please, lend me your power."
The pattern on Ritsuka's right hand glowed faintly.
『... If it is by your command, I will lend you my strength』
A voice echoed in Ritsuka's head. Ritsuka's eyes, which at first glance had not changed at all, had changed from a clear brown to a deep green reminiscent of a forest, and in her hands, which at first were holding nothing, was a long, black bow as tall as she was.
『...and, might I ask your command?』
"A race. You're good at that, aren't you, Atalante?"
『... Who do you think I am, Master? I am the fastest woman in the history of Greek mythology.』
Even though she couldn't see her face, Ritsuka could feel Atalante's voice laughing.
.
.
.
.
.
.
『Master, I will guarantee your victory.』
With Atalante's leg power, Ritsuka quickly caught up with the front row. However, a large group of giant robots stood in front of Ritsuka and the others.
"Now, the first obstacle suddenly appeared out of nowhere! Let's give a welcome to...
The first obstacle, the robot inferno!."
"Virtual enemy from the entrance examination!?"
Voices starts to rise from the front row.
"Seriously⁉︎
"There's too many of them."
"The heroes fought those things?"
"There's too many to get through."
As various voices were raised, the robot standing in front of him suddenly became enveloped in ice. It was Todoroki Shoto, who was leading the race.
"That guy stopped them! That's the gap! we can get through!"
The students were trying to get through the gap, and Ritsuka was trying to get ahead of them.
.
『No! Master, get back! It's going to collapse.』
"Gyaa-!."
In the nick of time, Ritsuka narrowly avoided the robot, which had collapsed because it was frozen in a precarious position.
"That's not good! If I hadn't dodge that, I would've died⁉︎I mean, if it weren't for Atalante, I would've died for sure!"
『Master, be on your guard If you're not careful, you could get hurt...Or have you given up already?』
Atalante's words reminded Ritsuka of Midnight's words.
(I don't care what you do,・・・・・・・・・・, as long as you stick to the course!)
Ritsuka slapped her cheeks as hard as she could with the palms of her hands.
"... You're right. I was a bit distracted back then. I won't let my guard down again, I'll do my best!"
『As expected of master! Come on, let's go!』
And so Ritsuka continued onward, dodging and sometimes intercepting the attacking (or falling) robots.
Even though she was a human being, her power was that of a hero.
Ritsuka ran through the race, sometimes shooting through the obstacles, without regard to the fact that she started late.
After jumping the second barrier, "The Fall," the race reaches its final stage.
『We're almost there. Let's go, Master.』
"Got it!"
Ritsuka proceeded quickly and cautiously so as not to step on any mines.
During the course of the race, There was a huge explosion at the back of the field, and a familiar boy was seen flying towards the front of the field in the blast, but Ritsuka was able to make it into the top 42 with enough time to spare.
