Thomas got inside the house and threw his keys on the coffee table. He had not seen Zeus and Apollo and even if he was not a fan of them and they were not a fan of him, he had to admit that they were smart and that they knew their owner was no longer there.
It had only been a few hours since Juliet had been gone and yet he missed her. He missed her more than he imagined. She had probably arrived in Kenya with Ethan by now. Thomas had not done anything to stop her from leaving. He had to stopped himself from asking her to stay. He had said nothing because he had no right to prevent her from being happy. Until the last moment, until she left with Ethan, he wanted to say :
'Don't leave me, I need you.'
He needed her more than he wanted to admit. Their relationship had had a difficult start. They annoyed each other, they found it hard to stand each other. But they had managed to put their differences aside and they had become friends.
Gradually, Thomas realized that the friendship he had for her had changed. He loved her. Thomas Magnum had fallen in love with Juliet Higgins. He thought she would always stay with him, he could not imagine what his life would be like without her. But one day Ethan had arrived. Juliet had fallen in love with him and she was happy. In the end, that was all that mattered to Thomas.
To Juliet's smile, to her happiness, Thomas was ready to shut up how he felt about her.
