Galaxy Creator of Pisces: Thank you.
Guest: yup. DON DON DON
DodgeyPigeon: I'm glad you liked how the story ended up going.
The whole reason I really had Ace hit his head was because I didn't feel like writing the summer camp arc, but I like how it ended turning out in this one lol. Enjoy~
"Hey, you okay over there?" Hawks called, seeing Luffy fall but knowing he'd heal. But he didn't answer so the pro-hero stood up and saw Luffy with a bloody temple and with blood coming out of his ear. "Luffy!" he shouted in horror and immediately called 911 when he wasn't waking up. He was still breathing fine, but his head was bloody and swelling and he had blood coming from his ears.
He'd never had a head injury before, so he didn't know what would happen. Hawks grabbed his phone and Luffy's glasses before carrying him downstairs and out to the waiting ambulance. Biting his lip in worry and fear. Even if he woke up and was fine, there was no way he'd be going to camp. Aizawa would definitely not allow him, as a teacher, to go after a head injury that caused him to bleed out of the ear. And he was positive that a doctor would not let him do that either.
When they got to the hospital, Hawks put the glasses on him and ran with the gurney as he was taken to the ICU.

Luffy woke up at noon the next day, in a bright room that he knew wasn't his own. He felt foggy, and could feel something wrapped around his head. He looked to the side and saw Hawks napping in his chair. Luffy put on the glasses since he wasn't at home and asked Hawks' name.
He woke up with a start and grinned in relief when Luffy was awake. "How are you feeling?" he asked quietly.
"Crappy. What happened?" he asked in confusion, not knowing why he was here. He was just at home, and now he was at a hospital. Hawks told him he'd hit his head really hard last night and cracked the skull, causing his ears to bleed.
"You've slowly been healing over night, but might be foggy for a few days. You couldn't go to camp. I'm so sorry," Hawks said sincerely. Luffy bit his lip, so angry. He was looking forward to it so much. Luffy asked if he could go tomorrow, just go late? Hawks shook his head. "Even if the doctors and I were fine with it, Aizawa told me when I called that you're not allowed to come after an injury like this. He said there was still time afterwards where you could do your own training, just not at camp."
Luffy quietly said he was stupid. "I'm supposed to heal quickly," he lamented.
Hawks said that his brain sent the signals to his quirk nerves. If his brain was unable to function normally and send the messages, his healing quirk wouldn't activate. At least not instantaneously. He had healed, but Luffy did feel foggy and like there were cotton balls in his ears.
"I'm sorry you missed work. I hate causing you to miss work," Luffy said sadly.
"Missing patrol for a day is hardly the worst thing that could happen," Hawks said reasonably. "I'm just glad you woke up. I was afraid you'd be in a coma, but when you got treatment for it, your regenerative quirk kicked in. It'll probably just take longer to be better all the way." Luffy asked if he had his phone. "No, I left in a hurry."
"Everyone is probably so worried. And feel bad for me. I've been texting them, so excited to go. I can't believe I hurt myself by falling inside," Luffy said in anger and embarrassment. "Well, now we know a weak point. My head." He sighed and put his palms to his eyes.
"I told Ace. He wants to visit later. When he comes, I'll go and get you your phone and other things." Luffy said he could go now, Luffy wouldn't be in any danger in a hospital bed. "Are you sure?" he nodded.
Hawks said he'd be back soon and left the room. Luffy assumed he'd gotten a doctor on his way out when one came inside and sat next to him. It was lucky Hawks had gotten his glasses on their way out. He forgot the phone but that wasn't the most important possession for Luffy, it was the glasses and face shield.
He was asked how he felt. "Kind of foggy. Like there are cotton balls in my ears," he answered honestly. "When can I leave?"
The doctor jotted notes down on her clipboard. "You are healing remarkably fast. A head injury like the one you had could have resulted in a coma or permanent, severe brain damage. It's very lucky your quirk heals you. I'm going to keep you here for two more days to monitor and test. Brain injuries are important to be thorough with. Even with your healing factor, you'll still be getting tests."
Luffy sighed, knowing now he had no chance to go to camp. If he got out of the hospital that day, then maybe he could have convinced Aizawa to let him come. He'd aced both final exams, he deserved to go, too! Hawks must have speed flown since he was back only twenty minutes later with a change of clothes, his phone and the book he was in the process of reading.
The doctor told Hawks what she'd told Luffy. Hawks nodded, and once she left, Luffy looked at his phone. 50 missed messages. "I feel weak and stupid. They all think I'm so strong and I got done in by hitting my head."
"You're not weak or stupid. Just unlucky this time. It's not like you did this to yourself, you slipped. And how often has that happened?"
Luffy sighed and said, "Never."
"That's right. And now we know something new. It's good to find out this way than in the middle of a villain attack or dangerous training session." Luffy knew that was true, and started sifting through his messages. They were probably already at camp by now having fun. He opened a group chat and messaged everyone but Bakugo I'm okay. In the hospital. Will be stuck here for two more days at least. :'(
He didn't get any texts until dinner time, when he was eating his own dinner. Hawks took pity on him and got him food from somewhere else after seeing the state of the hospital food. The texts he got back were messages of relief and sympathy. When he asked how the first day went, they replied with Fuck this shit, It was hell!, and I'm scared for tomorrow.
Luffy wished he'd been there. Whatever they did sounded more interesting than being in the hospital all day, getting check ups every four hours. Over the course of the day, the fogginess faded. It was still just barely there by bedtime. "I want you to go to work tomorrow, okay?"
Hawks said he would, since Luffy wasn't in danger anymore. Ace had been unable to visit that day but promised he would tomorrow. Luffy went to bed, phone charging next to him, after Hawks left, telling him he'd see him tomorrow.
When he got up the next day, he went on a walk around the hospital ward, wearing his normal clothes and not the gown. He wasn't in the ICU anymore, and it was a terrible day until Ace came. He had a bag of donuts with him and a hot chocolate.
Luffy sat with him in the cafeteria, letting Ace know he was better, not feeling any different than normal now. He did complain about missing the camp. Ace knew firsthand how excited he was, since he went shopping with him for the supplies. "I'm really sorry, Luffy. I know how much you wanted to go," his brother said sincerely. Luffy stuffed another donut in his mouth, still pouting.
"I wonder what they're doing. Yesterday, everyone told me it was hell. Were they training that hard? It sounds fun, I wish I was there with them. I already missed so much time and wasn't with them for the scary USJ attack. I'm sure I would have been able to help. They're all close to one another in a way I haven't been and maybe can't ever be," Luffy said, looking at his hands on the table.
Ace frowned deeply and said, "You still have over two and a half years there, plenty of time to get closer." Luffy knew that was reasonable, it was only one semester over. And he was there to stay, he wasn't transferring again. Luffy nodded, saying he knew Ace was right.
"Sorry I'm whining," Luffy mumbled.
"It's completely understandable why you're upset. I don't consider it whining, more like confiding," Ace replied. Luffy nodded and thanked him, going back to the donuts. Hawks brought him dinner, and Luffy ate most of it despite being stuffed full of donuts. He shouldn't have eaten all of them, but it was a treat. He just wouldn't eat sweets for a while.
"How was work?" Luffy asked Hawks later. He was still dressed in hero gear, so he'd clearly left work and came directly here.
Hawks said that the most interesting thing that happened was that some guy was about to get naked on the street in an overcoat." Luffy choked on his water and Hawks pat his back, amused.
"What?! What the hell, why?"
Hawks shrugged, saying he was arrested by the police for being naked in public as well as finding out he had nefarious goals for being naked. "No idea. But if his quirk required him to get naked, I feel pretty sorry for him," Hawks said honestly. Luffy pointed out that Hawks was lucky with his quirk. "Yeah, I agree."
"Some of my classmates have kind of useless quirks. Mineta… he has sticky balls as hair that he can pull off his head and stick to other things. Considering what the entrance exam was, I don't see how it could have destroyed the bots to get him enough points to enroll," Luffy said, taking another bite of his sandwich.
The pro-hero looked a little baffled, clearly thinking the same as Luffy. "And he runs away from fights and doesn't like work. I don't understand how he qualified. And he's also an unashamed pervert who could really grow into a problem," he added.
"That is very strange. So, you get to come home tomorrow. Merry slept on your bed." Luffy nodded, wanting to go home, hating being here, even more than the quirk hospital/rehab. He was about to reply when he got a text, a photo sent to him. It was of the students making food, all of them looking miserable and some with varying types of injuries.
"Holy crap," Luffy said, and turned his phone to show Hawks. He raised his brows, and said Luffy might have gotten lucky to not go. "Still, they might be getting stronger. I don't know. There's no use being bummed about it. Nothing I can do now."
Hawks said that was true, and asked what Luffy had done that day. "I ate a bag of donuts when talking to Ace. That was the real only interesting thing. I walked around a bit, read, and was on my phone. Nothing remotely interesting."
It was late when he got a notification on his phone of a news story. It was around midnight when his phone went off. He woke up from it and grumbled before unplugging it and looking at the screen, glasses on in case there was a video of someone using their quirk. When he saw the title, his eyes widened and he shot up to a sitting position, reading the article.
The League of Villains had attacked the school training camp, and one of the students was missing. Luffy was in shock. Again, he wasn't there to help. Both times because of a health emergency. Both times, he was useless. But why attack the school again? What was the point? Why did the villains even care about the students?
He immediately texted everyone, asking if they were alright. He waited impatiently but got a message back. A lot are injured, no one is dead, and Bakugo is missing. It was Tsu. Nobody was dead, thank god. But why Bakugo? He wasn't exactly a person who would be desired for any organization based on how shit his teamwork skill was.
His hands knotted in the blankets. I'm sorry I wasn't there to help. Again.
It's not your job to save us. I don't know how your injury is now, but you might have been in more danger if you were still sick.
But he wasn't hurt anymore. He could have been a help. He would be a help, he didn't know how. Still, I might have been able to help.
Don't let this eat you up, we're fine besides Bakugo. But everyone is already searching for him. The heroes will find him.
I'll see you all as soon as I'm out tomorrow. Tell them I wish I could have helped them.
I will.
Luffy forced himself to sleep, imagining himself shutting his brain off. Weirdly, he woke up and it was morning just after thinking that. The doctor came in and told Luffy he was free to go. "Hawks-san called and said he'd meet you outside."
"Thank you," Luffy said, and put his clothes and book into his backpack before going outside, finding Hawks was in the parking lot, looking troubled. He saw Luffy and gave him his face shield. Luffy put the glasses in the little container for them. "I know. About last night. Nobody is dead, but Bakugo is missing," he said without anything being said. Hawks sighed, and put his hand on Luffy's head, knowing how Luffy must feel. "I'm just glad nobody is dead. I dislike Bakugo, but I hope he's alright, too."
Hawks nodded in agreement. "I want to go home and then fly. Being stuck inside for three days was terrible." They both shot up and headed home, Luffy spreading his wings as far as possible, stretching them on their way. "I'm sorry about hitting my head, again."
The older hero was quiet, and then said, "Is it bad that I'm glad you hit your head and didn't go to camp?"
"No. I understand why you feel that. Ace probably feels that way, too. I don't think it's bad," Luffy replied immediately. Hawks nodded, looking a little relieved but also troubled. When they got home, Luffy put his dirty clothes in the laundry basket in his room and showered. Hawks said he was going back to work, and told Luffy to be careful while flying. Luffy said he would.
When Merry noticed him, she went running over to Luffy, rubbing against his legs. "Hi, baby," Luffy said, letting the cat bump her nose against his. "I'm back home, you can sleep with me tonight. Sorry I left. I'll be gone for awhile. Luckily, it's early and I have plenty of time."
He wasn't stupid or being reckless, he was going to be useful. He wouldn't get close enough for anyone to touch him. He could be up very high and still use the super hearing. It might take a long time, but he was going to search Japan for Bakugo. He left the window, closing the screen behind him and locking it. It was made of quality wire that Merry couldn't chew through even if she tried.
He closed his eyes and flew up high enough that he would look like a bird. He opened that power with super senses, and took in deep breaths as he focused it all on the world below. He searched his city, eventually going from roof to roof and spending a couple minutes there, searching the buildings without being reckless. He brought his old camera, and pretended to take photos of the sky from each building, making it look like he was just taking pictures at different vantage points.
Plus, the people in that city and area knew of Luffy from seeing him on patrol with Hawks. So seeing a winged kid was nothing new or spectacular. It took two hours before he was done with that city. He moved on to the next, and then the next, exhausting his senses, small noises being had to syphon out between the car horns and people talking.
He smelled everything except the smell of an explosion. He searched everywhere, and by the time it was dark, Hawks was asking where he was. I'll come back soon.
Okay…
He flew back home, as fast as he could, which took around twenty minutes. Hawks was already in his pajamas. Luffy flew in, unlocked the screen for him. "Where were you?"
Luffy never lied to Hawks. "Looking for Bakugo," he said honestly. "Don't worry, I'm not stupid. I stayed in the air or on the tops of buildings. I spoke to nobody. I just was trying to hear his voice or smell what his explosions smell like."
Hawks said, "It's not your job to find him. Leave it to the pro-heroes, the League of Villains is dangerous." But it wasn't a reprimand. Luffy had done nothing that would get him in trouble. He went flying around all the time, this time was just him smelling and listening as well.
"I could do nothing to help any of them when they needed me. The least I can do is try and find Bakugo. Who can fly that's part of the search? It's not anywhere near your jurisdiction, and not even you can use your senses like I can. I- I have to do something. To show them that I'll be there when I can. I have no stay at home order on me since they've never actually seen me," Luffy explained. Hawks sat down.
"I know that's all true, I know that you're right. But you better not mess up at this. I trust you to be responsible and careful. But if Aizawa or the school tells you to stay home, you're doing that, okay?"
"So you aren't going to stop me?"
"Why, you're just going flying? You do that all the time, why would I think anything of it?"
Luffy smiled. "Good answer."
The next morning he had Hawks wake him up when he left. "You. Careful. Understand?" Luffy nodded, promising he would and went back to where he'd left off. It was 6:00, he had all day to search. Since he knew he'd be out a long time, he brought his backpack, packing granola bars in it and a large bottle of water. His phone was charged to 100%. He was completely free to work.
He went from building to building, jumping from one to the next, in the middle of the roofs so no one on the streets could see. He was silent and stealthy, making no noise and keeping low. He searched, ignoring his phone when it wasn't Hawks' or Ace's ringtone. He went from city to city and by the time it was 3:30, he found a suspicious building. He was two buildings away, but heard the sound of an explosion from inside.
He wasn't directly on that one, not wanting to seem suspicious. He couldn't smell anything, but heard an explosion. So, he hesitantly went to the roof of that building and smelled through the vent, smelling the distinct smell of Bakugo's horrible explosions. They smelled terrible. He closed his eyes and pressed his ear to the roof, hearing voices he didn't recognize, but the sound of someone screaming into a muffled object.
Luffy didn't want to cause trouble for innocent people, but he heard "Bakugo" said by a cold voice, and he flew away from the building immediately, high up so no one could see him through the windows and then to the side. He knew the address, and called Hawks, "I found him. What should I do? Who do I call?" he asked.
"How did you know it was him?"
"I smelled the stench of his explosions, the sound of someone's voice being muffled, like there was a rag in front of their mouth. Someone said Bakugo's name as well. I was silent, and stayed out of sight. It's in Kamino. Who do I tell?" Luffy asked, flying in large circles.
"Call Aizawa and then come home. We don't want them knowing it was you that found them. They haven't seen you before, and nobody knows about the super senses." Luffy asked how he would explain to him knowing it was Bakugo. "Say you were walking and just barely heard an explosion and thought you heard someone say Bakugo's name."
"That won't be enough to convince him to send a team there," Luffy replied. He sighed, and perched on a tall building below. "I could make it anonymous from a pay phone, but I'm easy to identify."
Hawks said he wasn't sure where to call from, but that making an anonymous tip might be the best action. "Do you have money on you?" Luffy did. "Use a pay phone completely away from home and then leave."
"My first stealth mission, huh?"
"I guess so. After that, come home, okay? And don't tell the others you were the one to find him." Luffy said he was fine with that. But he also wanted them to know he was there for them. They wouldn't know it was him, but Bakugo would be saved. He would rather help without them knowing it's him instead of bragging.
"I'll be on my way home, soon," Luffy said and the call was over. But then he saw he had a message from Tsu, asking if he wanted to see everyone. He called Hawks back. "Change of plan. I'm gonna call the tip in and then go see my friends. My completely different location from where I call and the hospital might make it seem like it wasn't me at all."
"I hope I don't get in trouble for this."
"Pretend you don't know if anything happens. You're a good liar, even if you don't lie to me," Luffy replied. "I'll text you when I make it to the hospital." Hawks agreed and Luffy flew to Hosu, finding the most secluded pay phone he could find. He searched the area for any cameras pointed at the post. It was an abandoned area, and he saw no camera. The thing ate his first money before it worked the second time, and he dialed 911.
Luffy made his voice deeper and said, "I have a tip on where the League of Villains are right now. An abandoned bar in the Kamino district. The street adjacent to China Town. Across the street from an abandoned market." He hung up before any questions were asked and flew away as fast as he could, heading west, and a couple minutes later, he was at the hospital, landing in front and hurrying in.
He found a bunch of his classmates gathered in the lobby. "Guys," Luffy said, "How is everyone?"
Many of them had bruises, but nothing too bad. Tsu hurried over and told him immediately that no one was mad at him for missing the incident. Luffy nodded, feeling a lot better about it now. And if the tip was wrong, nobody would know it was Luffy.
"Recovery Girl came and helped us. Jiro and Hagakure are still in the hospital still from breathing in gas. Deku hurt his arm really bad. He's still in the hospital for it. How are you? Aizawa said you hit your head," Uraraka said. Luffy nodded.
"I fell and cracked my skull on the ground. It scared Hawks since I was bleeding from the ears." They gasped in horror. "But I'm fine now! All healed." Iida said that bleeding from the ears must have meant the head injury was very serious. "Ah, yeah. If I didn't have regenerative powers then I'd have had permanent brain damage or gone into a coma."
Kaminari said of course he couldn't go to camp if he hit his head hard enough for his ears to bleed! "Can we talk about it, what happened at camp?"
They told him in detail about how the Test of Courage had gone horribly wrong, with villains entering through portals and setting the forest on fire, attacking the students all for the objective of getting Bakugo. A lot of people were hurt from both classes and the workers as well. It sounded like a nightmare.
"Wait! A purple portal? Was it really dark?" Iida nodded, saying that was Kurogiri, the second in command it seemed, besides Shigaraki. "I think I saw him. Did he wear this weird neck thing and was wearing a suit?"
"Yeah…"
"And is Shigaraki a guy who has a hand on his face? I saw them, they were watching the nomu attack at the Hosu incident! I didn't know who they were, and they went back into the portal before I could get close enough to see them better," Luffy explained.
"Then it's likely that they were behind the nomu attack, since the first nomu came during the USJ incident," Iida replied. Luffy huffed, crossing his arms, saying he'd have known who they were if he'd been there to help them. He was ashamed at the beginning when he thought he was glad he didn't get mixed up in that. Well, at that time he was trying to convince himself he wasn't invested in the class. Still talked to his friends, but he wasn't there to help so he shouldn't think about it like that.
He put that out of his mind, and he spent the afternoon with them, waiting to see Midoriya until they were told that he was out of surgery but would be asleep for at least another day, so they couldn't see him. Luffy heard his arm was very, very broken and swollen and disfigured.
Midoriya already destroyed his fingers and both arms. How many more times could he destroy his body without permanent consequences? But they'd see him the next day. Luffy flew home and turned on the news the moment he got back, answering when Ace called him once he was out of work, asking how he was, how his classmates were.
"Can I tell you something you can't tell anyone else? And our phones aren't tapped or anything?" Luffy asked. Ace fell silent for a minute before he said there was no reason their phones would be tapped and he always kept their conversations to himself. "I spent the morning and day searching for any trace of Bakugo. The one who blows up a lot and the one to get kidnapped. I found him. I found him at an abandoned bar. I could smell the scents of his explosion and heard muffled shouting and then some guy say his name."
"Did you call the police?"
Luffy told him about how he went out of his way for nobody to know it was him that made the call. He'd stayed out of sight and had deepened his voice and made it gruff enough that it was unrecognizable. "I just hope the tip was right and I'm not wasting any hero's time"
"It was a stealth mission, then. But, why did you not say it was you?"
Luffy said he didn't want to get in trouble or somehow be traced back to the call. "I don't like thinking about it, but how did they know where the camp would be? Is there someone on the inside? If there is, then my name could have gotten out and would have been bad for me."
"I understand that." Luffy spent his night in front of the TV, and Hawks came in right when the weather report turned into breaking news. Luffy leaned forward, Merry in his lap and desperately wanted it to be the heroes rescuing Bakugo.
And when the news said "fight in Kamino district between heroes and villains," Luffy shouted, "YES!" loudly. "Hawks, I got it! I was right!" Luffy cheered, pointing at the screen. "My tip wasn't a prank call!"
Hawks kept his gear on and nodded, saying he got a call about a hero raid in Kamino based on a tip. He wasn't asked to come, but was warned about it. "They also asked me to keep on patrol while it is happening. I came in for a bottle of water." Luffy offered to go out with him. "No, it's fine. You did your part of the story for this. I get to do mine now. Can you make something that'll be good cold?"
"Sure. Be careful," Luffy said. He got his phone and brought it to the kitchen as Hawks flew out the window. He propped it up on the counter and turned on the news, listening as he made spicy beef curry, since they didn't have chicken at the moment. He would make the rice later when Hawks ate, since cold steamed rice wasn't good with curry at any temperature.
It was easy to multitask, and by the time he was done with the food and put all of the pot into the fridge, the fighting had broken loose and All Might was going on a rampage. Well, he is the number one hero, against a creepy looking guy that no one knew who he was. Luffy froze when he heard the reporter say that whoever the villain was, he was using more than one quirk.
He went back to the TV to look at it better, and saw All Might having a difficult time. It was like an action movie, only it wasn't fun to watch him get beat up so horribly. He heard nothing over the safety of Bakugo, all there was was the battle of Kamino. But, Aizawa sent a message out to all of his students. Bakugo has been recovered.
Luffy grinned and sighed, holding his phone to his chest. His first major mission ended with nobody knowing he was the hero. All the attention would not be on the anonymous tip, but this battle between All Might and the burnt face guy.
He texted Hawks Aizawa said Bakugo has been recovered. Luffy 1 - LoV 0.
That's great! Are you sad they don't know?
No. I'm just glad I could help, even if they don't know it was me.
He got a thumbs up emoji, and Luffy texted him he made beef curry. Can't wait.
The fight ended and Luffy hadn't been watching the last part before the camera zoomed in on All Might's figure. Much… skinnier than usual. He looked sick, but he had won. The bad guy was laying in a pile of rubble, not moving, while All Might stood victorious, no matter how emaciated he looked.
Luffy could hear cheering outside, and looked across the street, not directly near them, where he knew a TV played with ads and important stories. So people over there were watching the news and cheered when All Might was the winner. Luffy went back to the couch and flopped down.
All Might won. Come eat.
Be back soon.
He put the rice in the rice cooker and brought out the curry, putting it on the stove to heat up. Luffy heard the sound of flapping wings before the screen opened. "What happened, I didn't get to see." Luffy put the rice into a bowl since Hawks mixed his rice and the curry around.
"All Might won, but he looks heavily injured and ill. Like, he's lost all of his muscle. I'm sure there will be replays all night. I don't know how the Bakugo rescue went since the fight is in Kamino, but is not where I reported Bakugo being kept. And I didn't actually see All Might fighting anyone but the guy he knocked out." He took a bite of his curry and said, "I hope not too many people got hurt."
Hawks frowned at the image of All Might looking so weak. "Isn't there a guy who loses weight if he fights too much?"
"Yeah, Fat Gum. But that's not All Might's ability, as far as I know. And he doesn't really seem shocked that he looks like this," Hawks replied. Both of them had no idea what was up with it. "I don't know if he'll still be able to hero or even teach if he's like this. He honestly looks ill." Hawks sounded worried.
"I almost just said something really, really messed up," Luffy said. Hawks looked over and Luffy added, "I almost pointed out that you'll be number two now." Merry tried sniffing his curry but then jumped back down to crawl under the couch.
Hawks said that it was probably true, even if it was a little messed up. "Not that I want to be number one or two. Endeavor will be number one, now. I'm sure he'll be furious about it, though." He sounded sympathetic, and Luffy knew what he was referencing. Enveavor had always wanted to take All Might's place as number one, but now he'd just be automatically moved up. Like what he purposely did to the Three Jis. He let them be the school's number one without ever beating the previous number one, never knowing if you were stronger than they were.
"Poor guy," Luffy said. "It's sad for both of them. I didn't even notice All Might being sick, though. He was fighting and teaching just fine recently." After dinner, Luffy went to his room and went in his room, staring out the window. All Might looked sick. And broken. Luffy was never in awe of him, but he was a great hero, and meant a lot to the world. The "symbol of peace". What would happen when he was gone? He couldn't see it being anything good. He sighed. Hawks was probably gonna have a harder time now. He would be number two now. And could grumpy Endeavor actually be number one?
Luffy had his doubts about that.
