Galaxy Creator of Pisces: Thank you!

Guest: I think there was a problem with your reviews for chapter 14. That must be frustrating. : (

We are 1/3 of the way done with this story! There's a ton of fluff and humor in this one, which is always fun to write. Enjoy~

Btw, I found out something interesting, a way to cheat the system in fanfiction. So, the website doesn't let you ever disable reviews, even if you're being harassed on a story. You get them whether you want to or not. If you don't want alerts in your emails for certain stories, create a filter to archive any messages with that story's title in it. Then, you'll only see reviews if you actively look at them!

On Friday night, Luffy handed the paper to Hawks that allowed him to get a cat. "Sunday, we'll go looking," Hawks promised and Luffy grinned brightly. "What are you gonna name it? We are not getting a kitten, neither of us have time for that," he made sure to say. That was fine, Luffy hadn't been wanting a kitten.

"I want to get a rescue, but I won't know the name until I see them. I want to help someone that was abandoned, too," Luffy said, looking at the cat coupon. "Even if it's a cat." Hawks smiled and said that was just fine. They were having left overs of the zucchini sauce that took four hours to make, but he made new pasta for that night.

Saturday was spent impatiently, wanting to be Sunday already. The shelters were closed on Saturdays, so they couldn't go after Hawks retired for the night. He spent the day watching old cartoons that he found on Netflix, because why not? He never watched cartoons as a kid. Hawks would probably laugh. Even if he hid it when he got home, it would still show that he'd watched that on the Netflix account.

Finally, Sunday came and they headed to the nearest shelter. Luffy played with the cats for awhile, Hawks waiting in the waiting room, playing a game on his phone while Luffy searched for a friend.

Some were afraid of his wings while others bat at it. He found one in the corner of the room hiding in the litter box. It was smaller and fluffy, with wide green eyes and white fur. Luffy furled his wings tightly and got on the floor. "Hey, little buddy, why don't you come out?" Luffy said quietly. The frightened cat shrunk back further in the catbox.

Luffy plucked a small feather and put it in front of the box. The cat couldn't help but put its paw at it and then shrink back, like it was an accident. "You've had a hard time, haven't you? Why don't you come out? I'll be your friend. Promise," he whispered. He waved the feather again, and it patted at it.

Hawks was being pretty patient after an hour spent trying to coax the hesitant cat out. It finally came out when he laid on his back and looked at it that way. It slowly stepped out of the box, looking scared, but brave enough to see what Luffy was. He put his hand out, laying it on the floor, moving his fingers that had it slowly walk forwards. "There we go," Luffy said softly, and got a hesitant headbutt.

It came closer and stepped on Luffy's wing. When it saw the feathers move beneath it, it jumped but then swiped at them. Luffy very slowly brought his hand up to scratch under its chin. "There, I'm not so scary, am I?" He got a nose bump on his own nose. It walked closer and sniffed his face. Luffy didn't want to move too much and scare it off, so he stayed on his back, cats swarming him in interest.

He noticed a flash from the window and saw Hawks laughing. Luffy shook his head, sure that he'd be called the cat angel or something stupid like that. The small white fluffy cat cowered a little when Luffy sat up, but didn't run away. He coaxed it into his lap, and finally got a look at her collar. "Squirt". Definitely not.

He held her in his arms, rocking her slightly. He heard purring, the cat looking up at him with wide eyes. Not of fear anymore. It looked happy, if cats could look happy. "I'm gonna take you home with me. How about that? I think I'll call you… Merry," Luffy said sweetly. He stood up with her, and brought her out of the cat room. "We're getting this one," Luffy said.

She saw Hawks and clawed up Luffy's shirt to get away. "Don't worry, he's nice, I promise," he cooed. Hawks slowly reached out his hand and she sniffed him but didn't give him a nose bump. "I'm naming her Merry." Hawks nodded and they went through the adoption process. Merry had been abandoned when her family had to move and couldn't take her with them. She was two years old and had already had a litter of kittens before she was taken in.

When they put her in the carrying bag, since they'd gone cat shopping hours before, she cried the whole way home. Hawks saved thousands of dollars on flying a year, and his car was often parked inside for weeks, so it was weird to drive anywhere.

When they arrived home, and went up the elevator, Luffy put the cat bag on the floor and unzipped it, letting her explore the house hesitantly. Some things scared her, like a couch pillow that was on the floor. Luffy was sad he'd be leaving her alone for some of the day tomorrow, but he'd go home as fast as he could.

The eventually found the litter box in Luffy's bathroom and the bed in his room that was up against the window. There were lots of places for her to sunbathe and watch outside. They would have screens installed the next day once Hawks got home so they could safely have the windows open without worrying that she'd fall out.

They both left her alone to adjust. "Thank you, Hawks. She is a great gift," Luffy said sincerely.

"Well, I already took one stray in, what's another? Hopefully this one won't tell me to 'fuck off'," Haws replied easily. Luffy scoffed. Then he noticed she'd crawled under the couch, her tail just barely sticking out from below. The closest she'd gone to them in an hour.

She had canned food by the window and a bowl of water on a placemat. Not close to anywhere Luffy or Hawks moved around, like the kitchen. When they went to bed, Luffy heard crying outside of his door, and opened it to see Merry looking at him before running away and under the couch. He chuckled and left the door open slightly in case she wanted to come in.

He woke up to his quiet alarm with her curled up in the middle of Luffy's left wing. He smiled and reached his hand out to pet her. She jolted awake. "Sorry, Merry. Didn't mean to scare you," he apologized. "I gotta get up now." She fled the room and ran under the couch as he got dressed and ready for school.

When he brushed his teeth, she decided to go to the bathroom while he was in there. He was glad she was trained and covered up afterwards. "I'll be back in a bit. Don't throw any wild parties, okay?" She ran under the couch. He smiled and opened the wide window, jumped out and slid it shut before flying off, seeing her run out from under the couch to watch him fly away.

Aizawa told them that day that there was a week until the final exam and then the practical one that followed the written one. When he left, some of the students started to say they hadn't studied. Luffy was unconcerned, he'd just binged the entire semester a couple weeks ago. He didn't need to study, even if he was going to. Of course he was.

He got a text from Hawks. The rare cat angel visits from above to gift his cat babies with the look of love. It was a photo of him laying on the floor with his wings out on his back surrounded by cats. Indeed, he looked ridiculous. He sent back an emoji of the middle finger. He got a lol in return.

"Ahahaha! Is that you?!" Mineta asked, looking over his shoulder. Luffy shoved him away. "Don't look at other people's phones, you creep."

"That picture's so funny!" It got everybodies attentions, glad to not talk about the final anymore as they asked to see the photo. Luffy refused. Mineta told them it was him surrounded by a bunch of cats.

"Okay, I adopted a cat yesterday, are you happy?" Luffy snapped, embarrassed. Stupid Mineta. Stupid Hawks.

Mineta wasn't giving up. "But the picture was so priceless! You were like the cat angel." The others begged for him to show them and he finally did. The guys laughed and the girls cooed. He explained that he was in that position because the cat he wanted to see was afraid of his big wings. So laying on his back was the only way to look the least threatening.

"I was in that position to not freak out a scared cat. Leave me alone about it," he grumbled. "Fucking Hawks," he hissed. He was sure the guy sent texts when he knew a break was between classes just to mess with him. The others laughed, but got back to talking about the final.

"Hey, Ace, what was your grade on the midterm? Since you didn't take it with everyone else?" Sero asked.

"103%," he replied. The class was silent before they exclaimed that he had the number one place. "Well, for me all of the semester had just been crammed. It was all fresh, so it would have been stupid if I got a bad grade," he pointed out reasonably.

"That's true, that makes sense. Hey, that means the final's gonna be super easy for you!" Kaminari shouted. Luffy said that might be true. Then he changed the subject. "So what was it like to tear out a brain?" he asked morbidly.

Luffy put his hand to his forehead. "Absolutely repulsive. It was slimy and bloody and messy. But it was the only way to kill it," he answered honestly. The others shivered at his description. "After that was literally the only time Endeavor has ever said anything not rude to me." They asked what he meant. "Well I've been friends with Todoroki since third grade. Whenever he saw me, he shooed me away or told me to leave and not come back.

"Once I was good enough at flying, I would visit and just ditch when we heard him return. Endeavor isn't a nice guy," Luffy explained, Todoroki nodding in agreement.

Then the subject was back on the final, and Yaoyorozu was really happy to be asked to help out some of the classmates. They had to pass the final to go to the summer training camp. Luffy looked forward to that. He'd been to a camp before, but he was in fifth grade and would definitely be different than this one. He couldn't wait, and would definitely pass the final.

At lunch, Luffy opened his food to see Hawks had cut out a piece of paper in the shape of a cat and stuck it in there, a message of "I'm pissing all over your bed. From Merry with love." He crumpled it up and messaged him NO MORE CAT MESSAGES!

Boo and a photo of Luffy's face with cat ears and whiskers. Luffy just knew he only downloaded that app to do this. This had better not continue or Luffy would find something on him and piss him off.

He ate his lunch, and was distracted by the merciless cat teasing when Midoriya wondered what they would be doing for the practical exam. "Probably fighting pro-heroes or something difficult like that."

"God, I hope not!" Uraraka exclaimed. "It's a culmination of everything we've been doing. So rescue training, combat training, then basic training…"

Luffy put his head in his hands. Tsu patted his back, saying he'd probably do just fine. "I've missed so much time to practice that stuff," Luffy mumbled. Then he sighed, and said, "Well, I'll do what I can to pass. I can't turn back time and get all of those weeks I missed back." The others nodded in agreement, and assured him that he'd pass, even if it wasn't with flying colors.

He liked to think that way. Then Monoma walked over to hit Midoriya's head and started to tease them. But then he looked over and saw Luffy, backing away in fear before hurrying away. "Man, your quirk freaked him out badly," Todoroki commented. Luffy nodded. Todoroki was the only one who could really understand why it had been too much for the guy.

When Luffy got home, he immediately found Merry sunbathing, stretched out by the window wall. He entered it, opening it from the latch outside to get in. she woke up and ran under the couch, startled. He smiled and put his backpack down before grinning mischievously. He got a glass of water and went to Hawks' room and dribbled it in a puddle on his sheets.

Then he took a picture of it and texted him My bed wasn't the one she pissed on. It wasn't long before there was a text back.

Are you fucking joking.

Maybe.

You better be joking.

Who knows? I guess you'll tell later by smelling it.

:(

Luffy laughed and then drank the water before putting it in the dishwasher. It was lucky he had left his door open a crack that morning since he was sure Merry couldn't open doors. She was drinking from her water bowl, and Luffy called her own with "tsk, tsk, tsk" noises. She looked at him and then slowly walked over to bump her forehead into Luffy's hand.

She allowed him to pick her up and he brought her to the kitchen, getting a treat out for her and put it on the floor in front of her. She sniffed it, licked it once and deemed it okay to eat and chowed down. She made a purring noise and got on her back feet, and he gave her another one. "I gotta go do my homework now," Luffy said, patting her head and went to the desk to do that day's homework and then study.

When Hawks came in, Luffy said, "It was water," immediately.

"Little shit."

Luffy laughed and said it was his own fault. "My classmate saw that stupid picture you sent me. I'm gonna be really angry if they start calling me cat angel," he grumbled. Hawks chuckled and then apologized, though it didn't sound too sincere. The moment Hawks walked over, Merry ran under the couch, her safe space.

"How was school?" Luffy said it was fine besides the cat photo fiasco. He told him about the finals coming up and that he was worried about the practical exam. "I wouldn't be worried. You're fit and strong and fast. Are you excited?"

Luffy grinned and nodded, saying he wanted to fight a pro since the students didn't match against him well. He said he was sure he'd do fine on the written exam since it was only a few weeks ago that he took the midterm and went over the entire semester. "I'm excited for the summer camp. I have no idea what we'll do during it, though.

"Based on Aizawa's attitude, he'll probably say it's some sort of hell," Hawks said when he got the dinner, which Luffy had just gone down the street and got take out from their favorite Indian food restaurant. They always got take out there since it wasn't designed to accommodate heroes.

"Probably. But what he says is hell is never actually hell. At least, so far," Luffy replied. Merry sniffed his food and got too close, her nose bumping the sauce and making her make a sour face when she couldn't help but taste it. Luffy picked her up and brought her to the water, which she lapped up quickly.

When the written final days did come, they were easy and he finished them quickly, going over the answers three times until he felt it was as good as he would be doing. He turned it over and waited. There was a piece of scratch paper he didn't use, so he started doodling on it. He mostly drew his new cat and then scribbled it out when Aizawa collected it so nobody would tease him about the cat again.

The three days went by quickly, and everyone seemed confident with their tests on the last day, which was nice. On the last day, after the last test, they were told to get dressed and go to the correct area to get directions for their practical final exam. Luffy got changed and flew there. He had gotten used to zipping up his costume by himself and locking it just as easily.

He landed in front of all of the teachers, not surprised. He was first to get there and waited awhile for everyone else to arrive. "We're fighting the teachers, right?" Luffy asked conversationally. "They all think we're fighting robots even though we already fought them twice."

"Yeah, you're all fighting the teachers. We'll tell you about the matchups when everyone else gets here," Aizawa said in his bored voice. They waited for everyone to get there and when they saw the teachers gathered, they seemed to finally agree with Luffy's suspicion. They were told their pairs, and Luffy felt really bad for Midoriya when he had to team up with Bakugo against All Might. But he also felt bad for himself when he was teamed up with Mineta against Present Mic.

Mineta looked so happy to be paired with Luffy. And Present Mic could use his powers against Luffy when he was in the air. Well, his sounds would be painful, but Luffy had been through much more painful things that some burst eardrums that would heal over quickly.

Their match was third, and Luffy spent his time watching the other matches, though he wasn't really paying attention the whole time, zoning out a bit. So, when his round came, Midoriya poked him to get him out of his daydreams. "Your turn." Luffy thanked him and found Mineta outside waiting for him.

They were told to go to the middle of the forest area. Luffy offered to fly them there, and Mineta agreed, though he screamed the whole time. "I won't drop you," Luffy said and then landed lightly and dropped him down.

"Do you have a plan?" Mineta asked. Luffy said it was reckless, but they both weren't long distance fighters. "What is it?"

"We fly right at him through the gate. Do your ball things work as mufflers, too?" Luffy asked. Mineta pulled two off and put them over his ears and nodded. "So we can just go there immediately and waste no time."

Mineta said, "We'll be the fastest match!" Luffy nodded at that and Mineta put two over Luffy's ears. He knew his glasses wouldn't break even after terrible soundwaves. Hawks had all sorts of situations tested on them before they were sent to him in the large box.

Luffy asked if he was ready, and Mineta could tell when he said and made a thumbs up. Luffy could feel the vibrations of the sound, but it didn't reach through the balls. Luffy picked Mineta out and then flew as fast as he could and zipped right past Present Mic, through the gate before he was able to really notice him.

It took three minutes. He put Mineta down and took the balls off of Luffy's ears since he couldn't unstick them himself. "Man! That was too fast!"

"Well, we passed using both of our quirks," Luffy replied. "And our ears didn't bleed at all," he added, touching his and feeling no blood. Mineta said he'd never known his balls could be used as earplugs. They both headed back to the observation room, and Luffy and Mineta were congratulated. Ashido and Kaminari already failed theirs against the principal and lamented how they could have passed if they could fly.

Midoriya said that the only teacher that could work against Luffy's flight was Present Mic, but he and Mineta teamed up and won easily. They watched the other matches, and only one more group failed, Sato and Kirishima. Everyone else passed, and then came Bakugo and Midoriya's.

It was a damn nightmare. They argued, and Bakugo even attacked Midoriya. It was hard to watch and All Might pulled no punches, brutally attacking them as a real villain. He punched Bakugo so hard he vomited, and ended up damaging Midoriya's spine. It was terrible for both of them, but they both barely managed to pass with little teamwork. But at least they passed.

Luffy wasn't much surprised when Aizawa confessed to them they'd lied again after everyone was gathered. Well, those who were in the infirmary weren't present. But, those who failed would still go to camp, they would just have extra courses. Everybody cheered, excited even if the camp was still a few weeks away. Summer break was coming.

Maybe he could go on a trip with Ace somewhere. Go camping. When the students started to talk about going shopping for supplies, Luffy texted Ace and asked if he wanted to go shopping with him for camp supplies.

Yes! I'd be happy to. Luffy smiled and said he'd text back a date and time once he knew. The others all began planning to go shopping together. Luffy declined, saying he was going to go shopping with his brother. That he'd just made plans a few minutes ago. They all knew Ace was a long lost brother and so were happy for him to go shopping with his brother.

On the last day before break, everyone was excited. The camp was for preparing for the provisional license exam. Luffy thought that was going to be fun, but he wasn't sure what would be improved before then. Luffy already used his chosen powers as efficient as they could be used. Maybe he'd work on his fighting moves from the air. Different forms of dive bombing.

Since they weren't going to get together for two more weeks, the students were planning outings together. Luffy didn't confirm any plans with them. He said that he wanted chances to spend more time with Ace. "Maybe going camping or something," Luffy said with a smile. Nobody burst his bubble or complained about not seeing him.

"We'll see each other in a couple weeks, anyways," Jiro commented. The others nodded. Luffy felt bad for not hanging out with them when they asked, but Uraraka saw his face fall and told him that they weren't mad or anything of the sort.

"That's right, we're happy for you!" Hagakure said in an enthusiastic voice. Luffy smiled and nodded, thanking them for being understanding. "We'll spend tons of time together at camp, don't worry." Luffy nodded, looking forward to it a lot.

Luffy had Merry in his lap on the couch and asked Hawks for some money to go shopping for camp. "Sure," he said easily. Luffy rarely asked for money, so this was a special thing. Then he said that he wanted to go camping with Ace over summer break. "That sounds like a great idea. I'm sure he'd be really happy with that," the pro-hero said with a smile. He was always happy when Luffy talked about wanting to see Ace.

He liked Luffy having someone else. Luffy had shot down his apology about working every day until dinner time or later. He was a hero, of course he had a lot of work. "Besides, I have somebody always here for me," he'd added, pointing to Merry as she scratched her cat post. Hawks nodded, looking relieved.

The next day, Luffy left at noon to go to the nearest shopping center with Ace, money in his backpack, and landed at the mall where Ace had driven to. It was one of his two days off. He was so excited Luffy invited him to go shopping, and while they went from the stores they needed, a clothing store and then a department store, and then a place to get quality sleeping bags and a couple stops for food or drinks, they talked.

Luffy told him about the finals and his performance as well as his classmates' performances. Then he talked about Merry. Ace was a good listener, and after Luffy talked about his friends at U.A., he asked if Luffy was keeping in touch with his friends from Shiketsu.

"Yeah, I'm still talking to Zoro. Not too much, but we do talk still. He says the Three Jis were a nightmare and were now the strongest of the class and very haughty. I'm glad I don't have to deal with them anymore. Bakugo is still pissy at me, but he avoids me and goes after Midoriya the most. They have some sort of history together and it seems like it wasn't good at all," Luffy explained. He was pushing the cart with the supplies he'd be taking.

"So, would you want to go camping or hiking or something?" Luffy asked, changing the subject. Ace was unsurprisingly extremely open to doing that. "Have you ever been camping?"

"No."

"Me neither. I bet it will be a mess, but a fun one. If there's no time good for you with work, we can go on a hike," Luffy replied reasonably. Ace said that was a good idea even if they went camping. Hiking would be fun. "I haven't been hiking in a long time, but it was fun last time." His brother asked when the last time he did it was. "I went with Todoroki in junior high, the first year."

"How was that?"

Luffy laughed and said they sucked at it. Todoroki was clumsy with climbing the steeper mountains and had to catch himself with ice. Luffy's wings were heavy to hike with, so he fell down a few times. "It was really frustrating at the time but is funny to look back on. I'm sure I'd be better now, though."

Ace replied that he could catch him if he fell. Luffy raised his eyebrows and rustled his wings. Ace scoffed at himself, how could he forget Luffy could catch himself by flying? It was funny and Luffy laughed.

They spent all of the money Luffy was given, eating pretzels and drinking smoothies on their way outside. Since Luffy couldn't carry everything flying back, Ace was going to drive him home. They talked in the car, too, and Ace told him he had to tell him all about camp once it ended. Luffy swore he would, and they listened to a terrible comedian on their way back.

"This guy isn't funny at all, what the heck," Luffy said. Ace laughed and agreed. "You're the one who has this in your stereo."

"I got it for free. Someone was dumping all of their CDs and offered me some. I found out the hard way that his sense of humor is terrible." Luffy said the guy liked sexual jokes a lot. "Yeah, I learned that the hard way, too."

They passed Hawks patrolling and Luffy flipped him off from the car with a grin. Not long after, he got a middle finger emoji.

He was able to get everything upstairs himself. Ace was not comfortable enough to come in and meet Merry. He still felt awkward around Hawks even if Luffy assured him that Hawks was happy he came back for him. Their first meeting wasn't good after all, Hawks showing his cold side, suspicious and angry if Ace wasn't the real deal.

But he didn't and never had hated Ace. Still, he was uncomfortable coming in and Luffy didn't press him on it. "I had a lot of fun today, thanks for going shopping with me," Luffy said with a smile. Ace said he had a lot of fun, too. "I promise I'll tell you all about the camp if I don't see you before then."

Ace nodded and said he was open to hiking and/or camping. Luffy just had to tell him when and where. "I will." He went upstairs and put his stuff in his room, packing some of the stuff in the duffle bag before getting to work on the shirts. He cut out the square for his wings to come out and then cut up the collar, sewing the buttons on. He usually stepped into his shirts, having the collar cut open to make enough room and then he'd button the collar's sides together to make it fit like a normal shirt.

It used to take forever before he learned to sew since Hawks was bad at it, but now he could do it fairly quickly. Once everything was packed, he went to the kitchen and got a jello and then started to play with Merry with her string toy.

She liked to sleep with him at night, always on one of his wings like it was a comfy bed for her. She wasn't heavy so it didn't even wake him up. Once she got used to them, she was bold. Hawks had to close his door at night because she had started playing with his shedded feathers at night, getting into the box and waking him up by choking on one of them.

If Luffy had not been concerned over her choking on one, he would have laughed.

Two days later he planned a hike with Ace, which was really fun, and neither of them fell, Luffy's wings balanced just fine. Being up high on the mountain of the park he liked to fly to was nothing new, but Ace was amazed by the view. They could see the whole park below them. "Want to see the lake I learned to fly over?" Luffy offered.

"Sure," Ace replied and both of them hiked up higher and then down lower to get to the crystal clear lake.

"Hawks took me here for the first test run after sort of simulations on the roof of the agency. I crashed into it a few times. I used to be able to walk on the water, but that quirk was one of the twenty that were removed during the surgeries," Luffy explained. Ace asked if he could still swim with his wings. "They get really soggy, but I can still swim. It's not the funnest thing to do, but I don't drown or sink from them getting all soggy."

They sat on the sandy beach and looked out at the water. "Flying sounds amazing." Luffy asked if he wanted to try. "No way. I'm afraid of heights." He said he could fly low to the water. Ace looked hesitant before giving a big sigh and saying he'd try.

Luffy grabbed around Ace's chest from behind and flew up a small height and flew in circles over the lake. Ace was gripping on Luffy's arms so tightly that it probably would have been painful to normal people. "Okay, enough," Ace said in a nervous voice and Luffy brought him back to the shore.

"See, not so bad."

"No, that was terrible."

"Baby." Ace smacked his shoulder and Luffy laughed. "It's really fun once you get used to it. And it saves a lot of time and money with transportation. Me and Hawks barely ever have to use the car. I have this metal pole that I use with grocery shopping so I put all the grocery bag handles on it and then just fly with all of them."

Ace said that was a smart idea, and Luffy agreed. "I came up with it, Hawks used to use the car or just not get much at one time."

"Sounds like you make Hawks' life easier." Luffy said that was true in some ways. He did what he could to be helpful around the house and do errands. On their way back down, they talked more about how Ace was doing. He'd made some friends at the agency so that was nice. And he was thinking about getting a cat, too, after Luffy had blabbed on and on about how awesome Merry was.

It was nice, Luffy had a great time. "I'll text with you. Thanks for coming with me." Ace grinned and returned the sentiment. Then they went their separate ways, Luffy stopping for a tea and then making his way back home, feeling very happy and relaxed. Ace was a good guy, and Luffy was happy he cared enough to find him again.

The next day, he was invited to the UA pool that all of the students were going to. Luffy could put his feet in the water, but not swim, so he went to them, telling Hawks he'd be back later since it was a Sunday. "Have fun," he said, Merry purring in his lap. She favored Luffy but still liked Hawks, which was nice.

When he arrived, everyone was already in the pool. He was in shorts, but not swim shorts and with a shirt on. "Hey, Luffy! Wait, why aren't you in swim clothes?" Luffy pointed to his wings and took his shoes off to put them in the water.

"They get really soggy if I'm submerged," he added unnecessarily. Kaminari asked how he showered. "A cover that wraps around them," he replied. "It's kind of annoying until you get used to it. I was never a big swimmer, so I don't know what I'm missing."

"Man! Now I feel bad," Kirishima said. Luffy asked why. "Cause we can all get in and you can't. That's not cool.

Luffy insisted that it was fine, and he wasn't planning on swimming in the first place. The others were a bit bummed before they moved on, talking and laughing. Todoroki asked how his hike with Ace went. "We hiked the mountain and went to the lake I learned to fly over. He's scared of heights, apparently. It was funny. I'm wanting to go camping with him but I don't know how that will go, really. Neither of us has ever camped so we probably wouldn't be doing anything right."

Tsu said he should try anyway. That he would probably have fun. He knew that was true, but just didn't know if Ace would even have time to go camping around work. After a few hours, Aizawa kicked them out once pool hours were over. They all headed their way home separately, saying they'd see each other soon.

On the days leading up to the camp, he was texting non stop with his friends, being stupid and even texting while gliding up high. Hawks scolded him for it when he ran into the closed window because he was looking at his phone. The pro-hero had been inside when that happened and once he was done telling Luffy he shouldn't do that anymore, he laughed at him.

"I'm not making you dinner then."

"You're the one who flew into the window like a blind bird. If I did that, you'd laugh, too," Hawks pointed out. Luffy knew he was right, and had a food idea he'd been wanting to try out, so he cooked. The next day was the camp, and he'd have to get up early.

After they ate, Luffy took a shower and was going into the kitchen to get Merry her bedtime treat when he slipped on his sock on the kitchen tile and slammed his head into the floor with a deafening crack, and then everything went black.
