Last Time~

"Even someone with a will as strong as his can succumb to power, if they do not have something or someone to ground them in reality. With the power he is set to gain, he needs many connections to his humanity." He told her. "I understand. Thank you for telling me." Hestia told him, gratitude obvious in her voice. He reached over and cupped her cheek. "You are welcome dear. I hope you live a long and happy life with each other. Goodbye." The watcher told her, before rippling out of existence.

Now (somewhere on olympus)~

"Hic~" was the only sound emanating throughout a large garden. The beautiful garden sat in a rarely visited corner of Olympus, despite it being taken care of by nymphs once a week it was mostly abandoned. "Hic~." a lone goddess sat on a bench, bottles of Dionysus' wine around her. She had blonde hair and kaleidoscope eyes. Her mascara running down her cheeks, it was evident she had been crying. Four bottles laid scattered across the ground at her feet, one more in her hands. She took another big swig before hiccuping once more. She was staring at the ground when a pair of black sneakers invaded her vision. Her eyes trailed the person in front of her. Black pants, a black t-shirt and a pair of sunglasses. The man in front of her was lean, a small amount of visible muscle on his body. He had slightly tan skin, with a small beard on his face. Brown hair atop his head. "Is this seat taken?" He asked. She gave a very unlady-like snort and hiccuped once more. "Ssssure, sssit where you wahnt." She slurred, obviously VERY drunk. He sighed and sat next to her. "What is a pretty lady like you doing out here?" He asked casually, watching the fountain that sat in front of them.

"Jusst tryin tuh furget." She slurred, trying to adjust herself on the bench but ending up falling onto the man's shoulder. She giggled slightly and nuzzled his shoulder. He looked down at her through his sunglasses. "Trying to forget what exactly, if I may ask?" He asked politely, staring straight at her face instead of her bountiful cleavage sticking out from her dress. "How I am teh great whoore of Olympus of course! A woman every man only wantsss for ssex!" She yelled out, giggling softly all the while saying that. "Now why would you think men only want you for sex?" The man asked her curiously. She stared up into his sunglasses. "Do you even know who I am?" She asked incredulously. He smiled, "Aphrodite, Goddess of Love, Beauty, Pleasure, Passion, and Sex." He replied. She looked slightly impressed. "Then you know why men only want me for sex. Because it is the only thing I'm good for." She said sadly, taking another swig of her drink. Well, before it was abruptly snatched from her hand. "Hey!" Was her indignant cry as she desperately tried to reach for the bottle kept just out of her grasp. "Now now, I think you have had plenty to drink." He said. "Give it back!" She nearly started crying. He dropped it, shattering the bottle on the ground. She gasped and crossed her arms under her breasts making them raise up, and pouted. "Look at that. The oldest goddess pouting. You are kind of cute to be honest. Although I much prefer your original form." He said, resulting in her recoiling violently. "H-how do you know about that?" She asked, backing away from him. He just chuckled. "I still remember when Pontus brought you out from the sea, riding on a giant clam. You were quite stunning, much better than your current form." He replied nonchalantly. "T-that's not possible. The only beings around then were the titans and primordials, and you can't be one of them… right?" She asked nervously. He smiled kindly. "You would be correct to assume I am neither." was his reply. "Then what are you? Who are you?" She asked him, still nervous. "What I am is complicated, far too complex to explain in just one sitting. As for who I am, I have gone by many names. Far too many for me to remember. But a few stuck with me. You may call me Archelaus." He told her, taking off his sunglasses revealing rich brown eyes bursting with power. They locked eyes as her form started to shimmer. Like a mist slowly moving away, her body began to change. Her breasts shrank from their previous near F-Cup, to a still large DD-Cup. She shrank a few inches, stopping at about 5'4" from her previous 5'8". Her previously large behind shrank down to a smaller bubble butt. Her eyes changed from their usual kaleidoscope, to a rich ocean blue, like staring into shining lapis lazuli. Her hair changed from blonde to a silky black. Her skin went from white to a rich bronze tan.

The now named Archelaus reached up and stroked her cheek. "Archelaus.." she repeated softly, still gazing into his eyes. "The people's ruler." She translated. He smiled and nodded. "Beautiful." She whispered, unable to break his gaze. "Not as much as you." Was his honest reply, causing a golden blush to form on her face. He stood, placing his sunglasses on the bench where he previously sat. Kicking the bottles across the marble path, breaking two of them on their roll. He turned to Aprhodite and offered her his hand. "May I have this dance Milady?" he asked kindly, giving her a warm smile. Her small hand grasped his as he pulled her onto her feet. She wobbled quite a bit due to still being drunk but he placed his hands on her hips to steady her. Her blush increased and she once again captured his gaze. "May I sing you a song?" He asked. She silently nodded, placing her hands on his shoulders.

"I like that you're broken, broken like me
Maybe that makes me a fool
I like that you're lonely, lonely like me
I could be lonely with you,"

He sang and slowly began to dance with her. Her eyes shimmered, enraptured in his voice, carefully memorizing the song, branding this moment into her heart.

"I met you late night, at a party
Some trust fund baby's Brooklyn loft
By the bathroom, you said,"Let's Talk"
But my confidence is wearing off

Well, these aren't my people, these aren't my friends
She grabbed my face and that's when she said

I like that you're broken, broken like me
Maybe that makes me a fool
I like that you're lonely, lonely like me
I could be lonely with you"

He continued to sing, as a tear slowly leaked from his eye. They slowly danced around the fountain, broken glass crunching under their shoes.

"There's something tragic, but almost pure
Think I could love you, but I'm not sure
There's something wholesome, there's something sweet
Tucked in your eyes that I'd love to meet"

Tears slowly began cascading down her cheeks, neither of them bothered to clear them from their eyes, too enraptured in each other's presence and the song to notice anything else.

"These aren't my people, these aren't my friends
She grabbed my face and that's whens he said

I like that you're broken, broken like me
Maybe that makes me a fool
I like that you're lonely, lonely like me
I could be lonely with you

Life is not a love song that we like
We're all broken pieces floating by
Life is not a love song we can try
To fix our broken pieces one at a time"

Tears were nearly blinding Aphrodite's vision, but she could not look away from the man before her. He held so much emotion in his eyes. It told her he had experienced so much pain and heartbreak.. Just like her. A connection began forming between them, something neither of them were consciously aware of.

"I like that you're broken, broken like me
Maybe that makes me a fool
I like that you're lonely, lonely like me
I could be lonely with you
I like that you're broken, broken like me
Maybe that makes me a fool
I like that you're lonely, lonely like me
I could be lonely with you"

He finished slowly, his voice dying down with each final word. Aphrodite hiccuped softly, overcome with an emotion she could not identify. Or maybe it was so many that she could not distinguish between them. At that moment neither of them cared about the feelings inside them, only focusing on the other. She stepped forward slightly, lightly embracing Archelaus. He wrapped his arms around her waist and returned the embrace. They both silently wept, taking solace in knowing someone else understood how they felt.

"Would you mind telling me why you were so upset?" Archelaus asked softly. She pressed her face into his chest harder. "M-my boyfriend is out fucking some random mortal and my husband doesn't give a shit about me. Nobody cares about me, I'm just a pretty face after all." She said, sniffling softly. Archelaus rubbed circles on her back softly. "I care about you." He told her softly. She looked up at him, her eyes shining with hope, her chin resting between his pecs. "But you just met me." She mumbled quietly. He smiled down at her, amazed by how absolutely adorable she looked in that moment, cheeks puffed out slightly. "And? Maybe I just form attachments quickly." he said slyly. She giggled slightly and raked her hands across his back slowly. "Maybe I do as well." She said in a slightly flirtatious voice. They both shared a laugh and stood there for a few more minutes in each other's arms. No words were exchanged as they were not needed. He did not pay attention to her breasts mashed against his chest, and she did not pay attention how tantalizingly close his hands were to her bubblebutt. "Hey, um. Would you like to come back to my palace?" She asked, keeping her face against his chest. "And do what exactly?" He asked curiously. "Just hang out, I mean if you are okay with that." She said, tightening her arms around him. He rubbed her back, "I would love to." He said and they both vanished in a cloud of pink light.

They reappeared inside a lavishly decorated house, with pink walls, pink furniture, and pictures hanging on every wall. Most were pictures of her children, some of her past lovers. She caught Archelaus staring at some of the pictures of men and blushed slightly. "I like to remember the people I had been with. To some people they might just be bodies, but not to me. I loved each and every single one of them." she said, her gaze lingering on each of the pictures. She sighed softly and started walking towards a hall. "I will be back in a few minutes. Make yourself at home." She said, walking down the hall. Archelaus looked around for a few seconds before sitting down on one of the couches. After a few seconds of drumming his fingers on his leg, the brown eyed immortal snapped his fingers, changing into a pair of black basketball shorts, and a black breathable t-shirt. He waited for another minute or two before Aphrodite reappeared from the hall. She wore a baggy shirt and sweatpants, eliciting a raised eyebrow from the deity sitting on her couch. "What? I like to be comfy just as much as everyone else." She said, crossing her arms. He just smiled and patted the seat next to him. She smiled and plopped down on the spot next to him, grabbing his arm and putting it around her shoulders. He just chuckled and placed his hand on top of her arm and pulled her closer. "So what do you want to do?" He asked, looking down at her. She looked back up at him. "Do you like Gilligan's island?" She asked curiously. He stared back in surprise. "You do?" He asked incredulously. She just smiled. "Of course I do silly," she responded, slapping his chest lightly. "Who doesn't? It is hilarious. I like South Park as well." She said. His eyes widened even more. "Seriously?" He asked in shock. She nodded. "Why wouldn't I like them both?" She asked. "Well I get Gillgan's island, but South Park?" He said, still slightly shocked. "I like nasty humor just as much as the next person. Now which do you want to watch?" She asked, turning on the tv. He thought for a few seconds. "South Park. It has been a while since I have seen it. Let's start at Season 1." He told her and she flipped through some channels, finally finding South park Season 1 Episode 1. She clicked play and they started watching it together.

Archelaus and Aphrodite spent the entire day watching south park. They laughed, sometimes crying as well they had laughed so hard. At the end of the day they fell asleep together on the couch, his arm wrapped around her shoulders, her head laying on his right pec. His head leaning on hers, happy, truly happy. For the first time in a very long time, they were both happy.

AN: Hey everyone, I know this chapter didn't continue the quest and I am sorry if that is what you were looking forward to. I just wanted to develop Aphrodite's character as more than a two bit whore. She deserves more respect than that. I plan to develop more of the olympians as well later on. I hope you liked the Archelaus X Aphrodite scenes in this one. I had an amazing time writing this, easily the most fun chapter I have written so far.
