I don't own Night at the Museum
Washington D.C, 2009 A.D.
That's how it was that day four thousand years ago. A day where she knew that she would lose some of her freedom and have the duties of the future Egyptian queen. A part of her had wondered why she had been the one who had been chosen, out of all the other potential women that were available. A part of her thought that it was due to the responsibilities that her father had as a nomarch. What Neferet gathered, being a nomarch was almost like being close to the royal family and due to that, she had been the chosen one out of any other to be betrothed to the pharaoh.
Neferet took a turn into one of the buildings and was amazed at what her eyes landed on. These strange contraptions that hung on the ceilings were things that not even an Ancient Egyptian had ever thought about in their wildest dreams. She didn't know whether she ought to be amazed or fearful in case these strange items fell from the ceiling and crushed her. Quickly, she took a step back and hurried outside of the building. So many buildings and she didn't know whether she would make it in time to explore all of them. A feeling of excitement suddenly took over her as she hurried into another building, wondering what else it had to offer. Pushing the doors open, she gazed at the moving objects that were encased within a glass box as they banged their fists against the glass. This was almost like she was watching an entertaining show rather than going to assist them in getting them out. One of those figures used its shoulders and smashed against the class resulting in a large thud to echo across the hallways.
A gasp escaped Neferet's throat as she jumped away from the glass and hurried down another hallway. This hallway seemed empty than the one where she was, but she could feel that there was a presence in front of her. Raising her eyes, she saw a dark looking sarcophagus with a display sign similar to hers. The sign read Kahmunrah Gate of the Underworld.
Another foggy memory came upon her as her mind mulled over at name. Kahmunrah she thought. "Kahmunrah," she spoke it out loud like she had done her name previously. It was familiar, yet she just couldn't actually pinpoint it on whom. From the sarcophagus on display, she turned her head and noticed another door. Now where did this one lead to, she did not know but the moment that she placed her hand on the doorknob, the door didn't budge to open.
She tried opening the door once more but to no avail. It was a door that would either lead to an opportunity or something that she would not expect.
