I don't own Night at the Museum
Washington D.C, 2009 A.D.
Neferet felt herself staggering backwards as she crashed upon Kahmunrah's chest when he pulled her towards him. A bemused smile came upon her lips as she slowly raised her eyes and looked up at the man before her. "Hmm," she hummed out, "last time we were entangled like this was when we-" his grip tightened upon her and caused her to halt her speaking.
"Do not dare speak of it," he spoke to her in a warning tone of voice.
"Why not?" Neferet asked as she pulled back from him and slipped out of his grip, "it was quite the enjoyable experience. Weapon clashing against metal, us sweating, barely catching our breaths from that training. It was you who wanted to train me in fighting was it not? It was very helpful in the end of it all if I do say so myself."
"Where you barely survived," Kahmunrah reminded her. "Not even hanging from the balcony were you able to save yourself."
"That's ancient history," Neferet said as she glided away from him, "but I will add that as I was hanging from that balcony, I wish I had taken you down with me!"
There was that smirk on her lips that Kahmunrah, at this very moment, despised looking at. How dare she!. His hand lashed out as he grabbed a hold of her throat and pulled her close to him. "Tread lightly you cobra or you'll get your tongue chopped off." That's what she was. With those dark eyes that she had and the cunning personality that she had shown during those times, cobra was the proper name for her.
She grabbed a hold of his wrist and with all of her strength, she pulled his hand away from her throat. "Cobra? That's rich coming from a man who planned for years for the death of his own brother?
Kahmunrah leaned against the wall and looked at her straight in the eyes whilst beholding an amused smile upon his lips. "Did you forget that you assisted me in that?"
Neferet's eyes widened before she furrowed her eyebrows and glared at him. "I did not such thing!"
Kahmunrah only gave her a nod of his head and looked at her once more for a silent moment. "You'll have all night to figure it out. Now if you'll excuse me, I have a world domination to plan out."
"You tried that once and it didn't work," Neferet reminded him.
Kahmunrah halted in his steps with his back turned to her. "That was before I didn't have the tablet. It was buried along with my brother, but now that it's in my grasp no one will dare get in my way." He turned on his heel and looked at her. "Especially you my dear. Four thousand years is enough to make me learn of my past mistakes and you were one of them that I shan't repeat."
If he had been close to her, Neferet wouldn't hesitate and slap him across the face for saying that. "How dare you?" she exclaimed as her hand formed into a fist and her eyebrows furrowed.
"How dare you?" he challenged her. "Becoming a traitor not once but twice."
