Laguna Beach
Quinn stirred from the sunshine coming in through the screen door and hitting her face. She stretched her limbs out slightly and frowned when she felt the space next to her was empty. The brightness was almost blinding and she rubbed her eyes for a few moments before her vision finally adjusted.
Just then Santana came out of the bathroom with her hair pulled back into a high pony. She had shedded the tanktop and changed into a black Adidas sports bra. Quinn's eyes trailed over her body, not knowing where to focus first: toned legs, tan abs, or cleavage. Quinn felt thirsty all of sudden.
"Good morning," Santana smiled. "Enjoy the view?"
"Good morning," Quinn replied, feeling her cheeks warming up.
"You certainly weren't shy last night," Santana chuckled. She leaned over to Quinn, smirking and hazel eyes met brown ones. Santana wore a playful look and leaned in to kiss her, but Quinn covered her mouth.
"Morning breath," she mumbled.
Santana laughed. "I don't care. Come here."
Quinn shook her head. She squealed when Santana got on top of her and pinned her wrists down.
"Noo!" She began shimmying to dodge the advances.
Santana hovered over her and leaned down until their faces were inches apart. Quinn looked at her with wide eyes, drawing her lips into a thin line.
Santana grinned and started placing kisses on her jaw, trailing down to her neck. Quinn shifted before finally relaxing. The kisses felt amazing and she turned her head to give more access. Santana smirked in victory and nipped down gently causing Quinn to release a soft moan. She ran her tongue over the spot and sucked softly. She then kissed her way back up to the parted pink lips. She connected their lips together before Quinn could protest.
Santana's hold loosened on her hands and Quinn took the opportunity to flip them over and pull back. She was straddling Santana now who stared up at her with a hungry look.
"Come here."
Quinn shook her head. She bit her lip and purposely grinded down causing Santana's jaw to go slack. She giggled and quickly got up.
"All about the teasing and not about the pleasing," she winked before slipping into the bathroom.
Santana laughed and threw herself back on the bed. She took a few deep breaths trying to calm her arousal. They didn't go further than an intense make out the night before and somewhere along the way, the tension between them had turned into a teasing game. She shuddered thinking of having Quinn's body so close to hers again. It was addictive in the best way possible.
She got up and tried to shake off the dirty thoughts as she made her way into the kitchen. Blaine, Sugar, Mercedes, and Sam were already there sitting around the island with breakfast bagels.
"Long night?" Sugar asked with a smirk.
Santana bit into the sausage egg and cheese and shook her head with her mouth full of food.
Mercedes laughed and handed her a glass of orange juice.
Santana swallowed before responding. "Where are the Puckermans?"
"Puck's over a girl's dorm in Irvine and Jake's still in bed," Blaine answered. "So what's the plan for you guys today?"
"Cedes and I are gonna go check out the gift shops around here and then hit the beach to surf," Sam replied.
"Babe, you're gonna surf and I'll tan," Mercedes corrected.
"Girl count me in," Sugar added.
"How about you San?"
"Yeah the beach sounds good. I have different plans with Quinn in the afternoon and at night so we can all hang out together till then."
Sugar sighed dramatically. "I need to find someone to do couple things with."
"Me too," Blaine agreed.
"So did you guys make it official yet?" Mercedes asked.
Santana smiled. "Ask me that later tonight."
"Ask you what?" Quinn asked, walking over to them.
"Nothing," Santana quickly responded and Quinn eyed her suspiciously.
"We should go see those gift shops now," Mercedes announced and Sam followed her to the door. "Join us at the beach later."
"Yeah Quinn, tan with us after you're done with breakfast," Sugar suggested.
Quinn smiled and nodded and the petite brunette went off as well.
"So how was your night Quinn?" Blaine asked.
"It was eventful…" Quinn said, glancing over at Santana.
"Good good, just making sure San behaves herself. Her snoring can get really bad."
"Hey! I don't snore."
Quinn laughed at the interaction and Blaine chuckled, getting up. "Let me not be a third wheel. I'll see you guys in a bit."
Quinn turned to Santana with narrowed eyes after Blaine went back to his room. "I know you're hiding something."
"Me? Of course not. I'm a pure soul," Santana wore a look of mock offense.
Quinn took a sip of Santana's orange juice. "Mhmmmm."
"Can I have a kiss now?"
"Nope. Not until you tell me what you're hiding."
Santana jutted her lip out.
Quinn sighed dramatically and complied, pecking her lips. When the pout didn't go away, she pecked her again.
Santana smiled and pulled her closer. "Don't be stingy. I didn't get enough last night."
Quinn shook her head, laughing lightly.

An hour later, Blaine and Sam were surfing in the ocean while Quinn, Mercedes, and Sugar laid on the beach gossiping and tanning. Santana and Jake had left them a little while ago to get drinks for everyone.
"Okay spill," Mercedes said.
Sugar's ears perked up as well and they both turned to face Quinn.
Quinn bit her lip. "Santana is… amazing."
Sugar laughed. "Wow you guys are really smittened. I'm so envious."
"Trust me girl, it isn't rainbows and sunshine all the time," Mercedes joked. "You have to give us more Q."
"A lady doesn't kiss and tell," Quinn smiled, leaning back and closing her eyes.
"I want to know too. None of the girls before stayed around long enough to spill the tea. I wanna know what her moves are," Sugar said.
"Were there a lot of girls or something?" Mercedes inquired.
Sugar hummed. "Well not a lot, but San used to bring around friends that come and go. She never tells me too much, but Quinn is the only one she's introduced as wanting to be her girlfriend."
"Hmm interesting…" Mercedes pondered.
"She's gonna kill me for telling you that," Sugar said to Quinn.
Quinn chuckled at how serious the brunette sounded. After her fit of jealousy from the day before, Santana assured and convinced her that she had nothing to worry. The way they kissed and cuddled each other made her heart skip a beat and feel so secure at the same time. Quinn had peace of mind now and that was enough.
"I have a feeling she's gonna ask me soon," she sighed dreamily.
"Before you make that decision, let me show you some embarrassing pictures."

The group of friends had lunch together before they split off into groups doing their own thing.
First, Quinn and Santana went to see the public art displays and the museum. It really wasn't Santana's thing, but she knew Quinn loved it and the beaming smile on the girl's face let her know it was more than worth it.
Afterwards, they explored the tide pools and got to see marine life before going snorkeling. They went back to the house to shower and dinner was more calm, just the two of them eating pizza on the couch while watching Friends. They spent the day laughing, stealing kisses, and enjoying each other's company.
It was nearly sunset when they found themselves walking on the beach again. They both had permanent smiles etched into their faces. It was the most fun either of them ever had.
"So Sugar showed me a picture of you from middle school," Santana looked mortified as Quinn laughed.
Quinn was referring to the Halloween pictures Sugar had shown her earlier from when Santana and Puck were 13. They had dressed up as Mario and Luigi. The outfit themselves were cute, but what made the pictures bad was the fact they were the awkward middle schoolers going through puberty.
"I'm gonna kill her," Santana groaned.
"You make a very cute Mario."
"Next time I come over to yours, I'm having your mom show me all your embarrassing pictures."
Quinn stuck her tongue out. "Jokes on you, I've always been cute."
Santana chuckled and led them down to the big rocks by the water. They each sat on a small boulder and there was enough space between them so they could face each other. Santana reached in between the cracks and pulled out a ukulele out of nowhere. Quinn looked at her curiously and she smiled.
"I express myself best through music," Santana began. "Since I've met you, I've found myself writing nonstop. You make me feel things that I've never felt before with anyone else. I love being around you and I hate seeing you with anyone else. I don't know how you did it, but you've turned me into a sap and now I'm going to sing you a song on the beach like saps do."
Quinn smiled softly as she waited to see what was planned.
Santana started strumming the ukulele, she had sung and performed in front of people countless times before, but right now only singing to Quinn felt more intimate than anything. She closed her eyes to focus on strumming and the words came to her easily.
Maybe it's the way you say my name
Maybe it's the way you play your game
But it's so good, I've never known anybody like you
But it's so good, I've never dreamed of nobody like you
Moments of their time spent together leading up to this point flashed through her head. Santana had a good idea of what Quinn's answer was going to be, but she still felt a ball of nerves about the next lines.
'Cause I'm in a field of dandelions
Wishing on every one that you'll be mine, mine
And I see forever in your eyes
I feel okay when I see you smile, smile
Wishing on dandelions all of the time
Praying to God that one day you'll be mine
Wishing on dandelions all of the time, all of the time
Santana took a deep breath and finally looked up at the girl who watched her with rapt attention. She wanted to let her know there wasn't anyone that even remotely compared to what they had.
I think that you are the one for me
'Cause it gets so hard to breathe
When you're looking at me
I've never felt so alive and free
When you're looking at me
I've never felt so happy
Quinn felt her heart swell at the sight before her and her eyes watered a little as the song continued. They were happy tears.
Wishing on dandelions all of the time
Praying to God that one day you'll be mine
Wishing on dandelions all of the time, all of the time
I'm in a field of dandelions
Wishing on every one that you'll be mine, mine
Their eyes were locked on each other and nothing else mattered. they both got up and Quinn walked into Santana's arms.
"Will you be my girlfriend, Quinn?" Santana murmured.
Quinn nodded and mumbled into her neck. Santana pulled back to look at her.
"Yes?" She couldn't contain the grin on her face, but she had to ask.
"Yes, Santana," Quinn beamed.
Santana felt her heart was going to burst with happiness. Quinn was her girlfriend. She hugged her tightly before beaming too. "You're mine now."
"And you're mine."

Santana took short breaths to control her breathing as they broke their intense kiss. Quinn's irises were completely blown as she breathed softly against Santana's swollen red lips. They were both feeling the euphoria of being so close to each other. It felt like they were floating.
Santana brushed their lips together in a gentle peck. Quinn kissed back slowly before pulling back to nestle into the crook of Santana's neck. Her hand had found its way under the girl's tank top and was drawing small patterns on her abs. Santana closed her eyes and wrapped her arms around Quinn.
Some moments later after their heartbeats had calmed down, Quinn pulled back slightly and brought her hand up. She traced her fingertips over tan features. She started between Santana's brows, treading lightly down the bridge of her nose before settling on her cheekbones. Santana smiled as her eyes fluttered open.
"You're gorgeous," Quinn murmured, following the curve of her dimple.
Santana chuckled and squeezed Quinn affectionately. She reached up and took the girl's hand into her own.
Quinn shifted a little so they were eye level. "Can I ask you something?"
Santana hummed playing with their fingers.
"What were you thinking when you wrote those songs?" The question wasn't out of insecurity, but rather out of genuine curiosity.
"Well Blaine and Puck helped me out a little with this last one. 'Dandelions' make me happy because they remind me of our lunch dates. And 'One Thing'... ever since I dropped you off at your house the first time, I couldn't get you out of my head," she admitted. "I felt this pull towards you that I never felt before. From the beginning I could tell that you were different."
Butterflies erupted in Quinn's stomach hearing those words and she leaned in to pressed a soft kiss on her lips.
"Your turn," Santana smiled. "What was your first impression of me and what did you think of the songs?"
"'One Thing' was very boyband but I loved it," Quinn giggled as Santana wrinkled her nose. "'Dandelions' was so sweet and I love that it's our thing now."
"Mhm, and first impression?"
"You walked in and I thought you were very cute. I felt the pull too."
Santana pouted dramatically. "You only liked me for my looks."
Quinn rolled her eyes good-naturedly. "Like you didn't like me for my looks. And you know it was more than that. You had this thing about you, I also thought you were charming and funny."
"Oh yeah, you were very hot too," Santana teased and wrapped her arms tighter around Quinn. "And yes, you kept up with my wit and you performed so well in the showcase. I love that you can sing and dance."
Quinn pecked her lips. "We should probably give Rachel a thank you gift for introducing us."
"We should. How about a dreidel?"
Quinn laughed as Santana grinned.

A/N: Girlfriends! So this story is tentatively complete here. Perhaps I will come back and dive more about Snixx and their senior year in the future, but for now this universe feels pretty satisfactory. I'll be moving on to a Quinntana drama called Romance in the Rain. Follow/favorite if you'd like to see what I have planned :)
*Update: I've combined and edited some chapters for story flow. What was originally chap 11-12 is now deleted and the comments too :(
