"I will give you three one chance. You will let my champion do as he pleases, you will not threaten him nor those he treasures. If you do ANYTHING to try and harm him, or control his actions, I will know." he ended the statement with a barely concealed threat. They nodded rapidly, before he waved his hand. "Begone" He told them and they vanished in a burst of air. He removed his hand from my shoulder and turned to me. "Are you alright?" He asked. I couldn't answer since I was trying to comprehend what had just happened. He had just sent awaythe freaking Fates! How powerful was he! "Percy you there?" He asked as I snapped out of my stupor. I nodded, "Thank you for that." I thanked him. I saw his lips curl into a happy smile. "Of course my champion. I do not know who those peasants think they are, speaking to MY champion in such a manner." He said and I was once again shocked. He just called the Fates peasants! "What can I call you?" I asked him. He seemed to think for a moment before responding.
"Call me The Watcher."
Now
The Watcher, what a weird name. I thought to myself. His shoulders slumped slightly and he seemed to pout. "Well, I thought it was cool at least." He said in a dramatically depressed voice. I couldn't help myself from bursting into laughter. "Hey! Don't laugh at my depression!" He said indignantly, though contrary to his voice he sported a small smile. After I finished laughing I wiped away a few tears. "You are certainly different from any god I have ever met." I told him. He seemed to think for a second. "There is a very good reason for that, but honestly you are nowhere near ready for that kind of information." He replied seriously. I looked at him confused. "Can I ask you why I am not allowed to know?" I asked curiously.
"Let's just say, your view on reality would be greatly distorted if you knew why I am so different from the Olympians." He answered with finality in his voice. I nodded and looked around. I was somewhat surprised to see everything literally frozen. Birds were still in the air, mothers were paused mid stride pushing strollers through the park. Grover was frozen mid bite into an apple while staring worriedly over in my direction. He had probably seen or sensed the fates and got scared. "So when are you going to return everything to normal?" "In just a second. I just want to tell you some information before I leave. At stat level 25, 50, 100, 150, etc. you will unlock something called a perk tree. This will allow you to vastly improve your skills. Also when your base stats reach certain levels you will receive special stat related perks. " He said, somehow managing to get it all in one breath. I nodded, absorbing the information and storing it away for later. "Alright, thanks. Anything else?" I asked, looking up at him. Shaking his head he responded, "No that was it, good luck against the minotaur." Waving his hand he vanished. Like, literally. He just disappeared. No flash of light, no weird phenomenon. It was like he just folded space in on itself and vanished.
Time resumed and Grover came walking over to me after finishing his apple. "Did you see those three old ladies?" He asked nervously. I nodded, pretending to be confused, "Yeah why?" I asked. He got even more nervous. "Were they looking at you?" He asked in a scared voice. "Yes, they also snipped some yarn then vanished. Weird right?" I said, lying about the first part.
Lie Successful!
He paled considerably. "We need to leave now." He grabbed me and walked me back to the bus. "Stay here, I am going to try and find some transportation." He said running off. Deciding to follow in the footsteps of my previous life, I called for a taxi and had it bring me back to my mom's old apartment.
I gave the taxi driver a 20 and told him to keep the change, after flashing me a grateful and slightly questioning look he drove off. I pulled one strap of my backpack over my shoulder and sighed, opening the door to my mom's apartment building. I gave the desk clerk a small smile and he just nodded in acknowledgement before going back to his book. I prepared myself for the awful smell as I walked up to the second story. I fumbled around for my key and unlocked the door, walking in and shutting it behind me once more.
I cringed at the stale smell of beer and cigarettes. Gabe was sitting on the couch watching tv and playing poker with his two buddies. He looked at me and put his cigarette into the ashtray in front of him. "Brat, give me your money." He ordered. "Come on Gabe, the kid just got home." One of his buddies, Ed I believe, said in my defense. Gabe glared at Ed, the simple movement causing his fat to ripple.
"Shut up Ed!" He said angrily. Ed cowardly backed down, sinking into his seat. "I don't have any money." I told the walrus before me. I scowled and sniffed the air like an animal. "You probably took a taxi, paid with a twenty, most likely, a few dollars in change. Hand it over." He said. He was always good at sniffing out money, but this time I had an inventory to store my cash in. I put my pockets inside out showing him I had no money. He frowned but waved me off. "Whatever, get lost brat." He said going back to his game. I walked into my 'room' and sat down on my bed. Most of my stuff was pushed into a closet and Gabe's muddy boots were on the windowsill. I sighed heavily and took off my backpack, putting it under the bed. Knowing my mom would be home soon I decided to take a look at my stats.

Twenty-five points huh. What to spend it on? I thought to myself. I remember The Watcher telling me about the leveling system. If one of my base stats hits 25 then I will get a special perk specific to that stat. Int is at 20, so if I put 5 points into Int I will get a special perk. Well its all or nothing. I told myself before putting 5 points into Int.

As soon as I finished reading the description I got a massive headache. It felt like my brain was growing at an extreme rate. I held my head in my hands, feeling like it was about to burst. Thirty seconds later it stopped leaving me sweating and red-faced from the pain. I could immediately tell a difference though, I had so many memories I didn't have previously. I could even remember when I was born. PING!

It only leveled up that much after recovering all my memories from my entire life!? I screamed inside my head. It would take a lot to level this skill up. I jumped a little as I heard a knock from the door. "Percy, honey you there?" "Yeah mom, come in!" I responded, and she entered the room. She opened her arms giving me a sweet smile and I rushed to hug her. "I missed you Percy," She told me, kissing my head. I smiled and looked up at her. "I missed you too mom." I admitted. I really had missed her, in my past life I could not see her much because of the war effort. So being able to see her again was nice, despite knowing she would be kidnapped by Hades later tonight.
"So are you excited to go to Montauk?" She asked, pulling back. I nodded excitedly and was about to respond when Gabe's voice rang out. "Sally, you gonna make me some bean dip?" My mother gained a glint of disgust. It was only there for a second though before it disappeared. "Yes Gabriel, I will make you enough for the whole weekend." She said before going off to make it.
Time skip to later that night because the author is too lazy to write the entire interaction~
I was awoken that night by Grover banging on the door. I had the same dream as my first life too, it's good to know that the timeline is not too distorted yet. My mom opened the door revealing a frantic Grover. "Why did you ghost me earlier, we were supposed to go to camp!" He yelled frantically. My mother's head whipped towards me. "What is he talking about Percy?" She demanded. I gulped and told the truth. "I know I am a demigod, I was attacked by a monster at school and I killed it.. I was supposed to go to camp but I wanted to spend another night with you." I admitted. She smiled a little before becoming serious. "Boys get in the car now! I will take you to the camp." She said and we all ran towards the car. Grover and I got in the back seat and as soon as our seatbelts clicked mom slammed the breaks. As we were barreling down the road towards Camp Half-Blood Grover took off his fake feet and pants. Mom noticed and looked at me in the mirror questioningly. "So you also know about Grover?" She asked. I nodded. She sighed and returned her eyes to the road. The next few tense moments of silence were broken by a guttural roar coming from behind us. Grover cursed in greek and leaned forward. "Mrs. Jackson, can you go any faster?" He asked. She shook her head. "Not in this rain, it's too dark to see." She responded. Grover bit his lip and nervously watched behind us. "Do you know what is chasing us?" She asked him. He bleated nervously, "I hope I am wrong." he replied. Too bad he isn't wrong. I thought to myself. Another minute or so passed and we neared the border to camp. "Y-yes! We are almost there! Just a bit mo-" Grover was interrupted when a large uprooted tree landed in front of us. My mom slammed on the brakes and swerved. We crashed into another small tree and broke through it, but the momentum made us flip over.
I was barely conscious as I slowly crawled out of the broken window. I wiped some blood from my forehead and ran to the other side of the car. "Mom! Grover!" I yelled out trying to get their attention. I heard moan something about food in his unconscious state and saw my mom struggling out of the car. I helped her out and then grabbed Grover. "Come on, we have to get to the Camp!" I yelled and pulled an unconscious Grover and my injured mother along with me. I heard another roar and turned around to see the Minotaur coming out of the forest. "Shit!" I cursed and walked faster. If it had been any other time I am sure my mom would have smacked me in the head for cursing like that, but now was not the time for it. "Almost there." I panted, I had no clue why Grover was so freaking heavy for a skinny satyr. "I can't come with you honey. Go on without me." My mom said as I tried to pull both her and Grover up the hill. Despite knowing she had to be captured I still did not want to see her get hurt. "No! I'm not leaving you!" I said finally making it up to Thalia's tree. Grover and I walked through the barrier just fine but she got stuck on the outside. "Mom, come on!" I said pretending not to know why she couldn't enter the camp. She gave me a sad smile as the minotaur came up behind her. "I can't baby, I'm sorry." She said as the minotaur grabbed her by the throat, lifting her into the air.
I couldn't help but feel hate bubble up inside me when I heard her choking in the monster's grasp. She mouthed the words I love you before disappearing in a flash of light. I hated seeing her in that kind of pain, I hated the monster that did it to her. I pulled out riptide and uncapped it. I glared at the Minotaur with absolute hate, to which the monster raised its axe in challenge.
I used Observe to see how strong it was.

This beautiful celestial bronze blade was created when the Hesperide Zoe Nightshade gave up her immortal essence to create a weapon capable of harming the Guardian Dragon, Ladon. Even to this day it retains a deep connection to the sea.

I nodded after reading the stats and stepped outside the barrier, dropping into a fighting stance. I was almost instantly soaked in rain since it had picked up once more.

The minotaur was impatient as always and rushed forward. I knew I had no chance in a head on clash, but with my Dex being 3 times the minotaur's right now I easily dashed to the side. The monster slammed his axe down and it bounced off the barrier, blowing the axe over 10 feet away from the recoil alone. While the minotaur was distracted I stabbed Anaklusmos into its side.
Dmg- 1,000 x 10%= 1,100 Dmg!

It roared in pain and I leapt back taking riptide with me. It put a hand on the wound as black blood poured out. It glared at me which I returned with a cheeky smile. It roared again and charged at me, head lowered like a normal bull would. I smirked and waited until the last second to dodge to the right. "O-lay!" I shouted. I was loving the feeling of adrenaline coursing through my veins. I loved toying with this monster that had hurt my mother. Unbeknownst to me I had a growing audience behind the border.
The minotaur managed to stop about ten feet away and slowly turned towards me. It held immense hate in its eyes. Roaring it rushed towards me, managing to take me by surprise it punched me and I flew back into Thalia's tree. I instantly felt multiple ribs crack and blood spurted out of my mouth.

If I had taken that hit without having the Son of Poseidon boost I would have for sure died. Riptide had flown from my hand and landed too far away for me to grab. Seeing me get hurt badly the minotaur gave a victorious roar and pounded its chest. Smiling down at me it lowered its head and charged, trying to impale me. I heard Chiron gasp and quickly ducked under its head causing it's horn to get stuck in the tree. I quickly climbed onto the minotaur's back and grabbed its free horn, violently jerking its head to the side. It roared in agony and a loud snap echoed as I was thrown off its back. I hit the ground and rolled for a few feet.

Grunting, I stood up to see the minotaur with only one horn. I ran to the tree and grabbed the base of the broken horn. I tugged on it with all my might and fell back as it jerked out of the tree. I looked back at the minotaur to see it charging at me once more. It held its arms out in front trying to grab me. I weaved between his arms and thrust the horn up into its lower jaw. It immediately stopped moving and slowly crumbled into dust.
