The Forbidden Forest
Hadrian has his first encounter with true evil of the wizarding world.
Two weeks of detention. Harry had two weeks of detention in addition to his weeklong suspension from school after his feud with Ron Weasley had reached its inevitable conclusion.
"How are you doing mate?" Draco asked as they sat for lunch at the slithering table.
"Shitty." Harry said. Deciding to not tell his two best friends about his new contract with the Radio Demon.
"What happened?" Hermione asked.
"We had a meeting with Ronald's parents. I'm going to be Ronald's and their only daughters benefactor during their hogwarts years and open an account for each of them using funds from the Potter family vaults. They won't want for anything."
"Very generous." Draco said.
"It's not generosity its restitution." Harry said.
"Did they ever figure out who cast the compulsion charm on Ronald?" Hermione asked.
"No." Harry said. Lying to her. "It could very well have just been a stranger in diagon alley out to get me for some reason."
"Who's you're first detention with?"
"Alright, we're going hunting." Hagrid told Harry.
"Do I get a crossbow?"
"No ye got yer wand."
"A katana?"
"No."
"Tommy gun?"
"No"
"Old fashioned shotgun?"
"Boy I'm warning you! I will put you over my knee."
"Alright alright the bit is done!" Harry said as he walked out of the hut with Hagrid and his faithful dog Fang.
They walked for a couple of miles before Hagrid held up his hand. He pointed out a silvery substance in some bushes.
"See tha'? That's unicorn blood that is."
Harry felt shivers run through his spine. Unicorns where the closest things to heavenly beings on earth Blessed by God himself. Hunting them in the wizard of world was a class S felony pubishable by lifetime in Azkaban prison he had learned. Though their shed parts such as tail fur or shed horns where commonly used as potion ingredients and wand cores they where almost never taken from the unicorns body.
"What can kill a unicorn?" Harry asked . "Even in Hell they're known for being blessed by God."
"Something Dark and dangerous." The half giant said. "Get behind me!"
Out from the forests came creatures Harry had never seen before but stood in awe at. Half man half horse.
"Centaurs are real?" He asked Hagrid.
"It is only Rubeus." A centaur said.
"Not alone! Do you not feel that aura of the child's?!" An auburn coated centaur demanded aiming his bow at Harry.
Harry brought up his Hex bolts in preparation for battle.
"Bane stand down!" Hagrid ordered aiming his crossbow at the stallion.
"Bane the child is clearly a student of the school. Assisting Rubeus with some kind of task."
"I do not care what he is a student of! I went him out of this forest!
"You lay a finger on me papas legions will raze this forest to cinders." Harry threatened not dropping his hex bolts. "I am not afraid of you." Harry smashed his aura coated hand against a tree and left the trunk with a smoldering hole.
"Easy. Easy does it. Now Bane, I'm on the hunt for a beast that's attacking the unicorns. Harry here got nothing to do with it."
"Bane I'm warning you." The golden furred centaur said in a cautious tone. "You kill that boy you give the Ministry ammunition against us!"
"Perhaps ye best make yer way back to me hut." Hagrid whispers to Harry. "I can handle these two me self."
"Yessir." Harry said.
"Oi where'd ya think your going?" Bane demanded keeping his bow trained on Harry's head.
"Grrr I've had enough of you!" Harry said outstreatchimg his arm. "Accio!" The bow and arrow where yanked from Bane's
Harry whispered Hellish scripture and the centaurs watched Banes weapon burn away to ash.
"That was acromantula bone and thread!" Bane shouted! Stamping his hooves like a foal.
"Maybe next time don't hold someone hostage like a common Muggle thug. Especially someone who knows how to summon Hellfire. And could burn this forest to the ground himself."
"Harry. Go." Hagrid ordered.
Harry obeyed. But not before turning to wave his hands at his ears and blowing a raspberry at Bane making him get a furious look on his face before running back where he and Hagrid came from.
He should have paid more attention. Now he was lost. In the middle of the Forbidden Forest, Hellphone confiscated at Hagrid Hut. His only choice was to summon a will of the wisp.
Harry brought up his hand and whispered and cooed Hellborn magic into his palm before a fireball with eyes appeared.
"Hi. I'm Harry, can you help me find my way back to my friends home?"
The fireball's eyes closed as if smiling and made a "oooommm." Sound before zipping away. Harry ran to catch up to it.
Unfortunately, Harry lost it. And soon he tripped over a large branch covered log cutting his leg. He was in a small clearing, moonlight enveloping a horselike figure on the ground. A unicorn. It was dead. And a fresh kill.
"Oh shit." Harry whispered in what he recognized as terror. "Oh shit oh shit!"
A new figure emerged from the shadows. It's mouth dripping with silver unicorn blood.
Harry fell backwards as the creature floated towards him claws outstretched.
Harry reached back then thrusted his palm forward outstretched.
"Alastor! Come forth!" Hadrian poured Magic into his palm and the stag appeared. Spreading his fingers as it shined a green aura.
The mysterious figure recoiled. Then shuddered as a shadow moved behind the boy. Grinning a toothy smile.
"Why hello there Tommy Boy." A voice the figure never wanted to hear again greeted.
The being turned tail and ran as Alastor manifested.
"A bit anti climactic. I must say."
Harry collapsed in the red heads arms from exhaustion.
Alastor hummed as he carried his charge out of the Forbbiden Forest to a hut at the edge.
Getting to work Alastor tucked the lad in safely and began brewing a pot of strong tea on the fire. Cleaning and bandaging Harry's wound.
Soon the door burst open revealing on of the largest and hairiest creatures he'd ever seen aiming a crossbow at him.
"'Oo the ruddy 'el are you?" He demanded. "Where's Harry?"
"Greetings sir pleasure to make your aquaintance Alastors the name!"
"Maybe I shoulda asked what are ye."
"Oh it's quite simple sir see I'm a sinner!"
"Sinner?"
"All mortals are sinners in one way or another." Alastor said as he rummaged through Hagrids cupboards for mugs. "As for where Harry is he's right there in your bed. Poor lad exhausted himself summoning me."
"Summoning?"
"Part of the contract he agreed to." Alastor waved off Hagrids concern. "All standard procedure I assure you. Well I best be off, kettles boiling, the lad is safe and sound. Toodooloo!" The strange man said to Hagrid as he twirled his staff and walked over to a shadow on the wall and disappeared.
Stolas was doing paperwork on his desk. Standard approvals or disapproval's for various demands and addressing grievances from commoners and Overlords alike. His work never ended it seemed.
"I know your there Alastor." He snarled.
"Harry summoned me tonight."
Stolas put down his pen. "What happened he demanded.
"He was in detention for what happened with poor Ronald with his friend Hagrid the half giant when he came across a monsterous being drinking the blood of a deceased unicorn."
Stolas sat back in shock. "A mortal killing a unicorn? An impossible feat even for wizards."
"Your AVERAGE wizard." Alastor said. "Tommy Boy is active again."
"You speak as if you know this mortal."
Alastor flicked his hand and a contract appeared in bright red ink reading Thomas Marvolo Riddle.
"Proposition time!" Alastor said cheerfully. "In the event that I am handed Tommy Boy's soul on a silver platter I will graciously declare the contract between your son and I null and void."
"I could eliminate you right here." Stolas pointed out.
"Ahh but what would happen to your son?" Alastor clapped back. "It is unknown what happened to those with valid contracts when the contracter is wiped out it's never happened before or at least has not been recorded! No no no Lord Stolas you see it is I who has you by the balls forgive my vulgarity."
Dammit he's right. Stolas thought. He hated not being the one in control. Especially in matters involving his children.
"It won't be so simple however."
"What do you mean? I simply go to earth kill this Riddle fellow and being you his mortal soul."
"It would be that simple. If he had a whole soul to begin with..."
Stolas raises an eyebrow. "Explain yourself."
