"Aunt may!" Both JJ and Luke exclaimed wrapping their arms around the woman. Suddenly the woman pulled away a hand on one of the each of their shoulders.

"Why are you here, is everything okay, do you need help" the older woman said sounding slightly panicked.

"We're okay, I'm here on an case" JJ reassured

The women known as aunt may let out a relieved sigh, she hadn't seen the two of them in years, she was worried something was wrong. She pulled them into a second hug.

"I missed you, both of you" aunt may said

"We missed you too" Luke said "hows aunt Becca?"

"Oh my god Rebecca, she's gonna be so happy to see y'all, hold on." Aunt may called over a young girl who looked to be about 14 "please go get your aunt Becca tell her someone's here to see her"

The young girl nodded and ran away to the kitchen, a moment later a lady who looked to be about aunt Mays age came out in a apron.

"Oh my god!" She Said eyes widening at the sight of JJ and Luke.

"Hey aunt Becca" Luke said

Rebecca pulled Luke into a hug than did the same to JJ.

"Your really here" Aunt Becca said shocked

"We really are, I'm here for work and Luke came when he found out I was here" JJ explained

It was then that aunt may saw JJs wrapped hand. "What happened are you okay" she asked taking the hand in hers ignoring JJs wince.

"She's fine she cut her hand on a branch, but I cleaned it up." Luke told her

"Y'all came through the woods" aunt Becca said more as a statement then a question. JJ and luke silently nodded. "You know I never liked you coming through the woods" aunt may added

"It used to be the only way we could get here" JJ pointed out

"I guess that's true" may agreed

"Ok, well down here should be fine without us for a while, so how about we go upstairs and catch up," Becca suggested

They all agreed and followed a short hallway, to a staircase, they went up it and found themselves in a loft area with a queen size bed along with bunk beds in the corner, it also had a small bathroom, kitchen and living area.

They all sat on the couch they had spent so much time in In the past, may offered beers but JJ declined since she had to work In the morning.

They spent hours talking and eventually JJ fell asleep her head resting on Luke's chest who fell asleep shortly after.

May and Becca looked on with pride, they had practically raised them, and even though they weren't blood related, they were family.

May and Becca had been married for over 30 years and owned the bar/diner for even longer, they never had any children themselves, nor did they adopt, but the kids they looked after they loved them more then anything in the world.

They headed back downstairs to continue doing their jobs.

JJ woke up to Luke lightly shaking her, she rubbed her eyes as they adjusted to the light.

"Um JJ what time do you need to be at work" Luke asked sounding almost nervous

"Nine, why?"

"It's 8:30"

"Shit!" JJ jumped up she quickly ran to the bathroom with her bag, she brushed her hair and pulled it into a neater ponytail, she also pulled a toothbrush and toothpaste she kept for emergencies out and brushed her teeth.

Her and Luke raced down the stairs, giving aunt may and Becca and hug and a goodbye and a promise to come back.and ran out the door dodging several people along the way.

Once they were outside they ran in the direction they had come from the night before.

"Why didn't they wake us up" Luke said running along side JJ jumping over a fallen branch.

"I don't know!"

They ran as fast as they could, JJ knew she would be late but she wanted to get there as soon as possible. After what felt like forever they reached the fence, the only way to get back over was to climb the tree which was Pretty difficult with a wrapped hand. Luke went over first to make sure JJ didn't fall due to her hand.

Once they were both over the run wasn't over yet, JJ still had to get to the station and Luke was going with her.

"Has anyone seen JJ" hotch asked looking at his hand watch, it was 9:10 and JJ was never late.

"I don't think so, but let's give her a few minutes before we start worrying" Rossi said

"I don't know, she wasn't in room this morning but she left a note saying she would be here by nine" Prentiss said

A few minutes passed and a out of breath JJ came through the doors of the station. "I'm sorry late, lost track of time"

No one looked convinced so Morgan asked "so are you gonna tell us what you were doing and why your hand is wrapped in gauze"

"I needed to take care of something, and I cut my hand in the process" JJ explained which wasn't technically a lie.

Still no one believed her but they had to work nonetheless

"Alright people let's get to work" hotch said
