Penelope was seating outside by the pool with a sweater cause it was colder than the other days and just enjoyed the peace and tranquility her farm gave her. Grace had gone to sleep and left Penelope to her thoughts. There was a lot to think about when it came to Mark and Luke. She loved them both in different ways. Penelope thought that Luke was going to leave Alice and be with her which was the main reason why she let him seduce her and take her to bed constantly. She realized though that he was too much of a chicken and was not going to leave his wife. In a way she understood, but still she had been upset when she had realized it. She shouldn't have even slept with a married man, no matter what she felt for him. Shame on her.

"Hey gorgeous." Mark said and joined her. He sat next to her and looked straight ahead.

"Why won't you fuck me?" She asked calmly.

"That's frank." He chuckled. She looked at him curiously. He sighed. "Because I want to so bad it fucking scares me."

"That doesn't make any sense." She said seriously.

"Love doesn't make sense." He sighed. "You drive me insane Penelope."

"You know I love when you take me anywhere and anytime. That drives me insane." He didn't say anything. "But do you know what turns me on even more?"

Later that evening, Penelope grinned as she saw the car drive up to them and the kids unbuckled their car seats and jumped out running to their mother, Mark and Grace.

"Did you have fun?" Mark asked.

"Yes!" the kids smiled. "We got lots of stuff."

"You did?" she asked happy to see her children excited.

"They had a lot of fun." Alvez smiled as the kids talked nonstop about their time with their grandparents.

Penelope laughed at her kid's excitement and then saw Alvez taking out all the toys and clothes from the back of the van. "Need help?"

"Yea." Alvez said and Mark went over to grab as much as he could and Penelope and Grace as well helped out.

The four adults put the stuff in the living room and Alvez kissed his kids.

"You're not staying?" Penelope asked.

"Nope. Alice will have a fit if I don't get home soon."

"Okay. Thanks for taking them."

"Mom was very happy to see them. That meant a lot." Alvez smiled and walked away.

Penelope and Mark listened to the kids talk about their time away and Alvez watched while Mark had one arm around Penelope's shoulders. He closed the door behind him and left.

New Year's Day

Mark slowly opened his eyes and smiled when he saw Penelope caressing the top of his hair. "Morning."

"Morning," she smiled.

Mark smiled and saw the way she looked at him. "I love you."

She smiled and leaned in to kiss him. "I know."

Mark loved the way she was looking at him and he decided to take a chance. "Will you marry me?" he asked and her eyes widened in surprised but didn't say anything. He tried again but moved so that he was facing her completely. "Marry me Penelope."

She cleared her throat. "Seriously?"

"Dead serious." He said waiting for her answer.

She laughed softly and looked at the way he was looking at her nervously. "Are you sure you want to marry me? It's not just me."

"I know baby. I love you and I love your kids so much."

She smiled widely. "I know you do."

"So what do you say?" he asked as he moved between her legs pressing his body against her and nipped her bottom lip.

"I'd love to marry you Mark." She grinned as she wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him for a kiss. "You don't think it's too fast?"

"Not for me. I wanted to marry you the moment you told me I would be a great husband someday." Her eyes widened again in awe. "I love you so much baby and I know you might not feel as strongly…"

She kissed him to shut him up and then looked at him. "I do love you and I know I'm going to fall in love with you faster than I think."

Mark chuckled. "You're fucking crazy."

"I know."

He pushed inside her and kissed her again. "You just made me really happy."

"I know. I can feel it." She teased.

Mark laughed and kissed her once again as they proceeded to make love all night long.
