Prologue

Many eons ago. Before God brought light to the world, a god that matched him in both strength and power had already been born on the earth. This being was made entirely out of Chakra, a raw energy force that flooded the earth. Before God brought light to the world, he took all that energy and focused it into a single tree. This tree bore a single fruit made from the dense chakra. As for the being made of Chakra, he took on a form, at the time he was one of a kind, he looked like what is now known as a fox, but with nine long powerful tails. He was called Kyuubi by God, a sort of nickname, while his actual name was Kurama.

After making all the mountains, trees, rivers, oceans, and animals God had made two attempts at creating man. The first attempt was human like but with animal features, similar to Kyuuibi, fox features. When created, they were told not to eat of the chakra fruit or the forbidden fruit. The forbidden fruit would give them knowledge of good and evil, something that God did not want his creations to know, but also gave them free will. The chakra fruit was dangerous because it contained raw chakra, and the creator did not know what that would do to his creations.

While the man Izanagi and woman Izanami did not partake in the forbidden fruit, they did eat of the chakra fruit, not seeing the harm and posed. It did not destroy his creations but it did change them. With the raw chakra coursing through them, they had ascended to the level of a god. These two would come to be known as the Shinto gods. God was upset with them and disowned them, casting them out of Eden. From there God created Adam and Eve, but that is another story all together.

Kurama, not seeing the harm the two poised to his friend, took Izanagi and Izanami in and showed them how to use their new powers. The two had five children, their first born was a girl Ameterasu, their second was their first-born son, Fujin, third, also a boy, Hachiman, fourth, a boy as well, Ebisu, and their fifth was their second girl Inari. Kurama had similar powers to God, while he could not create from just dirt and bone, he could infuse his chakra into beings. He chose several animals to do this with, thus creating the Yokai. The Yokai not only worshiped Kurama, referring to him as Kyuubi, but also Izanagi and Izanami and their children as Gods. The Yokai had chakra and could use it in various ways. It's not known officially as to when it happened, but some of Gods creations, now known by the name Humans, laid with Yokai, creating human Yokai hybrids that could use Chakra and taking on minimal features of the Yokai parent. Weather it was ears, whiskers, or even just eyes they also gained the ability to use Chakra. From there these children when grown and laid with humans as well would produce children with less Yokai characteristics, but still able to use Chakra. Soon a small but constant five percent of humans had the ability to use chakra.

Even with all the cross breeding, Kyuubi and God remained friends. They would occasionally get together and spar. They had to be careful though because the two could very much destroy everything that was created. However, from their fights, the power of Chakra and holy energy remained in the air, something the two did not know until it was too late. From this energy output a beast was created. A beast that could rival the two great beings that could feed on both holy energy and Chakra to gain more power. This beast became known as 'Apocalypse' for he would bring to end all life on earth. By the time God and Kurama discovered what they had created it was too late. Apocalypse had grown in power and was set to destroy all life on earth. It took the combined might of Kurama, God, Lucifer (the first Devil), and their armies to even seal the beast away. It was too strong to be killed, and even sealing it took a lot out of the two powerful creators. Kurama, once rested would be fine, for he could absorb the natural energy of the earth and rebuild his chakra. God on the other hand was severely weakened.

It was at this point that God created weapons for humans that could help them deal with some of the creatures that were left behind by the beast. These were known as Sacred gears, two were more powerful than any other, the Boosted Gear and the Devine Dividing created from two powerful Dragons. These weapons would be blessed to humans at random. Even though they did an excellent job at the sealing the beast, God still knew that one day the seal would weaken and the beast would be free. The Sacred Gears doubled as his contingency plan for the beast.

Kurama also knew that one day he would be needed to beat the beast, so he had a group of Yokai known as the Uzumaki seal him within one of them. This way he could loan his power to his vessel and help them with the potential battle. This would also allow him to build and grow his power, so that later down the line he could match even defeat the beast.

As it went Kurama would go from host to host when the host was deemed to be near their end of life. This went on for many years. Up until sixteen years ago.

That day was not unlike other days. This day was when a family was about to grow by one. On the island in which the Uzumaki clan called home, one Uzumaki Kushina, a pure breaded fox yokai and current vessel of Kurama was giving birth. The proud father to be, Namikaze Minato, was one of the humans within that five percent that could use chakra.

The two met through Kushina's father Uzumaki Jiraiya. He had taken Minato in as his apprentice. He taught the man everything he knew about seals, and the art of using chakra. During his time training, he spent a lot of time with Kushina, it wasn't long before the two fell in love. In that love they were blessed with a son.

It was on this day, October tenth, that the boy decided he wanted to be in the world. However, on that day a plot had started. A plot that started with releasing a very angry god, on an innocent clan…

"The great god Kyuubi, he's been released!" A villager shouted. However, he was soon taken out by falling debris. The giant nine tailed fox was thrashing across the village. He was not in control of his actions rather being control by a nefarious plotter. During birth the seal that held Kurama was weaken, it was during this part one of the plot was completed, release the Kyuubi, part two was to kill the child born of the Kyuubi vessel. He would have succeeded, if it were not for Minato, the yellow flash, being quicker than lightning stopped the man from killing his son.

"Damn it!" The masked man shouted, seeing that the man, woman and child were gone. "I lost my one chance at killing that brat."

"Why would you want to kill our son?" Minato had come back after the man's curse. He had, in one swift motion, saved his son, returned him to his weak wife, taken the two to safety and returned ready for a fight.

"I need to kill him, I have to kill him, if I don't I would fail my master. I have never failed my master." The mask man engaged Minato in a battle.

"Who is your master? Why do you need to do any of this?" Minato asked while blocking the mans strikes.

"Never mind that, where is the child?"

"I would rather die than let you harm my son."

"If that is how it should be, then it will become so." They engaged into a fierce battle.

On the other side of the island the small force of warriors, known as Ninjas, were trying in vain to subdue their god. This was not like the being.

"Everyone, subdue him!" Yelled the old leader. He pointed with his staff at the large beast as other Yokai tried to launch their attacks. "We must get him back to his senses. Before he destroys us all."

Minato had won he stood over him. "I don't know who you are, but you've lost."

"Are you sure about that? I may not have killed the child, but I did complete one task." Minato had a look of shock and horror, he looked behind him to finally see that Kyuubi had managed to destroy the village. He turned back at the man with anger in his eyes. He was too late in severing the control the man had on the beast. Soon the island will be destroyed. "You and the child will be dead shortly."

"Kushina…" Minato disappeared from the corpse and appeared by his wife's side. She was weak. The child birth was hard on her let alone trying to withstand Kyuubi being ripped from her.

"Mi..na..to" She could barely speak.

"Kushina, save your energy. I…I need Naruto." He could tell by the look on her face that she had questions. "Listen, I will take some of your chakra and use it, but I need to seal Kyuubi in our son." She slowly shook her head no, she did not want her son to go through that, she could still hold the Kyuubi, or so she would have argued if she could speak. "I'm sorry, but if what I learned tonight is true, our son will need his help in the future." He fought back tears as he took his son from his wife's weak grasp. "He will be fine. Sensei will look after him and I will make sure he has my last name to keep him safe." He kissed his wife on her fore head, taking some of her chakra for later use. She began to sob, knowing that she could not see her son again. Minato could see in her eyes that she had so much to tell him. "Don't worry, you will see him again one day." He vanished.

Kurama looked in horror at what he had done. Hundreds of his faithful subjects were now dead because of him. No because of that man that took control of him. He would see to it that the masked man would die a slow and painful death. He then felt chakra and a presence beneath him. He looked down and saw a human with a small bundle in his arms. The last survivors. "Minato? Where is Kushina?" He saw the grave look in his vessel's husbands' eyes. "That man will pay dearly for this, where is he?"

"He's dead Lord Kyuubi, I killed him."

"Well done, I hoped he died painfully."

"He did, but he told me some troubling news regarding you and my son." He gestured to the bundle in his arms.

"Is that Naruto?" He got lower to see the child and sniff it, the baby, unaware at the deity before him, laughed and smiled. "He looks just like you." The sentence was full of paternal love. Kurama had helped Kushina with the baby. She had been his first vessel that bore a child. So, he saw Naruto as one of his own.

"Yes." Minato smiled, but grew serious. "We don't have much time, I need to seal you within him. That man spoke of a master that wishes him dead, he'll need your power to keep him safe."

"I understand." Kurama nodded.

Minato summoned a toad; she was a small toad with purple like hair styled in a perm wearing a robe. She saw Kyuubi and gasped at seeing the deity.

"Minato-chan what has happened, why is Lord Kyuubi here? Where is the Uzumaki village?" The toad asked looking around.

"Oba-chan there is no time to explain everything. I need to seal Lord Kyuubi in Naruto straight away. Then I need you to take him to Sensei."

"Right." She understood.

"Are you ready Lord Kyuubi?"

"Minato, call me Kurama, and yes I am."

"Okay, Kurama." Minato smiled, he proceeded with the sealing that demanded the sacrifice of the user's soul to do so. That is why he had called Ma here; he knew he would not be able to get Naruto to Jiraiya.

His body slumped to the ground; Naruto cried as his belly burned showing the seal of the Uzumaki proving that he had Kurama sealed within him. Ma, with sadden eyes, picked up Naruto and disappeared in a cloud of smoke. Just then the ground crumbled and ocean water gushed to the surface. All of the island was being swallowed by the ocean, and all the bodies and any survivors along with it.
