Big Mystery in the Royal Lautreamont Family
"I see, so the training camp was almost destroy by the Necromanica." Ozwald said as he just heard the whole report from Veronica and Laphicet.
"Yes, we were fortune enough that they were dealt with by the elf's Dragon Dance with her Parr." Veronica nodded.
"I never thought the Zepharos Empire would strike like this, are they trying to make a declaration of war?" Ozwald wondered.
"I don't think so, it was more like a test as they were experimenting." Veronica theorized
"That weird guy with the mask didn't care of the Necromanicas would succeed or not, but it was still very rude of him to use the dead like that." Laphicet puffed his cheeks.
"Yes, messing with the dead is an unforgivable crime that cannot go uncheck though I'm not sure how are to approach them." Ozwald said.
"We'll worry about that later, father. Right now, I think we should be focusing on the hosting partying our kingdom is responsibility for and besides, a representative from the Zepharos Empire will be at the party soon. So, we may get our answers." Veronica pointed out.
"Perhaps you're right." Ozwald nodded then Frida with Silva walks in the large room.
"Your Majesty, Princess Silvia has arrive with Ash Blake and his Parr Eco, Angela and Eizen are here too." Frida reported.
"Oh goody, sent Silvia in and show the other four the rooms they'll be staying in." Ozwald excited clapping his hands.
"At once." Frida bowed and she with Silva walk out.
"Father, did you invite Silva here just so you can have someone to talk with other than me?" Veronica asked with a deadpan expression.
"You got that right! It's boring being the king and there isn't anything fun to do around here, so I thought about bringing Silvia here to enjoy the hosting party." Ozwald answered cheerfully.
"Aw, that's sweet. Family should always take the time to enjoy each other's company whenever the chances come." Laphicet smiled.
"Laphicet, please don't fall to my father's childish level." Veronica worried for her dragon partner.
"I also have a big surprise for the extra guest I asked to come a little after dinner tonight which will involve Frida, Prim, and Cosette. I also want you to be there as well, Veronica" Ozwald mentioned.
"(Hope it's nothing foolish, otherwise it'll just be wasting my time.)" Veronica thought sighed.
"Oh yeah, there's actually something else I wanted to talk to you about, Ozwald." Laphicet said getting the king's attention.
"Oh, what do you wish to talk to me about?" Ozwald asked.
"Just wondering, did you and Veronica's mom ever had a sixth child?" Laphicet asked curious which made some confusion on Veronica and Ozwald's face.
"I don't think so, I clearly remember only having five children each wonderful in their own way and I'm thinking about having a family get together. Except for one who is no longer with us." Ozwald answered and became sad looking upon referring to his oldest child, Julius.
"Weird because that mask guy, Milgauss I think that was his name, had the scent very close to yours and Veronica." Laphicet mentioned shocking the daughter and father.
"Wait, what exactly did you mean by that?" Veronica asked.
"Well, during the fighting against the guy, I couldn't help but noticed the strange scent in the air which I thought it was Veronica until I realize there was another smell similar to hers and it was coming from Milgauss. Almost like they were related." Laphicet explained.
"Is that right?" Ozwald asked whisper.
"And there was also what he said to Veronica too, about when she was seven and couldn't get a Pal because she apparently scared the Mother Dragon or something like he knew about it for a long time and personally." Laphicet added.
"(That's right, Milgauss did say that back when we fought at the cave.)" Veronica thought recalled.
"That does sound suspicious, but like I said: I only have five children and I had my oldest child executed from the forbidden act of Dragon Slaying on his own Pal. Such a horrible crime is beneath forgiveness even for the son of the king." Ozwald stated clutching his fists.
"Well, if there is nothing else to talk about then we'll be on our way." Veronica said as she grabs Laphicet's hand and they walk away.
Laphicet look back at the king being sad one last time before they exit the room leaving the king alone.
"(Julius, I fear of what is happening to you right now.)" Ozwald thought looked out the window seeing the sun slowly going down the horizon while thinking about his son.
Laphicet and Veronica are walking in through the hallway thinking about going back to the ship for some training and maybe walk around the city for some fun though the little dragon boy of the Iron Blood Valkyrie is wondering about something on his mind.
"Is your dad made at me?" Laphicet asked.
"No, he is still having a hard time with my older brother's death done by his order years ago and wonder if he ever did the right thing." Veronica informed.
"So, being a king is never easy then." Laphicet guessed.
"Nothing in life is easy even for the royals, there is always something getting in the way and making things difficult for the people but we don't give in to those things because we remain strong and together nothing can stop us from doing what we believe is right." Veronica stated as she looks out the window seeing all the guards doing their duties of keeping the palace safe for the hosting party.
"Oh, Veronica, Laphicet." Silvia surprised as she walks up to them.
"Hello Silvia, you're about to see father?" Veronica asked.
"Yes, I take it you two have already spoken to him." Silvia asked.
"Just a while ago, yes. Be prepare when father see you." Veronica advised.
"I know." Silvia sighed knowing what her big sister meant.
"Better not keep Paladin waiting, see you two later." Silvia said as she walks away.
"It's really nice seeing you getting along so well after all these years." Angela commented as she walks up to Veronica and Laphicet, along with Eizen, Frida, and Silva.
"Hello Angela, you wouldn't happen to have any idea of what father is up to for dinner tonight?" Veronica asked.
"Not a clue, I just thought it might be something important since we're unexpected Breeders." Angela shrugged.
"Where are you guys going?" Laphicet asked.
"Frida and Silva are escorting us to the library, I've always wonder what kind of amazing stories and ancient history this palace has." Eizen answered.
"Sounds neither of you two can keep your noses out of the books." Veronica chuckled.
"Can I say, Veronica. When I feel like doing some reading and researching, I can't stop until I finish them all." Angela winked.
"Come along you two, you still have plenty of time before you are being summoned to join dinner with the Paladin tonight." Frida reminded them as she walks ahead.
Suddenly Laphicet's nose started twitching like something have tickle his nose from the inside which will cause him to sneeze at any second.
"ACHOOO!" Laphicet sneezed causing a strong wind to blow toward Frida and it lifts her long skirt up revealing her naked butt to everyone as they are shock and causing Frida to blush of embarrassment.
"Excuse me." Laphicet said as he smiles.
"My word, Frida, I had no idea you would be the commando type of woman." Angela teased as Eizen looks away just before he saw the head maid's butt.
"Uh, this is something I was not expecting when I returned home." Veronica surprised to see Frida actually doing something so daring.
"No, no, no, no, no, it is NOT what is looks like! It was Prim's fault, she screwed up on the job when cleaning a room and my underwear is still getting clean." Frida explained while blushing mad.
"Sorry about that." Laphicet chuckled, then suddenly got punch across the face by Silva.
"You dare humiliate my Breeder; you're going to pay with your life!" Silva declared throwing another punch.
"Hey, I said I was sorry." Laphicet caught the fist and pushes Silva back.
Laphicet and Silva started throwing punches at each other clashing fist to fist, though the fight was only short live after Veronica and Frida managed to separate them with Eizen's help of putting a little rock wall between them.
"Silva, you should know better than to pick a fight with your alley and friends. I know you were just trying to defend my honor, but that doesn't mean you can attack anything that looks at me the wrong way." Frida scolded holding her little dragon boy in her arms.
"Besides, he already apologizes for the sneeze. So, say you're sorry for attacking him and we'll be on our way." Frida said with a soft smile.
"Okay." Silva nodded.
Frida put him down and Silva walk up to Laphicet after he was put down by Veronica.
"I'm sorry for punching you." Silva apologized.
"It's okay, I'm sorry for the sneeze. I really hope we can be friends." Laphicet offered his hand of friendship to Silva.
"I still think you're a weirdo, but I guess you're not all bad." Silva smiled a little and took Laphicet's hand as they shake.
"Sometimes, it not always easy for others to get along as that kind of connection takes time to form but the result will be worthwhile." Eizen said.
"Couldn't agree with you more." Angela hugged Eizen's arm between her breasts causing him to blush like crazy and that makes her giggle.
(Later, in Veronica's Room)
Laphicet is sitting on Veronica's lap with his head resting on her breasts as she sits on her bed having some deep thoughts about the mystery surrounding Milgauss and the connection with Julius her gut is telling her that there is more to this story than meets the eye.
"Hey, Veronica." Laphicet said, getting his partner's attention.
"Yes, Laphicet." Veronica looked down.
"What was your big brother like?" Laphicet asked curious.
Veronica hesitated at first but decided to tell her dragon partner about her older brother.
"Julius was a strong young man, destined to rule the kingdom one day and being a strong Dragonar with his Parr, Mordred. In combat, Julius was amazing and even beaten me whether in sparring or serious fights, he would always beat me, but he was also very kind treating everyone fairly as the statues of royalty didn't matter to him. He was truly amazing." Veronica explained about Julius and remembering the things he used to do including sparring with her during training.
"Sounds like you looked up to him a lot." Laphicet pointed out.
"I did at the time." Veronica said.
"Your dad mentioned something about dragon slaying. Did Julius really killed his own dragon?" Laphicet asked.
"…He did. It was a shock to all of us, none in the entire kingdom would have thought that Julius would slay Mordred and I remember the look in his eyes of sadness." Veronica mentioned.
"But why? There must have been a reason." Laphicet stated.
"Nobody knows. We got the chance to hear him out because he asked father to execute him, and so he died being known as the man who killed his own Pal which brought shame to our family name." Veronica said with a serious look on her face.
"But you care about him." Laphicet said holding Veronica's hand.
"Yes, I still do. Which is why we're going to the Royal Mausoleum tomorrow morning." Veronica suggested.
"The Mausoleum? Like the graveyard place back at the training camp?" Laphicet asked.
"Yes, I'm getting a strong feeling about the attack was caused by Milgauss and the Necromanica that Ash Blake not too long ago." Veronica said.
"Also, the fact that my father is a terrible liar." Veronica added.
Then they heard knocking on the door.
"Princess Veronica, Laphicet. It's time to meet with the king." Frida called out.
"Alright, time to go see what my father wants." Veronica sighed.
"I think it'll be something exciting!" Laphicet smiled.
(Paladin's Throne Room)
Everyone has gather in the throne room where Ozwald has waited patiently for them to come. Ash, Silvia, and Eco are dress fancy in suit and dresses for the occasion.
"Welcome, you must be Ash Blake. I heard a lot about you, quite the handsome young man you are, and you must be the lovely Eco, your horns are enchanted!" Ozwald complimented the two.
"I must thank you both for coming all this way. Please, relax and enjoy yourselves." Ozwald advised.
"I can't believe we were so nervous about this." Ash said seeing this king a nice person.
"I like him, this super-duper old person is easy to talk to." Eco smiled, Ash quickly cover her mouth and pushes her head down and Ozwald just laughs.
"That girl sure likes to talk whatever comes out of her mouth." Silva commented.
"She does." Frida sighed.
"I want to thank you for taking care of the Necromanica incident and the Willingham Mausoleum affair with the help of my daughters and the newly Breeders as well. You're all heroes in my book." Ozwald bowed at Ash and Eco and to everyone else.
"Please, your Majesty, there is no need for a Paladin to bow at us." Frida said with her cheeks blushing a bit.
"The king bowing to us! Am I dreaming or something?" Prim asked surprise.
"No, we're all experience this and it makes my flutter." Cosette said.
"Big respect from the king." Zavid commented.
"Despite what Silva and Veronica say about him, he truly is a wise king who treat his people kindly." Dezel stated
"And so, from this day on, I am declaring you six brave warriors Dragonar." Ozwald announced.
Veronica, Ash, Frida, Prim, Cosette, and Angela are all shock of what the king has just said.
"Hold on, is this the very reason why you summoned us all here?" Angela asked.
"That is correct." Ozwald nodded.
"Not that it's a great honor, but I thought the title of Dragonar are only supposed to go to the more experience Maestro riders like Princess Silvia." Ash pointed out.
"Normally yes, but Eco, Laphicet, Silva, Zavid, Dezel, and Eizen are very special dragons. It makes no sense to measure them with other regular dragons with the same yardstick. Besides, given the splendid showing they did so far, can you all be sure they aren't Maestros already?" Ozwald asked.
"He does raise a high point, we're dragons in human form and we can already form Arc armors for our Breeders in battle something that would still take a long time for others to do." Eizen understand the reason.
"Plus, Frida deserves the highest respect." Silva said proudly as Frida blushes from that.
"Are you sure about this, father. Some of us don't have enough combat experience and I'm not sure if I deserve this." Veronica said, having doubts.
"Veronica, my dear little warrior. You have proven more than you realize to earn the right of being a Dragonar as the rest of you have not for just your strength, but your strong determination and connection to your Pals. And I believe Silvia feels the same way." Ozwald looked over at Silvia.
Veronica look at Silvia who has a proud smile on her face and nodded along with the strong proud look in her eyes that almost made Veronica cry, she felt her hand being grab and look down seeing Laphicet with the same expression as well making her smile.
"I accept, father." Veronica said.
"Guess there's no turning down the ranks." Ash smiled.
Soon, all the Breeders knee in front of the Paladin with a sword in his hands and gentle tap their shoulders.
"In accordance with my power. I, Paladin Ozwald, declare that Ash Blake, Veronica Lautreamont, Primrose Shelly, Cosette Shelly, Frida Shelly, and Angela Cornwell are hereby made Dragonars!" Owzald declared.
"Thank you, my king. You honor us." They said at the same time.
"Hell yeah, let see if anyone's gonna think twice about messing with a maid." Zavid smirked.
"A bookworm fighter, this should be interesting to see how this goes." Eizen smiled, proud for Angela.
"Go, Frida!" Silva raised his fist in the air.
"(Ash and Veronica are now Dragonars. And if someday Ash becomes an Arc Dragonar, he would have the same statues as a nobility which means he will be eligible enough to marry royalty. Wait, marry?!)" Silvia thought blushed of the idea of marrying Ash.
"You okay, Silvia? Your face is red." Laphicet asked.
"It's nothing." Silvia looked away to hide her blushing face.
"Doesn't look nothing to me." Dezel said.

Veronica, Ash, and the other Breeders have been promoted to Dragonar as they will do their very best to not make the king regret the decision and it looks like Silvia is suddenly having thoughts about being with Ash more than she realize. The mystery about Julius and the masked man Veronica has been thinking about will come to realization soon as she will find more clues and the answer will be reveal in the dance party.
