In the mornings, we have normal classes, such as English, math, and hero history. And after all of our core classes, we have lunch, which we eat top-notch food made by the Cooking Hero, Lunch Rush! And then after that, the class we all have been waiting for, the Hero Basic Training Course!
"I HAVE COME THROUGH THE DOOR LIKE A NORMAL PERSON!"
I wiggled in my seat, the excitement beginning to leak out of me. It was the number one hero in Japan...All Might! He is soo much cooler in person! He's a giant! And just look at those muscles! Its inhuman!
My class mates were all remarking on how cool he looked, especially in his Silver Age costume. It was honestly giving me goosebumps.
"Hero Basic Training!" he announced, striking a pose. "The class that'll put you through all sorts of special training to mold you into heroes! No time to dally! Todays activity is this-" he pulled out a bright colored piece of paper, "Battle Training!"
My eyes almost popped out of my head. Battle Training!? Already!? U.A really didn't slack when it came to hero course. I was exited none the less. This was a chance to show what I was really made of! I saw Yuriko's face in that moment, grinning devilishly.
My excitement abruptly vanished. She was planning something. I prayed to what ever gods were listening that I didn't have to go against her. I would much rather go up against Katsuki Bakugou, who was wearing that exact same expression. At least he didn't try to drown me several times, or beat me within a half-inch of my life. My attention was grabbed by All Might's booming voice.
"And for that...you'll need these!" He clicked a remote, and the entire south wall popped out with rack upon rack of suitcases. "In accordance with the Quirk registries and special request forms you filled out before being admitted..."
"COSTUMES! OHHHH YEAH!" The class shouted enthusiastically.
I was bouncing in my seat. Costumes! I hope mine is as cool as I hoped I'd be!
"After you get changed, come out in ranking order to Ground Beta! Looking good is very important ladies and gentlemen! Look alive now, because from now on, YOU'RE HEROES!"
The uniform subsidy. Students of U.A had to submit a quirk registry form and bodily specification forms before we started school. Then a support company affiliated with the school prepares costumes for all its Hero Course students! Students attach request forms, and their specifications are turned into wicked cool, cutting edge costumes!
So, of course, I submitted my costume design. Honestly, I probably should have asked if I could wait, since I wasn't sure what Quirks I had a chance of acquiring. But my current costume would get the job done for today. It was a cropped "half coat" type thing, with a short black tube top/sports bra type thing underneath. The front was open to just above my belly button, and the rest of the coat was left in the back, kind of like a cape, but attached at the waist instead of the shoulders. It was sleeveless, and was mostly a striking dark green with black accents. My bottoms were short spandex biker shorts in black and white, with two black dots on the front. My shoes were knee-high black and green boots with buckles.
I was careful in twisting and turning in the dressing room, doing a few back bends and toe touches. They costume was perfect, and highly flexible. Just right for me. I smiled.
"Wow, Akikuda-san! Your costume is really cool!" Tooru Hagakure, a girl with an invisibility quirk, marveled.
I smiled at her. "Yours is too! Going with just the gloves was a smart choice for your quirk!"
She giggled. "I wonder if any of the boys will get flustered because you're naked." joked Ashido-san.
That sent all of us girls into hushed giggles. I barely knew these people, but I already liked them a lot. Momo Yaoyorozu stood up from zipping her boots and huffed. "We better get going before we are all late!"
"Shall we begin my wards!" All Might-sensei's voice boomed over the class. "It's time for battle training!"
I looked around in wonder at everyone's costumes. some were plainer but cool, Like Kaminari-san's black jacket with white lightning designs-and others where super flashy and noticeable, like Bakugou-san's grenade and explosion themed costume. Standing next to him and Todoroki-san made me fell suddenly under dressed.
"Ah, Deku!?" Uraraka-san exclaimed in surprise, "Cool costume! Really practical looking!"
I could see the green haired boy flushed tomato red clear up to his hairline. "Uraraka..whoa!"
She rubbed the back of her head, looking embarrassed. "I wish I had been more specific on my request form." she admitted sheepishly, "This suit is so puffy and curvy..."
I could hear the short ball headed boy, Minoru Mineta, sigh. "Being in the hero course is the best," he drooled dreamily.
So great. We have a short perv with balls on his head, of all things.
All Might-sensei looked around and laughed heartily. "Were all here then! Looking good!"
One of the students in full white armour raised his hand quickly. It took me a second to realize it was Iida-kun.
"Sensei, this is the same field from the entrance exam! Are we going to be preforming cityscape maneuvers?"
"Nope!" Sensei said matter of factly. "You'll be moving onto step two! Indoor anti-personnel battle training!
"Villan battles are most commonly seen outdoors!" He continued, "but statistically, most villan battles occur indoors! Between confinement, house arrest, and black market deals, in this hero filled society of ours, ahem..." he cleared his throat loudly, "The cleverest villains out there lurk indoors!"
He turned to face us, his huge arms planted firmly on his hips in a very recognizable All Might pose. "You'll be split into villan teams and hero teams! And face of on two on two indoor battles!"
The class was silent, except for Tsuyu Asui, who spoke up. "So now basic training?" She croaked worriedly.
"Nope!" he said "Practical experience teaches you the basics! The distinction here is that you won't be fighting faux robots!"
And then the onslaught of questions came. What determines victory?, CAN I JUST BLOW EVERYONE AWAY?!, Are you threatening to expel someone like Aizawa-sensei did?, How do we procced to divide ourselves into teams?, ✨How fabulous is my cape✨? I felt bad for Sensei. He was cringing away from the commotion trying to say something I couldn't hear.
He raised his voice over the crowd. "It will go down like this! The villains will be hiding a nuclear weapon in the hideout, while the heroes have to go in and take care of it! The heroes have a limited amount of time to capture the villains or take the weapon! The villains must either capture the hero, or keep the weapon for that set amount of time!"
He pulled two boxes from seemingly nowhere. "Your battle partners will be decided from drawing slots! Listen up for your roles and partners!"
The teams went like this:
Team A- Uraraka and Deku!
Team B- Todoroki and I!
Team C- Yaoyorozu and Mineta!
Team D- Bakugou and Iida-kun!
Team E- Aoyama and Ashido-san!
Team F- Satou and Kouda!
Team G- Kaminari and Jirou!
Team H- Tsuyu and Tokoyami!
Team I- Hagakure and Tsumiyo!
Team J- Kirishima-san and Sero!
And the first teams to go up was team A as the Hero's, and team D as the villains.
I walked beside Todoroki-san, and down into the monitor room.
