Great start though and I can't wait to see the shenanigans that will undoubtedly unfold.

Chapter starting...

Finally, after what felt like forever, the last period came. Every single class I and Annabeth are together since our schedules are almost the same except Optional. She has Architecture and I choose Marine Biology because of my great ocean addiction. When I told about it Annabeth, she said I am truly a Seaweed brain.

" So what are you going to do?", I asked Annabeth. She shrugged and said," I normally go hang out in the library but, today Luke's got a swimming meet with another school, so I am gonna cheer for him."

" I guess I'll come too. I've got nothing else to do"

OoOoOoOoOoOoOo

" GO LUKE GOOO", shouted the Girl next to me." Could you simmer down a bit, you are destroying my eardrums", I grumbled. It wasn't true, but I had to act humany as possible. Wait is that even a word?

The girl apologized and continued on screaming like I haven't complained about it." Is Luke famous or something?", I asked Annabeth who was next to me.

" Yep.", said Annabeth popping the 'p'

The referee blew the whistle and Luke jumped and freestyled to the other end.

Speed: 3 miles per hour ( I don't know the average amount)

" I'll like to have a try on swimming", I said.

" Your Seaweed brain shines the best there", she teased. I pouted at her.

Luke won and the people around us started clapping and screaming. Annabeth simply clapped, like she has seen this for a million years." How does it feel to have a 20 win streak?", asked the people from the media.

" It feels great. So great that I believe, knowone can beat me.", said Luke, full of pride. Cocky.

" In fact, I am thinking about challenging someone in the audience to beat me", added Luke.

He scanned the people who came to watch him. The girls were screaming ' OMG Luke you are so hot. Annabeth rolled her eyes and muttered ' cocky'. I smiled.

" Jackson!"

I turned and saw Luke pointing at me.

" I challenge you!"

I looked around and everyone was looking at me. Even Annabeth.

I got up with confidence.

" I accept!"

" Aren't you scared?", asked Annabeth.

" No", I replied simply. I have no emotion called 'fear' I wanted to say.

" Luke's a tough opponent. If you lose your reputation is gonna be crushed.", said Thalia.

I shrugged," I can't just back down."

" Then you should have said you can't swim."

" Well, I can!"

Thalia stomped her foot down in frustration.

" Percy their asking for you. Get dressed quick", said Jason as he handed me a swim kit.

I quickly ran in and changed.

I rushed out and saw my friends standing there with troubled emotions on their faces. When Annabeth saw my body she blushed and decided not to compliment it.

" Good luck!", my friends said as they started to go. Annabeth stayed there with concern in her eyes.

She studied me and did something that caught me off guard.

She kissed my cheek and said," Win this for me, Seaweed Brain" and she was gone in a flash.

I touched the place she kissed me. I smile spread on my face. For Annabeth.

As I climbed up to the board next to Luke who gave me a smile like I was an ant.

BANG

I jumped to the water and swam as fast as I could. This was my physical ability so I didn't have any advantage.

I reached the end and popped my head up and wiped my face to clear my vision. Everyone was silent. I was sure I lost it.

I turned back and looked at Luke who was now standing in the middle of the pool looking at me with hatred and shock. Then everyone started cheering. I looked at Annabeth who was smiling at me and I couldn't help but feel the familiar feeling in my stomach.

I JUST BEAT LUKE.

My friends came rushing and gave me a group hug which made them wet their clothes because I was wet.

" You did it Kelp head"

" That was insane"

" You just whipped Luke's sorry A**"

I looked at Annabeth and shared a moment looking into her eyes. In just a day we became great friends.

" Did something happened between you two we don't know?", asked Thalia with a smirk.

I blushed and stuttered," N-no nothing on wh-what you are relating on"

I walked out of the changing room and rushed to the park to meet my friends. As I was passing I heard someone arguing.
