Chapter 6: The Calming Waters

Beacon was ready to not only hit the second semester, but fall as well. This brought many interests and attention to it, as Beacon was the host this time around for the Vytal Festival, to which the town and Vale itself was prepping for. Many towns, businesses, and such were ready to welcome those who traveled to either participate or simply watch in person.
It was a big festival, and one that helped showed the unity of Remnant. Of course, this also allowed upcoming Huntsmen and Huntresses to show off and possibly be picked up by either pros or sponsors to assist them.
During this, a blue bird-like kaiju began roaming around the nearby forest, curious at the incoming bullheads and ships. While this Kaiju sat there, it knew to only watch as it was resetting from a recent attack from its mortal enemy. The kaiju would've helped from the past few attacks, but it had to recover. Knowing that an Ultraman was here, did help lighten the load of it, meaning it could recover and rest more for now.
"Lidorias? You there?" A sweet voice called out, earning its attention as walking in with a few carts of food was the student, Velvet. The young Faunus smiling as she sees the Kaiju, "Ah, you are! I'm glad to hear it."
It soon accepted the Faunus' meal, eating it up as Velvet looked on with a smile. The young Faunus had known this Kaiju for most of her life, as it rescued her one day when a few large Grimm attacked her hometown. Worried she would perish among others, the Kaiju saved her and the town.
Since then, she has been mostly appointed by Vale to keep watch and help the Kaiju out. This was one of many benevolent Kaijus that existed in Remnant. Some were protectors of certain towns or lands, while others were more of simply helping out, and Lidorias was another kind soul that simply wanted to help.
Velvet accepted this, as she would travel to its small island outside of Beacon to visit it and help out. Though with it still recovering from its last trip, she had to make sure the wound was healing right and there was no infection, even if its Aura would protect it.
The bunny Faunus checked over the wounds, seeing how it was doing well with the medicine she applied to it, as she sighed in relief.
"Looks like you may only have one more week to recover before you can go out again, Lidorias." She said with a smile.
Lidoras soon cooed as Coco and the rest of Team CFVY arrived to check on the bunny Faunus.
"Heh, should've expected that you'd visit your friend, Velvet." Coco smiled, as she tilted her shades down a bit with a wink.
CFVY had also learned about it, when they formed their team last year. They were a bit surprised, yet happily accepted Velvet's role and the Kaijju, as even they would visit from time to time, showing off things that the Kaiju was interested in, since the lives of both Humanity and the Faunus were so interesting to it.
"So, ready to go?" the fashionista asked her partner.
"Mhm, just had to see if he wasn't out fighting again." Velvet nodded, gently slapping its fin, "Don't run off when you're injured like that, okay? I'll see you tomorrow."
As they left, deep in the forest, a large saurian kaiju with a protective shell on it's back that grew until it formed a horn at it's snout snarled at the bird-like kaiju. This time, it will fall….
(Insert Opening - Heroes - Ryota Fujimaki - Zero and Geed Chronicles)
A short, acoustic guitar begins to play, as images of Remnant, Ultraman, Huntsmen/Huntresses, and the Ultra/Kaiju Capsules begins to appear one by one, quickly as more instrumentals chime in.
[Hikari no naka de, Yami ga umarete, Ookiku hakari wo, Kuzushiteshimau toki]
It then shows Cody waking up, surrounded by a ruined city and galaxy as the young teen stood up, confused and wondering where he was as he looks around.
As he stayed there a faint whisper in his ear made him turn around, to only see Belial for a moment there, forcing him awake from his dream to reveal the people of Beacom Academy, with Ruby holding her hand out to him, before cutting away to the title card.
[Yamiyo ni sakebi, Chi wo hau monotachi, Machi wa kirisakare, Kizuna wa tatareru]
After the title vanishes the teen smiles as he tries to reach out before the bright colored field cracks and shatters, revealing that of Salem and the rest of her pawns behind her as the shadows of the Kaiju and Ultra Capsules followed by Belial as it's dangerous shadow loomed over him.
Cody, now scared, was about to back up until he felt Ruby's hand against him. Calming him down as he held up his Geed Riser before pressing on it and forming Geed, as it then charged into battle against the threat.
[Zero ni naru kakugo wa aru ka, Shimei wo eranda senshitachi]
It then looms over Cody, sitting in an alley as rain pours down on him hard. The young teen looking at the ground softly before he glances at his Ultra Capsules as Zero soon appears nearby before he then closes his eyes.
The screen then pans away and towards Ruby as she sits there on top of the building, the young teen glancing down to where Yang stood there, the young teen sighing softly with a smile before she jumped off and landed near her sister while Weiss just sighs heavily in the background.
[Machi wa kirisakare, Kizuna wa tatareru]
The screens then gains static as Blake stands there with Adam, growling in disgust of how the humans of this world are, causing him to turn to be greeted with Roman and the rest of the White Fang along with some tech before the group looked up to be greeted by several Kaiju summoned by Fukuide Kei. And while they stand there, Belial grins from his dimension as he plans his attack.
[Sakete wa toorenu tatakai e, Hikari wo obite]
Back at Beacon, Cody begins to walk around before the same colorful field surrounds him, causing him to look around to see Team Rwby and JNPR among others walking around him before they vanish into darkness, leaving the teen there. As the color fades off and shatters once more, the young teen floats around in space, only seeing death and destruction caused by Belial as the teens beings look down, only for Cody to see Kei using the systems in Remnant to cause chaos.
[Mae e mae e mae e...]
Cody called out to Ruby as he rushed ahead, being bombarded by the energy and darkness that the being is emitting as it pushes him away. The young girl also notices as she reaches out for him as he does the same, trying to take their hands before they grasp and a bright light where Geed Royal Mega Master stands there tall.
[Susume bokura no hero... Asahi ni inori akatsuki ni chikau]
Ultraman Geed then begins to battle against the Grimm along with the Kaiju, Belial Fusions and Belial himself as Zero backs him up. The two fight to save lives as Team RWBY and JNPR fight alongside them on the ground, dealing with the White Fang and Grimm as Cinder and Salem blast some darkness at the group.
[Heiwa no kane wo..., Narase hero...]
Geed then changes into its several Ultra Fusions, dealing with the Belial Fusions along with the teams as Ultraman Zero Beyond joins in the fray to help their comrades. They soon fight as a silhouette of Ultimate Finale stood behind Geed softly before fading away.
[Bokura wa anata kara, Hontou no yuki o shiru]
Geed and RWBY then team up to deal with Salem and Belial as the two duke it out over one another, with Geed dealing with Belial that has erased countless planets to Ruby unlocking her hidden power as their next attacks shatter reality.
[Tataeyo our hero, Tataeyo our hero~]
Cody then opens his eyes, showing himself now on the campus grounds, with his capsules in hand and Ruby nearby as he notices his friends now there, smiling at him. It brought a smile to the young teen's face as he looks back up to see a rainbow over them all before the title reveals one last time.
Within another class of Port, this time instead of Grimm Studying, it was that of Kaiju's. Most students either shrugged it off, thinking they too were just another set of monsters to face. But they were wrong, as most Kaijus are docile, only with a few being aggravated either due to Humans or Faunus causing problems, or a Grimm. Sometimes they would just be enraged due to things they themselves are still studying about.
'Reminds me of the Capsule Kaiju my dad uses…' Zero thought.
'Hm? Your dad had Capsule Kaijus?' Jaune questioned with surprise.
'Yeah. Even us Ultraman, know that not every Kaiju are evil and aggressive. Heck, one Ultra, Cosmos, lives on a planet full of them. He simply wants to have coexistence with Kaiju, though there are times he has to fight to stop them.'
'I bet he'd love it here…' the blonde Huntsman noted.
'Yeah, I think he too would enjoy Remnant, not only for the Kaiju here, but the Faunus too. He's a very kind hearted soul, only using force when needed.'
"Of course, while there are Kaiju's that protect certain towns, landmasses, and even simply shrines. There are a few out there known as 'Country Protectors'." Port informed, "Beacon itself has one, known as Lidorias."
"Then why didn't it help defend the past few attacks lately?" One student chimed in.
"Oh, it's been recovering from a devastating fight with its mortal enemy, Golmede. One of out very own, Velvet Scarlatina, has been keeping track and helping it with her team." Port informed. "Though, if I must be honest with how the past kaiji attacks have shown? It might've been too much for it to handle."
"Thank goodness we have that Ultraman now, huh?" One student chimed up.
Hearing this, made Cody smile softly, as it seemed some were slowly accepting him as a protector. This gave his team a smile as well, with Yang and Ruby patting his back or shoulder for support.
As they continued to study, with Cody teaching his friends how to read through parables, they soon finished Professor Port's class and headed towards the cafeteria.
"Finally… Food!" Nora chimed out, groaning with hunger. "I haven't eaten in years!"
"It's only been a few hours since breakfast, Nora." Ren said with a sigh.
"But that's like years for dogs!"
"Wait, you're saying you're a dog, Nora?" Jaune questioned.
This earned some chuckles from the two teams as they soon finished their food and soon they all entered into town. Upon their arrival, they see several changes to the town, posters, flags, and more.
"Hm? Is there some kind of festival happening?" Cody asked, as he wasn't aware of what the town was preparing for.
"Wait, you've never been to the Vytal Festival before?!" Ruby gasped.
"Man, I really pity how strict Glynda was on you…" Yang sighed.
"I know…." He sighed out.
"The Vytal Festival is a special tournament for every academy. It honors not only the past and future of those who want to be a Huntsmen or Huntress. But it also serves as a unity for everyone to come together." Weiss informed.
"So is that why you're taking note of their stats and weaknesses?" Yank asked.
"I'm just preparing myself so there are no surprises!" Weiss huffed.
"Come on, it's not like another Ultraman is gonna show up or something!" the blonde Huntress reassured her.
"I think she just wants a cheat sheet." Cody smirked with a chuckle, earning an embarrassed look from the heiress.
"I-I am most certainly not cheating!" She said with denial.
The rest soon chuckled before reaching a recently robbed Dust store, the police investigating the whereabouts of the thieves.
"Sixth time this week… These guys are sure getting on my nerves." One cop groaned out.
"Red Hat Gang and The White Fang? This is getting worse by the moment…" Another chimed in.
"Roman…" Cody frowned, as he remembered their first fight against that thief. Though from the corner of his eye, he also noticed Blake's reaction when they were talking about the White Fang. Did she have some connection to them?
"Somebody stop that kid!" someone shouted.
As the group turned, from the shore was a large ship, most likely to ship certain things from one kingdom to another. As from it came a young blonde man, with an opened white shirt, blue pants and… a tail?
Turns out, a monkey Faunus stowed away on the ship for some reason as he was now hanging upside down on a lamppost, peeling a banana to eat.
"No good stowaway!" one of the guards growled.
"Hey, a bad stowaway would've gotten caught. I'm a great stowaway." He chimed in, tossing the peel on the guards face before he leaped off and began to ran. Though, not without running past the group, and giving Blake a quick wink.
"After him!" Cody, sort-of understanding the situation, quickly shouted as he chased after the thief.
"Yes, we need to study- I mean, capture him!" Weiss chimed in, as the group soon began to chase after the Faunus.
As they gave chase, the quintet ran into a problem as Cody and Ruby collided into someone, as it knocked them down onto the ground, losing the running Faunus.
"Ah! Dang it, he got away!" Weiss said with a pout.
"You two okay, or is this some kind of new way to give someone affection?" Yang teased the two, snickering at it almost looked like the two were now hugging each other.
The pair quickly got up and stepped a good distance away of each other, bashful at the display.
"Y-You're imagining things!" They said in unison.
Yang soon gave Weiss a knowing look as the heiress decided to join in the teasing.
'Might as well get some payback for last week' she thought, "You know, I noticed that Ruby speak Cody's name while she was taking a nap…" the heiress mentioned.
"Y-You heard that?!" She gasped, only to blush on realizing she just confirmed that it did happen.
"Oh? So what was that of 'sweeping you off your feet'?" she chuckled.
"T-T-That was um…. We were… bungie jumping!" Ruby said, trying to deflect it.
Yang however shook her head as the two gave each other a knowing look, allowing Ruby to try and find more excuses to deflect what her dream was really about.
"Um.. guys? What about her?" Jaune asked, as the others turned back to see another girl, who was on the ground. Most likely the one they bumped into.
She had short, rather curly orange hair that came down to her chin with a small cowlick on top, and she wore a pink bow on the back of her head along bright green eyes, light skin, and freckles. Her attire consisted of an off white old-fashioned styled off the shoulder blouse with frill detailed trim and frill flared cuffs that half covered her hands alongside copper button detailing on the lower parts of her sleeves, a short gray pinafore dress with golden trim on the hem alongside four light green stalagmite styled stripes on the lower half of the dress, two on the front and two on the back, accompanied by two matching colored circles above the tips that had a stripe that ran around her waistline, with golden outlines, and a detachable black and light green collar, and finally a pair of black thigh-high leg pieces that seemingly were attached to black shoes.
"Oh! I'm so sorry we bumped into you! Are you alright?" Cody asked, as he was the first one to worry over the knocked down person.
The girl soon looked at them all, giving a soft smile, yet one that seemed… off…. "Yes, I am alright." She responded.
"Do you… want to get up?" Yang added.
The girl was silent for a bit before nodding, "Yes, I suppose I should." She said before leaning up and getting back onto her feet.
"Well um…. It was nice to meet you, friend. We best get going." Ruby chimed in as the others began to head off to find the Faunus.
"That was very weird…" Yang said to them.
"No kidding…" Jaune-Zero noted, observing the girl for a moment before joining the group.
Though as they walked away, the orange-haired girl stood there, a bit surprised from it.
"What… did she call me?"

Dusk was setting as the group couldn't find any trace of the Faunus, meaning whatever was going on with him, they now are just as lost as anyone else.
"So, anyone find him?" Cody asked as the group finished up their search.
"Nope…" Ruby shocked her head.
"I even tried to find him through the rooftops, nothing." Ren added.
"He might've been a ghost!" Nora grinned.
"Either that or he's one crafty son of a bitch if he can stay undetected for-" Zero-Jaune noted before getting smacked by Blake, "H-Hey! What did I do?!"
"Don't… just judge him because he was a stowaway…" She frowned at him.
"I was just commending the guy's stealth tactics, that's all!" the possessed Ultra said in his defense.
"Oh… sorry, Zero…" Blake apologized as she backed off.
'Yeesh, and here I thought Ace was a hardass…' Zero thought.
"Well, for now, I think we should head in. It's getting late, and who knows where the guy went? We can try again since we don't have class for a few more days." Yang noted.
"Sure!" Ruby said before turning around… to find the girl from before staring at her. "Waah! Where did you come from?!"
"Just now." The girl admitted.
"Oh… um… well… is there anything you want?" Ruby asked her.
"What did you call me?" she asked.
"Huh?" Ruby got out, confused.
"Something wrong?" Cody asked, walking over as he too saw the girl from before. "Hm? What brings you here?"
"She just popped out of nowhere! And is saying about something that I called her!" Ruby said with confusion.
"You didn't say anything mean, did ya?" He asked her. Ruby shook her head.
"Am I, am I really your friend?" the girl asked.
This caught their attention, as instead of something worrying it was more surprising.
"Huh? That's what this was about?" Cody questioned.
"Yes. Do you really call me… 'your friend'?" She asked once more.
Ruby and Cody turned to each other, before back the others as they were shaking their heads. They looked back before looking once more at the girl.
"Um.. well… I guess so?"
"Yeah, we both can be your friend." Cody smiled.
Zero-Jaune could only slap his face to his palm as the rest comically fell to the ground.
"Friends? Yay! We're friends!" The girl smiled, soon pulling both Ruby and Cody into a tight, rib crushing bear hug.
"GEH! Too… tight!" Cody grunted out.
The girl realized she was hugging them too much, as she let go, only to smile. "Well, friends! It's very nice to meet you. Salutations! I'm Penny Polendina!" She greeted them with a short salute.
"L-Likewise… Penny… I'm Cody Aldrich…" He introduced, grunting as he was trying to recover from the tight hug. "S-So, Penny… what are you doing in Vale?" the young Ultra asked.
"Oh, I'm competing in the Vytal Festival." She said openly.
"Wait, you're fighting in the tournament?" Weiss asked in disbelief.
"Yes, though it was mostly because of my father having to accept General Ironwood's proposal." Penny nodded.
"So you're from Atlas, then?" Blake noted.
She nodded before giving a salute, "I'm combat ready!" she declared.
"Of course you are…" Yang sweatdropped.
"Anywho, Penny. It's getting late and we need to head back to our dorms. We'll talk later, okay?" Ruby said, offering a soft smile to show they will talk again.
"Of course, rest well my friends." Penny smiled happily.
As the others soon head out, a limo pulled up behind Penny, having her turn her head as she sighed and headed in. Inside was an older man, with a metal plate on his head and a military outfit, as next to him was a screen that showed an elderly dark skin and short, balding white hair. He wears a green cap with oval-shaped glasses.
He wears a red vest over a cream shirt with a pink bowtie. His dark mustard pants and leather boots match with his cap and red-brown belt. He also was in a special chair to aid himself with movement. This chair is built to have four moveable legs, and is white and green in color, with yellow accents.
"Penny, how many times did we tell you not to run off?" The man in the video screen said, with worry in his voice.
"I'm sorry, father" she apologized.
"If you want to explore around Beacon, you will need a security team, until your partner arrives from Atlas." The military man stated. "This was the deal after all, I made with Pietro, after all. Otherwise you wouldn't be here yet."
She nodded before looking out the window.
"Speaking of, Professor. Have you found any reason or link due to her odd heat outage?" The military man asked.
The elderly man shook his head, "I'm sorry Ironwood, But I haven't. I still don't know how that is possible. It's not some internal outage or overheating. It's like… she has some pulse in her, resembling a heartbeat. I'll look more into it before the festival begins." Pietro stated.
"Very well. And Penny? Just remember, if you want to go off on your own… at least tell us, alright? I know you don't like those guards, but it is for your safety." Ironwoods stated, showing some wiggle room for her.
She nodded before thinking back to Cody and Jaune, namely the abnormal feelings they gave her.
'I…. wonder…. What they think of me if they found out…?' She pondered in her thoughts as she looked out to see the night sky slowly blooming into view.

As the two groups returned, Cody was doing his homework when he heard some loud voices coming from above. He was confused, as most people were asleep, and wondering if it was another late night session with Jaune and Pyrrha?
Out of curiosity, he stood up as he began to head off to find the voices and see what was going on? He soon went to the door and noticed the voices came from Team RWBY's dorm room. He figured something fun was up as he walked towards the door, knocking on it.
"Uhh, guys? You in there?" he called out.
However when he opened the door, he found himself on the rooftops of a strange city, and it was under attack by a kaiju, one that greatly resembled a blue and pink dragon.
"W-What the?!" He gasped, as he was confused, but knew something needed to be done. Yet when he went for his Riser, he only found nothing as it disappeared for him.
He soon saw something flying in the sky, it was a large mecha, as it made his eyes widen and smile brightly at this as, it was something he truly wanted to see happen in Remnant one day and even pilot it.
"You ain't taking another step forward!" the mecha roared as he charged forth to fight the monster, engaging the kaiju in a battle that Cody felt like he could only dream of seeing in real life, one of a mecha fighting against a kaiju in a knock-out brawl.
'So cool! I would love to pilot a mecha one day!' He thought as he watched the battle with glee.
However that wonder was soon replaced with fear as the dragon kaiju started to charge up something in his mouth. Determined to not let the attack finish, the mecha quickly moved into the beast's firing range, ejecting a large metal object from it's back.
"Oh? So it has a limited energy supply?" He noted.
Soon, the two titans struggled as the dragon kaiju fired out a fireball that got quickly deflected by the mecha's right hook… right towards the building that Cody was standing on.
"Crap, crap, crap, crap!" He shouted, soon covering his face, expecting to be hit by the fireball.
"WELL MAYBE WE'RE JUST TIRED OF BEING PUSHED AROUND!"
That voice soon woke Cody up from his dream. He quickly stood up, looking around to find himself in the RWBY dorm along with several papers and books around him. He remembered now, that he was studying with them, before falling asleep only to turn to see the others, especially Blake who was now without her bow, showing that she was a Cat Faunus.
"...Blake?" he muttered as the girl stormed out of the room.
"Blake, wait!" Ruby called out, as it was too late, as the Faunus had fled.
Everyone was silent as Cody looked at them with confusion. He soon was able to pick up what had happened. It seems there was an argument with Weiss once more, showing her distaste of the White Fang, and how she has some trust issues with Faunus due to past experiences. But it seemed it was hurting Blake more as from hearing that, it showed she was part of White Fang once before.
"Geez, you could have picked a bad time to fall asleep" Yang told him.
"Sorry… Though, we should try to go after Blake." Cody said, as he stood up, "While… while I think I can piece together what happened… I still want to hear her side of the story. As someone who's different, I fully understand the Faunus well…"
"Yeah, it's not like our friend used to been connected to an enemy before" Ruby noted, clearly reminding Weiss of the young Ultra in their presence.
"Ugh… she could've just yelled instead of fleeing…" Weiss sighed out, knowing she was at fault for this, once again.
They soon made their way out of their dorm and began searching all throughout the dorm and even in town, curfew be damned, for the missing Blake. Though, like before with the Monkey Faunus they saw earlier in the day, she too disappeared and the darkness did not help in their search at all.
"Rem, any signs of Blake?" Cody asked as he tried to look for the girl in his location.
["I'm sorry to say, but I cannot find any. For once, I can't detect anything from her… This… is troublesome… I did not expect Faunus to be able to turn invisible like that…"] Rem responded, shocked that there was something that could fully avoid her scanners and high tech system.
The young Ultra soon sighed and quickly called up his friends to see if they had any better luck than him or Rem.
Though, before he could get a response, the ground shook below him, as a claw extended from it, attempting to strike the young Ultra, causing him to jump away.
'What was that?!' he thought, quickly taking out his Primitive Knuckle, ready for battle.
But another shake caused him to drop it through the crack nearby, making him lose his only means to truly fight something that large.
'Wait a minute, is that a kaiju?!' he thought as the kaiju from the forest, Golmede, emerged from the ground, roaring loud enough that the whole area started waking up and screaming in terror at the sight of this monster somehow finding it's way into the city.
"How did it get here like that?!" Cody gasped.
["It seems, it used some unfinished, unman tunnels far beneath the city."]
"Crap, I can't fight without it!" He grimaced, as another claw swipe went to him.
Quickly he leaped for the Primitive Knuckle and grabbed it, afterwards activating the Riser to match the kaiju in size.
ULTRAMAN GEED: PRIMITIVE!
As he bathed in the purple light and changed, the kaiju was ready as it tackled him, forcing him off of his legs and into the air, as he was flung into the forest nearby the area he was in.
Soon, everyone began to regroup and witness the battle between Geed and the Golmede fight, as the new Kaiju was overpowering the Ultraman due to the surprise attack.
"We need to do something to help!" Ruby stated, worried about her friend as she didn't want to feel helpless and just watch him fight alone, again.
"But what exactly can we do? We don't exactly have a 'grow to giant size' thing to even the odds!" Yang pointed out.
"Hey! Forgetting someone?" Walking over was Jaune, but his hair slicked back as Zero took over for a moment. "I can help the shonen."
"Oh right…" the blonde brawler realized.
Zero-Jaune smirked as he took out the Neo Zero Eye and placed it in front of his face before clicking it. He was soon enveloped in red, white, and blue energy as he too grew in size before appearing as Ultraman Zero once more.
"Let's take this thing down like a supernova!" Zero sounded off before he charged in to help.
Now with a distinct numbers advantage, the two Ultras soon began double-teaming the kaiju.
"Thanks for that, Zero." Cody had thanked the senior Ultra for the assistance, as he felt relieved from the rough attacks.
Zero nodded, "No problem."
As the battle waged on, a hooded Kei was watching from a distance. An amused smile on his face as he saw this new Kaiju fight. Maybe it could be used for a better situation? He soon closed his eyes as the dark power he was granted, giving him a boost to change.
"Lord Belial… grant me this power… To bring them into extinction!" He sounded off, as he lifted the Kaiju Capsules.
"Gomora…" He said clicking on it before placing it into a small side device.
"Red King…" he continued as he clicked the capsule and slotted it into the device before unhooking it as Kei lifted up another device as he scanned the two capsules before placing it in the center of his chest.
FuSiON RiSE!
"Now, it's time to mark their end!" He shouted before pulling the trigger.
GoMORa! REd KiNG…
UlTRaMAN BelIAL: sKUll gOmORa!
Soon, the familiar Kaiju from a month ago re-emerged as it rushed into battle and tackled the two Ultras with an empowered charged. Golmede seemed confused by the new Kaiju, as it seemed it would help it, before they both turned to the two downed Ultras.
"Damn it… that thing is still alive?!" Cody gritted his teeth, surprised it was back.
"Must be due to Belial. He did have the power to resurrect some Kaiju with his staff." Zero gritted. "Guess the big guy found a new way to bring them back?"
"Either way, we should be careful." Cody noted.
The two soon continued to fight as the huntsmen watched on. During this, Lidorias noticed the roars and noises coming from the city. It sensed its natural enemy along with the two giants of light, noticing they could be in trouble. The avian kaiju knew it had to help as it flapped its wings as it took off to help them with this battle.

Back in the city, the kaiju and Ultras were still brawling as various civilians were woken up by the sounds of the fight, causing them to flee in terror.
"Everybody, calm down and please enter the shelters in an orderly fashion!" some of the police officers called out to the crowd as they herded them into several dome-like structures.
As many people were scared or trying to get ahead, most stayed calm, especially the Beacon students as some were overlooking the domes.
'Come on Cody, you can do this!' Ruby thought.
As they watched, Pyrrha soon noticed Coco looking around with worry as it seemed she and her team were trying to find a missing member…. Velvet.
"Vel! Where are you?"
This caught the group's attention as they headed over to the fashionista.
"What's going on, Coco?" Pyrrha asked the brunette.
"To find my partner!" Coco answered before running off.
"Ever since it was announced about the two kaiju, Velvet just disappeared from us." Yatsuhashi informed them. "We're all worried as we think she may be trying to get to that island again or head to the battle."
The teams looked worried, but understood what she meant before they ran off in search of the rabbit Faunus. Meanwhile, Blake pondered on what she should do next. Though from her peripheral vision, she noticed a familiar looking red-head with a bowler hat on top, as she knew Roman was here.
'You're not getting away this time…' Blake frowned as she rushed off after him.

"Yeesh! Talk about sloppy!" Roman commented as he watched the carnage between the Ultras and the kaiju.
A few airships were nearby the docks, as several White Fang members were loading up crates of many things that they stole while the chaos erupted. Mostly weapons and Dust, as this was the perfect chance to take them while everyone were either evacuating into the shelter domes, or attempting to prepare to fight the kaiju's and giants.
"Are you sure we should do this deal now?" one of Roman's goons asked.
"Of course. They're more towards the other side of the ports dealing with any backlash those freaks make. Sides, this came at the perfect time for us." Roman said, "Now, get back to work."
As Blake arrived, she glared at the crooks profiting off of the kaiju attack. It made her sick to her stomach.
"So, this is where you're at." The familiar blonde faunus said, as he sat next to her, watching the criminals work.
"Wait, how did you know I was here?" the cat Faunus asked.
"Saw you from afar bolt here. Figured it was something." He said with a shrug, "Should've expected the White Fang, though shocked they're working alongside someone as infamous as him."
They soon felt the ground shake as Skull Gomora's roar could be heard in the background.
"And especially because of that thing…" The blonde faunus noted. "So, whats the plan?"
Blake frowned as she saw Roman ordering around, "For now, see why the White Fang are working alongside him. Then take him down." She said, soon jumping from her post to sneak up on him.
However any hope of stealth was tough during a kaiju battle where most of the ground was shaking while buildings were constantly getting damaged.
"Keep it moving, people! Time is money here! And I can't-" Roman got out, before a blade was put against his neck, "Oh for the love of pete's sake…"
"Brothers and Sisters of the White Fang! Why are you working with this scum?!" Blake said, as she was holding Roman hostage to learn from them.
"Well, for starters, if you think I'm having them here against their will, you got another thing coming, kitten. You see, the White Fang and I are in this little job together. Secondly, I suggest you let me go." Roman said to her.
"And why would I do that?" Blake glared.
"Why…. for that bunny over there." Roman pointed out.
Confused, she soon turned to find Velvet held hostage by two men wearing Belial's colors.
"Wait a minute, you're working with the Cult of Belial?" She gasped.
"We all are, only because of something much bigger than you think." Roman said, "Now, be a good kitten, and let me go if you don't want her to become another missing person case."
As this was happening, Geed and Zero spotted the docks and who was there.
"Blake! Velvet!" Geed gasped in shock.
"Damn it, they got us pinned from this!" Zero gritted.
They soon ate two tail swipes from the kaiju due to this distraction, sending them on the ground and causing the pier to shake violently. This caused Blake to lose her balance, forcing Roman to break free as he swatted her with his cane, causing her to drop the ground as some of the White Fang members grappled her and held her down.
"Ohh, tough luck kitten. Seems you and those giants screwed up!" Roman smirked, "Get rid of them." He ordered the members and cultists.
They soon prepared to eliminate Velvet when they heard the familiar whirl… of Coco's minigun.
In seconds a rain of bullets shot out as it forced Roman, the White Fang and the cultists to back off and defend themselves as Blake was free and rushed over to free Velvet as the two faunus hugged for a moment as standing up on the building was Coco and Ruby.
"Blake!" they heard Ruby call out.
"Ruby! Coco!" Blake said in relief.
"You go deal with them, I got you covered, newbie." Coco said to the scythe user as she continued to rain bullets down.

Back with the Ultras…
"This is getting us nowhere, we could use a bit more help." Zero said, as the two felt their timers already as it began to flash for them.
As if on cue, they heard a bird-like screech fill the air as all four giants looked for the source. From afar, Lidoras flew towards the giants, aiming its sights on Skull Gomora and its mortal enemy as it tackled the two to the ground before it flew back up, screeching once again.
"Lidoras!" Velvet gasped, "What are you doing? You're still recovering!"
However the bird kaiju screeched as if to say that he was still ready to defend Vale in spite of his injuries. Golmede on the other hand was glad its rival was here, roaring at it as the saurian kaiju was ready to finally end this feud and kill it.
"Looks like we got backup!" Geed said with a smile.
"Let's deal with them then, shonen!" Zero said, as the two got ready for another brawl.
Skull Gomora roared at them as the two Ultras charged in, fists clashed with his horns as they broke the collision, forcing the kaiju to slam its head against Zero before swinging its tail at Geed, hitting them as they were pushed back.
"This guy's pretty tough" Zero noted while in another struggle with the fusion monster.
Lidoras on the other hand was still keeping up with it's rival as they battled it out in the streets, their roars piercing the night sky whilst civilians ran and hid.
"We have to help Lidoras!" Velvet pleaded with worry. "Golmede is going to kill him!"
"But how?" Ruby asked.
"You brats got your own problems to deal with!" Roman said, as he fired upon the group with his allies in tow.
The girls taking cover while Coco continued to fire from above for support.
"Cry some more!" she declared win a sadistic grin.
As the larger fight continued, the two ultras were already weakening by the second, as the fusion kaiju pushed them back, causing them to land closer to the docks as their bodies smashed the airships nearby that were stolen.
"That's my money!" Roman cried out as most of the stolen goods stored there were now left in ruins.
"Thats karma for ya!" Ruby laughed out loud.
"I think I should wash that mouth of yours with soap, Red!" Roman growled as he aimed his cane towards the scythe user.
The two then had a brief struggle while above, Geed was struggling with fighting Skull Gomora. The two heroes were fighting against their foes as it seemed they were being overpowered until Lidoras screeched and sent several feathers as it struck the fusion kaiju and made a wall between Roman and Ruby before the criminal could harm her.
Yet, the moment it turned away from Golmed, the saurian Kaiju took this chance as it grappled the avian kaiju, unhinging its jaw as it bit down on its neck, causing Lidoras to screech in pain as the saurian kaiju held it down, its jaw slowly squeezing down on it as it made sure it couldn't break free from its grasp.
"Lidoras!" Velvet called out as she turned to Geed. "Please… save him…" Velvet pleaded.
As she made that wish, a Little Star formed from her as it flew out and towards Geed, entering his timer.
"What? Velvet was a Little Star?" Cody gasped.
As it revitalized Geed enough for his timer to return to its normal blue hue, inside it Cody felt his Capsule holder react as he took out a new one, this one was another blue Ultra, yet had a calming feel to it as he could tell who this was.
"Ultraman… Cosmos…" he recognized.
[Master, with this, you can access a new form.] REM informed Cody.
The young Ultra nodded as he prepared to change forms.
Cody soon grabbed the Ultraman Hikari Capsule "You go!"
[JAAUT!]
Immediately he activated the capsule, causing a brief image of Ultraman Hikari to appear and raise his hand to the sky and catch a yellow light. One he placed the capsule in, he took out the capsule of the pacifist Ultraman Cosmos.
"I go!"
[HAAUI!]
After clicking the button, an image of Cosmos appeared and did the same motion Hikari did while Cody loaded up his capsule.
With both capsules in place, Cody started to scan both of them, a heartbeat emitting from the Riser as he passed it over each part of the Knuckle.
FUSION RISE!
"Misete shougeki!"
As he lifted the Riser into the air briefly, he then placed it to his heart and activated it.
"GEEED!"
ULTRAMAN HIKARI!
ULTRAMAN COSMOS!
Immediately Cody started to grow to giant size while the two after images entered his body. As he grew in stature, his form changed completely once more. Water and light flowed around him as the two summoned Ultras fused into his body for a new form. As he began to rise up, a several light strings appeared briefly as he seemed to be flying through torrents of water before it turned into a spiral of yellow and blue power as he flew out from the Rise.
ULTRAMAN GEED: ACRO SMASHER!
After the transformation was complete, everyone was surprised at what they saw. Geend was completely blue with silver lines around his body, and his head now sported a blue fin on the top.
"He's… blue?" Coco got out, as everyone was surprised by the new look.
"Really blue" Blake agreed.
Geed looked towards Golmed first as he crossed his arms before pulling back as energy built up.
ATMOS… IMPACT!
Geed called out as several rings of water and energy flew out, striking the kaiju, yet while it hit it, it didn't seem to hurt, only push it away as its grip on the avian kaiju loosened before it was flung off of it and into the deeper waters.
He then turned towards the avian kaiju as he lifted his arms again before making a soft push motion to it.
SMASH MOON HEALING!
Soon, an aurora borealis flew out of his hands, as it covered Lidoras in it, as surprisingly it not only relaxed and calmed the kaiju down, but the wounds it received from this fight slowly healed enough until it could recover on its own.
"So, that form mixes Hikari's discipline with Cosmos' kindness" Zero observed.
"Wait, how does that work?" Jaune asked the veteran Ultra.
"It uses their light to fight, but also to help those in need. He's practically… what you call it? A… 'Paladin'?" Zero pointe dout.
"Yeah, that sounds accurate" Jaune noted before thinking back to where he heard the term.
"Wait, what's Terrans and Ter-"
"Cease!" Jaunce yelped as he realized that Zero was looking through them, "Just, don't go through my memories like that!"
"Even the ones about how pretty you find Weiss and Pyrrha?"
"I SAID CEASE!"
Once Geed used what he could to heal Lidoras, he turned to the two kaiju as they picked themselves up, roaring in anger at his new power. Yet, it seemed he wasn't done as Geed held up his arm, feeling energy pour around it as it began to form into something.
GEED CLAW!
And from the light, a weapon was formed. It looked like a blue version of the Geed Riser, yet with two blades and a cylinder on top of it as he held it out, ready to take both of them on.
The kaijus hissed out, rushing to him as Geed walked ahead, soon striking Skull Gomora with the blades before blocking Glomede's headbutt, as he kicked him aside. He threw the weapon into the air as he touched his right forearm as an energy blade extended from it.
"He has a lightsaber too!?" Ruby gasped with glee.
"Survive first, fangirl later!" Coco growled as the rest of Team RWBY and CFVY arrived.
Geed soon rushed at Skull Gomora with blinding speeds as he began to slash and cut its hide with such speed, it couldn't defend itself before he turned his back and caught Geed Claw again. The fusion kaiju groaned before it erupted into an explosion, leaving Golmede as his only opponent.
Golmede, knowing his time was up, ran with his tail between his legs back to his territory. Lidoras soon screeched in victory while Geed and Zero flew off.

After a bit, the Beacon police came by as they began to arrest the remaining White Fang members and Cultists of Belial as they began to return what was stolen, while the group were resting near by after some questioning by the authorities.
"Boy, that night escalated quickly" Yang grumbled out of exhaustion.
"Hey! You all, alright?" Cody shouted out, as he and Jaune ran up to their teams, to try to fool CFVY in thinking they just got here.
"Yeah, we're good!" Ruby answered.
"Thank goodness… We were worried." Jaune sighed out.
As they talked, Weiss and Blake saw each other again as an awkward tension still emanated from their last encounter.
"Listen, I-" the cat Faunus was interrupted by the heiress stopping her mid-apology.
"Apupupu!" Weiss stopped her, "I gave it some thought. About this whole thing and your past. And frankly? I don't care!" She said to her, "But, if this ever comes up again, you tell your team, okay? No more loner missions cause you're scared, got it?"
Blake nodded as Team RWBY shared a group hug whilst the monkey Faunus watched from afar.
"Hehe, glad to hear it kitten. But I'll talk later." He smiled, leaving the group for now as they all needed some rest from this matter.
As the group was ready to head off, Velvet approached them all as she went to Cody first, as he felt confused as to why she approached him.
"Thank you" she thanked him.
"Hm? What for?" Cody questioned.
"For saving Lidoras, Geed" she answered to their shock.
This made everyone flinched as they didn't expect her to know.
"How… when…?" Cody got out, confused.
"When I wished for you to help him. The moment that light left me… I could just tell it was you that was Geed." Velvet smiled.
Everyone was surprised as Coco walked towards them, confused.
"What happened here?" she asked them.
"Oh, just thanking them for their help. I was kinda scared when the Cult of Belial arrived." Velvet reassured, also showing she'll keep his secret as well.
Cody quickly caught on and confirmed Velvet's alibi, lowering the team leader's suspicions enough to throw her off the scent.
"Ah, well okay. Just making sure nobody from these two teams try to take you from me." Coco smirked with a wink, pulling her partner close, "After all, you're my bunny."
"As if Cody isn't enough of a harem king" Jaune joked, giving a knowing smile to Coco.
"Please! I wouldn't dare be with him!" Weiss huffed.
"He's nice, but as a friend." Blake nodded.
"I would… but Ruby here has dibs." Yang snickered as the two young members blushed.
"H-H-HAREM?!" Cody gasped in horror, hiding his face from the shame.
Ruby though, had her cheeks puffed with a pout, as she quickly hugged his arm, "I don't want anyone taking him away…" She said with a heavy blush.
"Jealous about your boyfriend much?" Coco noted as she and Jaune saw she had taken the bait hook, line, and sinker once again.
"He's not my boyfriend!" Ruby denied loudly as she raced off in a flurry of rose petals back to their dorm.
That got a laugh out of the teens as the sun rose. While another power was given to Geed, it still left confusion as to whats going on with the kaiju as the fusion monster keeps reappearing. It seems there's more to this than anyone could ever imagine.

HackerEX: Double story update ahoy!
Striberx: Mhm, like I said in the last story update that many of the reasons were due to personal problems, life, and writers block. But we are fully getting back to the swing of things.
HackerEX: And since this is Ultra's 55th we're continuing the tributes with Cosmos next on the list!
Striberx: And while yes, Geed Claw didn't debut with Acro Smasher. With how much that weapon is mostly used for that form? It might as well debut alongside it too.
HackerEX: That doesn't mean that the Primitive Knucklems out tho, we still plan on using that for Geed's main form. Same with his final form weapons.
Striberx: We got lots of things planned and ready to go, just need to keep getting this writing train going so we don't lose track/have it on hiatus as much as it was.
HackerEX: Also if you're wondering, we don't have any plans for Trigger at the moment. Well striber doesn't, I got one idea but that's just that. An idea.
Striberx: Yeah so far, I'm only doing Geed atm. Maybe more Ultra fics will come, but for now I only have this planned out.
