Authors note: This chapter will be short but sweet as the epilogue will be long and hopefully satisfying. The last time Hans had a choice to make, what will he choose? We shall see...

Any way thank you for all of the reviews. Now for your pleasure, here is a new chapter, thank you for reading and please review when done.

He could not believe this happened, but it did. Now the question was, now what?

Sitting on the living room Hans looked into the fireplace where a roaring fire lay. As the fire blazed Hans was in deep though, pondering his feelings and what to do next.

Counting the pros and cons, listening to his heart, mind and gut.

"This is hard" though Hans frustrated as he rubbed his forehead when he heard a knock on the door, curious Hans turned to face the door, wondering who it was. After another knock Hans got up and walked over to the door, opening it. His eyes widen in surprise when he saw it was Kristoff and Anna.

"Kristoff, Anna" said Hans, not the best greeting but he was surprised.

"Um... I will leave you two alone" said Anna somewhat sheepishly as she turned and walked away to give them privacy.

Once she did that Kristoff asked "Can we talk?",

"Sure" said Hans as he closed the door behind him, Kristoff sighted, seemed to be choosing his words carefully before "I am not here to convince you to change your mind, its up to you what you decide and whatever you decide we will accept as we want you to be happy",

"Thank you Kristoff",

"What I am going to tell you is not to change your mind, but rather I feel that you should know this" continued Kristoff, his words being careful,

"What do I need to know?" asked Hans curious,

"I know how you feel, whats going through your head, I have been there and I do not blame you for feeling the way the do and doing what you did" said Kristoff as he leaned his head back "But I am sure when I say this, Elsa loves you, I even dare say that she loves you above all and she has shown it every day since... what happened".

Taking a pause for a breath Kristoff took Hans silence to continue "Elsa has not married, that I know you know, but did you know she never dated or shown interest in anybody",

"She does not need anybody in her life" began Hans,

"That does not mean she does not want somebody and thats you" said Kristoff,

"Why? I am not perfect, I am her would be killer" said Hans,

"But you did not kill her" countered Kristoff "Yes your not perfect but tell me one person who is, what matters is that your a good person, you have changed and have shown character that is not often seen and is very precious".

Hans said nothing about that, after a bit Kristoff said "You are perfect for Elsa, you are all she wants, she forsakes all others and was willing to wait a lifetime for you, I even go to as far as saying that if there had been a way to bring you back sooner she would have done it so",

"Why? I am not worth it",

"You are worth it and more to her" said Kristoff "I don't expect you to believe me as I know how you feel and have been in your shoes, but hopefully this answers some questions you have to make the choice a bit easier for you",

"Thank you" said Hans softly as he turned to go back inside. Once inside Hans saw from the window Anna coming back, taking kristoff and both leaving. As he watched the words Kristoff spoke stuck in his head. He had a choice to make, it would take a couple of days but he would decide soon enough.

Days passed and Elsa began to loose hope, yes she went on and continued her work and such. But she felt sad, Hans had not shown up yet and at this point she was ready to admit to herself that his answer was no, that he did not want to try again or that he decided to just leave and not come back.

It was hard but she got herself mentally and emotionally ready, ready to accept that that was the end of it and nothing was going to change it.

Till one day he showed up...

To say that her heart was racing was an understatement the moment she was told by her Stewart that John Winters has asked for a meeting with her.

To say that it took everything to keep herself to be composed as she made her way to the throne room and sat down. Just as she did the doors opened and Hans was let in.

Again Elsa remained as compose as possible, which was hard as she wanted nothing more than to run over and hug him.

He walked over and gave her a bow, "Please, don't" she said,

"But I have to" said Hans then added as he stood "I though about it, it was long, hard, it took everything I had not to run away... in the end I finally decided",

"Yes?" asked Elsa hopeful, her heart close to exploding out of her chest in fear and anticipation,

"As much as I want to, I cannot go back, but what we can do is move forward... but before we do this I only have two conditions" explained Hans.

"Which are?" asked Elsa slightly worried yet glad.

"The first is about Agnaar" Hans pauses when he noticed she made a bit of a face on this then continued "I know you do not like him, I do not expect your or Anna to like or welcome him back, but he is my father now and I will be taking care of him so I do expect you both to treat him cordially and with respect, if not for him then for me, as he comes with me... in events I will not expect you to invite him or anything, but I do ask that you let me know in advance, no surprises, as I will look for somebody to care for him while I am gone",

Elsa was not pleased but nodded, relenting as this was more than fair. Also she remembered that Hans had been more than cordial and respectful to Anna when she hated him, so it would not be fair if she refused this.

"The second?" asked Elsa,

"We will leave the past in the past, we will start all over again from square one, as if we never met... we will be friends, court, then see where it goes" said Hans then added "we will do things properly this time, no more of the stuff that happened in the past and maybe in time we might consider marriage, but it's too soon now as we both have changed to the point we may be strangers to one another, so we have to get to know one another before we do anything".

To this Elsa was definetly not happy about, yes it was true what Hans said. But she was tired of waiting, she wanted to marry him now, have kids, make a family. So hearing she had to wait even more for this did not make her happy.

As much as she wanted to complain about it she decided to cut her losses and nod yes, agreeing. Since this was the best outcome that could have happened considering what happened.

With that Hans smiled and bowed again "My dear queen Elsa Solberg, it's an honor to meet you",

"Like wise" said Elsa with a little smile as she decided this is probably not going to be that bad.

To be continued...
