DISCLAIMER:
Hello, chapter 18 is released. The sixth episode is about to start, but before we will see the effects of the last elimination. How will Zoey react to the elimination of her friend? Will this change the balance of power on the foxes? And what will happen in the ferrets now that Jay is on the move? Find out next on this chapter.
And remember, if you like the story, please leave a review that not only makes me happy but also helps me to see your thoughts on the story. But if you don't like writing reviews at least mark it as a favorite, that way I know you are enjoying it. Now let me answer the last chapter review.
Tempokeep: I am really glad you had liked the story so far. I am glad you like some of the twists with the existing characters.
GeoFicts: Yes, Dawn had to go, but in all honesty, I have some problems deciding between her and another character that could go in her place. I hope this was the correct decision.
guest: I am not sure you will read until here, because it is a chapter 2 review, but Zoey is a kind soul, and even if she defended Courtney, that doesn't mean she was fond of her or consider the former C.I.T. her friend. She only thought it was unfair to gang against her in a moment of weakness.

Run foxes to earth (or maybe ferrets) Part 1
Last time on Total Drama, Tyranny of the Masses, we had our second blast to the past challenge. Our campers jumped from a 1001 feet tall cliff into shark-infested waters. But the twist is that they have to climb it back, in a cut the tall poppy challenge. Where the top climber could be shooted off the cliff by one of our sponge ball shooters.
But after too much dilly-dallying while climbing the mountain, the not so favorites foxes lost again. And this time, the public choose to cut the tallest poppy and eliminate Dawn. At last! I never liked her too much anyway, and now we can keep the show 20% less weird. But how will the weirds that remain react to her elimination? Will the foxes continue their losing streak? Who will Beth choose, Alejandro or Duncan? And what does Heather think about it? Let's find next on Total Drama Tyranny of the masses.
It was a new day, all the campers knew already about Dawn elimination. It was a shock for everyone and a twist to the rules. But the contestants expected something like this from Chris. Especially the man who was doing his morning routine.
Shawn always woke up before the sunrise. He went out of the cabin and made his cardio routine, some running, squats, high knees, jumping jacks. It was to build stamina and speed. He then foraged around the forest for his breakfast.
But he was not the only early waker. Brick, his former teammate, also wake up almost at sunrise. But he went jogging around the forest instead of doing some other kind of routine. Shawn was grateful for that because he never trusted that puppet of the army.
Another person he often met was Dawn, she would meditate in the entrance of the forest. But the seer was too mysterious, so Shawn decided to leave her alone. Now he regrets it, because if he had befriended her, maybe he would have more clues about the mysterious person without an aura.
And the last one of the early wakers is Dramaman. He usually woke up and disappeared, appearing later doing some cardio exercises. He was as weird as Dawn, but at least he was a friend, and after what he showed him in the cave, the conspiranoic trusted him.
"G'day Draman. Already doing your push-ups?" said Shawn in an Aussie accent, as he came closer to the masked man and also started to warm up.
The wrestler tilted his head and replied in his deep voice. "Good morning. What with the Australian accent?"
Shawn smiled, still doing his exercises. "It helps me to feel closer to my Jass. You know when you have a long-distance relationship between 2 continents, you have to learn some tricks to feel closer."
The wrestler nodded, "Are you happy? I mean, in your relationship."
Shawn blushed, something uncharacteristic of the Zombie expert. "Yes. You know, if I get killed in the apocalypse because I love her, it will be worth it."
"I'm glad to hear that," said the wrestler. Shawn didn't need to see his face to know he was smiling.
Then an unexpected visitor joined them. At least it was for Dramaman, because she was invited by Shawn.
"Sorry, I'm late. I oversleep," said Sammy, panting. She was wearing a red tracksuit and sneakers instead of her usual cheerleader uniform.
Shawn didn't stop his push-ups but threw a stern gaze at the younger twin. "Sammy, I told you a hundred times. What is the most important thing for your survival training?"
Sammy looked at the ground, lowering her eyebrows. "Discipline." She replied, almost sighing.
The conspiranoic jumped from the ground to stand up, folding his arms and nodding. "YES! Discipline. More than anything, you want to be strict with yourself. Even if you have a strong body, if you lack discipline, you will be a zombie on the first day of the end."
"I know I am sorry." Sammy closed her eyes and bowed a little as she said this.
"Well, I will go to find breakfast. You start warming up. And remember, no cheating with the numbers, that is discipline." Shawn said as he went away into the woods.
The younger twin began to stretch and to run on her place, the wrestler doing some high knees. Sammy thought he was ignoring her until he began to speak.
"Shawn training is very spartan. But if you want to train like him, there is something you need before discipline," said Dramaman, without stopping his routine.
Sammy blinked a couple of times and looked at him, "And what is it? Shawn always said the discipline is the base. I don't think there is something before."
The wrestler chuckled. "Goal. Why do you want to become strong? And don't tell me you are preparing yourself for the imminent zombie apocalypse."
Sammy sighed. She had never really talked with Dramaman, but maybe he could give her a piece of unbiased advice.
"I want to beat my sister. To show everyone once and for all that I am not a second rate Amy," answered Sammy, starting to do her jumping jacks.
Dramaman stopped his routine and faced her, "That's not a good goal. You will not become strong with that kind of motivation."
Sammy was shocked, looking at him with wide eyes and her mouth open, "What do you mean? I have to be better than her. I will not become her doormat again. This time I have the perfect chance to beat her. It IS a great goal," she didn't know why but the tanned wrestler words make her truly mad.
"You are wrong. You already fell into her game. YOU are not her doormat. You are in no way lesser than her. You don't have to probe her anything. Your goal must be something positive, something for yourself, not for her," Dramaman said, adjusting his gloves.
Sammy kept looking at him, she was distressed, lowering her eyebrows while talking. "I understand what you are trying to say. But it's not that easy. She always bullied me, and at last, I can-" Sammy didn't dare to end the sentence. She realized that it was true. Even if Jass, Sky, and Shawn support her, she still feared to be a second rate, Amy.
With a big sigh, she looked at the wrestler, her face calmer than before. "Then what should be my goal?"
"That is something you have to find yourself. I have to take a shower and help Toph and Mik cleaning the cabin. After that, we can train together if you want. Moving your body, you may discover a better goal." Said Dramaman as he took his towel and began to walk in the direction of the communal bathrooms.
Sammy kept watching at him as he went away.
"Shawn is right. Dramaman maybe is more than meets the eye. It's a shame he uses that horrible mask and the name." Sammy shivered, thinking of using herself the yellow and red outfit. Then she continued with her training.
Confessional: Dramaman
The wrestler is sitting on the confessional, with his back leaning on the wall. "I am no expert, but I can assure you that anything you try out of resentment will consume you. But you can't blame her. You just have to see the past season to know her sister really bully her. I am glad me and my siblings don't have that kind of relationship."
Beth went out of her cabin to take a walk around the woods. She loved nature, and strolling always helped her to concentrate and relax. And right now, she wasn't comfortable in the cabin. Courtney was a bossy bighead, and Zoey seemed to be taking her side. Well, that is just because she didn't was with miss C.I.T. during the Action season. And let's not talk about Heather.
"Please señorita, don't frown like that. You will ruin your beautiful face," said Alejandro, that was walking outside his cabin. He gazed at her with a charming smile on his face.
Beth blushed, her eyes sparkling. "Hehe, beautiful, you say! Oh, Alejandro, you are such a handsome devil."
"You are too nice, Beth. But I am not that kind of man anymore. Right now, I just want to be a good friend and enjoy my time here," said Alejandro, chuckling.
"And win one million dollars," said Beth narrowing her eyes at him.
Alejandro denied it, waving a finger and smiling. "You can laugh if you want. But I know I cannot win the million. I was so cruel and manipulative in the past. So I will be eliminated soon. Probably the next time we lose."
Beth flustered, stuttering and fiddling with her fingers. "D-Don't say that. You already survive 3 eliminations. And you promised to help me eliminate Lightning. And a gentleman never goes back his word."
"You are right señorita. It's not like me being so negative," Alejandro suddenly stepped closer to Beth, looking at her eyes and putting his hand quickly but delicately on her shoulder. "Let me show you a sign of my gratitude for being such a good friend."
Beth was surprised by Alejandro being so close to her. So she closed her eyes and puckering out her lips, waiting for the inevitable kiss.
The Spaniard was startled by the brunette reaction. He just wanted to tease her. But just when he was about to kiss her, he saw someone looking at them.
"Oh, Brick, What are you doing out here?" said Alejandro in a surprised tone. The cadet, who was in his morning jog, turned and began to run toward the couple.
"Darn it. There is always someone snooping around." Said Beth buffing, and looking with disappointed expression at the ground.
Brick oblivious to this event waved at them. "Good Morning, fellow teammates. I hope not to be interrupting anything."
Beth looked daggers at Brick while Alejandro chuckled. "No mi amigo[1], of course not. Do you always go out to jog this early?" The Spaniard added, trying to defuse the situation.
"Yes, as part of my daily routine. It's great to begin the day feeling energized." Said Brick with a big smile, still jogging in his place.
Alejandro nodded, maybe this was a good chance to know the cadet better. "Hey! That sounds great. Do you mind if we join you?"
"Of course not. The more, the merrier. What do you say, Beth? Wanna come with us?" said Brick facing at the wannabe.
Beth shook her head, "Oh no, no. I am a slow runner. I would only be a load to you guys."
"We can go slower. So don't worry about it," said Alejandro in a low and seductive voice. For a moment, Brick wasn't sure if he was still talking about the morning jogging.
Beth blushed again, showing a sheepishly smile. "Thanks, Alejandro. I am sure. You two have fun. We can always see each other after you end jogging."
"Well, then let's go, Brick, I am curious to see if I can keep with you and your routine," said Alejandro stretching, then he winked at Beth, "Let's see you later, señorita. I will miss you".
Brick blinked a couple of times, maybe he interrupted something after all. "I am sure you can keep it with me. Let's go then. See you later, ma'am."
And then the two continued jogging, while Beth decided to go to the dining hall.
Confessional: Beth
Beth was twiddling her fingers at the camera. "I KNOW I shouldn't trust Alejandro. He is handsome, intelligent, had a silver tongue, and used this trick a lot in world tour season. But maybe he really changed. OH, WHAT SHOULD I DO! I wish Lindsay was still here, she is an expert in men and relationships." Beth was quiet a moment and then panicked. "OH NO! I mean, she is an expert because she is intelligent, she had only dated Tyler and never cheated on him. That's true. Sorry, Linds!" said Beth looking mortified at the camera.
On the Ferrets side, Zoey went looking for Mike to spend some time together. In this few days after changing teams, he had become a lot closer to Topher, and Dramaman, two teammates who help cleaning the cabin. She looked inside, but only the pretty boy and the wrestler were there.
"Excuse me. Do you know where is Mike?" asked Zoey, disappointed for missing his boyfriend.
Topher smiled at her. He had a cloth tied around his head, covering his hair. "He went to throw the dirty water from washing the floor. He will come back soon."
Zoey nodded and began to wait for him. After Dawn's elimination, she was a little blue and needed some of Mike's attention to recharge her battery.
Meanwhile, Mike was behind the cabins, he was supposed to throw the water by the lake, but he instead threw it on the grass. When someone shouted behind him.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?" Mike was startled and jumped surprised. He then noticed it was one of the twins.
Mike put a hand over his heart, that was pounding quickly."Oh, it's you Amy. You scared me!"
"I am not Amy, I am Samey," said the twin frowning.
Mike rubbed his arm, looking at the ground, ashamed. "I am sorry, is that you look very similar."
The twin laughed. "It was a joke, I am Amy. See, I have this beauty mark. And also I am more classy and pretty than Samey," said the older twin, fluttering her eyelashes.
Really? He mixed me with my sister, I mean c'mon I am thousand of times better and prettier than her. Thought Amy, forcing herself to smile.
"Oh, you are right, sorry." Said Mike looking at her face. He then noticed they were so close that he could smell her perfume. She smelled like cherries.
Mike stepped back quickly, chuckling. Amy looked at him with bedroom eyes. Stepping closer to him.
"You know, I have always admired you. You were so brave in the Revenge season. And also you and Zoey were SO cute together. When they swapped you into our team. I couldn't sleep from the excitement." Said Amy, hugging Mike's arm.
Mike blushed a lot, especially at Zoey's mention. "Yes, I am very in love with Zoey. My girlfriend. You know because we are dating, hehe."
"Do you knew that when you look very handsome when you are nervous?" said Amy hugging Mike's arm more tightly.
Then someone came from the cabins, the smile on Zoey's face turned quickly in a frown.
"Mike! here you are-" she said, trying to find the words, then she added in a cracking and lower voice, "I was looking for you everywhere."
Mike blanched, looking at Zoey with wide eyes. "Zo-Zoey, hi, we were just-"
But before he could say anything, Amy let go of him, with a big smirk on her face, running to Zoey. "Oh my! You are Zoey, I was just telling Mike that I was a big fan of both of you."
"You are?" replied Zoey, distressed, without time to register what was happening.
Amy grasped Zoey's hand between her own, the older twin making a playful smile. "Of course, you were so great in the All-star season. And you two make such a great couple. You are fortunate to have someone as handsome and dependable as him by your side."
Zoey tried to smile, but she felt numb after watching them. So she only made a twisted imitation of a smile. "Yes. He is wonderful. Thank you-"
Amy smirked, interrupting her in a low and menacing voice. "But you should be careful. Many girls would love to take him from you."
Zoey frowned, but before she could reply, Amy was running to the cabins. "Sorry, I cannot stay, I have to help my friend with one of her silly hobbies. But let's talk later. It was an honor meeting you, Zoey. See you later, Mickey."
Mike walked to her girlfriend. Zoey was frowning, trying to understand what just happened. "Mike, who is her?"
"She is just a friend, Zoey. Don't worry about it," replied Mike, rubbing his arm.
Zoey was pouting, gazing at him with a worried expression. "She was too close to you for just a friend, no? More than hugging, she seemed to be rubbing her body against your arm."
Mike blushed. "She may be too physical. But she was just a fan. Zoey, don't worry about it." He hugged her. Zoey nodded and try to have a good time with him, but the image of Amy hugging him was burned on her head.
Confessional: Zoey
"Yes, I may be a little jealous. But can you blame me? She is younger, more attractive, and with gorgeous blonde hair. Ugh. I really hate her type. And also is not the first time that Mike gets too close to other girls. Only this time, he can't blame Vito." Said Zoey folding her arms, with a sad expression, and biting her lower lip.
Courtney was writing in a notepad while sitting under a tree. She needed to organize her thoughts, and making a list helped her. It seemed silly, but for Courtney taking control and organizing her environment helped her to relax. Then she realized that she hated that aspect of herself. But after some time she had learned to accept it and use it in more positives ways.
The days at home planning to come back for a new season to talk with Gwen seemed like the distant past. She had been only 2 weeks on the island, and it seemed so long already. And not only because of the challenges. Also about herself. About what Dawn said and, of course, about Duncan. They never talked again about that first night at the campfire.
A female voice interrupted her thoughts. "Are you writing a diary? That doesn't seem like something YOU would do."
Courtney looked at the girl, raising her eyebrows. It was Heather, the Queen Bee was walking toward her with a smirk.
"And why would it be unusual for me to keep a diary? I am known as an organized person and almost O.C.D," said Courtney while closing her notepad.
Heather sat under the same tree as the Latin girl. "Because even if you are organized, you will not waste your time in something as futile as recording your thought from the day. That's only for pathetic loners than don't have something better to spend their time. You are better than that."
Courtney rolled her eyes, she knew exactly why Heather was saying that. "That is generalization fallacy. There are as many reasons to keep a diary as persons, and not all who writes one are 'pathetic losers.'"
"Even then, you don't keep one," said Heather in an arrogant tone.
Courtney sighed. This time it was her loss. "No, I don't keep one. But anyway, what do you want? It's not like you come only to talk about how I spend my free time."
Heather chuckled. "Calm down. I only wanted to talk with you. Why do you always have to think the worse of me?"
Courtney raised an eyebrow and clicked her tongue. "C'mon Heather, we have played this game 4 times already. And you ALWAYS have ulterior motives."
"I will not deny it. And every time I lose. Even the time I won, I end losing. So I was thinking, once we have eliminated Duncan and Al. Why not you, Cody, and I make an alliance to go into the final 3?" said Heather, turning to look at the L.I.T face.
Courtney cringed at the proposal. Heather and she in an alliance. The probability of her getting backstabbed was 99%. But the proposition has its merits. Even if she as not trustworthy and Cody was not dependable, it was better to have some ally to have none. So it was better not to close that option.
"Well, we should focus first on Al. Once I have helped you with your vengeance, we can talk about our 'Alliance.'" Said Courtney, trying to sound as neutral as she could.
Heather looked at her with wide eyes, in an outraged tone. "And what about Duncan? Don't you want to eliminate him as soon as possible?"
Courtney shrugged. "Honestly, no. It was too many years ago. I will not keep a grudge for 2 years." That was a white lie. She really had a grudge, but after talking with him that night, a small, tiny, microscopic part of her decided to give him the benefit of the doubt.
Heather stood up, throwing her arms to the air. "I can believe it! After he used you, cheat on you with your friend and lie you to your face saying that he loved you. You forgive him? Just as that? Only because it was 2 years ago?"
"Heather, resentment only hurts you. Also, maybe he changed while in prison," Courtney said, shocked by Heather's reaction.
"I can't believe it. Keep thinking like that, and Duncan will trick you again. Just wait. People DON'T change," shouted the Queen Bee while storming out from there.
Courtney sighed a third time. "You are wrong. Some people can change. The question is if he is one of them or not." Courtney then put her head on her knees. Because if people couldn't change, all her hard work would be in vain.
Confessional: Heather
Heather is playing with her braid while on the confessional. "I can't believe that Courtney softened during this year. I hope that at least she is motivated to go for the money. If not, I may need another ally."
It was almost dusk, and Sammy was still training. Shawn came back and ate with her and Sky, and then he went back into the woods to look for something. Sky also left her without saying where she was going. Maybe everyone was looking for one of those immunity idols? No, Shawn and Sky were not the types of spending time in something like that.
"Wow, Sammy! Looking good," the younger twin looked back and found Jay that was coming from the forest with a flower in his hand.
The younger twin chuckled and smiled. "I am just a beginner, I still had a lot to learn."
Jay tilted his head, he was talking about how she looked on her tracksuit, but it seemed like she thought he was talking about her routine. It didn't matter to him.
Jay gave her the flower, blushing with a big grin on his face. "Here I found it on the forest, a pretty flower for a pretty babe."
"Oh, thank you," said Sammy. She didn't like to be called babe, but he was just trying to be kind.
"You know. We can go for a walk in the woods or on the beach if you want," said Jay, putting his hand behind his head and enjoying the view of Sammy working out.
"Sorry, it's already getting late. And I have to finish my routine," said Sammy lowering her eyebrows, but still doing her jumping jacks.
Jay frowned, but quickly recover his composure. "Oh c'mon, you cannot keep doing that without rest, you also need some fun. Also, walking under the stars can be pretty rad."
Sammy felt pity for him. The younger twin already turned him down multiple times, and she could use some rest. So she decided to accept just this time.
"Ok, let's go. But only for a short walk, ok?" said Sammy taking her towel and cleaning her face.
Jay used all his willpower to stop himself from jumping around like crazy. At last, this was his chance.
"That's so cool, babe! Come this way, near the beach, is this awesome cave I want to show you," said Jay, walking next to her.
Sammy smiled. He seemed so happy, maybe it was the right thing to go with him. Both went ahead without noticing someone else was watching them.
On the way to the cave, they were talking about their hobbies, what they liked, what they hated, and their past relationships, Jay seemed more interested in knowing her than talking about himself. Even then, he talked a lot about skating and how he hated pickles. He also seemed surprised about Sammy never having a boyfriend.
"I can't believe it. I mean, you are so funny and good looking. I was sure you already had a boyfriend or two back home." Said Jay scratching his head.
Sammy chuckled, walking with her hands behind her back. "Is it so weird? I mean, I have many friends interested, and one or two crushes. But nothing serious. All boys that show interest just stopped being my friends or were more interested in Amy."
"They should be stupid, you are a first-place award." Said Jay winking.
Sammy pouted. "You should refrain from using that kind of jokes. They are offensive."
Jay chuckled. "C'mon, don't be such a prude. I only meant that you are smart and hot." Sammy glared at him, he then rubbed his neck. "Ok, I'm sorry, I will be more careful."
Sammy smiled while Jay licked his piercing, they were near the cave, so he only has to endure some more of her unending blather.
But Sammy thought he was honest, and she was enjoying the conversation. Almost as much as she enjoyed talking with Topher in the woods.
Why do you think about him, Sammy? He betrayed you, he was in cahoots with Amy and also eliminated Jass. Yes, he seemed to be like you, but it was only a lie. Thought Sammy, she sometimes thought about the host wannabe, but never dared to confront him.
"Wow, such a serious face, babe, are you ok?" asked Jay, trying to improve the mood.
Sammy shook her head, just a few steps forward was the cave. "Yes, sorry, I get distracted."
"No problem, dude, having you near me is enough," said Jay smirking while looking at the cave with anticipation.
Then Sammy had an idea, "By the way, Jay, you are good at skating. When you started, what was your goal?"
Jay was taken by surprise by the question, "goal?"
Sammy looked at him, intrigued. "Yes, why did you want to improve? What was your motivation? It was only because you enjoy it?" Maybe hearing other people's goals could help her found one for herself that was not her sister.
"I don't know. Impress the gals, I guess?" Said Jay shrugging.
The younger twin made a half-smile, disappointed by his answer. "Impress girls? Just that?"
"Hey! Impress girls, it's more important for the guys than you think. Especially a pretty babe like you." said Jay winking.
Sammy sighed. "Maybe you are right." They were already in front of the cave. It was impressive, but not as much as she hoped.
"Let's go inside. It's much better." Jay let her went inside first. It was already dark, the night sky adorned by the crescent moon.
Inside the cave, the walls were shining with fluorescent spots in a soft green light, like some kind of alien spacescape. Sammy was delighted by the view.
"Wow, Jay. It's wonderful. How did you found it?" said Sammy looking closely at the lights.
Jay licked his lips, "It was just a coincidence, I was looking for a place to rest outside the cabin and found it by chance." He then walked closer to her.
Sammy was in awe with the lights and didn't notice him approaching. "It's like some kind of fungi. Hehe! It's so weird."
Jay took her by the shoulder and pushed her lightly against the rock wall, smirking. Sammy was taken by surprise. He was so close that she can felt his breathing.
"I found you much pretty than the cave, babe," Jay said, his face getting closer to Sammy. The younger twin knew in her head that she has to do something, but her body just didn't react. He was about to kiss her.
"Sorry! Am I interrupting something?" the voice at the cave entrance distracted Jay and let Sammy took control of the situation, pushing the skater away.
The skater glared at the entrance, and there was Amy, smiling smugly. That bitch! She dared to ruin our kiss, thought the skater.
But for Sammy was a mix of feelings, she hated her sister, but this time she couldn't but felt relieved that someone interrupted them.
"Of course not. What would you be interrupting, right, Jay?" said Sammy nonchalantly. "He was just showing me this wonderful cave."
Amy sighed, raising an eyebrow. "Yes, yes, it's wonderful." She then glared at Jay, her blue eyes sparkling with the green hues of the cave. "Well. Lilly is waiting for me. See you at the cabin, Samey."
Sammy went out of the cave. She watched Amy walking on the beach next to Lilly, the treehugger carrying a bucket. She thought to go with them, but Amy would make fun of her, so she returned to the cabins on her own.
The younger twin didn't want to spend time alone with Jay. He is funny and is not ugly. But trying to kiss her out of the blue creeped her out. What if Amy didn't appear? She needed to think about it.
Jay just stood there, fuming. All his hard work was ruined by that ugly heinous evil twin. It was, at last, his chance to get his sweet girlfriend and spend the next days making out with her until one was eliminated. He will not forgive her.
Confessional: Jay
The skater threw his toque to the ground, glaring at the camera. "What is her damn problem? Is she jealous of her sister? Ok, dude, it's game on. I will end dating with Sammy and kicking out of the game that witch. Just wait." Jay picked up his toque, cleaning it.
On the dock, Zoey was sitting looking at the starts. She felt tired and sad. First, Cameron was eliminated, then Dawn. Mike was on the other team, and the image of the twin rubbing against her boyfriend still tormented her. And even when he assured that there was nothing to be worried, she couldn't let it go.
Then someone pushed her from the dock. Zoey winced and prepare to fall in the cold water. But it was only a scare, she turned around frowning.
"What is your problem?" shouted Zoey, her voice a mix of fear and anger. She covered her mouth as soon as she realized she was screaming. To her surprise, the person who pushed her was Duncan.
The delinquent smirked. "Sorry, Red. You were so serious that I just have to do it."
"Why you should act like that. When actually you are such a nice fellow," said Zoey pouting.
Duncan sat beside her, chuckling. "I'm not a nice fellow nor a bad boy, Red. I am just me," after saying that, he winked.
Zoey made a small smile and laughed. "That didn't make any sense."
The delinquent shrugged. "Whatever. So what happened? You usually are the type that smiles all the time. Is not like you to be whimpering her alone."
"I was not whimpering. I was-" Zoey frowned, Duncan started to look at her, narrowing her eyes. She then decided to tell him a little. "Well, maybe I was just a tad sad, after all that happened."
Duncan took out a cigar and light it. "It's true, you and the midget were friends. But you cannot let it get you. After all, now you have to win for her."
Zoey looked at him and smiled. "You are right, but it was so unfair." She then took the cigar from Duncan's mouth and threw it into the water.
He tried to catch it but failed. He then gave her a death glare. "What's your problem? It was one of my last cigars."
"Don't you know is bad for your health? You are welcome." Zoey said, raising her face proudly.
The delinquent rolled his eyes. "It's my own damn problem. Jeez! I forgot how goody-goody you were."
"Is being a goody-goody a bad thing? Do boys really prefer bad girls?" she said. Zoey then hugged her legs and sigh sadly.
Duncan raised an eyebrow. "How should I know? I know what kind of woman I like." After saying that, he made a gesture of a voluptuous woman with his hands. "But that is just me. I cannot talk for all men."
Zoey punched Duncan on the arm as strong as she could, trying to not smile. "Don't be silly. I was serious."
"Ouch! I was just kidding, Red, calm down. Mike still loves you, so stop worrying about that," said Duncan with a pained expression, rubbing in the spot where she hit him.
The Indie girl looked at him with a shocked expression, then buried her face on her knees. "I-I don't know what you are talking about. This is not about Mike."
"Sorry, Red, but you are too simple-minded and honest. It is about your goofy boyfriend," replied Duncan, leaning on the dock and resting his head on his hands.
"HE IS NOT GOOFY!" shouted Zoey, then added. "He is only a little klutz and easily distracted."
Duncan chuckled. "I didn't mean it as an insult. But if you have problems with him, don't bottle it. Tell him clear and straight what is happening. That if you want to keep him by your side." The delinquent then looked at the stars. The same stars that were up there all those summers.
Zoey looked at him, shocked. "Duncan, that was deep and thoughtful. Are you feeling, ok?" she then laughed.
"Hey! I can be deep and thoughtful sometimes. Like one or two times per week or something," answered the delinquent smirking.
"Sorry it was payback for calling me simple-minded," said Zoey smiling. "Thanks, Duncan, I will think about it."
"By the way, Red. I have a proposal for you," replied Duncan, seating again to look at her eyes. " You and I are good friends and everything, no?. Let's form an Alliance."
Confessional: Duncan
Duncan is smoking a cigar, smirking at the camera. "If this works out, I will be as good as in the merge already. Al is on his last leg, Lightning left him, and Brick is also alone. And Courtney would never be on an alliance with Heather. So I should keep a low profile." Then he blew the smoke from his nose. "But stupid Zoey, I only have 14 more cigars."
Brick was sleeping, holding a small solar-powered night lamp he used to sleep. He opened his eyes 2 minutes before his alarm go off, sat on his bed, and stretched.
Then a louder alarm began to sound, Brick fell from his bed and rolled under it as the others began to awake and scream.
Duncan raised quickly, hitting his head against the upper bed so hard that he left a mark on the bottom of it.
Lightning opened his eyes, scared. "Yes, coach Lightning, I hear everything you say. Yes, I was not sleeping."
"What is happening?" Shouted Cody falling from his bed. But after a moment, he noticed Lightning falling over him form one of the upper beds.
"Ufff!" both men said after crashing.
Alejandro tried to cover hiding on his sleeping bag but to no avail.
After a moment, the alarm noise stopped, and they heard the voice of Chris Mclean, in his usual happy, almost mocking tone. "Good Morning, campers. It's challenge time! Come out of the cabins so we can begin."
Alejandro jumped from his bed, just when Brick rolled from under his, tripping him, the Spaniard falling to the ground.
"I'm sorry, are you ok," said Brick offering a hand to Alejandro.
The Spaniard glared at him, but quickly regain his composure and smiled. "Of course, anyone can have an accident."
"Yes, and Chris is about to suffer one himself," said Duncan putting on his pants, frowning.
Outside the rest of the foxes and the ferrets were already waiting, most of them had tired expression. And even some like Dramaman were still on their pajamas.
Heather glared at the host, with her hair straight over her shoulder. "Do you really have to do it now? It's still dark!"
"Don't be Lazy. Because this challenge starts as soon as the sun rises and ends at sunset." Chris said, raising both eyebrows.
"Are you waiting for us to press start or you will tell us about the challenge?" said Charlotte, who also had her dreadlocks down.
Chris shook his head. "You should learn to be patient. Anyway, this challenge is simple. We had freed 10 foxes and 10 ferrets on the island. You have to go. Found them and bring them to these cages. Foxes hunt Ferrets, and Ferrets hunt foxes."
Lilly looked at Chris, horrified, and said in a low voice, "That's is terrible."
Chris chuckled and cupped his ear with his hand. "What you say? I cannot hear you."
"She said that you are a monster, you ugly old man," said Amy in a loud voice.
"What did you say? I will remember that Samey!" shouted Chris, glaring at the twin.
Sammy looked at him with wide eyes. "But I didn't say anything! It was Amy who said it!"
The older twin rolled her eyes. "Of course, always blame Amy."
"Enough you both! Let me continue." Chris said in a loud voice. "You have to bring the animals ALIVE and unharmed to count. Death foxes and death ferrets don't give any points. They need to be on the cage, so if it is almost sunset, run to the cage. Bringing the wrong animal and putting it in the cage gives the other team a point, so don't do that, it's stupid."
Beth raised her hand, "And what if we end with the same number of ferrets and foxes in the cages?"
Courtney frowned. She also wanted to ask that.
"If both teams bring the same number of ferrets and foxes. Then the foxes are the winners." Chris said, smiling sadistically.
"WHAT? THAT IS NOT FAIR!" shouted Sky, startling most of the presents.
"Of course, it is fair. I mean they are the favorites," Chris said, laughing. Just at that moment, the first sun rays began to fall over the island.
Chris covered his eyes from the light and smiled. "It's sunrise. The challenge starts now. So happy hunting."
Author Notes:
[1] No mi amigo = No my friend
And the challenge started, with all the island as their stage, how will the teams start the challenge? Can the foxes without Dawn do this? Or will the ferrets take the advantage? And what will happen between Sammy and Jay? Find out in the next chapter of Total Drama Tyranny of the masses.
This episode let me show some of the situations right now are happening in the story. As you notice, there are some things that you, dear readers, know, but the characters do not, like the 'alliance' between Courtney, Heather, and Cody. Also, Jay, at last, shows his hand and will try to eliminate Amy. I hope you are enjoying the developments.
