Annabeth POV
" What do I wear?", I asked Piper." Usually you don't care about your dress when going to a party", said Piper skeptically.
Normally I don't, but this is not normal.
She gasped and said," Is this because of Percy?"
I blushed. It was not like I like him but whenever he's near or someone says his name, I blush or feel butterflies in my stomach
" What..him? Why would I do-do this fo-for him", I lied.
Piper squealed and started telling something about 'percabeth', whatever that is.
" Piper you are not helping?", I complained.
She stopped and smirked," Yeah yeah, Percy would be disappointed"
I managed to contain the blush as Piper started choosing dresses.
7:00 PM
Drew's Reserved Hotel
Percy's POV
I stood there in front of the hotel with Jason and Leo, waiting for the girls.
I was listening to music from Spotify while Jason and Leo were having a competition on who will throw the stone to the lake (nearby) the furthest.
Someone tapped on my shoulder and I quickly turned the music off and turned to meet Aphrodite.
Just kidding Annabeth Chase.
She looked freaking beautiful.
She wore a Blue ( My favorite Colour) Dress with Green lines. A/N I am a boy so I don't know much about this, so please don't roast me in the reviews.
The only Jewelry she had was a bead necklace which I gave to her ( We both have One)
She wore no makeup except lipstick. But still, she looked so pretty. If I looked at her any longer I was sure I was going to make the insides of me burn.
" H...I...", I said losing the ability to speak.
" Hey", said Annabeth.
" You look...Hot", I said quickly reading out my search ' How to tell a girl she's pretty'.
I immediately realized I sound like a creep. Google's such a scam.
" No-no-no. I-I didn't mean it, like that. Your beautiful", I said knowing how cheesy it sounds.
Annabeth laughed the laugh I fell in love with.
"You're cute when your out of words.", said Annabeth and we both blushed.
" Hey lovebirds are you gonna start smooching your faces out or are you coming in", said Thalia.
We both blushed and I muttered softly," We'll take the 2nd option" while every fiber of my body was screaming ' KISS HER'.
As soon as we came I heard a voice which made me want to strangle myself and die.
The Queen B**tch aka Drew came running towards me.
" Percypoo, you came", said Drew, and came to hug me. I took a step back quickly making Drew hug thin air.
I turned around to only find Annabeth. I looked around and Thalia was in the pouch table, Jason and Piper were talking together and all 3 of them were smirking..., like they were planning on leaving me with Annabeth. Wow.
I quickly searched in Google on ' How to show a girl that I don't like back'.

I went forward and laced my fingers with Annabeth and kissed her forehead, feeling her lemony scented hair. She became and I prayed to every god in the world not to make this break our friendship.
In a while, she relaxed and I stepped back.
" I am already taken. You should find someone else, Drew", I said in my softest voice.
She clenched her fist and stomped her feet and ran.
I turned to Annabeth, excepting a slap but instead I was met by a questioning look.
" Annabeth I am sorry. I wanted to show I was not interested in Drew. I get it if you don't want to have this friendship anymore.".
" It's ok. And I wouldn't care if you do it more often.", said Annabeth her face tinting pink just as mine was now.
" So we friends?", I asked.
" Yes and any more stupid questions, Seaweed Brain", she said smiling.
I stepped forward and hugged her and whispered to her, " No"
4 hours in the party
The party went really slowly. People drank and got drunk but our group didn't drink a bit.
They had brought snow sprays and were randomly spraying them at people.
Annabeth yawned beside me and stretched her legs," I'll use the bathroom", she said.
After 5 minutes a alarm rang and a huge blast came knocking everyone except me of the feet.
I looked around quickly and there was fire almost everywhere.
Everyone screamed and ran to the exits.
The Fire escape was blocked with fire ranging higher.
We ran to the door we came from and opened it and everyone ran outside.
As soon as the last person ran out a pole from the roof fell down blocking it.
We ran outside everyone coughing and covering their noses to avoid the smoke.
Once we got outside I scanned for her. I couldn't find her. I scanned the hotel and there I saw her coughing and hugging her feet.
No no no NO. It's my fault why didn't I forget her. I am a jerk.
I need to save her. Need to save her. SAVE HER.
