Chapter Five

Together In the Bonds of Love

Somewhere in an unknown location, a dark figure held a crystal ball as he watched through it as the blue hedgehog and the shapely humanoid vampire girl made out romantically. A cold smile was upon his face, his eyes glowing a terrifying orange red in the darkness.

"The vampire and the hedgehog." The dark one said, he set down the crystal ball, "How amusing they just don't know it yet, but they will soon know of what is to come. Ah, so many people remain oblivious to what's coming.

"Soon, when the time comes, I will emerge from the shadows and all will be mine for the taking. For now, it is best to quietly plan my move. The day will come, I will emerge and everything will come to fruition as I have planned it."

The dark figure cackled and moved deeper into the shadows...

It had been several moons since their first kiss and over half a year had passed since they first met. But now, Sonic was ready for the big night that he and Vampirella had been preparing for. He couldn't wait, everything had played out perfectly well and nothing had gone wrong.

Whatever the future had in store for them, whatever paths they took, the nearly nineteen-year-old hedgehog was unconcerned. As far as he and V were concerned, their future would be a bright one despite the challenges coming their way, despite the chances that there would be serious evil threats ready to rise and attack any time.

As Sonic woke from a nice afternoon nap beneath a tree after fighting Eggman again, he breathed in the nice dusk air and checked time on his new fang watch that Vampirella had given him. It was almost sundown; the time was approaching fast. Fast was his middle name...

Looking at the map and knowing where to go, the speedster did some stretching. Then he looked at himself in a mirror and then dashed off at light speed, taking almost a minute and a half to reach the large canyon located miles away. This was the place, the Valley of the Vampire Moon.

Somewhere in the canyon itself, Vampirella was waiting for him and Sonic knew where her location was. Not worrying about a thing as the sun set behind the hills and the stars emerged, he zipped down the hill and into the canyon below at top speed, racing along cliff walls, jumping over rocks and dodging huge pits.

The blue hedgehog still wore his red shoes and white gloves, but he wore a nice bow tie for the event would be quite something. Sonic wasn't even nervous, he was hardly nervous except for some occasions, he was full of emotion and energy.

He swerved around to avoid rocks coming down, jumped to evade wild wolves emerging to attack and dodged any hazards that served as a challenge in the canyon. Sonic could see the exit just ahead, just a little further. He mustered all of his strength until he was double boosting.

Sonic rocketed out of the crazy canyon and out into a large open field full of gnarled trees and black plants, somewhere ahead, the building awaited and so did she. But first, the hedgehog had to run another mile. Just when it looked like he wasn't going to have a major challenge, the big challenge appeared.

The ground ahead burst open and a huge monster with scales, horrifying eyes, hulking arms and sharp teeth emerged, roaring and howling like a wolf. The vampire drakon had emerged, according to Vampirella, vampire drakons had been created by the vampire lord Bah'roga to serve as a challenge.

Always eager for a challenge, battle ready, the speedster charged the vampire drakon and jumped out of the way when it spat venom at him and tried to smash him like a bug. Sonic ran around the beast so fast, the vampire drakon was slow to find where he was... until the hedgehog ran up his body.

'KRYAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHRRRRRRR!' The titanic monster bellowed and thrashed around in an attempt to throw Sonic off, but the hedgehog was fast and formidable and found the weak spot, a fleshy horn on its head. Launching a homing attack, Sonic attacked the horn and it eventually exploded.

The vampire drakon roared in pain and fell over. Sonic jumped down, doing the superhero landing as he usually did just as the giant monster's eyes went dark and the creature disintegrated into ashes, leaving a scale and tooth behind. Picking up the tooth and then the scale, Sonic thought about what he'd done, almost feeling sorry that he'd ended the life of the beast.

He took off at high speed again, nothing getting in his way or emerging to stop him. Just up ahead, a huge building loomed. This was it, the Lunar Temple, an ancient vampire church dating back thousands of years. This was where many were blessed, where vampires did services and weddings took place. This was the place where the big one would happen.

Coming within just ten feet of the vicinity, Sonic stopped to look up at the huge structure as it cast a large shadow over him. Then the door opened and, she was there, waiting for him. Vampirella looked dazzling, wearing a revealing robe. "I have come, my love." Sonic proclaimed, approaching the vampire and getting on his knee, taking her hand and kissing it.

"Welcome, Sonic." Vampirella said as lightning seemed to flash in the sky, "We've been watching and we are impressed with your gallant courage, do you have the fang and the scale?"

Sonic brought out the items, giving them to her and Vampirella accepted them, gesturing for him to follow her inside where it would begin. The hedgehog obeyed, cold chills running down her back even as the vampire alien's beauty gave off a reassuring vibe that all would be fine.

Large statues of robed figures loomed over, casting shadows within the large hall as Sonic entered the room, noticing the statues and feeling like he was being observed by vampire deities. A pipe organ played a dramatic tune, smoke billowed and torches burned. Moonlight shone in through stained-glass windows.

He followed his vampire fiancé to the heart of the cathedral, seeing an empty altar just ahead and taking notice to a pool of red liquid sitting in the middle, mere feet from the altar. A cloaked figure stepped out of the shadows, throwing back his hood and revealing a face Sonic thought he recognized.

The man had brown hair, blue eyes and a dark beard and, for one minute, the speedster nearly thought he was looking into the face of a famous horror movie actor famous for playing a vampire king. Then again, it was probably a coincidence and didn't matter anyway.

"I am Ba'ron Vawn Munfeng." The man said as he spread out his arms dramatically, his voice sounding as if he was speaking through an old 1940-1950s microphone, "The Great Vampire Vicar of many worlds. Tonight, we have gathered to join two souls, one vampire and one non vampire, in a symbolic bond."

Munfeng pointed his finger to Sonic and nodded to Vampirella, "The ritual begins, step forward into the essence of the vampires, brave one." Vampirella whispered in a nervous Sonic's ear that this man was the one conducting and overseeing the first half of the ceremony.

Swallowing his nervousness, the blue hedgehog took his shoes and gloves off and stepped forward, setting foot in the pool of liquid that almost looked like blood. Sonic stood in the middle, then he kneeled as the vicar put his hand over him and declared, "You are brave and worthy, deserving of the lovely Vampirella."

Next thing he knew, the hedgehog seemed to be baptized and bathed in the essence of vampires, a voice in his mind seemingly assuring him that he was being blessed with fortune, both him and Vampirella. The vicar told him to stand and take Vampirella's hand, the hedgehog exited the liquid and took her hand.

Both of them walked around the essence of the vampires to the altar, nearing the priest and what looked like a stone obelisk, surrounded by torches. Munfeng seemed to smile just a bit before his face went back to its melodramatic serious look, asking Sonic if he accepted Vampirella as his... wife.

"I, Sonic the Hedgehog, will love this woman and comfort her in times of sorrow." The speedster replied, making his vow, "I promise to look after her and be loyal to her as long as we are alive and I will share my adventures with her. We are inseparable, I love this woman with all of my heart and I accept her as my woman."

Holding back tears in her eyes, Vampirella said she would care for Sonic and love him unconditionally, promising to help him if he needed it. The two of them held hands tightly as the dramatic pipe organ music echoed across the room and the light of the moon and the torches seemed to intensify.

Munfeng snapped his fingers and, the next thing Sonic knew, a golden ring was upon his finger on his left hand and another appeared on Vampirella's hand on her middle finger. Wearing the ring on his finger, the fast hero was almost reminded of his adventures with Sharah when he last had a ring on his finger.

This time, it was different, this ring was no genie ring. Sonic had just married the most attractive human-looking woman in the cosmos. The vampire vicar became consumed by black smoke, but before vanishing, he said, "You are now united by love as husband and wife. Take care of each other!"

Once the robed man vanished, Vampirella gestured to Sonic to sit upon the obelisk and the hedgehog did so, watching as she undid her robes and let them drop. Sonic's eyes widened as he took in the scene of his alien mate wearing a skimpy red outfit resembling some type of bikini.

Vampirella approached her newlywed hedgehog husband, a seductive smile on her face. "It's time for the main event." She said sweetly, "But first, I think we forgot something, could you turn around for me, darling?" Sonic sat up and turned his back to her, before he knew it, she was sinking her fangs into his neck.

The hedgehog rubbed the back of his neck after his newlywed had retracted her fangs, feeling a bit sore from the bite. "Oh yeah," The speedster muttered, "I know that vampires are supposed to leave their mark on folks, should've done that sooner, but at least we took care of it now."

Her smile widening, the vampire made the hedgehog lay back down on his back and straddled him. "Now, we can get to the fun part." Vampirella said as she began rubbing her large womanly cleavage in Sonic's face in a seductive manner, "I've been waiting so long for this. Are we ready, dear?"

Sonic seemed to be getting excited by the second, he nodded as his tail started to wag and his hormones shot through the roof. Vampirella lay atop him and pressing her shapely body against the hedgehog's muscular body, allowing him to feel his wife's enormous bosoms against his manly torso while she placed her hands on the side of Sonic's head.

The two newlyweds began to kiss with fierce passion and their eyes closed a bit and they moaned softly while Vampirella stroked Sonic's chest and the hedgehog briefly groped her butt cheeks. Then, as Sonic started to grasp Vampirella's slender hips and we fade to black, the love-making began...
