I don't own Night at the Museum

Washington D.C, 2009 A.D.

The door may have been closed but there was such a loud noise coming from within that couldn't be ignored. Pressing her ear against the door, she could hear the sound of metal crashing against one another, yells and commands being thrown from one person to another. Hold on...was that Ancient Egyptian commands that she heard? Taking a hold of the doorknob once more, she tried to pull it but no matter how much strength she gave it wouldn't budge.

"Ugh!" she grunted as she tried once more but got the same result.

"Never surrender!" she heard an unfamiliar voice coming from downstairs before it was overtaking by the Ancient Egyptian voice.

It seemed like there was a battle happening down there that she couldn't be a part of, but those voices that she heard, made her realize that she was not the only one in this strange place who was from Ancient Egypt. There were others and yet, she still didn't know whom they were. Her head turned back towards the dark sarcophagus that she had come into contact before.

Maybe this Kahmunrah person was down there, but why would he be fighting? What was his purpose in this battle and the goal that he was trying to achieve? Her hand formed into a fist as she knocked against the door. "Hello?!" she yelled against the frame of the door and continued to knock, "can anyone hear me?" She felt foolish doing this, but at least no one else was watching her. "Hello?!" she tried again but to no avail.

Waiting was a discipline that Neferet did not excel in and she wanted to go down there and see what was happening. She went against to try it but gasped when she noticed her hand frozen in a particular position. "Wh-what's happening?" she asked herself as her feet became planted to the ground. She tried to move but her sandals were glued to where they were and she couldn't move. She raised her eyes and right before her, she took notice of the bright rays of the sun taking over the world and right there, her world turned into darkness once more.
