Months later
Penelope drove up to Alvez's driveway and texted him that she had arrived. She did not want to see Dawn knowing she didn't like her kids and she would say a few things that her kids shouldn't or don't need to hear. The door opened and she smiled seeing her six-year-old kids. She got out of the car and received hugs and kisses.
"Hi mami." The quads said happily.
"Hi my loves. Did you have fun with daddy and Dawn?"
"Yes."
"Good."
Alvez walked up with their backpacks and kissed his children and the kids got in the car.
"Hey." Penelope smiled.
"So it's true." Alvez said seriously once he saw the enormous engagement ring on her finger. "The kids had said something but I didn't believe it cause I would think you'd tell me first."
"You're acting like a jealous boyfriend." Penelope said annoyed.
"Penelope…"
"Luke…" she said warningly.
"I know." Alvez said frustrated.
"Listen the wedding is in August…"
"Don't you think you're rushing things?" he asked.
"I'm sure the kids would love to have you there." She said ignoring his remark.
"I'll see what I can do." He said.
"Okay."
"You look nice." He said eyeing her body in the business suit she was wearing.
"Thank you. Been busy working a lot more from home."
"I'll pick them up next weekend." Alvez said.
"Okay." She got in the driver's seat. "Bye." She said and drove out the driveway.

That night Mark grabbed the cooking pan and chuckled. "You know he doesn't want you to get married."
Penelope sighed. "He doesn't get a say in this."
"Because he has Dawn?" Mark asked.
"Yes and because Luke and I aren't nothing to each other except co-parents." She said and noticed Mark stayed quiet. "Babe please don't go there."
"I haven't said anything." Mark said.
"But I know what you're thinking." She said worriedly.
Mark walked up to her and palmed her ass. "I'm thinking I can't wait to fuck your ass tonight."
She scoffed at how he wanted to change the subject. "Mark you know I love you and I don't want to be with Luke. I want to be with you and only you."
"I know." Mark said and kissed her lips.
Penelope watched Mark as he cooked and she knew how lucky she was to have him. She really loved him even though she wasn't in love with him yet. So in a way she did understood why he worried so much.

The Wedding Day had arrived.
Penelope looked at herself in the mirror and smiled. She was about to marry her best friend and she was excited. Mark was such an amazing man and she was lucky that they became friends right away. Him loving her kids was a bonus. The ceremony would take place in her backyard. She wanted it to be a small and cozy wedding.
There was a knock on the door to Penelope's master bedroom and she opened it.
"Hey Pen," Alvez said.
"You need to leave." She said seriously.
"Just wanted a second with you." He said.
Penelope moved aside and let him in. He closed the door behind him and walked towards her leaving only a few feet between them.
"Don't marry him." She scoffed and she was going to walk away from him but he stopped her. "Penelope please."
"I cannot believe you Luke. You are married. Your wife is outside with the rest of the guests. What are you doing?"
"Baby please I…"
"Stop it. I love you. You are the father of my children but I want to be with Mark. He doesn't make excuses for why he can't be with me. He doesn't hide me. He is proud to show me off anywhere and everywhere. He wants me and has done everything in his power to show me how much he loves me and how much we need each other in our lives. Now either leave the wedding or stay quiet and be there for the sake of our children. But we are done talking about this. You had your chance. If you wanted to be with me you would have done something about it before I moved back here. You had so many chances Luke." Penelope said seriously but with a tinge of sadness.
"Penny…"
"I'm serious Luke. Don't make it worse or embarrass yourself."
Alvez sighed and nodded. "Dammit I know. I'm sorry Penelope."
Penelope sighed and nodded.
There was another knock on the door and Grace opened it not surprised in the slightest that Alvez was in the room with Penelope. "It's time."
"Thank you." Penelope smiled.
Grace watched Penelope leave and then looked at Alvez. "You really missed your chance Luke. Now let her get her happy ending." She said and left.

Penelope walked down the small pathway and winked at Mark as she made her way to him.
"You look amazing!" He whispered.
"I love you." She whispered back.
"I love you back." Mark smiled.
The quads looked in excitement as their mother married Mark.
Dawn glanced at Luke and glared. The way he was looking at Penelope pissed her off. He never looked at her like that. She always suspected there was more between them but she could never prove it and he always denied it. He always told her that she had nothing to worry about. And yet here he was looking at Penelope and Mark with so much jealousy and anger. She was trying to keep it cool in front of everyone but she was definitely going to talk to him when they got back home.
