"Hey, brother! Hey, furry friend! Hey, scoundrel!"
Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Chewbacca halted the pleasantries they were having upon hearing someone address them in her unique way. They instantly knew who it was before they even turned around to face her. Upon spotting the person who had spoken to them from the doorway, different expressions crossed the two young heroes faces.
"Hey, Leia." Luke smiled, happy to see his beloved twin sister.
"What's up, Princess?" Han smirked, pretending he wasn't a bit bothered to see his girlfriend.
"Rawr!" Chewie roared, also pleased to see the beautiful princess.
Leia stepped into the room, raising an eyebrow at her significant other. "May I remind you I'm not just any princess, Han?"
"Oh no?" Han scoffed. "I fail to see how that is, Leia, seeing as we first met when you got kidnapped and needed Luke and I to rescue you!"
"Only for me to take charge of my own rescue!" Leia reminded him. "No other princess has ever done that!"
"She's got a point there..." Luke nudged Han. "She did lead us through the carnage on the Death Star..."
"She sure did!" Han huffed. "And straight into a garbage chute!"
Chewie growled, shuddering at the unpleasant memory of nearly being crushed to dust.
"That may be true," Leia agreed, "but I didn't panic one bit while we were down there, did I?"
"No, you didn't panic, but you did compla-" Han began, but was prevented from finishing the word he had to say as the Princess shot him a threatening glare. "No, you're right! You're right! You didn't panic one bit, Princess."
"Panicking is not in my nature," Leia said proudly. "I held my ground when I was faced with Darth Vader threatening to terminate me while I was being held prisoner."
"And while Jabba the Hutt had captured you," Luke reminded her. "You didn't show any fear that whole time he had you leashed to his side!"
"That I did! I faced up to that repulsive slimy filth and used the very chain he had put on me to kill him!" Leia smiled as she thought back on one of her proudest moments before facing Han again. "All so this princess could rescue you!"
"Alright alright, I'll give you credit where it's due!" Han held his hands up in defeat. "You're one very brave princess!"
"You better believe it!" Leia answered before turning to smile at her brother and the wookie, knowing they would back her up as she gave them a wink.
"That's right." Luke grinned as he nodded. "You sure are very brave and fearless, sis."
"Rawr!" Chewie agreed.
The smile on Leia's face widened with pride while Han rolled his eyes, not pleased with his furry partner and the young Jedi encouraging the young princess.
At that moment, a bleeping noise filled the air, joined by the sound of wheels rolling on the floor. The heroes halted their chitchat to listen to it with shared surprised. They averted their puzzled looks towards the open doorway - just in time to see something entering the room.
"ARRRGGGHHH!"
A terrified shriekd erupted from Leia, instantly startling her friends. They turned to see the princess' face had gone white with fear. The princess quickly scrambled up onto a nearby table. She stood on top of it while trembling in terror as her wide eyes fixed onto what had entered the room.
"Hey, hey!" Han cried. "What gives?! What are ya doing?!"
"What's the matter, Leia?" Luke asked, showing more concern for his sister than her boyfriend was.
"It's a... It's a..."
Leia could barely get her voice to leave her throat from how petrified she was. Raising a trembling hand, she pointed down towards what had entered the room and sent her into such a state.
"A mouse droid!"
Han's jaw fell open while Luke's face scrunched up. Even Chewie was giving a baffled look over what they were hearing. They all looked down towards the black box on wheels. None of them could believe that of all the things the stubborn, fiesty, independent princess had faced during their adventures, this was the one thing that succeeded to scare her.
"You're afraid of a mouse droid?" Luke exclaimed. "Really, Leia?"
"Yes! Yes!" Leia squealed, her knees shaking. "I don't like it! Save me! Save me!"
"Oh don't worry, Princess! We'll save you from the nasty scary mouse droid!" Han was barely able to stifle the amused snicker he was trying to hold in. "Would you like me to blow it to bits with my blaster or should Luke carve it up with his lightsaber?"
"Noooooo!" Leia cried. "Don't destroy it!"
"Don't destroy it?" Luke repeated, confused. "But you don't like-"
"I know I don't like it!" Leia's voice was nearly raising the roof over how she was taking some control over her own rescue again. "Just get Chewie to chase it away!"
"Fine!" Han shrugged before turning to face his hairy sidekick. "Chewie, get rid of that mouse droid. Will ya, pal?"
"Rawr!"
Happy to help the princess, Chewie growled obediently before running towards where the mouse droid was. The skittish little robot bleeped with terror before rolling away along the floor. The wookie roared fiercely as he chased it out of the room, wanting to make sure it would never come back to scare Leia again.
Seeing that the Wookie had successfully disposed of what was frightening his sister, Luke peered up to where she stood on the table. "It's okay, Leia. It's gone now."
"Yeah!" Han smirked. "The horrible scary box on wheels won't be coming for you any more, Princess."
Leia barely took any notice of Han as she placed her hand in Luke's. She allowed her brother to help her down from the table, grateful that at least he was not making fun of her.
"I never would have guessed that's what it would take to scare someone as brave as you, Leia," Luke exclaimed in his surpirse. "You've bravely faced up to a tryrant in dark mask and a giant gangster slug..."
"Yeah, but an itty bitty little mouse droid... That's enough to scare our so-called fearless princess!"
Unable to control himself for any longer, Han burst out into loud laughter - which only lasted a few seconds as Leia cut him off - but irritably smacking him around the back of his head. The young smuggler let out a cry from the blow delivered to him by the princess while Luke watched with wide eyes.
"That'll teach you to laugh at me," Leia hissed as she scowled at her boyfriend. "You scruffy-looking nerfherder."
Han clenched his teeth upon hearing Leia using the degrading insult she had hurled at him before. His hand rubbed the spot where she had struck him - before hearing some chuckling coming from Chewie. He shot the scowl on his face towards his amused partner, preparing to use a term he had used previously on the Wookie.
"I'll teach you to laugh at me..." he muttered bitterly. "Fuzzball!"
The end.
