Authors note: Hope your all enjoying the story, I apologize for not updating in so long. Sadly life got in the way. As a way to make up decided to put up some deleted scenes which I hope that will delight and add more context to the story.
Guest: Well yes her heart knew but she though it was a fool. As you know Hans had a what you would call a magical reconstructive surgery on his face after Agnaar threw acid on him, yes his face looks the same as his bone structure and such was not altered but Hans is a blond now with blue eyes. Yes hair dye especially bleach existed (I would not recommend it as victorian era hair dye is extremely toxic... like I am surprised nobody died toxic...) but the eye color cannot be changed like that. (In Hans case what happened was that the acid got into his eyes, yes they did get restored so he could see but the melanin of his eyes was never restored causing him to get the blue eyes he has now).
Of course Elsa not knowing this though she was projecting on somebody who happens to remind her of Hans and that she was being a fool to even think that Havi/John and Hans are similar or even the same person... which of course they are the same person.
But anyway, here is a clip, this shows a bit more of what happened before Hans ran away, also yes that Elsa did try but due to a combination of them not communicating and Elsas inexperience to say it was a disaster it was an understatement.
Deleted scene part: 2
Tired Hans walked along the streets, practically dragging his feet as he was exhausted. Looking up his eyes widen when he saw an inn.
With a small smile Hans entered the inn, it was empty, only a inn keeper who was in the front desk. As soon as he saw Hans he seemed to perk up, even more when Hans said "Can I have a room for tonight?".
Before the man answered they heard "He does not need a room"
Turning Hans was ready to scream in frustration when he saw Elsa standing by the door. She was dressed like a proper Victorian lady, with an evening dress, hair properly made and a hat. She was a vision but to Hans right now it made his blood boil.
Not saying anything Hans turned his head and pretended the old clock on the side of the desk was much more interesting as Elsa walked over to the inn owner and spoke "I am very sorry about this but my husband"
To this Hans head snapped over and he could not help but look at Elsa as she said that. He was not her husband! He was not her friend! He was just some possession of hers it seems! It took everything Hans had not to call Elsa out. He would have but he decided to keep his mouth shut, not just because he wanted to be the better person, but also this was a no win situation for him as no matter what he did he would be the one to be blamed and punished even if he did nothing wrong.
"My husband and I had a little disagreement... I have been looking for him to take him home" said Elsa before turning to Hans and said "Please, let's just go home, you already know I am sorry for what I did... let's just... please let's find a way to fix this"
Hans said nothing as he walked over to the inn keeper and said "Can I please have a room?",
The man looked sadly between him and Elsa and said "Listen sir, please go home to your wife, look at her, she is sorry" this made Hans angry even more when the inn keeper began to herd him and Elsa out the door... together "Just go home" then added in a whispering conspirators tone "Maybe you will get something from this tonight".
Hans have a death glare to the inn keeper as he quickly took off.
He heard Elsa call out but did not listen as he ran despite his tiredness.
Muscles ached, his chest heaved, his breaths were painful to him before he finally collapsed. Groaning Hans tried to force himself back up, but his muscles screamed in pain, it was as if hot coals were thrown over him. So he lay there, going in and out of consciousness before giving in, allowing the darkness to drag him into oblivion.
With a rapid breath Hans jumped awake, his adrenaline kicked in as he found himself in a strange room.
It was not an ugly room by any means, in fact it was easily one of the most luxurious rooms Hans ever stayed in. It was different shades of blue, the bed was huge, luxurious bedding.
Throwing the sheets to the side Hans struggled to get up only to collapse, his legs hurt so bad.
Forcing himself up Hans slowly limped his way out of the room only to slam against the person outside of the room.
"Hans" he froze and looked down to see Elsa. Biting his lips and angry Hans looked away from her. Frozen when she placed a hand on his face, he wanted to feel something, anything! Other than this negativity and anger, it was not doing him or her any favors.
"Hans... are you okay?" She asked gently, Hans said nothing, did not look at her.
"I... I asked for you to be moved to this room, next to mine... hope that is okay" she said,
"So that's that room" though Hans as he realized why it felt familiar. Looking around Hans recognizes the hallway he was in, it was the main one where all the royal family rooms were.
Then one of the doors opened up, looking he saw it was one of the princes who quickly went back inside his room, shut the door when he saw Elsa and Anna.
Hans felt the rage bubbling up inside of him again, yes sure other princes were allowed to have a room in this hallway while he, Elsa's supposed Fiance slept in the hallway near the guards, not that Hans minds as he enjoys their company.
"Oh... he is just leaving" Elsa quickly said then trying to distract him "You know... I was thinking we can take a trip... Just me and you... it's been a long time and we had such fun the last time".
"No... you had fun... all I was was your packmule" though Hans bitterly, he remembered that vacation very well... which he wished to forget as that vacation to the countryside of Arendelle turned from a getaway for just her and him to a family reunion where he was excluded, pushed out of the picture and forced to carry all of the luggage and gear around. It was truly a miserable time for him.
"I was thinking Iceland, maybe India, somewhere far away? We can spend a long time alone... it will help us" continued Elsa "I remember you wanted to visit Paris once",
"No Queen Elsa, was I recall you are busy with your kingdom and cannot be away for that long" said Hans, somehow controlling his tone of voice. No he did not want to visit Paris. He had gone there once and disliked it, he had told her before and they had a discussion about it. How could she forget?
"I can make time" Elsa answered hopeful that he would agree. "We can go after your medal ceremony",
"My what?" he asked confused then mentally winced in fear, he did not! Want to go through that again.
"Yes, Father was right, you do not deserve the medal or the ceremony" said Elsa making Hans wince a little.
"You deserve a better one, it was your courageous act of leadership that saved the day" said Elsa "For that it is best to honor you in a special ceremony... just for you... where I plan to award you the highest honor and medal... then afterwards we can take that trip",
"It's a lot of work, what will the council and your father think? Will there be time?" commented Hans when all he wanted was to scream,
"I don't care what they think, if they have a problem then I will shut them down" said Elsa hoping this worked...
How wrong she was... the answer almost made Hans blow up. She can make time?! Since when?! If she could why did she not make time before?! Why suddenly now she has all the time in the world?! And since when does she not care what her father and council think?! She never once stood up against them or even defended him!
The hypocrisy was so much, it made Hans angry and his heart break more.
Swallowing his rage yet again Hans asked "Queen Elsa please excuse me", he turned to leave but Elsa stopped him.
"Hans I want an answer" she said, to which he replied "I am sorry Queen Elsa, but I have to decline" then smiled "Why don't you ask Anna? Maybe both her and Kristoff and your whole family would want to go, the perfect family trip".
He saw a flash of regret in Elsa's eyes, regret of what he was not sure and he no longer cared.
"But... I want to go with you... just you" she said weakly.
"I apologize Queen Elsa, but I don't have the time or energy for this" Hans answers as he tried to pry his arm only for Elsa to hold on. Desperately gripping unto it like one would hold unto a life vessel.
"Hans please... let's work this out" pleaded Elsa.
Hans felt his heart crack, hearing her like that, but his resolve resumed as he remembered the past.
It was all flowery words, empty promises, she did not mean anything, she just wanted a temporary fix. He told himself before saying "I am sorry" before leaving.
