Chapter Two
A Nice Meal and Drink at Mr. Fang's
Listening to Vampirella's directions while running at high speed, Sonic arrived in the very familiar cityscape of Central City and screeched to a stop on a nearby sidewalk right by the road, before gently setting down his fang-y new companion. "You know how to run fast, sweetie." Vampirella commented.
"Hence why they call me the Fastest Thing Alive." The blue hedgehog replied with a grin as he flexed his muscles. Sonic and Vampirella then walked down the sidewalk with the speedster following the vampire alien's lead as she led him to a very fancy restaurant close by.
"Our nearby destination will be where we shall have our drink and meal." The alien vampire said, pointing at the building with the sign that read: Mr. Fang's Central City Bar Diner, Open Every Week.
"Mr. Fang's, huh?" Sonic remarked, "I guess that's some kind of food n' drink establishment run by a guy who's either into vampires or is a vampire himself?"
"Mr. Fang is a vampire who's been in business for a long time," Vampirella explained, "I come here very often when I'm visiting this city, it's the best."
"Then what are we waitin' for? I'm up for some chili dogs."
As they approached the front door, Vampirella told the blue hedgehog that Mr. Fang's did serve chili dogs, greatly exciting Sonic since that was his favorite food. She pushed open the door and they walked inside to vampire music playing, disco lights and people dancing.
"Quite the establishment." The blue blur commented, taking in the spacious area with the colorful lights, waiters in cloak-like outfits serving food and both humans and anthropomorphic animals attending the restaurant just dancing away while a handful dug into nicely made meals.
"One of my favorites." Vampirella said, "Now let's find our seat."
The two made their way through commotion with a few people taking notice to Sonic and asking for his autograph at various points. This lasted until the two found a nice table and nice chairs, once they were comfortable, Vampirella called up a waiter. One look at the man and Sonic figured out that this was Mr. Fang.
"And how may Mr. Fang's be of service this evening?" The vampire waiter asked in a French accent, he noticed Sonic, "Ah, zis must be ze vorld's famous Sonic ze Hedgehog, ze von who stood up to ze wicked Doctair Eggman zo much. Good evening to you as well, Ms. Vampirella."
Vampirella made the order for Sonic, nicely requesting that he have Chili Dogs and that they would all have 'the great wine'. After Mr. Fang left, Sonic asked her if she wanted a chili dog herself and if she'd ever tasted one. Vampirella giggled, "I have and I see why you like them, but I like hot dogs... and meat." She whispered.
"So, how many folks on this planet are vampires?" Sonic questioned.
"Not very much, Mr. Fang and I are a few examples of vampires on this planet."
"But how long have you been watching me and how long have you been here?"
"I've been watching you since one of your adventures, you might say I have observed you from afar throughout almost every single one that you've had, save for a few. Which of your adventures is my favorite? I almost have no idea; I've witnessed so many events on this planet and most of them didn't even involve you."
"There are some you may have missed, tho', like my adventures in the world of the Arabian Nights and the world of King Arthur. I think you also might have missed my one trip to space where I saved some cute aliens."
Vampirella just chuckled, "I still observed you from afar when you saved South Island, met that two tailed boy, fought a water monster and a giant dragon and saw a few of your... Werehog transformations. And yes, I did observe your friends' activities as well."
"How did you react when Eggman blew up half the moon?"
"Let's just say, I was shocked, but I knew you'd stop him."
"Did you also my Extreme Gear activities including the world Grand Prix?"
"Of course I did, handsome. Like I said before, I've been watching you."
"Can you tell me more about your planet and why you left it before coming to Earth as well as the things you did besides spy on me?"
"I could later, if you're interested."
"C'mon, V, don't be so secretive."
Before Vampirella could say anything, Mr. Fang returned with their drinks and meal; Two glasses full of red liquid and two separate plates, one with chili dogs and one with steak.
"Your meal and drinks, madam Vampirella et monsieur Sonic." Mr. Fang said, clasping his hands together and bowing politely like a Japanese ninja warrior.
After the vampire waiter/restaurant-pub-bar owner left, Sonic and Vampirella picked up their glasses with Vampirella making a toast to the blue hedgehog, who toasted her back as they clicked their glasses together before taking a sip. As he took a sip, Sonic noticed that his wine tasted... very, very interesting.
It tasted sugary, like sugar water with Pepsi combined. There was something about that drink, he just couldn't put his finger on what it was. Regardless, he started to eat his chili dogs just as Vampirella was aggressively digging into her steak the way a carnivore would dig into its meal.
Heck, most vampires were like carnivores. She also had manners too, Vampirella made sure not to make a mess while she was eating. This pleased Sonic, he liked a clean eater. The hedgehog also made sure to take a drink between bites, not wanting to choke on his chili dogs.
"How do you like the wine?" Vampirella asked, she'd just finished her steak and wine and had been observing as the hedgehog drank his wine and ate his chili dog meal.
"It... tastes nice." The speedster said with a nod, "Real nice."
"That's perfect."
After the two had finished their meal, they gave Mr. Fang a tab and left the establishment, hand in hand. Sonic was so intrigued by the wine he'd drank, he had to ask, "That wine tasted real good, what kind of wine was that?"
The female vampire whispered in his ear, "The wine you drank is what some people call The Blood of Vampires." Sonic was astonished and surprised, he'd just drank vampire's blood? Or was it what the wine was called? Either way, it made him more curious, especially since he was dealing with vampires.
"I actually drank vampire blood?" The hedgehog asked, "Vampire blood that tasted good? How does that work? Was it really blood or was it wine?"
Vampirella giggled, "That was wine you drank, wine made from normal wine, vampire blood and water. Mix it all together and you get the special drink we all call the Blood of Vampires. What makes the drink special is that, when drank by a non-vampire like you, it slightly enhances you a bit without turning you into a vampire."
Sonic began to think about that for a second, noticing he felt warmer than ever before. He felt his entire world and universe view begin to expand and he looked at Vampirella, she looked more prettier than ever. He looked at his hands and flexed his muscles, feeling as if he'd just gotten a bit stronger.
"Well?" The vampire girl asked, "How do you feel?"
"I feel..." The hedgehog blinked; his eyesight had just become stronger than it was before he'd drank the Blood of Vampires. He then looked at himself in a mirror and smiled, seeing that his teeth looked nicer and his eye color was looking great as well. Sonic put away the mirror and said, "I feel great, more awesome than ever before."
"Hearing that makes my heart flutter with joy." Vampirella proclaimed happily, she gracefully twirled around the blue hedgehog and held out her hand, "Come, let us spend more time together. Let us walk in the moon light, let us embrace one another, for we are brought together by destiny."
Sonic, looking forward to hanging out with this girl, gladly took Vampirella's hand and kissed it in a charming way. The two walked off, hand in hand, with the hedgehog asking the unearthly girl if he could introduce her to some of his friends. "I would be delighted to meet your friends," The lovely alien vampire replied with a wink.
