After the second letter they gave us a chance to chat.
"Do you remember what you put in the letter?" Percy asked his twin.
"Not really. I wrote it before military school. I just remember that I refused to use any real names in fear that Gabe would find it." Peyton responded.
"What're you guys talking about?" asked Hazel. She had a slightly pale face like everyone after those letters.
"Nothing." Peyton lied.
"Come on. You were talking about something. I will figure it out!" then she walked away and Thalia out of the blue grabbed PEyton.
"You wrote something didn't you?" asked Thalia.
Peyton gave a brief nod before saying, "It was 10 years ago though so I don't remember what it said."
"OK HALF-BLOODS, BACK TO YOUR SEATS! We have a whole bunch of these to get through!"
Everyone sat down except for those who chose to remain standing.
"Daddy,
Who are you? Why did you leave me?
My mommy says you are important. I think she says that to hide the fact that you don't like me. It is true?
My mommy hurts me when I ask to much questions and then makes me clean everything up. What did I do to make you not like me?
My mommy said you weren't even there when I was born.
She hot me again today. I didn't even ask about you this time. When I asked why she said she just felt like it and then she kicked me in the chest against a kitchen countertop.
Wherever you are, I wish you could fix this.
Chris,"
Everyone's head swiveled to Chris who was actively trying to hide behind Clarisse.
"You know if you were 3 rows down there's a secret supply chest under the seat that you could have hidden in." Peyton thought at him.
Hermes sat there actually having the nerve to look like he regretted it. He is the messenger god he should have gotten the letter shouldn't he?
"Peyton Jackson, read the next letter!"
The book was shoved roughly into Peyton's arms.
