Episode 2

The second episode begins with Sonic and Tails high in the sky on the Tornado-2 as Tails' jewel radar started beeping.

Tails: Hey Sonic! We got a signal!

"They've already managed to find one of the shards?" Ikaruga said in surprise.

"Well, that was quick. Gotta say I'm very impressed with that radar of yours, Tails" Imu commented while Tails blushed.

"Aw shucks!" Tails blushed while chuckling a little bit.

Sonic: Oh yeah? Where?

Tails: Down there!

Sonic looks in the direction Tails is pointing at and sees a familiar small village and a jungle near the village. Sonic then realizes where the signal is coming from.

Sonic: Is that…? Alright!

Tails: What's up?

Sonic: We're in Adabat. It's been a while since we've been here, and I've been dying for a vacation.

"So, you've visited there before, Sonic?" Asuka asked him curiously.

"Yeah. Remember when I told you girls about the time the planet has been split into pieces? Well, one of those places that I've visited to restore one of the Chaos Emeralds is in Adabat. And man! It was the vacation trip I needed after restoring the planet together. Great beaches, Great food, a breathtaking view, you name it." Sonic explained.

"Wow! Perhaps we should visit there someday. We could all go for a vacation after our shinobi training." Homura suggested.

"And from all the different jobs that we've been attending lately," Mirai commented while Hikage nodded.

"Oh, you guys will love it. I've been there a few times when I've gone on vacation with Blaze and her friend Marine." Silver said.

The Tornado-2 lands at the docks before Sonic and Tails got out of the plane and walk into the village.

Tails: Maybe later Sonic, we've got a job to do, remember?

Sonic: Yeah, yeah. I know. It's called multitasking.

"I don't think I would call it multitasking when the fate of the world rests on your shoulders," Yagyū commented.

Tails: But Sonic…

Sonic: Aw, chill out Tails. We're gonna be fine. Just live in the moment.

Tails: The moment?

"Sonic, how can you be so calm about this when Eggman could be getting all of the shattered emeralds by now," Ikaruga argued with the blue boy.

"I guess you could say that I have been like that years ago, but after a while, I do end up trying not to waste much time in stopping Eggman." Sonic explained, "Guess in this timeline I still wanna live life to the fullest, no matter the situation."

Sonic: Yeah, look around. Blue skies, palm trees, beach waves. *relaxed sigh* and of course the-

Sonic interrupted himself when he vaguely heard a voice calling out to him, and the sound of footsteps slowly getting louder and louder.

"Am I hearing right or is someone calling out to Sonic?" Katsuragi asked.

"No, I think I heard it too," Yozakura confirmed.

Sonic heard closely until his eyes winded and his blood ran cold at the realization of who it was. "Oh no…"

"What is it?" Shadow questioned Sonic after seeing him having a look of terror.

"I think I might know who it is," Sonic said worryingly.

Sonic: Tails… do you hear that?

Tails: Yep.

Sonic: Ehh. That's my name being called right?

Tails: Yep.

Sonic: That sounds an awful lot like…

Sonic couldn't finish his sentence as he's been tackled by a pink blur, hitting him in the ground as Sonic grunts. That pink blur revealed to be none other than Amy Rose, hugging our beloved blue hero, much to Sonic's discomfort, on the floor.

Amy: There you are Sonic. I've missed you so much. *Kiss*

Sonic: Amy's here. Isn't she?

Tails: Yep.

"Sonic… Who is she?" Asuka said, innocently looking at Sonic while the others did this as well. But we all know that behind those innocent smiles, shows a very murderous aura around them after seeing their Sonic with a girl they don't know of.

"Uh… that's Amy Rose. You could say that she's been kind of obsessed with me since the first day we met. I don't see her as a girlfriend, but more like just a friend." Sonic explained awkwardly.

Sonic: Amy, can you please let me up?

Amy: Nope.

Sonic: Why?

Amy: Because you'll run away.

Sonic lets out a frustrated sigh

Amy: Now, now. No pouting. I have a surprise for you.

Amy then shows the duo a pink little flyer.

Amy: There's this super cute little shop that opened up around here that sells bath bombs! Oh let's go get some. You too Tails. They've got a peppermint scent.

"Bath bombs! Oh, I want one! I want one!" Minori gasped and jumped on her seat in excitement. "Can we get some, please!"

"Don't worry Minori. We'll go get some after this, ok?" Yumi promised to Minori and she responded with a happy little cry.

"Can we get some too Yagyū? I heard that they make your skin feel so fuzzy." Hibari asked her fellow Shinobi.

"Hibari… In a bikini… with bath bombs…" Yagyū thought to herself as she imagined Hibari in her pink bikini inside of a bathtub filled with bath bombs, ending up having a bit of a nosebleed and a goofy smile on her face.

"You actually like peppermints?" Murasaki asked the young boy with curiosity.

"Yeah, they're my favorite things in the world next to french fries. But, I feel like Amy is using this just to get Sonic to hang out with her." Tails responded.

Tails: Not right now, Amy. We've got an emergency situation.

Amy: An emergency? What's wrong?

Amy then got off of Sonic and grabbed his face to check on him.

Amy: Is he sick? Wait, you're not a Werehog again, are you?

Sonic: *Muffled* Amy…

Tails: No, no. It's fine. It's the Chaos Emeralds that are sick. Kinda.

Amy: Oh, the Chaos Emeralds? Okay, let's start from the beginning.

Sonic: Yeah… *Thud* ow.

Amy: Not you, you stay.

Sonic: *Whispers* Tails, help me.

"Ha! It looks like you're not off the hook yet." Katsuragi laughed at Sonic's torture.

"From the looks of it, yeah," Sonic said monotone.

~10 minutes later~

Tails: And so, now we're using my jewel radar to find them.

Amy: Wow, that sounds pretty bad. What about Eggman? Has he found any pieces of the Emeralds?

Tails: We don't know. It's hard to say. All we can do is find them as fast as we can and even if we can find them, we don't even know how to put them back together.

Amy: Why don't you let me join the team?

"I don't think she should even be involved in this in my opinion. She could only be an obstacle in their way." Shiki said.

"She may be annoying at times, but you shouldn't underestimate someone like her." Shadow commented

"I agree with Shadow on this one. She is one tough hedgehog I can tell you about, mostly from experience." Sonic said awkwardly as he remembered all the times Amy tries to whack him with her Piko-Piko Hammer after "forgetting" about their date.

Sonic: No!

Amy: Hush you, I was talking to Tails. Well, Tails?

Tails: Uh… well…

Before Tails could say anything else, his Jewel Radar goes off. Which caught Tails off guard.

Tails: Whoa! What the?!

Sonic: *Looks back at Tails* What's going on Tails?

Tails: I'm getting a stronger reading than ever before! In that direction over there!

Sonic: *Smirks* The jungle. Cool. Okay. No more playing around.

"Alright! They're finally gotten back on track." Asuka said happily.

Sonic then leaps out from underneath Amy, while said pink hedgehog fell on her butt, and sped towards the Emerald shards' location.

Amy: Hey!

Sonic: Sorry, Amy! We gotta go. Hero stuff, you know!

Amy: Wait a second! Tails!

Tails: Uhh… ungh. Sorry, Amy. Bye! *flies away*

Amy: COME BACK HERE TAILS! SONIC… YOU… YOU… AHHH!

"And I thought you had a bad temper when you're being ignored, shorty~" Haruka teased the short one-eyed girl.

"OH SHUT UP, COW TITS!" Mirai yelled in annoyance.

Amy: Oh who am I kidding? I can't stay mad at you. My love for you burns with the white-hot intensity of a thousand suns. *sighs*

"Are you sure that you two are just friends, blue boy? Katsuragi teased Sonic while the rest of team Hanzo, including Katsuragi, looked at him menacingly.

"O-Of course w-we are just friends! I mean I see her as a friend, but ever since we've first met she's obsessed over me. But r-really, she's just a great friend!" Sonic slightly stuttered as he panicked at seeing the girls, looking like they were gonna hurt him if he said something that would piss them off.

Lucky for him, the girls let him off the hook, for now anyway. Everyone else, on the other hand, was enjoying every moment of this as a few of them were either laughing or trying not to.

We transition to a high view of the jungle. The camera then pans down to a trail inside the intensity of the jungle. Suddenly two blurs quickly passed by. We caught up to the two blurs, revealing to be Sonic and Tails speeding through the jungle. While it was slightly easier for the two-tailed fox to traverse through the jungle; thanks to his ability to fly. Sonic was able to dodge all the obstacles that were in his way, by jumping over roots and/or tree trunks and sliding under said tree trunks that were a bit too high for him to jump at that speed. Sonic spin dashed to gain more speed while Tails was keeping up with him.

Sonic sees a short cliff and takes a leap of faith, 'hovering' over a small river that leads to the ocean or a waterfall nearby. Sonic landed perfectly and continued to run to their destination, with Tails following behind him.

"Whoa! That's so cool!" Asuka, Katsuragi, and Hibari said in awe after seeing that.

"Once again, you never ceased to amaze us with your speed." Ikaruga complimented while Yagyū smirked slightly.

"Heh, thanks!" Sonic smirks with pride, even though his face was heating up from the compliment coming from one of the girls he has deep feelings towards.

Sonic: Is that signal getting stronger?

Tails: Not exactly. We haven't even reached the source yet. But, we're gonna get there. Right… about… Sonic stop.

Sonic: *stops running* You see something?

Tails didn't answer him immediately as he walked over one of the bushes and gasps

Tails: Look!

Tails then pull out what appears to be a small white-colored shard.

Sonic: A piece of the Chaos Emerald. We found one!

"They already found one!" Minori said happily.

"At least they've made some progress." Ikaruga commented before questioning, "But, where are the rest of them?"

Tails: But the radar still says that there's more around in this spot

Sonic: Hmm. I wonder.

After Sonic thought this through, he looked at Tails and held his hand out.

Sonic: Tails! Hand over the radar.

Tails hands him the radar and Sonic runs over to a new area. In just a few seconds he came back with more pieces of the emeralds.

Sonic: Check it out!

Tails: More pieces! Just like Knuckles said! But… how?

Sonic: Beats me. But, we'll figure all that out later. Let's gather all these pieces first. There's more that way.

Tails: Right. Let's keep going.

After almost an hour of searching, the duo managed to find all of the pieces of the Chaos Emerald. They've managed to find a cave nearby to have a bit of space in case of what might happen next.

"Huh… Well, that was a quick search. I thought finding pieces of a chaos emerald shard will be tougher than I thought it would've been." Silver said in surprise, noticing how all the shards were near the same area.

"Especially inside of a dense jungle," Yumi said, agreeing with Silver while the others only nodded.

Sonic: Phew. Alright, Tails. It looks like we found them all. The radar's not picking up signals from anywhere else either.

Tails: You're right, this is it.

Sonic and Tails just stared at the shards in silence for a few seconds, until Sonic broke the silence.

Sonic: Sooo, now what?

"Yeah, what happens next? Is there even a way to put them back together or something?" Katsuragi commented in curiosity and a bit of annoyance.

"Knuckles mentioned that the pieces are connected and can be attracted to each other. Maybe they'll just have to wait until they react?" Yagyū guessed while everyone paid attention to the screen yet again.

Tails: Hmm. I don't know. The Emeralds have the power to attract each other. Soo, if the shards can do that too, shouldn't they just… form?

Sonic: I don't see why not.

Tails: Neither do I. *Sighs* I should be smarter than this. Why can't I figure this out?

"Don't worry Tails, I'm sure you two can figure it out!" Bebeby, Murasaki's stuffed bear, said to the yellow fox boy with encouragement, while Murasaki nodded with a small smile on her face.

Tails blushed at this, even though he knew that it wasn't the stuffed animal talking, it was actually Murasaki. He was just happy to hear some encouraging words coming from her, even though she wasn't as social as the rest of her team.

Sonic: Hey, Save the pity party for Eggman after we beat him. You're not giving up are ya?

Tails: No… It's just… it's just… it's just we have so much to do and I'm slowing us down.

"Wow, what's with the lack of confidence all of a sudden?" Ryōbi said in surprise, seeing Tails doubting himself while also feeling kind of relatable to herself.

"I know you've been through a lot before you've met Sonic, but why are you blaming yourself for slowing them down?" Miyabi questioned her 'teammate', thinking that he might have an answer to this.

"I guess you could say that I was still trying to be more helpful to my friends and sometimes thinking that I'm not helpful enough." Tails explained, his fox ears dropping.

Ryōbi couldn't help but feel that guilt she once felt when she still thinks it was her fault that Ryōki died and seeing her 'teammate' blaming himself as being weak and useless, well… you could say that it tore her heart out even though she doesn't show it.

Sonic: Wasn't it your radar that helped us find these in the first place? How could you be slowing us down, when you've gotten us this far?

Tails: But, I…

Sonic: I could never make something like that. You're the smartest person I know, Tails. One way or another, we'll figure this out. Count on it! We just can't stop moving.

Everyone in the room couldn't help but smile at the sincere brotherly bond these two had, always going through thick and thin in every situation. But Team Hebijo knows that he's right, ever since they've met the smart little fox boy, they've seen him as a very smart and clever boy at times.

Suddenly, the shards started to shine a bright light, getting the attention of Sonic and Tails. They both looked back and just stared in amazement. The shards slowly started to float and then began to spin rapidly. Electricity then begins to surge between each shard. But then the shards burst into thinner pieces and began to fall. They stood there for a moment until all of the shards began to form together. It then exploded into a ball of light, soon revealing the newly repaired Chaos Emerald.

"Wooooow, sooo pretty!~" Ryōna, Hibari, Yomi, and Minori all gushed at the beautiful display as their eyes sparkled.

"But, what did you do to fix them back together?" Ikaruga asked Sonic, who just shrugged and answered, "I have no idea. And I'm pretty sure the other me doesn't know either."

Sonic: Woah… I did it.

Tails: Sonic! You, you fixed it! How did you do that?

Sonic: I don't know. It just sorta… happened.

Tails: I guess we're still in the dark.

Sonic: That's okay. At least we know we can put the Chaos Emeralds back together all on our own Emeralds back together on our own.

Tails: Well, we may not know how any of this works. But, one way or another, we'll figure it out. So long as we keep moving forward. Right?

"Nuff said, little bro." Sonic chuckles and gives Tails a noogie.

Sonic: Heh. Told you, you were the smartest person I know.

Tails: Heh. Thanks, Sonic. You're the smartest person I know too.

Sonic: *Chuckles* Well, we got one Chaos Emerald with six more to go. Any idea where the next one will be?

Tails: It's definitely not here, that's for sure The signal reach may not be on a big scale but, it does cover a lot of ground.

Sonic: Looks like it's back to the Tornado and on to the next area!

Tails: Yeah! Let's get a move on! Eggman won't know what hit him!

"NYA!~ You said it, Tails!~" Ryōna cheered as she suddenly squished Tails in a hug in between her buxom.

"LET GO OF HIM BEFORE YOU SUFFOCATE HIM, YOU FUCKING PERVERTED AIRHEAD!" Ryōbi shouted before grabbing Tails by the arm. They both started pulling both of Tails' arms while said fox boy looked at Sonic and silently pleaded him to make them stop.

But before Sonic could do anything, Imu steps in. "Alright, you two, knock it off. It's not over yet, so you two better sit down and watch. Understood?"

Ryōbi pouted in response and sat down, while Ryōna whimpered like a sad puppy as she was expecting a more demanding tone from Imu.

After everything had calmed down, Tails looked at Imu, as soon as they both sat down, and thanked her, "Thanks Imu, you've saved my two tails back there."

Imu suddenly blushed and stuttered slightly, "Y-you don't need to thank me, Tails. Someone has to keep those two in check."

~Meanwhile in Eggman's Base~

Eggman: HAHA! I'm a genius. My brilliant mind has done it again. I restored a Chaos Emerald.

"What?! But, HOW?!" Katsuragi exclaimed.

"If you can be quiet, then we might know," Ikagura told Katsuragi with an annoyed tone.

Eggman: Though even I must admit, that the exact reason why it appears to be leaking energy is… perplexing. Ehh Regardless it's no cause for concern. Power is power.

Now… Where might the other six be?

"This is bad! Eggman has already restored one of the Chaos Emeralds!" Hibari said worryingly.

"Don't worry, Hibari. I know that Sonic and Tails will find all of the Emeralds before Eggman does, right Sonic?" Asuka measured her before asking the blue hedgehog.

Sonic looks back at Asuka and smirks with confidence, "We'll just have to wait and see."

OOOOOOOHHHHHH MY GOOOOD! I FINALLY FINISHED THIS CHAPTER!

*Ahem*

HEY GUYS! Hope you all are doing fine today! I am sooo sorry it took this long. I was really busy with college, I was dealing with personal stuff and all that jazz. But I was able to find the time to finish this so I hope you guys like it. Sorry if some moments looked rushed or don't make sense, I'll try to fix that on a later date.

Also, if you guys know about my first fanfic: Sonic The Hedgehog Movie - Equestria Girls, then you guys may think that I'm a fan of the mlp fim franchise and the fandom. And I'm not ashamed that I like it. But, after I saw the new G5 MLP movie, HOOOOO BOY! did this get me hooked up, even more, I loved it.

So you may expect a G5 fanfic from me in the future.

And also, Spider-Man No Way Home is going to be crazy when it comes out in December and I can't wait.
