I don't own Night at the Museum

Washington D.C, 2009 A.D.

Neferet hid herself behind another pillar and prayed that she wasn't being hunted down by those strange monochromatic men. "Phew," she let out a puff of breath and ran the back of her hand over her forehead. She pulled back and felt that it was covered in sweat from all that running and fright that she had just experienced. This was going to be a long night, she just knew it and she didn't know if she was going to survive it after what she had just encountered.

Slowly, she poked her head from the pillar and noticed that the hallway was empty. My turn to go! she exclaimed as she gained stamina and began to run down the opposite side to where she was hiding. How big was this place anyway? No matter what path she took, she always came upon strange figures and this time she came upon an army of soldiers that was lead by a man with a tricorn hat.

Not this way she thought as she turned her direction and headed the other way only to see the monochromatic men making their way down the hall. Ugh which way?! She had to choose a route before she was discovered by those men. She took the path that in the direction where she had hidden behind the pillar only to come upon a dead end. Her hands formed into fists as she slammed them against the wall. Trapped! She could heard footsteps coming her way and hid behind one of the boxes. She noticed that another group of shoulders, very much different from the last two that she had seen gathered with the other two groups as if they were going to hold a meeting. Before she knew it, another figure came into a view and judging by the clothes that he had, Neferet easily came to the conclusion that he was Ancient Egyptian. Perhaps this was the man that she had heard last night from behind that doorway.

"I am Kahmunrah," the Ancient Egyptian male presented himself to the other three males that had gathered, "half god once removed from my mother's side and rightful ruler of Egypt. Future ruler of everything else."

Neferet titled her head to the side when she heard that familiar lisping voice. It was a voice that she had come into with many ages ago in Ancient Egypt at first introduction before it had developed into something more during those ancient times. Impossible she thought to herself as she leaned closer to hear what they were talking about but a small smile reached her lips.

"I have lost some men in getting so I am in need of some new generals to join me in my little plan in conquering the world," he stopped short from pacing and faced the three men. "Ivan the Terrible," he said to the man that was dressed in sixteenth century Russian clothing, "Napoleon Bonaparte," he spoke to the man with the tricorn hat that Neferet almost ran into, "and young Al Capone."

Neferet gently face palmed. The man that had threatened her with that Tommy gun of his was standing right there though her attention was glued upon Kahmunrah as he continued to speak to the three men and their armies that stood with them. After all this time, they met again once more and this time Neferet was not going to allow herself to be threatened.

"It seems that both Larry Daley and baby brother have escaped with my tablet in their grasp," Kahmunrah continued.

Baby brother? That meant...Ahkmenrah was here too? Neferet took a step back as a series of memories began to overtake her mind from the moment of her betrothal to the end of it. Many regrets that she had of what had occurred and given the circumstances, she couldn't go back to fix them.

"I'd like to wrap up the old meet-and-greet by asking you gentlemen a question. Are you with me?" Kahmunrah asked the three of them as they nodded their approvals in working with him. "Then being Larry Daley of Daley Devices, my brother, and the golden tablet of Ahkmenrah to me!" he exclaimed and the men went along their way.

Once Ivan, Al Capone, and Napoleon had left with their men, Neferet stepped forward but to her dismay the boxes toppled from the height that they were stacked in as they fell to the ground.

Kahmunrah whipped around and scowled in the direction of the noise. "Who goes there?" he demanded, "show yourself!"

Neferet rolled her eyes before placing her hands on her hips and walking around the boxes. "Now is that any way to greet an old flame Kahmunrah?" she asked, her voice dripping with a teasing tone of voice as she made herself visible to him.

Kahmunrah blinked a couple of times when he realized who was standing in front of him. "Neferet?"

"Hmm," she hummed out as her lips tilted into a smile, "in the flesh."
