Chapter 3- Training Part 2 of 2

This is quite a long chapter but its also important, covers a few things about Percy and also you can see Percy's fighting ablities against monsters by himself later on in this chapter. There are small parts if you want to skip but I recommend reading it all, it's quite important and shows Percy progressing. Also read the author's note, quite a few important things there

"And now!" ordered Lupa and immediately Percy striked his sword forward. After consistent pleading, Lupa had finally allowed Percy to learn the basics of using a sword in combat. For the past 3 hours he had been trying out basic techniques outlined by the Lupa as the beginning of his training in swordsmanship. 2 months ago, she also began teaching him how to use a dagger for close combat and he was doing fairly decent in it. Lupa also said that after he started progressing in using a sword, she'd teach him archery. Apparently, no pupil of her should lack in archery, so Percy agreed, not wanting to disappoint Lupa.

"Do it again," cut Lupa's voice in the middle of his musings as Percy formed back into his stance and began his rep again. He was starting to get a hang of using the sword, learning to control it properly. One of the first things the Mother of Rome had drilled into his head was that a sword was an extension of yourself. If you use it properly with the correct techniques, it will not fail you, but you have to learn to guide it properly in order for the weapon to work for you.

They were interrupted by a flash of light beside Lupa and an extremely beautiful woman appeared. Her face looked like royalty and she had long black hair that flowed downwards to her shoulders. She was carrying a staff in her hands which had a white lotus flower on top and she was wearing a dark blue cloak that was made of goat skin and she had an aura of discipline and power around her. Percy looked at her for one moment before realising who it was.

"Queen Juno," Percy bowed immediately. Lupa had taught him the honorifics when being greeted by a God or Goddess.

"What brings you here, my lady?" Percy asked

Juno looked at Percy for a few moments.

"Rise, son of Neptune. I am here to speak to Lupa for a few moments," replied Juno, studying her nephew closely, more curiosity than malice in her eyes. Percy looked at Lupa and she nodded.

"Go downhill. Continue your reps for another 20 minutes and then go over the history lessons and battle plans I taught you today morning. I'll be testing you on those later," confirmed Lupa.

"Yes, Mother Lupa," Percy nodded, bowed to the Queen of the Heavens once again and then sprinted off.

"Quite a polite child," mused Juno, "Surprising, considering his father is known for his abrupt nature. But then again, I guess he is as much of Neptune as he is of yours,"

Lupa raised an eyebrow to this.

"Mother Lupa? I've never heard another demigod refer to you as such," inquired Juno.

"Well he's had quite the effect on me and as such I have been the main parental role in his life. And as riveting as this conversation is, I assume you're here for a different reason Juno?" questioned Lupa.

"I saw that you inducted my champion to the legion recently," Juno spoke after a moment.

"I taught Jason what he needed to learn. He's quite the warrior, learning from the age of 2 and still thriving. I see not much more I could have taught him for the time being, so I thought best decided the son of Jupiter be inducted into the legion and to start familiarising himself into the life of New Rome. We both know Jason is going to grow up to being a leader and so the longer he is in the legion, the more he can learn about it and the more respect he can build up over time," replied Lupa.

"Yes, I've been watching over him. He's made quite the reputation among his fellow legionnaires and is pushing himself to be better," said Juno. Both goddesses fell into a silence for a few moments before Juno continued

"And what of Perseus Jackson?"

Lupa was silent for a few minutes before speaking

"Perseus is a special case. He is built differently and his mind works in a different way. He is easily changeable and can adapt to any situation. Also being Neptune's son makes him different. We both know how powerful his children are and if guided properly, how much they can impact the course of history. That makes him different to other Romans. I need more time to train him, to prepare him for what may be coming," Lupa stated. Juno thought for a moment before nodding to Lupa.

"I can see how your training has begun to change him. He has even attracted my husband's attention. Jupiter may not admit it, but even he is interested in Perseus's arrival and what it means for Rome. I presume you are training him to be more than just a legionnaire?" asked Juno.

"Rome needs someone who is more than just a soldier or a leader that is commanding an army. It needs someone who is capable of doing tasks alone. To be sent on solo missions to hunt down enemies or monsters, retrieve objects or turn the tide of a war all by himself by infiltrating and disengaging the enemy. I believe our young Perseus could be that person. But it'll take a bit more time before he is ready," said Lupa. To her this felt like déjà vu, repeating the thoughts of when she took in Perseus. Juno looked at her for a few moments before nodding.

"An admirable plan, if not a bit ambitious. I wish you luck on this Lupa," Juno said before disappearing in a divine flash of light.

9 year-old Perseus was wresting with a water spirit, courtesy of Salacia at Lupa's request, and he wasn't faring too well. His divine abilities wouldn't do him too well here as water wouldn't do much against a water spirit so he had to rely completely on his combat skills. He was using a basic rudii provided by Lupa as he deflected a side attack from the water spirit, before rolling underneath the spirit and swerving his blade back with full power and pushing the spirit back. This surprised the water spirit for a moment, before he ducked at the last second, rolled to the side and attacked Perseus's left but Percy saw it coming and side stepped, grabbing his wrist and hitting him on the head with the hilt of his sword. Immediately, the spirit fell down onto the floor and was met face first with Percy's blade, a few centimetres from his eyes and for the first time Percy emerged victorious. Immediately he let his guard down when the spirit surrendered and that was his mistake. Percy felt his sixth sense buzz crazy and he reached into his defence stance but it was too late as another water spirit attacked him from the back, pushing him a few feet back.

Lupa smiled as she observed the fight. She wanted to see how well Percy would manage if there was a surprise attack. Percy immediately regained his bearings and saw that he was up against 2 opponents. He knew this would be a difficult fight as both of them had their weapons but he refused to give up. Lupa had taught him to never back down, never show fear and to always find another loophole to win. He wouldn't fail. He analysed both of his opponents. The first one was still a little dazed from the attack to the head and the second one seemed to be a bit over confident after taking Percy by surprise. If he played his cards right, he could just win this match. He immediately went on the defence as the second water spirit attacked him and he tried to look as though he was dazed from that earlier assault. It worked. The second water spirit got a bit arrogant and thought Percy was starting to weaken and opened his left guard and immediately Percy went on the offense, taking both spirits by surprise. He weaved past the first spirit, and used the side of his blade to cut through the ribs of the second spirit, before dodging to side to avoid the blade of the first spirit. Turns out he wasn't as dazed as Percy believed. Percy's senses buzzed sharply and he immediately turned around in time to deflect the blade heading for him and attacking him back in his ankles, making the spirit grunt.

He kicked the spirit in the chest with all his strength, giving himself a few seconds of opportunity and attacking the second spirit, however he saw it coming and side stepped and pressed on Percy's wrist in a manner that made him drop his weapon and then hit him hard on his knees making Percy fall to the ground.

Percy looked around everywhere, to see if there was anything he could use to his advantage but he had nothing. He was going to fail. No. Percy wouldn't fail. He couldn't fail. Failure was unacceptable. There was always something. Then he felt a warm feeling in his gut, as though something or someone was nudging him. He immediately let his instincts take over and this time there was a different sensation, as opposed to him controlling the sea. He felt a metallic scent on the tip of his tongue and he felt electricity crossing from the tips of his skin. On top of him, the sky darkened dangerously, the clouds coming to serve the bidding of the child of the Stormbringer. Lightning brewing up crackling with energy, ready to strike at a moments notice. Percy felt a familiar tug in his gut, his ears popping and almost immediately, thunder roared across the woods and a blue arc of lightning followed through at Percy's command striking down the water spirit that dared to challenge the master and smited the spirit, blowing him across the woods.

Lupa immediately jumped of the rock she was sitting at and ran towards Percy. She nodded at both of the water spirits and they both disappeared back into the sea. Lupa waited patiently as Percy regained his senses. That was the first time he had summoned lightning and that was even harder than using his water powers. His ears were slightly ringing and he felt a bit nauseous. But it worked and he managed to emerge victorious, even if it took all of his strength.

Once he felt like he was able to talk without feeling like he was going to hurl, he faced Lupa who was observing him.

"What just happened?" he asked in between breaths.

"You called upon one of your father's other domains. Your father is also the bringer of Storms and the earthshaker. As his son, you also have the ability to summon large storms or create massive earthquakes to your will," answered Lupa

"But isn't the sky Jupiter's domain?" Percy asked confused

"Jupiter controls the sky and has a higher amount of control over it, but Neptune also has control over the storm aspects in the sky. This is why he is feared by many. He has control over majority of the planet. He commands the seas and ocean but he also has domain over the sky as well as the earth. This is why children of Neptune, such as you, are extremely powerful," Lupa explained

Percy nodded as he took in what Lupa said.

"Mother Lupa, why hasn't my father visited me yet? I've seen Lady Salacia a few times, but never have I been able to meet Dad?" asked Percy. His face was unreadable to Lupa which was quite surprising as normally she'd be able to guess at his emotions.

"Percy, don't judge your father too harshly. There is something called the ancient laws that all immortals have to abide. One of those laws is that a God, especially one of the Olympians, can't interact or meddle in their children's lives. They have to simply stand by and watch their children progress on their own. But that doesn't mean your father doesn't care about you. Your father will always be watching over you, even when you don't realise it. He is always looking over you and will guide you when you need assistance. In retrospect, Neptune cares more about his children than some of the other gods. He is more attentive to his demigod children than many of the other gods," Lupa spoke to Percy. Percy thought about what she had told him for a few moments. Then he remembered to when he first used his divine powers to use the sea against his first fight against a wolf. A voice had told him and he suspected that it was his father.

"Ancient laws?" asked Percy.

Lupa sighed before continuing

"This might be a bit hard to understand, especially for a non-immortal but I'll try my best. When Lord Chaos first created the universe, the universe was in complete, well chaos essentially. The flow of energy that ties the universe was in complete shambles and everything was in havoc. The only thing that could bring order to the universe was the ancient laws and thus Chaos willed it so. The ancient laws aren't an actual physical thing, but they are the essence of what ties the universe together and keeps things from falling back to the imbalance they once were. If one of the ancient laws are broken, there are consequences to them, depending on how severe it is, in order to bring things back to balance," Lupa explained to Perseus, who nodded as he listened.

"Well that's a lot to take in," Percy said after a few moments of silence.

"Now for your duel. You did well. You held your own against 2 water spirits. You managed to defeat one by your combat skill alone and you defeated the other one by harnessing new powers for the first time. Not bad young destroyer," Lupa smiled. Percy grinned, it was hard to gain praise by Lupa and any compliments by here were always his highlights.

"But you also learned a lesson here. Never let you guard down, not even when an enemy is defeated for there may be a larger deception at place. You have to keep yourself ready for threats until you are completely sure that the area is safe," Lupa instructed Percy who nodded in response.

"You were right. My sixth sense managed to save me in time," Percy remembered when Lupa trained him to unlock his sixth sense. All demigods had one due to their divine blood that allowed them to have a danger sense that alerts them if a threat was arising immediately. Lupa had blindfolded Percy and had magical wolves attack him from all sides till he learnt to control it. It was painful yet it clearly paid off for him.

"Take some time to rest. You have some time off for now but in the evening, I'll be testing you on strategies by the book Art of War. You better had learnt them by now," Lupa said.

"Yes, Mother Lupa, I have learnt them," Percy groaned as he got up. Lupa smacked him gently on his legs for groaning before letting him go to enjoy some free time.

Percy sprinted across the woods. One of Lupa's wolves had informed him that Lupa had called for him and he gracefully ran through the woods. He practically knew this place in the back of his mind, having spent majority of his training time here.

He saw the clearing at the end and sprinted there, where he saw Lupa sitting on a rock looking at the sky.

"Mother Lupa, you called for me?" Percy asked.

Lupa faced him, before jumping off the rock. She motioned for him to move back and she glowed, transforming to her human form. Percy smiled at seeing her. He didn't often see her human form but it felt more comforting to him.

"The time for you to join the legion draws closer. Soon you'll be going to camp and join along with other people. Therefore, I would like to prepare you in advance before you join the legion," Lupa said, pride evident in her voice. Suddenly the scent of the sea filled the wind and from thin air materialised Salacia, Percy's step-mom and patron, but he didn't know that yet. He had seen Salacia a few times and she had been a lot friendlier to him than he expected. She had a small smile on her face as she looked at Percy.

"We have a few things for you Percy," Lupa said as she summoned a table and chairs for them. Percy sat on one side while the two goddesses sat on the other.

"I'll go first," Lupa spoke as she snapped her fingers and 2 things appeared on the table. The first was a dark bracelet, that had a menacing aura to it, with the symbol of two wolves pouncing at each other. It looked similar to what Lupa wore in her human form. The second was a small necklace in the shape of a trident with the face of a wolf in the middle underneath the middle prong.

"Put them on," Lupa said as he did so. "Now, tug the bracelet at the bottom," Lupa instructed. He did so and suddenly a dark black dagger appeared in his hands. It felt cold yet it felt perfectly weighted in his hands. It seemed to absorb all the light in the area and a dark shine to it.

"That is a dagger made for you by the cyclopes of your father. It is made of Stygian Iron so it is quite special," Lupa told him as he studied the dagger. He knew the properties of the metals in the godly world and knew what they were capable of. "The dagger is called Umbra Coronam"

"Shadow Crown," Percy translated.

"Now just twist the hilt of the dagger firmly and it'll return to its hidden form. Now for your necklace, pull on the trident," Lupa said with a smile. Percy did so, taking him 2 tries before he managed to twist the dagger and then pulled the trident. Immediately, a bow materialised in his hands and a quiver strapped to his back. He examined the bow, it appeared to be made of Imperial Gold and also linings of Mortal Steel to keep it intact. He gave it an experimental draw before turning to his quiver. In there were different types of arrows, a few Imperial Gold arrow, normal metal arrows, a few stygian iron arrows and also some explosive arrows that would come in handy when needed. Percy had progressed well in archery, not a complete expert but he had a lot of skill in the area and could mark shots for a good distance thanks to Lupa.

"The quiver has been blessed by your father and a few enchantment runes as you can see on the side so it never truly runs out of arrows. Take good care of it, it is hard to make weapons like these," Salacia told Percy. "To dismiss it, just turn the middle part of the bow and it'll disappear back into your necklace. It was named Ferociam"

"Turbulence," Percy thought

"Now for my 2 gifts," Salacia said and again 2 things materialised on the table. One of them was a simple yet beautiful ring. It looked to be carved out of a metal, most possibly Atlantean metal, and on the ring, you could see the different phases of the night sky in motion. The other thing was a watch (yes, I got the idea from Tyson's watch sue me), but it read SPQR on it. Percy knew that to be the motto of Rome. He placed both things on him as Salacia spoke

"The watch is a shield for you. It should serve you well. Click the top button. It was mined by Vulcan at your father's request so it is going to last you a very long time. Made of Imperial Gold again and mortal steel so you can use it for offense when needed," Salacia explained. "Also it tells you the time of whatever area you are in,"

Percy grinned as he examined the shield. It wasn't anything fancy which he liked and it seemed well balanced. And lastly, the most important of all, his ring.

"Tap the ring and will it to transform," Salacia instructed and immediately the most beautiful weapon Percy had ever seen lay in his hands. It didn't look like any of the regular metals he had seen and it hummed with energy. The sword responded to Percy and he could feel raw power coursing through it. He could feel the sea inside the sword.

"That sword was one of the most difficult weapons to build, yet it is extremely powerful. It has Adamantine inside it so you know its worth," Salacia said, stifling a laugh at the look on Percy's face. "It took the cyclopes quite a while to build this and even longer to obtain the metals needed for this. It contains Imperial Gold and Adamantine so it can harm both divine beings and mortals should the need arise. But what's special about this gladius is it is imbued with your father's powers. This should make it easier for you to channel your abilities if needed or just wield the weapon as it is a weapon of the sea. It is named Interitum"

"Destruction"

Percy nodded, he could feel his father's domains in the sword, ready to unleashed. This weapon felt more balanced than any other weapon he had wielded and he was thankful for it.

"Simply will the weapon to disappear and it'll return to the ring. All of your weapons are enchanted to return to you at your will should you lose them," Salacia told him.

"Thank you, both of you for these weapons, these are amazing," Percy spoke, a smile spread on his face.

"Of course. Now the time arises Perseus. You have one more task left to do and then I shall induct you to the legion," Lupa told him and he nodded.

"Lupa will explain to you, and then meet me at the lake downhill my champion," Salacia spoke, before disappearing into thin air

"Her champion?" Percy asked confused

"Yes Percy. Before you were given to me, Salacia claimed herself to be your patron and for you to be her champion. Fear not," Lupa added at seeing Percy's face "Having a patron has more benefits than drawbacks. And she may not show it, but Salacia does care for you. As her champion, you may have to do a few tasks for her but in return she will guide you in situations you need and she is your link to the divine world and to your father. She'll prove to be useful to you Percy," Lupa explained before carrying on.

"I have deemed you worthy and believe you can join the legion but Salacia wishes to test you herself to see whether you are ready. She has a task for you. Once you have completed it, she'll bring you here and you may join the legion Percy," Lupa told him.

Percy nodded, getting up from his seat with a stoic face, ready to complete his task. But before he turned around, he debated for a moment before deciding to take the risk and he hugged Lupa. The Mother of Rome was taken back at this and felt slightly out of place before composing herself and returning it. Percy knew Lupa would have his hide for this, as he had been trained to never show emotions to others but always keep a neutral look but for once, he wanted to show his gratitude to Lupa for everything. He pulled back after a few seconds.

"Sorry," he said sheepishly as Lupa rolled her eyes at him.

"I'll allow it just this once. Now go on, it isn't wise to keep the Queen of the Seas waiting," Lupa said, her face returning to neutral.

Percy nodded, his face returning to emotionless as he bowed to Lupa before running off to meet his patron.

Salacia saw Percy running towards her and waited for him

"I have been told by Lupa that she believes you ready to join the legion after 6 and half years of training. I am here to judge that for you. There are a few cyclopes, approximately 5 to 6, near the coast of the city. I will teleport you there and you are to eliminate them. Once you are done, pray to me and I will collect you," Salacia ordered. Percy nodded, determination in his eyes. Salacia touched his shoulder and Percy felt a shift in his surroundings and after a moment found himself in the city area. Percy recognised the area, having been here a few times. He remembered Salacia told him that the cyclopes were at the coast so he stretched out his senses, and found the coast to be quite near, 5 mins by foot. He immediately set out, seeing the area. There were a few mortals which was a bother for him, he still wasn't proficient in manipulating the mist, but he was going to have to make do. He looked around to see if he could get a better vantage point and saw that there was a construction area near him that had a ledge where he could analyse the situation better.

He still wasn't completely confident in his Storm powers but he had a decent handle on it. He called on the winds and managed to leap up to one of the structures below the ledge. Percy braced him before using his legs to jump up again and hang onto the ledge with his arms. He pulled himself up before looking down.

It took him a few minutes but he identified 3 of the cyclopes that were raiding the area. The only advantage Percy had was that the sea was near for him to summon. He quickly found the 2 other cyclopes that were acting guard for anything suspicious just a few metres to the east of the others.

Percy thought for a moment before deciding that a distraction, diverge then attack situation would be best here. He summoned Ferociam and aimed Turbulence at one of the containers near the two cyclopes. He released an explosive arrow that got their attention. One of them started going towards the explosion while the other one stayed back to guard.

Percy immediately acted quick. He needed to get closer to kill with his bow and he couldn't afford to waste time. He jumped down from the ledge to one of the larger shipping containers and sprinted quickly to the next one. Once he was close enough, he drew back an Imperial Gold arrow and aimed for the cyclopes head. He took a breath and released the arrow, the next second, the monster disintegrated. Percy couldn't waste time on his victory, he needed to kill the other guard. He dismissed his bow and leaped onto another container, retracing the steps of the other guard while trying to go unnoticed. He hoped the Mist would cover him for the mortal eyes but one could never be sure what they saw.

He located the other Cyclops, looking confused at the source of the explosion. Percy summoned Umbra Coronam and as expected Shadow Crown appeared in his hands. He jumped to the ground and moved silently towards him, while maintaining a cover to ensure he wasn't seen. The cyclops turned around and saw Percy but he reacted fast and barrelled into the cyclops with all his strength. They cyclops, clearly surprised, fell down onto the floor. Percy immediately elbowed the big guy in the head, leapt back onto his feet and struck him with his dagger. The monster let out a hiss before joining his brother. Percy took a few seconds to breathe before getting back into action. He knew the other three would soon realise that 2 of theirs were missing and would look around so he needed to be quick. He followed his steps back to where the other three were and found himself a hiding spot. There were two of them together, stealing something from the container to his west while the third one was threatening the others to move away or else, he'd eat them. Percy needed to get the mortals away so they wouldn't get hurt before an idea came to him. He summoned his bow and took another explosive arrow. He aimed at a random container where he was positive there was no one and let the arrow loose. Immediately the explosion attracted attention and everyone began swarming in that direction.

Percy sprinted across but the third cyclops unfortunately spotted him. Percy knew that he was going to have to engage in a head on fight. He tapped his ring and immediately Interitum came in all its glory. The cyclops narrowed his eyes at the blade, a bit of fear creeping in his eyes. Percy got into battle stance, his senses stretching before laying into offense. The monster was strong no doubt, but he was sloppy. Percy took 2 steps left before jumping in and meeting the cyclops head on. His blade cut through the monster's shoulder, but in return he got a strong hit in the head, leaving him slightly dazed. Percy immediately turned, dodging just in time as the cyclops tried to swipe him again.

The thing about cyclops, they're strong but also clumsy, like this one. Failing to reach Percy the cyclops was off balance and Percy went forward and jammed his blade through his chest, allowing him to join his brothers. The only problem, their little fight caused the other 2 to hear the commotion and see what was happening.

"Hmm. A child of the sea. He should be delicious to eat huh," said one to the other. Percy knew he was at a disadvantage here. It was 2 against 1 and his head still hurt from the blow earlier. Percy looked to the side; the sea was there. He could use that to his advantage. Lupa had told him, that sometimes the mind was the warrior and is used rightly, is the deadliest weapon. Percy held his gladius in his right arm and summoned his dagger to his left hand. He held them in a cross formation as he prepared himself for the fight.

The 1st cyclops immediately went for him with some kind of pole in his hand and Percy went on the defence, allowing the cyclops to push him back towards the sea. The other cyclops also lumbered forwards, but Percy saw that coming. When the 1st one raised his pole for an overhead attack, Percy's ADHD mind saw it coming, he immediately swerved under the cyclops' arms and tackled the other cyclops by his legs. He had learnt that they were quite clumsy, especially on their feet, so he took advantage of that and lodged Shadow Crown into his knee. His senses buzzed like crazy and he immediately rolled away, narrowly missing the pole heading for his neck but did manage to scrape the top of his shoulder causing it to throb. Percy immediately retaliated, using Interitum as offence and pushing the cyclops towards the sea. Percy knew that without the sea's aid, he wouldn't last long after taking a blow to the head and 2 hits to the shoulder. He had to weather it till he could heal in the water. Thankfully the cyclops didn't really have a brain and just plainly let himself be pushed into the sea and Percy followed. The moment he came into contact with water, he felt himself healing. He could think clearer, and he felt a surge of energy in him. Not wasting another moment, Percy pushed the cyclops further in. The further he could get them away the better.

"Yo ugly," Percy called out. "You should know something,"

The cyclops halted questioningly.

"If you want to fight a son of the sea, don't do it where he's most powerful. The cyclops eyes widened, as though realising for the first time where he was. Percy let out his usual lupine smile, one that sent many running in fear. He felt the familiar tug in his gut and he raised his hands and water followed his movements. Two tendrils of water rose and caught the monster, holding him steady as Percy drew Interitum and drove it through the last beast, completing his task.

Percy took a few moments to breathe while the water began healing him, seeping through his shoulders and helping him gain his strength.

5 minutes later, he felt good enough to walk around normally. He prayed to Salacia, and a few moments later felt a shift in his surroundings again and he was back to where he was earlier

"Well done my champion. You have done well," Salacia said, her eyes betraying her emotions.

"Just a few things before you go off. One is to be prepared. Some won't take kindly to a son of Neptune in their midst and be wary of you while others may try to discredit you. As you know, one of your father's descendants was blamed for the destruction of their earlier camp and as such people may not treat you fairly. But don't let that bother you. Focus on your task and earn the respect of others," Salacia explained to Percy who nodded in understanding

"The other is that while you may be done training with Lupa for the time being, your father and I believe that you can be taught more. Therefore, as your patron, once you have settled in, I will be conducting lessons for you to learn from. I will teach you other forms of combat and also how to fight immortals and also give you a hand in controlling your divine abilities better. Unless you have any objections Percy?" she asked

"Um, not really. That'd be extremely helpful."

"Well then go off my champion. I will be watching over you. So will your father," she said with a slight smile as she disappeared.

Percy immediately sprinted back to where he last saw Lupa and found her waiting for him, back in her wolf form.

"Well then pup, time for you to join the legion"

Author's Note: Whew! 5745 words. This took a while to write, but was very fun. A few things to address:
Firstly, thanks to elixiacharlie, somethingcameup, Royal Instinctz, BlackJackkk12 and JoJo Jesus for your reviews, they all mean a lot to me
Next chapter- Percy joins the legion. What cohort do you guys think I should place him in? I need a few inputs to see what you guys think.

The other thing was the pairing.
Royal Instinctz- your reason was also one of my main reasons why I wanted to do PercyxAnnabeth. People always see Roman Percy with Reyna and it'd be interesting to see how these 2 interact with one another.
But in the end I'll take it all of my reader's input on what they want before making a decision, there's still a long road till that

The other point I wanted to put was that I have just created a discord server. The code is VUMM3Sb (also posted on my profile) where you can leave suggestions to me and also I will at one point write other stories so there will be channels for those stories in that server so people can leave suggestions or ask me questions there directly as I'm very active on discord. Also you can partake in polls as I will be putting polls on there so if you want you can put your opinion there. Feel free to join, all are welcome.

Anyways that's all from me right now.
Please review

Hope you enjoyed the chapter.
I'll try to post another one this week but no promises

Thanks
