About Ritsuka Fujimaru
I already love the main character of fgo... I love the main character of fgo... The player is us, but I can't relate to them at all.
In the secondary works, there are many Gudas written and drawn, including the novel I'm writing, but the main character of fgo in my mind is not very energetic! She's a relatively sensible girl who says things clearly, but she also makes some jokes and gets into bad jokes. I mean, a lot. she's not a talkative person, she doesn't have a lot of ups and downs, and she usually just listens to what people have to say.
She is usually quiet and listens to what people have to say, and sometimes she makes jokes that are either natural or intentional, and is rebuked by Mash.
She also has a keen eye for observation.
She instantly knows what words to say to someone and what words she wants them to say to her.
Is there such a person in the world?
She doesn't go out of her way to get to know everyone, and in a good way, she keeps a shallow and broad relationship with them, so it's easy for her to get a good sense of their distance and accept them, which I think is what makes her attractive to Servants.
That's why I try to keep that image in mind when I write my novels.
Whenever I'm asked a difficult question, Gudas always give me an answer that surpasses my expectations.
And I'm always impressed by that.
I'd like to continue to follow the main character in secret.
Thank you for reading this far!
───── Sometimes, I dream.
Slowly but resolutely, she climbed the wooden stairs, step by step.
Her short, wildly cut hair tickled the nape of her neck.
In the middle of the square, I was being watched by many people. I could hear them cursing at me.
The crowd here wanted me dead.
She straightened her back majestically, as if she hadn't heard anything. I would not lose my dignity until the end of my life.
Finally, I climbed the final stairs and reached the top of the decapitation.
Suddenly, my posture collapsed and I unintentionally stepped on the foot of the person beside me.
"I'm sorry I stepped on your shoes, I didn't mean to.
,but I'm glad your shoes are clean.
My mouth moves naturally. It was as if it had been decided from the start that I would say that.
I crouched down, turned my head downward, and placed my head in the hollow hole.
And then ───── ...
"aaaaAAAA!"
Ritsuka woke up with a scream of her own.
Reflexively, she sat up.
Even though the room was air-conditioned, Ritsuka's body was drenched in cold sweat.
Unconsciously, she put her hand on her neck.
Ritsuka breathed a sigh of relief that her neck was still intact.
But she was still shaking with fear and breathing on her shoulders.
(Just when I thought I haven't seen it lately)
I put my fist on my chest to hold my still beating heart.
Masters sometimes share the memories of their servants in dreams.
And Ritsuka was no exception to this.
At Chaldea, I have contracts with countless Heroic Spirits, and as such, I see the memories of many of them.
And most of them are not things that you can look at just for the fun of it, like the most painful thing that happened to you in your life or the last moments of that Heroic Spirit.
The most troublesome part of the dream is that it's not just a memory, it's an actual experience like the one I just had. When you're dreaming, it's hard to realize that you're dreaming, and even if you did, there's nothing you could do about it. You're going to follow the historical facts regardless of your own will.
Anyway, the mental fatigue is not half bad.
I never thought I'd have to see it even after being reborn.
At the same time as the painful feeling, however, there is relief.
Looking into the memories of heroic spirits makes me feel a little bad, and sometimes it's terribly painful, but still───
.
.
.
.
.
All of this fear and pain is proof that I was connected to the spirits of the past.
"I'm fine. I still remember. I still..."
Ritsuka muttered in a trembling voice, holding back her tears.
『I'm sorry, Master.
I'm sorry I gave you a fright.』
Her voice did not reach me.
On the second day of the U.A Sports Festival review holiday, Ritsuka was called to school.
Ritsuka woke up earlier than usual because of her dream and went to the school to change into her uniform.
It was early in the morning on a weekday, so there were few people.
When she arrived at the staff room and approached the homeroom teacher, she was taken to the career counseling room. There, She found "Eraserhead", the homeroom teacher of the Hero Department, and Mr. Nezu, the principal.
"Hey! Sorry to call you on your day off, Ritsuka Fujimaru!"
"Oh, no. No problem at all."
"You were so active in the sports festival! How's your health?"
"I'm fine."
"That's great! Well, let's get down to business, shall we? So, The reason why I called you here is to talk about transferring you from the regular course to the Hero Course!"
"...What?"
"You're a regular student, but you did a spectacular job at the sports festival! Even if you move to the hero department now, if you work hard enough, you can quickly catch up with the pace of those around you..."
"No, no, wait a minute..."
When Ritsuka stopped him, the principal stared at her with a curious look on his face.
"Iya, ano ~. It's not that I don't want to transfer to the hero course. I'd prefer to stay in the regular course ..."
"E?"
Is that so? The principal's eyes widened.
I guess he didn't expect that. That's true. A student from a regular course who made it to the final event would attract attention on its own. That's what people who want to move from the regular course to the hero course, like Shinso, are aiming for.
A girl from the regular department won against the hero department and came in fourth place.
Who could have predicted that she didn't actually want to transfer to the hero department at all?
"Do you have any non-heroic dreams for the future?"
"No, I don't really have any..."
Principal Nezu began to think, and a painful silence fell over the room.
I didn't think it was my fault, but I couldn't stand this silence.
Then Eraserhead, who had been silently watching the exchange between the principal and Ritsuka (and whose real name Ritsuka could not remember), spoke up for the first time.
"It was our fault for not confirming with Fujimaru. I'm sorry. But with that in mind, I'll ask you again.
Fujimaru, are you interested in transferring to the Hero Course? Even though it's a hero course, it's not much different from the regular course in terms of study. There will be more practical training and you'll have to get a temporary license, but from what I saw of you at the sports festival, I think you'll be fine.
It's not that I want to force you to become a hero, I'm just saying that joining the hero department is not a bad deal for you either."
And then Eraserhead took a breather.
"You're not using your quirk well. Even if it looks like you're using it well, From what i've seen, you're putting a lot of stress on yourself. If you use your quirk without thinking about yourself, you will only destroy your own body."
"At the sports festival, even though you seemed to be fooling around, but in reality you were really at your limit." Eraserhead added.
She's been found out.
"No, No. it's fine... if I stay in the regular course, I won't have the chance to use my quirk in the future..."
"You look so lively at the sports festival. I'm sure that's not the first time you use your quirk. Since you seemed to be used to it."
"Uh..."
"Fujimaru, you need to learn how to control your quirk. And you can do that in the Hero Department."
"It's easy to see why, if you think about it rationally."
Just then, the principal, who had been alone with his thoughts, suddenly looked up as if he had taken a break.
"Well, even if you transfer, it won't be right away! At the earliest, you'll remain in the regular course until after the summer vacation. You'll have time to think it over again!
Ritsuka was then kicked out of the counseling room before she had time to argue with the principal
"...How is it?"
"Hmmm. It seemed to me that there was some other reason why she weren't keen on joining the hero department!
"I felt the same way.
Her quirk is still unknown. I don't believe that her quirk is a projection.
Or at least there's something more to it than that.
As long as we don't know anything about it, it's better to leave Fujimaru in the Hero Department.
...For her own sake.
"Ah... In the end, we can only wait for her to make her decision!
Until then, I'm counting on you, Aizawa-sensei!
"... Understood."
