Author's note: I'm still building up the story, things should become more exciting at the mall with a possible akuma attack. Thank you, those of you who are bearing with me, I hope I make it worth it.

Alya awoke to her alarm going off. After Trixx had tickled her in to submission Ayla agreed to lay down and try to get some sleep. To say she did not expect to be out the moment her head hit the pillow would an understatement. But that's what happened.

Groaning Ayla shut off the alarm and started rubbing the sleep from her eyes. "Did you sleep well?" Trixx asked suddenly, making Ayla jump in suprise.

Alya looked at Trixx in confusion. In her sleep filled mind she had forgotten about the birthday gift from Ladybug. "Trixx?" She croaked.

Trixx rolled her eyes. " No, I'm the tooth fairy. Here to collect all your teeth from you while you were sleeping, but your alarm went off first." Trixx said sarcastically, a devious smile on her face.

Ayla blinked. The events of the night prior to came flooding back. Alya eyes narrowed accusingly at the kwami. "Your a little trouble maker aren't you?" She commented.

Smiling Trixx held up her hands in surrender. "Hey I'm not as bad as Plagg, I promise." Trixx said defensively.

"Plagg?" Ayla asked tilting her head to the side in question.

Trixx just waved her hand dismissively. "He's another kwami, and not important right now. So what are we going to do today miss birthday girl?" Trixx asked quickly moving on.

"Well I personally am going to go take a shower and join my family for breakfast. Then its just a matter of waiting for Marinette and Nino to show up so we can all go to the mall." Alya replied getting out of bed.

"That sounds fun... Oh no, no, don't take your miraculous off!" Trixx said quickly as she watched her holder grab her clothes for the day, and was about to set her nekless on her dresser.

Alya stopped and looked at Trixx puzzled. "Its just while I'm in the shower." She stated.

Trixx vigorously shook her head, flying up to Alya. "You need to keep it on at all times. It is magical so don't worry about water affecting it." Trixx said firmly.

Alya hesitated, she had no doubt that the miraculous were water proof. But its going to be weird trying to scrub while wearing jewelry. Then again she is not sure she wants to explain to Ladybug why Ella and Etta possibly got ahold of it either.

Alya nodded to Trixx. " Okay, will you be alright in here until I return?" Alya asked.

Trixx smiled. " Yeah I'll be fine. Maybe I'll see what you got in that book collection over there." Trixx said pointing to the built in book shelf.

"Be my guest, just don't let any of my sisters see you if they decide to come into my room." Alya said as she walked out the door.

Trixx smiled. "Would never dream of it." She said to herself as she flew over to the books lining the wall behind the bed.

All of her school books were stacked neatly on 2 of the lower shelves. There were about 5 shelves worth of reporter and technological books. Then towards the top seemed to be mythology, fairy tales, and just teenage stories.

A large book called Creole Mythology Creatures And Legends, caught Trixx's attention.

Alya returned to her room about an hour later, intent on working on her blog. Nora had the twins for the day while their parents went to work. Marinette and Nino weren't supposed to be over for another hour and a half, and that's assuming Marinette is actually on time today.

Upon entering her room she immediately noticed Trixx sitting on her bed. Engrossed in a large book layed out open in front of the kwami. The size difference made the scene comical.

"What are you reading?" Alya asked startling Trixx back to reality.

"I'm learning about the little mischievous creatures your sisters turned into the first time we met. Along with a bunch of other mythical creatures and legends." Trixx replied up looking at Alya.

Alya smiled knowingly. "Well I brought you some sausage from breakfast if you are hungry." She said holding up the napkin wrapped breakfast link that she snuck off the table.

Trixx quickly abandoned the book she was reading and flew up to take the food. "Thank you very much." She said before taking a big bite.

Alya grabbed her phone off the charger and went to sit at her desktop. As she opened her phone she was surprised to find several text messages, missed phone calls, and notifications from her blog.

"Oh yeah that thing has been going off since you practically left." Trixx said sitting down on Alya's shoulder.

Alya didn't respond to Trixx, she just started going threw her text messages. Most of them were happy birthdays from friends and relatives. But a few were also inquiries about Lila's interview post.

Alix, Kim, and Max wanted to know why I was listening to Marinette. Rose, Juleka, Mylene, and Ivan were telling me that I must be mistaken; and that Lila would never tell me inaccurate information (as put it in the post).

And Lila... Lila... She umm...

Last night Alya had been more focused on the disappointment in herself than Lila's actions. Now Alya is not sure what to think about it. She is upset that Lila lied, but she is not sure that makes her the bad person Marinette makes her out to be.

After all Marinette has stolen both hers and Adrian's phones, broke traffic laws with a fake parking sign, and has even shown hostility towards those who show interest in her crush. Yet she is still an amazing person and even better friend.

But Lila's reaction to removing the post with an apology for the miss guided information has Alya perplexed. The 20 missed phone calls aren't helping.

"Is something wrong Alya?" Trixx asked as she watched the scowl on her holder's face deepen.

Alya looked up from her phone to her now concerned kwami. "I don't know. I knew my friends would question removing Lila's post. And that Lila might be a bit upset. But..." Alya looked back at her phone as she trailed off.

"Can I see?" Asked the kwami as she floated down to the desk.

Alya nodded setting her phone down on the desk. She showed Trixx how to navigate her messages before logging into her computer to check her blog notifications.

Trixx did not waste any time going through Alya's messages.

Alix:

Yo girl, Happy Birthday! I hope you have a great day. Listen I saw your post, and I don't know what Marinette told you this time about Lila, but you should know by now to just ignore it.

Rose:

Good morning, I hope you slept well for your big day. Happy birthday, I hope it goes beautifully. Um, I saw you took Lila's post down due to false information. I really think you might have been mistaken. Lila would never do that.

Lila:

Alya, I dont know what Marinette told you but I would never lie to you about anything. Especially my friendship with Ladybug. Please call me when you get this, so I can clear this up!

You have not called me yet. Please don't be mad at me for something I did not do. Marinette is just does not like me because shes jealous, and you know that; you have told me so yourself.

You know whatever Marinette told you, I bet its because Adrian offered to help me catch up on my school work. You know from all my travels, just call me and we can get this all worked out.

Listen I did not want to tell you this because I did not want to ruin your friendship with Marinette; but Marinette threatened me in the bathroom to try and take away all my friends. Please don't help her succeed.

Trixx looked up at Alya who was going through both backlash from the false information, as well as gratification for correction of her mistake. "So what DID you expect from your friends?" She asked careful to hide her simmering anger.

Alya sighed. " I guess I expected them to ask me how I came to that conclusion. Not tell me I was wrong or blame Marinette who actually had nothing to do with it." Alya explained.

Trixx nodded. "And Lila?" She prompted cautiously.

Alya's eyes narrowed. "The denial? Sure! The quest to get ahold of me to talk about it? Absolutely! The accusation towards Marinette? Not Like That!!" Alya said firmly.

Trixx's eyebrows furrowed. "Not like that?" She repeated in confusion.

Before Alya could respond her phone went off startling them both. The caller ID said Lila. Alya stared at her phone for a moment before grabbing it to answer. (On speaker so Trixx could listen.)

"Hello."

"Oh my gosh I'm so glad you finally answered. I swear whatever Marinette told you to get you to remove that post was a lie. I would never give you false information that could hurt your blog like that. Marinette has just hated me since we first met!" Lila's voice rang quickly threw the phone.

Alya hesitated from the amount of hurt in Lila's voice and would have sworn that she was crying; or at least close to crying. But she saw Trixx's eyes narrowed in suspicion, causing her words from last night to come back.

"That girl has created an illusion of herself. I doubt she even knows who she is anymore." Trixx had said.

Did that mean Lila did not know she had lied? She did mention a disorder that had gotten Marinette temporarily expelled, though students weren't given the details.

"Look Lila, I'm sorry I didn't answer sooner. My phone was left on the charger while I showered and had breakfast with my family. But I did not remove your interview because of Marinette, someone else had pointed something out that should have been obvious to me." Alya replied in an assertive tone.

"Oh!?" Lila replied in genuine surprise. "Who?" She asked this time in almost a detestful tone that surprised Alya.

"Um..." Alya looked at Trixx knowing full well she could not explain who her kwami is.

"Rena Rouge! Ladybug finally set up an interview with her for me. Which I need to let you go so I can start the editing before going to the mall with Marinette and Nino. But hopefully I will have it posted before going to bed tonight, and will fill in the rest of the blanks." Alya said confidently.

"Oh, okay what mall are you going to?" Lila asked in a sweet siren voice that sent a shiver down Trixx's spine.

"The Large outdoor one by the Eiffel Tower." Alya replied nonchalantly not noticing Trixx's discomfort.

"Well have fun!" Lila said, then hung up before Alya could respond.

"That girl is more trouble than I originally thought." Trixx said imminently glaring at the phone.

Alya raised an eyebrow at the amount of distaste in Trixx's tone. Although Alya would be lying if she said she did not have a new perception of Lila. Shes was just not yet convinced Lila is a bad person, a liar yes; but Lila has still been very kind to everyone so far.

Seeing the look her holder was giving her Trixx went on to explain. "She's not just a deceptive liar, she is also a manipulator. That's why all your friends turned against your post instead of simply asking you about it."

Alya was not sure about that, but she also did not have time to ponder it that very moment. She had an explanation to edit into her interview with Rena Rouge.

"I will worry about trying to understand Lila's actions later. Right now I need to get my interview under way." Alya said sending a group text out to her class that an explanation for Lila's interview should be posted tonight.

Trixx smiled at that and both got to work editing the questions Alya had started the night before. Trixx would offer suggested questions that would bring the topic needed up without seemingly intentioned.

Once that was done Alya pulled out a hand recorder Nino had gotten her for Christmas. She hit the record button putting on her reporter voice and started to ask her questions loud and clear into the device.

After every question she would answer it under her breath so that there was enough time gap between the questions when she begins the actual interview.

They had just finished up when the door bell rang. They quickly put the interview material away and started getting their stuff together to head out.

"Ready to get this birthday underway?" Trixx asked happily.

Alya nodded then heard a knock at her door. Trixx flew into Alya's purse as Nora opened the door, Marinette and Nino standing behind her.

"Ready to get out of here little sis?" Nora asked.

"Absolutely! Let's go, we are already a half an hour behind." Alya replied looking at the clock in the livingroom, then at Marinette knowingly.

"Sorry Alya, I did try to get Marinette on time this morning. Happy birthday by the way!" Nino said embracing his girlfriend in a hug.

Alya chuckled. "Thank you, and dont worry I expected her to be at least an hour behind. So I think you did pretty good."

Marinette did not comment on the jab and simply hugged her BFF once her and Nino broke apart. "Happy birthday Alya!" She said kindly.

"Thanks Mari, are we ready to get this show on the road?" Alya asked.

Both Marinette and Nino nodded enthusiastically.

"Good then get out of here fly weights, and be sure to have her back by 4 o'clock for dinner." Nora stated in an intimidating manner.

At that the 3 of them scattered out the door, not wanting to tempt a repeat with a certain spider akuma.
