A/N: Most characters and the main plot belongs to J.K. Rowling.

The next morning, Harry came back from his dormitory after taking a shower following his run, which Susan had once again joined. He still didn't know why it had annoyed Daphne, but there were many things he didn't understand about that girl, for example, why she kissed him the previous night. He was currently exhausted, as he had barely slept, because he was trying to work that out. Harry thought of sending a letter to Sirius and Remus, but thought that if he did, he would get teased about it all the time when he was home.

Once he entered the Great Hall, he noticed that the atmosphere wasn't the same as usual. People were huddled together, as if they were scared that whatever had happened to Mrs. Norris would happen to them, if they didn't stay together. Harry shrugged it off, he knew that it was wise to be on his guard, but he wasn't going to make a huge fuss over it. He made his way over to Hermione, and took the seat beside her. Once he was seated, and had shared greetings with Hermione, some of them looked at Harry curiously. They seemed to be whispering to each other about him, about what, he didn't know, but it still irritated him. He was just about to get up, when Hermione put her hand on his arm, basically telling him to stay where he was.

"Some people noticed that you weren't at the feast last night, and some theories have come out that you might have been the one to petrify Mrs. Norris." Hermione said, explaining why she held him down.

"But I wasn't even the only one who didn't attend, you were with me, so was Daphne, Tracey and Neville !" Harry exclaimed, a little louder than he thought.

Hermione sent him a glare, probably for speaking so loud in the Great Hall, for her, it was a place to finish waking up, and that had obviously been interrupted by his exclamation. "Yes," she continued as if nothing had happened, "but you are forgetting that you're the famous one, not us, therefore, they are bound to notice something."

"Oh, yeah, right, forgot." He said, it was an easy thing to do when you hung around with your friends all the time. The two of them ignored the stares, and finished their breakfasts. As it was a Sunday, nobody rushed much, some people were still in bed, so at least they didn't have to endure everyone's stares, but they still received quite a few. Once they had finished, they made their way out, Harry looked over to the Slytherin table and gave Tracey and Daphne a nod. They nodded back, understanding the message meaning that they were going to the Room of Requirement. Hermione did the same while looking over to the Griffindor table, receiving the same answer from Neville.

They made their way to the room in relative silence, Harry was contemplating a better way to train, whereas Hermione was still contemplating what Harry had said the previous evening. Something had been nagging her about the things he said, it was like there was something obvious which she had forgotten, yet she couldn't figure it out. She had spent most of the night turning over, not being able to sleep much because of it, and she was feeling the effects of the missing sleep at the moment. Harry noticed this, and told her to return to the dormitory to sleep, but she refused, saying she had things to do.

The two of them spent an hour training together, before the other three joined them. They trained for another hour, before Harry had an idea. "Guys," he began, and the other 4 joined him, "I reckon it's about time we start duelling each other. I know the dummies are good enough, but I just think it'll be fun, plus at least we'd still be training." He suggested. Everyone seemed to like the idea, and they were soon split in 2 sets of 2 people, with 1 person being the referee of the duels. Harry was paired against Neville, whereas Daphne was paired against Tracey, with Hermione being the referee.

"Alright, both duos, enter the two circles." Hermione said, pointing towards the two duelling circles which had appeared. They would be equipped with wards which would prevent any spells flying off further than the limit of the circle. The two duos of duellers each separated into a circle each. "Good, now, no need to do the bowing and all that, just start as soon as you're ready." She finished.

Harry was surprised, because as soon as Hermione had finished saying that, Neville shouted out "STUPEFY !", and a stunner made its way towards Harry, who just barely avoided it. Daphne was in a similar situation against Tracey, except she had launched a disarming spell, and Daphne put up a shield instead of avoiding it. Harry responded to Neville's stunner, with a silent 'Petrificus Totalus', which barely missed the boy. They continued like this for roughly 2 minutes, before Harry hurled a disarming spell at Neville, which he hadn't seen. Daphne and Tracey were still going, so he decided to watch them now. The two girls had begun sweating, and discovered that they would probably be needing to join Harry in his physical training, clearly wasn't enough to last long in a fight. After a couple more minutes, the two girls were completely exhausted. Tracey sent a weak tripping jinx at Daphne, and she collapsed, almost ready for bed, and they hadn't even had lunch yet.

As soon as Tracey noticed that her jinx had hit its mark, she sat down on the floor, well, more like fell to the floor. Once the duel had finished, the shield turned off, and Harry, Neville and Hermione made their way over to the two clearly exhausted girls. They handed them each a glass of water, which they took as soon as they arrived, and chugged it in an instant. They rested for a quarter of an hour, and at that point, Daphne spoke up.

"Well, I think we might need to join Harry on his runs and things, I never realized how tiring it is." She said, eliciting groans from the rest of the group, minus Harry, who seemed happy at their joining his running.

The next couple of weeks continued in a similar way. They would all go running in the morning, sometimes with Susan joining them, although, when she did, Daphne remained incredibly close to Harry, and made sure that Susan was at least a couple of meters away, not that Harry understood why. Everyone's stamina, minus Harry, had improved tenfold, although Harry's had improved a bit, it wasn't as substantial as the others, who had never been regularly running before. It was hard on them for the first week or so, because their muscles were pulling, and Harry still insisted on running every day. Eventually, the pain faded, and they were comfortable running every day. They had also been training harder in the room of requirement, each deciding to train at the same time, so there were multiple training circles, and the room's magic was being pushed to its limits, Harry guessed.

All the teachers had noticed the improvements in the five students, and they congratulated them for it, although Lockhart did say that if they ever needed help in their spell training, they could ask him, and he would give them a few pointers, which they all highly doubted. It was now time for the Ravenclaw-Hufflepuff match, and the hype in the castle was at an all-time high since the attack on Mrs Norris, because they had all heard of Harry's prowess on a broom, and it was said that he was possibly on the level of Charlie Weasley, who was one of the greatest seekers Hogwarts had seen this century, and that was after quite a bit of experience. No other attacks had happened since then, so the event was almost forgotten by everyone, well, everyone apart from Filch, who was still looking at every student as if he would hex them if he heard them talk about Mrs Norris. There were whispers around the castle that Filch was actually a squib. They had started when the Weasley twins had been caught setting up a prank, and the caretaker had taken them to his office. They were told that as they entered the man's office, there was a loud bang on the floor above, and the caretaker had left in a hurry, forgetting who he was leaving in his office.

Harry was a little nervous, it was his first match, and it wasn't like he had attended all of the practices either, so he was just hoping for the best at this point. He had heard that Cedric Diggory, the Hufflepuff seeker, was quite good, one of the best seekers in the school at that point. He decided that it was about time to head down to the Quidditch pitch now, so he got up, the rest of the team got up with him, Hermione wished him good luck, and he made his way out. The rest of the team tried to break his nervousness, and it worked, at least for a bit. His nerves began to come back around 5 minutes before the team left the changing rooms for the match, but as they returned, they were easily squashed by the arrival of his friends.

The team didn't interfere, as they knew that they needed their seeker to be on his best today, if they were to win. "Hey guys, what are you doing here ?" Harry asked them, trying to keep his voice calm.

"We're here to see you off, of course." Daphne said, as if it was obvious. Of course, it was, as there was no other reason for them to be here.

"Yeah, so keep calm Harry, no need to get all nervous, we already know that you are going to get the snitch, so don't worry about it." Neville reassured him, the others were nodding to show that they agreed. They continued to cheer him up for another two minutes or so, before they had to leave to find seats. They all hugged him, and he received another kiss on the cheek from Daphne, who left as quickly as possible. Hermione and Tracey were both sporting smirks, whereas Neville was looking as clueless as Harry. The two girls rolled their eyes at this, and left, Neville following shortly, but not after muttering something about never being able to understand girls, something which Harry wholeheartedly agreed with.

Harry lined up with his team, and they made their way out to the middle of the pitch at the same time as Hufflepuff, amidst applause. "Welcome to the second game of the season !" Lee Jordan exclaimed. "Today, we have Hufflepuff against Ravenclaw ! On the Hufflepuff team, we have their captain and seeker, Cedric Diggory, as chasers, we have Malcolm Preece, Heidi Macavoy and Tamsin Applebee, as beaters, we have Anthony Rickett and Michael McManus, and finally, as keeper, we have Herbert Fleet !" At this point, around half the stadium blew up in cheers. The Hufflepuff's made a lot of noise, considering they were rather quiet usually.

"On the Ravenclaw team, we have captain and chaser Roger Davies along with the other chasers Jeremy Stretton, and Randolph Burrow, as beaters, we have Duncun Inglebee, and Jason Samuels, as keeper, we have Grant Page, and finally, the one we've all heard about, their new seeker, HARRY POTTER !" As Harry's name was said, there was a thundering applause. It eventually died down, as they reached the centre of the pitch. "The two team captains shake hands, and they all get on their brooms. Madam Hooch releases the snitch. Remember, the team who catches the snitch wins its team 150 points, and ends the match. The bludgers are also released, and the Quaffle is thrown, and off we go !" As soon as it was thrown, all 14 players began flying around.

"Davies takes it first, passes to Burrow, who passes it to Stretton who misses it, and it is caught by Applebee, who in turn throws it to Preece, who throws it to- oh no, he gets hit by a bludger sent by Rickett ! Davies picks it back up, swerves around Macavoy, throws it to Stretton, who fakes a pass to Burrow, throws it back to Davies ! They are in the penalty area ! Davies throws ! No, it's a pass to Stretton, who scores ! 10-0 to Ravenclaw !" Lee shouted to the cheers from the Ravenclaws.

Harry wanted to push his broom to the maximum, and wasn't disappointed when he did. "Look at Potter, everyone ! He is currently testing out the prototype of the Firebolt ! It has already been considered by many teams for the next Quidditch World cup, and that's just on stats alone ! As we can see, it easily outstrips the brooms being used by any other player here !"

The match continued in an equal way. Right now, Hufflepuff were ahead by 10 points, and Harry was beginning to get cold, as winter was just around the corner. He decided to have a little fun with the other seeker, and so, he headed straight for the ground, and put on a determined look on his face. "I think that Potter has seen the snitch, and Hufflepuff seeker Diggory follows him !" Harry slowed down so that Diggory could catch up a bit, but not too much as to make it obvious. Once he was twenty feet from the ground, he noticed that the opposing seeker was close enough. As he reached 4 feet from the ground, he lifted the front end of his broom, and glided above the pitch, his feet touching the grass. A couple of seconds after he had pulled up, he heard a resounding 'thud', and a collective 'oooh' from the crowd, confirming that he was successful. Luckily for Diggory, the pitch was always applied with cushioning charms.

Harry decided that it was time to have some fun, and he went to play the interfering seeker. He did that for a while, until he noticed that Cedric was back on the pitch. He had managed to help his team gain another 20 points, putting them in the lead by 10. The game continued for another quarter-hour, and Hufflepuff had managed to regain the 10 points lost. Harry was looking over the pitch, when a caught a glimpse of gold in the corner of his eye, and then he saw it, the golden snitch. It was towards the centre of the pitch, and he made his way for it. Diggory noticed once again, but was hesitant to follow again, until he saw it for himself, and at that point, he pushed his broom to its full capacity.

"Potter is off again, and Diggory is too ! I think they've actually seen it this time ! Diggory's broom is no match for the Firebolt, look at it go !" The snitch was very evasive, and was slowly making its way around, in favour of Cedric. Harry wasn't having any of it, so he pushed his broom to the max, and caught it. "Potter has caught the snitch, Ravenclaw win !" He declared. As he did, deafening applause were heard all over the pitch. Harry raised his hand, showing the snitch, and they seemed to get louder, if that was possible. Harry flew over to Cedric, and shook the boy's hand.

"Well done there, Harry, you flew well." Cedric said over the loud noise.

"Thanks, so did you. Besides, You probably would have won, if I didn't have the advantage." Harry said with a shrug.

"I'm not so sure, I've never seen someone so natural in the air." Cedric finished. He pat him on the back, and then made his way to his team, and Harry did the same.

Once Harry reached his teammates, and they had landed, he was picked up, and thrown into the air. They soon made their way back into the changing rooms, while some of the Ravenclaw crowd went off to prepare a party.

Harry just exited the changing rooms, when he was tackled by a girl with blonde hair. "You stupid, demented, idiotic dimwit ! You scared me half to death with your showing-off !" She said, with each word, she hit him on the chest. In the end, Harry had to move back away from her, so she would stop.

"Calm down Queenie, I had it all under control, don't worry !" He said to her, looking at her eyes so that she knew he wasn't lying. Her mood seemed to calm a little as soon as he called her Queenie. He had been doing it less this year, and she missed it, not that she was going to tell him. Once she was calm, she walked up to him, hugged him, and buried her face in his chest.

"Well, glad to see that over with." Tracey said as she walked towards them with Hermione and Neville in toe. Harry nodded at her, and soon the five of them made their way back to the castle. Once they reached it, they went their own separate ways, and Harry and Hermione made their way to the party awaiting them in Ravenclaw tower.

A/N: I know it's a short chapter, but I've been busy with other stuff. I'll soon be back to school, but I'll be in my own apartment, so hopefully, I'll have a bit more time to write.

Replies:

Thank you to those who have been pointing out that not everyone has the same opinion on everything. I know some of you aren't happy with the way I've written some parts of my story, or even most of my story, but, from what I've seen, others have, and I can't please everyone.

Also, some people have pointed out that with the stocks that Harry has in the muggle world, there is no way he would have as little as he did. But something some of you are forgetting is that this is 30 years prior to our time, so the markets are very much different.

Once again, thank you for the support :)
