A/N: Hello to all of you, I hope you are all doing well, sorry for the break, but I just needed to get back on track, and sort a few things out. I will resume writing the story, but don't expect daily updates as I used to do, as I am now working. I will probably make the chapters longer, but have a bigger delay in their releases. Now some of you may know the main plot for the story if you've asked for it, but some things may end up changing, and besides there's always the side plots, so feel free to read this anyways.

So, just to resume what has happened in the story since the start: We began in Gringotts where Harry received his parents will, and got the Horcrux removed from his head. Harry arrived at Kings Cross earlier than cannon, and there he met Hermione. Neville later joined their compartment. Harry was sorted in Ravenclaw along with Hermione, whereas Neville was sorted into Griffindor. Harry ended up being paired with Daphne Greengrass and Tracey Davis in Herbology, and from there, they slowly became friends. Harry sometimes does magic wandlessly and/or silently, something he guessed had to do with the removing of the Horcrux, and some of Voldemort's memories remaining with him, making it easier to learn spells. Just after Christmas, the five friends went down the trapdoor and caught Quirell, who Harry ended up killing. Dumbledore replaced him as the DADA professor, and Harry had to learn to control his magic. By the way, Dumbledore had put a block on Harry's magic when he was young because he had started doing magic very early, and that frightened Dumbledore, but Harry ended up giving him a chance. During the summer holidays, Harry is training in the mind arts, on his physical abilities, and magical abilities. Harry had hosted a party for his birthday at Potter Manor, which was a good bonding moment for Harry and Daphne, who ended up falling asleep together. Now, we are going to the trip to Diagon Alley they had all planned together.

Most characters and the main plot belongs to J.K Rowling.

It was now the 17th of August, and Tracey was currently at the Greengrass' house. She had spent the last day with them, and it turned out to be rather interesting. Daphne had begun fussing about every detail about herself, whether it be a single hair out of place, or a crease in her clothes, and all of this amused Tracey. It seemed Daphne didn't even notice how frantic she was acting, and if she did, she probably didn't even know why.

"How do I look ?" She asked. Her voice held a little worry in it and this furthered Tracey's amusement.

"Calm down Daph, it's all going to be fine, you look great, and I'm sure your boyfriend will say the same" Tracey replied, a smile adorning her face. Daphne's cheeks became flustered at this remark.

"Harry's not my boy- " At this, she stopped herself, but because she liked the idea, but because Tracey hadn't even said a name, and she had jumped to the conclusion. This caused Tracey to begin laughing incessantly. She tried to calm her down, but every time she did, Tracey just laughed even harder.

A few minutes later, Tracey calmed down. "So, you and Harry is it ?" Tracey said with a chuckle.

Daphne began hating the fact that she'd had Tracey come over to get ready. "Look, there is nothing going on between Harry and I, alright ?" She said with a little annoyance seeping through her voice.

"Sure" was the only thing Tracey said in reply. Daphne rolled her eyes, and the two of them finished getting ready in silence.

The five friends had just grouped up outside of the Leaky Cauldron on the magical side, and were chatting happily. The Alley was quite crowded, which was to be expected as school was nearing. "So, where do you want to go to first ?" Tracey asked.

"Well, does everyone have money on them ?" Harry answered her question with another question. Everyone nodded in the positive. "How about we go to Madam Malkin's first, at least we can leave while she prepares all of our things ?" He suggested.

"My family doesn't actually use Madam Malkin's," Tracey began, " we go just to the entrance to Knockturn Alley, and there, there is a shop where she does really high quality robes, plus it's cheaper that what it would be at Malkin's given that it's off the main alley. Why don't we all go there ?" She suggested.

"Are you sure it's safe, for Hermione I mean, given that she's muggleborn ?" Neville asked.

"She should be fine, it's not like we're going into the alley itself, and besides, even if we were, it's not like they could tell, could they ?" Daphne said with a shrug.

Neville gave her a sideways nod as if saying 'good point'. "So, is that a 'yes' from everyone ?" Tracey asked, looking around. She knew that Daphne would be okay with it, she was in no danger whatsoever if she went there, Neville would be fine too, Hermione wouldn't risk anything as long as she didn't show off her muggle upbringing, the only problem, would be Harry, he would have to hide his scar, the rest of him should be fine, given that he didn't look much like what most people assumed he would look like, which was an exact replica of his father.

Everyone agreed to her idea, so they made their way down to a shop called 'Devon's robe store'. It sounded a bit like a muggle shop, but nobody questioned the reason for it, they just assumed it would attract muggleborns, especially if it was their first time in the alley, given that it would be something that makes them feel like they are in muggle territory in some sort.

When they entered, a rather old looking man with a few hairs left on his head, his eyes squinted as if trying his utmost to see without glasses, and a small beard which looked a complete mess came from the back of his shop. "Mornin' kids, what can I getcha ?" The old man asked.

"Good morning, Mr. Devon. Could you fit us all with robes please, we've all outgrown ours." Tracey said. As soon as she finished, five house elves popped into thin air and began measuring all of them immediately. Hermione seemed curious as to what the creatures were, Harry could tell she hadn't expected them, as she let out a high-pitched squeal as soon as the 'pop' was heard. Of course, Harry and Neville also jumped a little, but at least they didn't squeal. Tracey and Daphne both looked at them smugly, as if it was obvious that it was going to happen, so they shouldn't have gotten scared.

"So what fabric would you like ?" The old man asked when the elves began their work. As he said this, he pointed towards a panel on the wall above the counter as to which fabrics they had. The cheapest option would be polyester, followed by silk, and the most expensive would be acromantula silk, which was more than double the price of ordinary silk.

"Acromantula silk for me please" Harry said. They all looked surprised at him for that, usually they knew he didn't really like to spend money. "Well I've discovered that I have a lot more gold at the manor, so why not" He shrugged. They all accepted this, and all ordered acromantula silk except Hermione.

"I'll just have the regular silk, please." She said. As she saw everyone about to protest, she quickly put her hand up, silencing them. "No, you are NOT paying for my school stuff, besides, I don't need the beat quality stuff out there, besides, I'll outgrow these by the end of the year I guess, so there's not much point in spending the extra money. You all have to look expensive given all your statuses as Heirs or Heiresses." They all seemed to accept her explanation, and didn't push any further, besides, they knew it would be fruitless.

After another five minutes, all the elves left them, and went into the back. "How many robes do you want, and what type ?" Once again, the old man pointed to the wall behind the counter, and where the fabrics used to be, now stood different types of robes. There were school robes, dress robes and formal robes.

They all ordered 5 sets of school robes each, and they each, except Hermione, ordered a set of formal robes. "Very well, your things shall be ready for you in around an hour, feel free to stay if you wish." As he said this, he walked back into the back with his elves. The group of five left the shop, and headed back to the main Alley.

"Now, how about we got to the Apothecary, and get our potion supplies, I've just about run out." Daphne said. They all nodded, and so they went off to do that. After that, they went to Eyelop's Owl Emporium, to get some snacks for their owls. When they went back to the shop, they had gotten everything except their books. They picked up their clothes, paid more money than Harry had ever spent on clothes, and headed back out. Harry decided that he would have to buy some new muggle clothes at some point, as he didn't have enough of them.

When they reached the bookshop, they discovered that it was extremely packed, and they couldn't work out why. That's until they heard Hermione and Tracey squeal when they saw the sign above the door. 'Gilderoy Lockhart signing books, today only'. Harry had no clue who the man was, but Neville and Daphne both rolled their eyes at the other two girls reactions. Neville, Harry and Daphne slowly made their way into the shop, Hermione and Tracey having already entered at a sprint mere seconds ago, to find that the shop was almost packed to the brim. Harry found it hard to move, but ahead, he spotted both Hermione and Tracey. He motioned to Daphne and Neville where they were, and they made their way over.

When they got there, Harry spotted the Weasley family. He received a wave from both Gred and Forge, a Malfoy worthy sneer from Ron, and an excited look form a little girl who he assumed was the youngest of the Weasley siblings. Fred and George both noticed the reaction from their little sister, and so they moved over with her to Harry and his friends. The little girl looked extremely nervous now, it was like she thought that Harry wouldn't have noticed that she was even looking at him with eyes the size of footballs.

"Noon peeps" Fred said, at least that's who Harry thought it was.

"Good to" George began

"See you all"

"This is our"

"Little sister"

"Ginny" They each said, taking their turns in talking and completing each other's sentence. By the time they had finished, Ginny had a flustered look on her face, and couldn't, for the life of her, look at Harry. Harry assumed it was because he was famous and let it at that.

"Noon guys, and hello Ginny. How's your summer been ?" Harry asked. The others had nodded their heads in greetings to the twins.

"Not too bad," George began

"Although we failed to find out"

"What Percy was doing"

"In his room all holiday"

Harry didn't know how they did it, but he guessed that it had taken an immensely long time to perfect, which they had done.

"Probably doing some extra work to prove he is the right person to choose for Head Boy next year." Neville said. Harry hadn't really ever spoken to the prefect much last year, he'd only had a couple of conversations with him, and they were both extremely quick ones.

"Possibly, but he was sending an awful lot of letters." the two said in unison.

"Well he was probably trying to gain favourable with the teachers then" Daphne said.

"That's what we thought." George said.

At that point, the shop exploded into applause, as a man in extravagant robes, pearl white teeth showed up behind the counter. The three Weasleys' were called back to their mother, while Hermione and Tracey squealed once. Honestly, Harry didn't know if his ears would survive this if it kept going on.

A man, in his fifties, began pushing past everyone with a camera. "Excuse me, Daily Prophet !" He shouted above the crowds. People didn't seem to care much about him, so he forced his way past. Lockhart wasn't doing anything, it seemed he was waiting g for the camera man. As he reached him, people began moving about so that the man could set up his camera, and get out of everyone's way.

As they did, that exposed Harry to the man who was smiling as if it was his most important attribute. His eyes fixed upon Harry before going towards his forehead. At that point, his smile grew. "I'm so glad you could join us, Mr Potter !" Lockhart said, he said it loud enough so that the whole store could hear, and at that point whispers were going around the whole shop, it was as if they'd never met someone famous.

"Harry Potter !" The camera man exclaimed, before dragging Harry to the front of the store. This annoyed Harry immensely, so he pushed the man to the ground with his magic. Nobody would know he did it, because the room was so crowded. Harry let out a sigh and made his way to Lockhart. At that point, the camera man had got back up, and was behaving his camera.

Having been taught about politics throughout the holidays, Harry knew it was a good idea to make a good impression. "Smile Harry, together we raid the front page !" Lockhart said. Harry decided that smiling was the best things for his status, and so he did. He didn't like the fame, but Sirius had told him that it could come in extremely helpful in the future, and that the earlier he began to build his support, the better. After about a minute of photos, Lockhart gave Harry a full set of signed books, and shook his hand once again. Harry of course thanked the man with a smile, which of course was faked, but it was a very good fake smile in his opinion.

"Could you get my friends to the front of the line please, we are in a rush ?" Harry to Lockhart after a moment's thought. He, of course, agreed, and his friends made their way to the front of the line. They all ordered their books, all which were signed by Lockhart, and they made their way out.

"Thank God for that, I don't think I could stand being in there for much longer." Neville said. Harry and Daphne both nodded agreeing with him, but Hermione and Tracey were both over the moon because he had personally asked for them to go to the front of the line. Daphne rolled her eyes at the two girls' giddiness, and they made their way to the Leaky Cauldron.

"Would you rather have lunch here, or in muggle London ? I know how to move around London a little, so shouldn't be too hard to find somewhere." Hermione asked the group. They decided to go have lunch in muggle London, and they ate at an Indian restaurant. They all enjoyed their meal a lot, even if it was a little too spicy for Neville and Daphne. Hermione was used to it, having already eaten Indian a fair few times. Harry and Tracey however, had needed a jug of milk to cool down their mouths. The other three laughed at this, but the other two didn't care in the slightest, they were solely concentrated on downing the milk.

After that, they made their way back to the Leaky cauldron, where they found Hermione's parents. They had a few quick words with them, before the Grangers' left. Tracey left through the floo, shortly followed by Neville. Daphne kissed Harry on the cheek, and left hastily, Harry was sure he could see a bit of colour rising on her neck, but she left so quickly he wasn't sure. zHarry, however, stood still for a minute, that was until the Weasleys walked in through the brick wall leading to the alley. Harry felt something when they walked in, but couldn't place it, it seemed familiar, but he left it at that, and made his way back home.

It was now the last day before leaving for Hogwarts, and Harry and Hermione were both at Neville's. They had been for the past week and a bit, and they had got to have fun, and Neville was even surprised that his Gran was proud about him. He hadn't said anything about the adventure to get the Philosopher's stone, but Harry had let it slip one evening while eating. She had said that he was becoming worthy of being his father's son. Neville swelled with pride at that, and it boosted his confidence immensely.

With it being a house of a Most Ancient and Noble House, they had wards up to prevent the Trace from being detected, something which Neville didn't know about as his Gran didn't want Neville to cause too much damage to the place, and it was Harry who had told him. Hermione went on to say that it wasn't fair that Pure bloods had an advantage over mugglesborns, but Harry zpointed out that she was still top of the class, along with him, and he had grown up in a muggle household. She brightened up at this, and they ended up practicing a few spells. Harry had shown them some which he had learnt over the summer.

Harry had said that he was going to London for a couple of hours so that he could buy a few muggle things. Neville and Hermione didn't really want to go shopping again, so Harry went alone, not that he minded, because he had flooed over to Potter Manor to ask if Remus and Sirius wanted to come. They both agreed, and had all currently just apparated into a dark alleyway. As soon as they did, they heard another pop, and they noticed a house elf there, one who wasn't a Potter, or a Black elf, so they found this odd.

The elf turned towards them and let out a little squeak. "Harry Potter sir, what an honour it is !" The elf said. Sirius and Remus just stood there as if waiting for them to be acknowledged, which they weren't.

Harry felt a little uncomfortable with even elves greeting him as if it was the greatest thing ever. "Nice to meet you too. Who- Who are you ?" Harry asked hesitantly, he didn't know if he should have recognised him or not.

"I is Dobby, sir." He exclaimed happily. Suddenly, his face looked somber. "Harry Potter sir must not return to Hogwarts this year, terrible things are about to happen !"

Harry looked shocked for a second, before he composed himself. "I'm sorry, but what are you on about ?" Harry asked as politely as possible.

"There is a most terrible plot which has been planned at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry this year, and Harry Potter sir must not return !" The elf said, he actually seemed extremely scared for Harry, something which he was surprised about, especially considering that he had never even met the elf.

"What's happening ? Who's planning it ?" Sirius asked, concern for his Godson obvious on his face.

"Dobby cannot say, but Harry Potter must promise not to return !" Dobby persisted.

"Sorry Dobby, but I have to go back, all my friends will be there, and I can't leave them knowing something is going to happen" Harry replied.

"You is very noble and loyal, Harry Potter sir, but you is too important to lose !" Dobby nearly shouted.

"Don't worry Dobby, I'll be just fine"

"But Har-"

"I said I'll be okay" Harry said with a hint of anger in his voice, he wasn't really angry with the elf, he just hoped that it would make sure the elf knew that no matter what, he was still returning. As he said it, Dobby seemed like he was struggling to find something to say. Harry made sure to tell the elf once again that he would be going to Hogwarts, and with that, the elf popped away. He just hoped that the elf wouldn't cause him any trouble.

Harry, Neville, Hermione, and Augusta Longbottom had just flooed over to the platform. It was currently 10.30, so they had a load of time to spare. They said their goodbye to Augusta, and left to find a compartment. All of their trunks were inside their pockets, thanks to Neville's Gran who had shrunk them, and put a featherweight charm on them. As they made their way down the train, the said 'hello' to a few of their year mates, and found a compartment. They returned their trunks to their original sizes and places them in the luggage rack.

As they sat down, Harry noticed both Tracey and Daphne come out of the floo, followed by three other people. One was a man who was rather tall, had black hair, a similar colour to Harry, he had quite a good build to his body, and his eyes were the same piercing blue as Daphne. Then, there was a woman with long wavy honey blond hair, the same as Daphne. She had blue-green eyes, and she had curves all in the right places. Harry imagined that Daphne would look similarly pretty, if not more so with the eyes, and her nose was a little smaller than whom he assumed to bex her mother. And lastly, there was a young girl, she seemed to be around ten years old, she had the same hair as her father, and the same eyes as her mother. She was quite small Harry thought, he was sure he was about the same height, at that age, but Harry had slowed growth due to the small amounts of food he received when he was younger.

After ten minutes, Daphne and Tracey left the Greengrasses', and made their way onto the train. They obviously hadn't thought of shrinking their trunks, but did they cast a featherweight charm on them, so Harry and Neville went over to help them out, while Hermione kept the compartment. Harry cast the featherweight charm on their trunks, he had wanted to try it out once Augusta had done it on their trunks, and he had managed it. The two girls were extremely thankful for the help, and the two boys took the trunks off of the girls. They didn't see the point in shrinking them, as they would just have to return them to their original sizes once they reached the compartment, which wasn't that far away.

Once the train left the station, Harry cast a privacy spell on the compartment, and locked the door. The others looked at him strangely. "I've got something to tell you, plus I can't be arsed with Malfoy" Harry shrugged, despite Hermione's interruption of 'Language !'.

He told them all about what Dobby had told him. For the rest of the train ride, they all speculated about what his warning could actually mean, and the worst thing that came up was a teacher who was either possessed like last year, or an attack being launched on the school, the latter being improbable given the fact that the country was at peace, and that everyone knew Dumbledore was the Headmaster, and he was considered the greatest wizard alive.

Around an hour from the end, the girls ushered the boys out of the compartment, so they could change. The two boys walked out, and Harry being Harry, just waved his wand and saying 'mutatio' over himself as he reached outside, and his clothes changed into his school robes he had paired the charm with earlier in the week. Neville just looked at him and huffed. Harry let out a laugh at this, and explained the charm to Neville. When he finished, the girls opened the door to let them in, and were surprised to see Harry was already changed.

"Took a head start" Harry said casually with a shrug at the girls' confused look. Neville pulled down his trunk, and the girls began making their way out.

"Oh, no need, Harry showed me a spell which would allow me to change into my school gear." Neville said. The girls raised an eyebrow at Harry, and he just smirked at them. Neville place his trunk on his lap, opened it, and found his outfit. Without him noticing, Harry cast a charm silently that wouldn't allow people to see past the door to the compartment. Neville muttered the spell, and instead of wearing his new outfit, he was wearing nothkng but his boxers and his socks.

At this, Harry burst out laughing, the three girls squeaked, and turned round, and Neville turned bright red.

"Whoops, forgot to say you needed the outfit on to pair it" Harry says through his laughter.

"I'm going to kill you, Harry !" Neville shouted, luckily nobody would hear it given that he had put up privacy wards.

Harry laughed at his friend's exclamation, and once he regained his breath, he said, "Right girls, I think we should leave the compartment, give Neville a little privacy." He grinned as he said this, and the four left, while Neville sent Harry a glare, with his face red, he didn't know if it was from anger or embarrassment. Of course, Neville knew that Harry was doing it for fun, but he wasn't happy that it was done on him.

While the four were outside, Harry was heavily scolded by the three girls, although he could see that Tracey and Daphne weren't completely serious in it, as they enjoyed pranks a fair bit too, Hermione on the other hand, wasn't kidding at all, and went full out on him.

Once they entered again, Harry had felt like he had just been told off by McGonagall because he had run of into the middle of the school dressed as a Death Eater and cursed everyone, it seemed like he had done something much worse that a little prank on a friend given the amount Hermione had scolded him. But Harry didn't regret it, at least he had had a laugh out of it, and Daphne and Tracey seemed amused, even Neville was taking it better than Hermione. Neville had promised him that he would return the favour at some point, and Harry was sure that he would, so he would have to step carefully from now on.

Sorry once again for the break. This chapter won't be as long as the others will be, this one is just so you know that I am back to updating the story. Thank you once again for the support, and I hope you'll enjoy what I have in store : )
