Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter
Author's Note: I hope you all enjoyed the last chapter. I decided to aim for about 20 chapters, so around twenty-thousand words. Until next time, enjoy. Did none of you notice Slithers? I would have thought that maybe someone might think about Padfoot, Moony, Prongs and Wormtail...
"Harry, wake up, it is early 10am in the morning" Sirius noted amused.
"Ehhhhhh!" Harry groaned out a reply.
Despite wanting Harry to get out of bed willingly, Sirius levitated Harry to the edge of the bed and dropped him to the floor. Hurting as he sat up, Harry glared at Sirius as if Sirius had just murdered him. After having taken a shower, Harry slowly climbed down the stairs to the kitchen to have breakfast. While Harry was having some eggs, toast, tea, and pumpkin juice, Harry noticed that Sirius and Remus had entered the room, both of which had long faces.
"Padfoot, Moony, why the long faces?" Harry questioned curiously.
"Because Slithers is here," Sirius and Remus said in unison.
"Wh-,"Harry began, but immediately stopped when his jaw dropped to the ground as his most hated professor entered the room swiftly. Instead of the predictable insults that were bound to be hurled at him, the professor sat down quietly and started to read the newspaper. Finally, after having consumed his hearty meal, Harry rushed back to his bedroom to complete some assignments for the term that was just around the corner.
"Kreature was beckoned by filthy master to summon you dirty half-blood to lunch"
"Yeah, yeah, thanks Kreature. Go report back to Sirius to see if there is anything else you can do, just make sure to tell him I will be down shortly."
And just like he entered, Keature exited with a pop.
Harry lingered in his room for a few more minutes and then stopped to head to lunch with Sirius. Despite thinking that he would be eating with Sirius in the kitchen, Sirius surprised him with Professor Snape and Remus joining them as they apparated to Diagon Alley. They all ate a pleasant lunch without killing each other. Not only did they not kill each other, but they were actually talking with one another as if they were old friends. Now Harry was too easy to write lunch off as them being friendly towards one another because of two reasons: They were in public, and Harry's Birthday was tomorrow - not that the professor would actually be nice to him.
After Lunch, they decided to get some early shopping done for the school year before McGonagall brought the first years and their parents to clog the streets. Only a few other families were beginning to start the back to Hogwarts rush. Snape had disappeared after lunch, yet Harry felt as though he was back at Grimmauld Place. They stopped in each of the bookstores in order to find the plethora of material that was required for classes. Finally, after they had visited each of the stores, they grabbed some ice cream. Remus had disappeared with a crack before they had reached the ice cream shop leaving Sirius and Harry alone.
"Harry, there is a lot I need you to know, but I don't know how ready you will be to hear it."
"What are you talking about Padfoot? If it is about my parents, then I want to know any information about them."
"Well then I guess you will find out tonight after dinner."
"Why can't you just tell me now?"
"I can't Harry. I wish I could, I really do."
Growing agitated at his godfather, Harry quickly ate his ice cream cone, a big mistake as a massive brain freeze engulfed Harry to the point that he could not think.
Having enjoyed their treat, Sirius brought them back to the house. It was now midafternoon, and no one was in the mood to do any work or talking, so they all relaxed and read their books and lounged about. It came as no surprise to Harry that his most loathed professor was in the formal living room eating some scones and drinking tea while reading texts about potions.
At last it was time for dinner. Although Harry enjoyed the dinner, he couldn't get over the fact that Severus Snape, his most hated professor, was still residing with him and the remaining two Marauders. Dinner was a scrumptious meal prepared by Dobby, who after learning to cook for Hogwarts, decided to make a few recipes for Harry and Sirius.
After the cheesecake dessert, Sirius asked Harry to follow him to a room that was tucked away from view. Just to enter the room, Harry had to swear an unbreakable oath to never tell the information of what was to be discussed outside of the room.
Upon taking the oath, Severus Snape appeared through the door and took the oath himself. Remus Lupin also entered the room and took the oath. Sirius then swore to the oath and asked everyone to take a seat in the chairs that were spread throughout the room. After everyone sat down, that is everyone but Sirius, Sirius announced the topics that they would be discussing: Professor Snape's visit, and Lilly and James's big secret.
Sirius then sat down, and Harry had a dreadful feeling that this meeting was about to change the rest of his life, but whether it was going to change it for the better remained to be seen.
