"Alright people, let's go" Hotch announced as the clock struck 2 am. It was time. The team said their goodbyes to Maybell and Rebecca as more FBI agents showed up closely followed by many CPS workers who just pulled up outside, there was no underestimating the power 'The Downstairs' had over the town and they didn't feel comfortable leaving the hut unattended when it would be full of children, so they would have agents standing guard.

'The Hut' was never closed it was open 24/7 but for the first time in 40 years the open sign was turned off and all the customers were asked to leave the property until further notice, to make up for the inconvenience all bills and tabs were paid for by the place itself.

The plan was already set in motion, there was no going back no matter what. All across the country parents were going to be arrested, there were agents scattered around outside the edge of the town waiting to kick in doors to arrest anyone and everyone involved.

JJ walked outside and into one of the government-issued SUVs and went over the plan in her head for what was probably the 100th time. The number one priority was to get all the kids out, there were agents ready to do that, they would try to get all the kids out without alerting all the staff so there wasn't mass panic. once the kids were out of the building another set of people would go in to find all the workers and arrest them. All the kids would then be sorted to decide if they needed to go to the hospital, if they didn't, they would be taken to 'The Hut' with the rest of the kids until someone was found to take care of them.

JJ knew the second they stepped into the building Luke would no longer be safe, he had been taken by the downstairs only because he was close to JJ, to try to stop her from taking them down, and as soon as they knew it didn't work and JJ and her team were coming to shut the place down who knows what they might do. JJ just had to find him in time.

The closer they got to the church the less scared and the more determined JJ felt. It had taken a lot of convincing for Hotch to let JJ come and she wasn't about to let him down. Emily was sitting next to JJ in the backseat she almost sees the wheels in her head turning, she worried for JJ actually going back to the place where she spent the worst years of her life, she might freeze or she might go in there and do everything right, saving so many children from the hell they were suffering in.

They pulled into a parking lot of a small abandoned shopping center, where several trucks and vans were parked. The team walked to the back of an undercover surveillance van to get ready. The Inside of the abandoned shopping center was currently being used as "headquarters" to arrange everything; so many things were going to happen at once. The back door of the van opened to reveal 3 people organizing supplies.

"Oh, good you're here. who needs gear?" a tall dark-skinned lady said.

"That would be everyone ma'am," Hotch said

"OK then," the lady said.

Each team member got a bulletproof vest an earpiece and a mic, minus spencer who was staying behind so he didn't need a vest, once they were ready, they went inside the shopping center. Since they didn't want to draw attention to themselves, they didn't use the front room of the place where you could see if the lights were on instead, they used a back room you couldn't see from the outside.

In the room where tons of agents were ready to go in at a moments notice, there were screens lit up with every security camera that they had hacked into in and around 'The Downstairs', and across the room, there was another set of screens with the cameras they had set up from vans and outside the buildings.

"Can I have everyone's attention please" Hotch's voice boomed through the room drawing everyone away from what they were doing to listen? "It is currently 2:49 am. When the clock hits 3 we will go in. I cannot stress enough that getting the kids out unharmed is our number one priority. We know they have weapons but we aren't sure to what extant so proceed with caution, and try your best no get as many kids out without alerting staff. Please make sure you aren't leaving anyone behind, we have files for each of the children and we want them all accounted for. You all know your jobs but if someone calls for backup and no one inside can get to them do not hesitate to run inside. There will be press as soon as this starts happening, there might even be some now, and we wan to keep that to a minimum. Does everyone understand?"

There was a resounding yes and everyone went back to what they were doing before. It was time to go in, the team as well as several other agents went back outside where swat was waiting on them, teams of a few agents or swat members were assigned, and started approaching the building.

JJ unlike the others only had one other person with her- a swat member whose name she didn't know, because her main goal was finding Luke and getting him to safety. The teams made their way through the parking lot the headlights coming from the street and the stars and moon being their only source of light. They zeroed in on the church building covering every entrance. JJ was at the back door of the church, the one she had snuck out of so many times.

In order to get in without issues they had someone onsite to do a few things, mainly to out the security cameras on a loop so they couldn't see them coming, as well is disable the alarm so they could just walk in without setting anything off.

At Hotch's word JJ took a deep breath and pushed open the back door as quietly as she could, gun drawn and at the ready. She walked through the church until she finally reached a trapdoor on the floor. There were several trapdoors all through the church leading to different stairwell. The man with JJ pulled open the trapdoor checking for any threats, deciding it was safe he let JJ climb down the ladder first before going down himself.

Once they were down several other teams came down all running in different directions. JJ knew she had to find Luke but first she had to help get kids out, she was at an advantage because she knew her way around and where they liked to keep kids, one of the teams that had been assigned to get kids stayed behind with JJ so they could follow her to the kids. JJ turned and raced down the stairwell down past 2 levels before pushing open a steel door, there were walls in every direction.

JJ pointed different people in different directions before running down the middle hallway the man she had been paired with just behind her she heard several gunshots ring out from what she thought was a different floor. There were fire doors all along the walls and that were they encountered their first guard, as soon as he saw JJ and the man, he pulled out his gun and started shooting yelling something into his walkie talkie, JJ stepped back out of the hallway standing behind a wall, she turned gun drawn and both her and the SWAT man shot and the guard fell to the ground, she ran over to the man. No pulse. They would never know who mage the kill shot.

She reached into the now dead mans pocket and pulled out a keycard, and jumped back up. "If we are going to keep being shot at like that I feel like I should know your name" JJ said as she ran over to a screen on the wall scanning the keycard and pushing buttons.

"I'm Ben. You?" he said keeping an eye out for more guards.

"Jennifer. But I go by JJ" she said continuing pushing buttons before there was a loud beep. "Ha! I got it. All these rooms are unlocked now. These should be the older kids so if we get them all out here, we can walk them up and out." JJ said and once again went back to pushing buttons "I can send a message to all the rooms to get them to come out"

"We've got company!" Ben shouted as workers ran into the hall, they had guns and once again JJ hid behind the wall with ben across from her, they leaned around and shot at them as they got closer but there were so many of them JJ called for backup and at the other end of the hall two other agents JJ had led down there leaned around and shot the guards from behind, between the 4 of them the guards fell to the ground all dead, except for one who arm had been hit.

Ben ran forward to see to the man still alive the two agents went back to helping their hall, and JJ went back to the screen on the wall for the last time, a robotic voice boomed through the halls and JJ hoped in the rooms. "All followers are to leave his or her room and stand at attention" it said

Half a moment later doors were opening and kids lining the walls. "Everyone follow me, I'm with the FBI we are here to help you" JJ shouted and the kids made a straight line in the middle of the hall like soldiers. Where the bodies were kids simply stood next to them. Ben now had the guard's hands in zip ties and standing.

JJ started walking back down the hall to the way she came down and the kids followed her marching and not saying anything. JJ knew from experience it would take a long time for the kids to stop blindly obeying and the soldier thing never fully went away. As JJ reached the end of the hallway, she saw another group of agents and kids. "Follow them, they will take you to safety" JJ told and just got mindless nods.

"Come with me" she told ben. She ran through the hallways checking to make sure they didn't leave anyone behind. They didn't so she ran to a different stairwell from the one they come from and ran down one more level to the 4th floor.

Ignoring every emotion, she's ever had she pushed open the steel door. She knew there were more rooms with the kids they didn't want around anyone else. She knew because she spent nearly 3 years in those rooms. Of course, JJ hoped there wouldn't be any kids but she had to check.

JJ and Ben ran through the halls, while it looked almost exactly like the last floor not all the rooms were bedrooms. There were only 6 bedrooms on the floor, and JJ navigated through all the halls until she found them.

Only one of the doors was closed which meant there was only one kid down there. JJ pulled out the keycard she had stolen and scanned it on the doorknob, she heard it unlock and pulled the door open.

On the bed one kid sat up confused at the sudden intrusion. JJ knew who he was immediately.

"Ethan?" she asked switching in the light. It was the kid she had tried to convince not to come back.

"You actually came" he said shocked, he still had fear in his eyes.

"I said I would do I" JJ said and pulled him out of his bed. "Now come on let's get you out of here"

JJ abruptly stopped what she was doing hearing a steady beep. Her eyes widened at realization, she locked eyes with Ben as the beeping got louder. JJ crouched down pulled Ethan who was nearly her size down and shielding his body with hers while Ben did the same on the other side of him.

JJ held her breath as everything around her exploded.
