On the Toon City docks; Luz, Amity, Sonic, and Willow were sitting on a bench and looking around.
"You sure this is where Gus will be appearing from?" said Amity.
"Positive, he said he'd open up a portal around here." said Willow.
Sonic pulled out a pair of binoculars and started looking through them around the place.
He stopped when he saw a portal appearing and saw Gus emerging from it.
"We've got portal action." said Sonic.
He then saw Bria wearing a brown jacket over a blue demon realm shirt, grey leggings, and black boots emerging from the portal as it was closing up.
"And I think I see Bria." said Sonic.
"Let me see, let me see." said Amity.
She grabbed the binoculars and looked through them.
However the binoculars are chocking Sonic because they are the kind you wear around your neck.
He tapped on Amity's shoulder and she became confused before looking at the predicament and became shocked.
"Whoops." said Amity.
Interview Gag
"Still not used to the different kinds of binoculars there are." said Amity.
End Interview Gag
Amity removed the strap from around Sonic's neck and looked through the binoculars again as Sonic tried to catch his breath.
"Dang son, how was Gus's storyline the center of attention over what me and Luz went through?" said Amity.
"I blame the writers." said Willow.
Luz took the binoculars and looked through them.
"Oh yeah, I recognize her. I wound up talking Gus into helping her out. Still can't believe it was for the wrong reasons." said Luz.
With Gus and Bria.
"Try to remember this much, just because I agreed to this, it doesn't mean I don't fully trust you yet." said Gus.
Bria nodded.
"I understand Gus, but I promise I have changed." She said.
Gus sighed.
"I want to trust you, but I don't know if I can right now." said Gus.
"Relax, by the end of the day, you'll see that I've grown from the scammer you met all that time ago." said Bria, "So where to first?"
Gus pulled out a map of Toon City and opened it up before looking through it.
"How about a movie?" He asked.
Bria nodded.
"What'd you have in mind?" said Bria.
Gus pulled out a piece of paper that had a list of films in theaters.
"Jungle Cruise?" said Gus.
Bria did some thinking.
"Is that an adventure film?" said Bria.
"I've heard." said Gus.
"Then yeah. Let's see Jungle Cruise." said Bria.
The two walked off.
"Let's move." said Willow.
Her group got into Sonic's car and the hedgehog started it up before driving off.
"I just hope Gus knows what he's doing and doesn't try to overdo it." said Amity.
Luz turned to Amity.
"You just about went over the top on our first date." said Luz.
Flashback
Amity was looking at a check list labeled 'The Perfect First Date' and some of the things on it were Delicious Food, Best Looking Outfit, Beautiful Flowers, and Thoughtful Gift.
She started making lots of food.
Later; she was ironing out her Grom dress as her brother and sister were watching.
"Should we even tell her that she's overdoing it?" said Emira.
"No, I want to see how this turns out." said Edric.
Later; Amity was making a bouquet of flowers and started to become noticeably tired.
Later; the Cotton Candy Haired Goddess was wrapping up some presents before finishing up and looked at her check list and put a check next to Thoughtful Gift.
"There we go, now the perfect first date can begin." Amity said before yawning.
Later; she and Luz were in their Grom outfits and having a picnic while Luz was laughing and Amity was fighting the urge to fall asleep.
But the witch ended up resting her head on Luz's shoulder and fell asleep.
Luz smiled.
The human took off her jacket and placed it on Amity.
End Interview Gag
"Okay, you got me, but in all fairness, Hooty started the whole over doing it thing by making that tunnel of love and kidnapping me." said Amity.
Later; Gus and Bria were in a movie theater sitting on ground level watching Jungle Cruise while Sonic's group was on a balcony seat spying on them.
"So far so good!" said Sonic.
Amity who has Popcorn nodded.
"Agreed." She said.
"Should be good, I've seen this film five times already." said Luz.
Everyone looked at the human.
"I was referring to the date between Gus and Bria." said Sonic.
"I know I was." said Amity.
"Oh." said Luz.
"I wonder if there'll be any kissing between them." said Willow.
Sonic shook his head.
"Doubtful for two reasons, the first reason being that because of the history between these two, there's a long road that needs to be traveled down before Gus can fully trust her again if she's legit. The second reason, you don't just kiss someone on the first date." said Sonic.
Luz and Amity blushed.
"Yeah, we might have done just that." said Amity.
"We did." said Luz.
Willow became confused.
"How, didn't Amity say she fell asleep on the first date after spending lots of time trying to make it perfect?" said Willow.
"It was during the picnic." said Amity.
Flashback
Amity was setting up the picnic area while fighting the urge to sleep, then Luz appeared and sat down on the picnic blanket.
"I think you've done well for yourself Amity." said Luz.
She looked at Amity and became shocked.
"Whoa, what happened, are you okay?" said Luz.
Amity yawned and tried to smile.
"Yeah, I'm fine, I just spent half the day preparing for this moment. I wanted our first date to be perfect." said Amity.
Luz chuckled.
"When I first asked you out, I was wanting a perfect moment for that to happen, but then Hooty had his nervous breakdown." said Luz.
"I remember." said Amity.
"But Eda told me that there's never going to be a perfect moment to ask anyone out and it doesn't ever need to be perfect. Just the fact that you're here makes it a perfect first date." said Luz.
Amity blushed.
"You always have a way of sneaking into people's hearts." said Amity.
She reached into the picnic basket and pulled out a cupcake and gave it to Luz before grabbing one for herself.
"Please don't let there be still alive fairies in this thing." said Luz.
Amity chuckled.
"Don't worry, there isn't any." said Amity.
They each took a bite out of their cupcakes, but Luz accidentally splattered some frosting on her left cheek which she noticed.
"Oops." said Luz.
"Here, let me get that for you." said Amity.
She then kissed Luz's left cheek, removing the frosting from it.
The human then splattered frosting on Amity's right cheek.
"Oh butterfingers, now it's my turn." said Luz.
She kissed Amity's right cheek, removing the frosting.
"When do you two share a kiss already?" Sonic's voice whispered.
A smacking sound was heard.
"OW!" Sonic yelled quietly.
"You know something, I'm really glad we asked each other out." said Luz.
"Me too." said Amity.
"You're the most beautiful and awesome girlfriend I've ever had." said Luz.
Amity blushed.
"Nowhere near as beautiful as you." said Amity.
Luz blushed happily as she and Amity kept on staring at each other.
"So are we going to kiss or not?" said Luz.
Amity placed her hands on Luz's neck.
"On three?" said Amity.
Luz did the same thing with Amity's neck.
"One, two, three." the two said at once.
They then kissed each other.
End Flashback
"Well that was bold." said Sonic.
Back with Gus and Bria.
"So who's the buff guy in real life? He looks like he could give anyone in the construction coven a run for their money." said Bria.
Gus did some thinking.
The others noticed and groaned.
"Aw crap, we should have prepared for this." said Amity.
Sonic did some thinking.
"Hang on." said Sonic.
He ran off before return with a walkie talkie and pressed a button on it.
"Testing one two, testing one two, testing." Sonic said in the walkie talkie.
Gus who had some type of ear bud like device in his ear became shocked.
"Don't panic, I just slipped a Bluetooth device into your ear so that Luz, Amity, Willow, and I can guide you through this pre date. Right thumb up if you understand. Don't worry, we can see it since we're on a balcony seat watching you." said Sonic.
Gus raised his right thumb.
"Good, now talk about the male lead in the film. He's known as Dwayne Johnson, he was a wrestler for something called WWE who was known as The Rock. Eventually found success as an actor and stared in some great films." said Sonic.
Gus held his right thumb up again.
"Try not to nod whenever any of us say anything, you'll just draw suspicion on yourself." said Sonic.
"Oh that buff bald human? His name is Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson." said Gus.
Bria became confused.
"The Rock?" said Bria.
"Before hitting the big screen, he was a well known wrestler for this human federation called WWE, which is all about wrestling obviously." said Gus.
Bria nodded.
"I see. Any human films of interest he's ever done?" said Bria.
Luz was looking through her phone as Dwayne Johnson's filmography before using the walkie talkie.
"He was in a film called Skyscraper, Rampage, The Tooth Fairy, two Jumanji films-"Luz said as Gus was reciting everything that his human friend was saying to Bria.
"He was also in a couple of films in the popular human film series The Fast and the Furious." said Gus.
Bria is impressed.
"Ok wow, that's impressive." spoke Bria.
Gus nodded.
"And He was in G.I. Joe: Retaliation and a TV Series called Young Rock." said Gus.
Sonic turned to his female friends.
"I never told him that, you?" Asked Sonic.
Luz and Amity shook their heads no.
"I know I couldn't have." said Willow.
"He's even going to do about two films part of a comic book franchise from DC Comics. One called Black Adam, the other DC SuperPets." said Gus.
"You know, for someone who thinks they didn't know much about the human realm, you sure know your stuff, almost like you're listening to voices in your ears telling you everything to say." said Bria.
Gus gulped.
"Well when the door to the human world was opened at the Owl House Luz showed me a thing called the Internet and I just looked up Earth Movies!" admitted Gus.
Interview Gag
Luz, Amity and Sonic were in the confessional and sighed.
"Wow, we don't give Gus enough credit then he needs." said Luz.
"I know, for a twelve year old, he sure is smart." said Amity.
Sonic scoffed.
"Please, Tails is eight years old and he flies my plane around." said Sonic.
Lastly was Gus.
"What can I say, got to know my stuff." said Gus.
End Interview Gag
Bria blushed.
"You know, I'm actually glad for this." said Bria.
"We still got a long ways to go before trust can be restored." said Gus.
Bria nodded.
"I know." said Bria.
"Where will they go after this film ends?" said Willow.
Sonic did some thinking.
"Maybe an arcade." said Sonic, "But they're going to need a shitload of quarters."
Everyone nodded.
"Good thing the Toon City Youth center has its own arcade among other things." said Sonic.
