Chapter 18: Merry Christmas
(Narrator POV)
Edgar woke up and heard people out in the kitchen but surprisingly no children. He turned and looked at the clock behind him and it said 8:14. Then he looked back at Olivia. He remembered his special gift and placed his hand on her stomach there's no way she could be showing yet, but his hand told him different. He thought back to thanksgiving when they met. They did get a little steamy and did it. So she could have a little bump and his hand found it. He kissed her back then her shoulders and made his way up to the back of her ear. Olivia woke you and turned to kissed him. "Good morning."
"Good morning to you and..." he slid down to her stomach. "And to you." He kissed her stomach.
"You are so excited about the baby!"
"Yes I am! I already love the baby so much. The best Christmas present, I've gotten in a long time." He slid back behind her and put his hand back on her stomach over the blanket this time. "I hear my family cooking breakfast do you wanna get up or go back to sleep?"
"Let's go back to sleep I had a rough night. I never knew how much throwing up can tiresomeone out."
"Okay." The both eventually fell asleep. About an hour and a half later morgan walked to Edgar's room to wake them for breakfast she opened the door and saw the couple sleeping peacefully and walked back out. She sent all of the kids to wake them up. They came in running and screaming you couldn't really make out what they were saying but it definitely woke Edgar and Olivia up. "We're up, we're up. Merry Christmas mad guys but can you guys give us a second to get dressed." Edgar said while Olivia was falling back asleep. All the kids ran out and told them that Edgar and Olivia were up. Back in the room Edgar sat up and grabbed his Christmas apparel while Olivia accidentally fell back asleep. After he got done getting dressed he hopped to Liv's side of the bed and sat down. "Olivia it's time to get up." He said in a calm-quiet tone. She groaned.
"Okay." She got up and grabbed her matching Christmas Pjs that Noah has.
"Other than the one hundred times we got up last night how did you sleep?"
"I slept alright. I'm sorry I kept waking you up. I tried to be as quiet as possible." She got done getting dressed and she stood between his legs as he sat on the edge of the bed. He placed his hands on her hips.
"Hey it's okay because all of this is coming from our beautiful baby and I want to be here for all of it." He stood up putting all of his weight on his good foot and kissed. "Come on let's go eat."
"I didn't think I will be able to keep anything down." She said while handing him his crutches. The walked out of the door into the kitchen. "Good morning guys. How long were you guys up last night?" Morgan asked.
"We went to sleep around midnight but we woke up in the middle of the night." Olivia said.
"Couldn't sleep?" Olivia didn't know how to answer the question. She didn't exactly want to tell his family just yet that she is pregnant.
"You could say that." Edgar interjected.
"Well breakfast is ready!" All of a sudden all three kids ran in the kitchen.
"We heard there was food!" They all screamed. The adults laughed and said yes the food is ready. Olivia looked a little off to Edgar but he left it alone he would ask later. Edgar filled up two plates of food while Olivia barely got anything. She got a two pieces of toast with orange juice. "You sure you don't want anything else?" Dianne asked.
"Yea I'm not that hungry and my stomach isn't feeling well."
"Okay well is there anything in particular that you want to eat? I can make it for you."
"Oh is fine I promise I think this will do."
"Alright if you say so." They sat down at the table and started eating their breakfast. The guys were talking about sports and the kids were of course talking about the presents. Morgan,Dianne and Olivia were talking then asked Olivia, "What do you and Noah usually do on Christmas?"
"We usually eat breakfast, open presents, then we go to the store and buy some games and snacks maybe even a Christmas movie, then we go over to Fin's dinner with his family."
"Oh well I think we might go to the store later and get some games so that it you guys feel comfortable. And also enjoy your Christmas."
"You guys don't have to. I mean either way I will enjoy my Christmas." She turned and smiled at Edgar then place a hand on her stomach and she felt what Edgar felt earlier... the baby bump. "Excuse me for a second... Edgar honey can I talk to you for a second?" She said as she was walking toward the master bedroom.
"Yeah sure." Not exactly knowing what this was about hoping he wasn't in trouble. He crutches over to the room. And Morgan whispered to Kevin and said "I wonder what this could be about..." he shrugged his shoulders.
In Edgar's room, Edgar made it him and as son as he walked in Olivia's eyes lit up. "What is it?" He asked excitedly.
"Give me your hand." She took his hand and placed it on where her hand once was. And it was on top of the baby bump.
"I know it's awesome right!"
"That was so not the reaction I hoping for. I thought you'd be more excited." She stuck her bottom lip out.
"You know why I said what I said? Because I felt it already but I'm trying to be calm because it's taking everything in me not to scream 'Olivia is pregnant! We're having a baby!' But there is always a time and a place for things and I don't think right now is the time."
"I feel the same. But how would I be showing now?" She thought for a second. "Unless this is from the actual first time... thanksgiving."
"Well I loved you then and I still love you now and the baby is loved and that's all that matters to me." They kissed. "Now let's get back out here but first you okay? Your stomach feeling okay?"
"Yeah I'm good the toast is helping."
"Okay let's go." They walked out and Ulrich asked "Is everything alright?"
"Yup everything is great." Olivia answered.
"Well we're about to start opening presents. Because lord knows it is going to take forever by the looks of the tree." Olivia turned and she didn't even realize that half of the tree was covered and then some more were stacked up on the sides. Everyone got up and shuffled over to the living room. Edgar grabbed his plate and asked Olivia if she could bring it over to the couch. Of course she did. Everyone took the same spots on the couch as yesterday, except for the kids they sat on the floor. Edgar stopped eating his food and said "what are you guys waiting for? Everyone grab your stocking!" There was a rush of movement Olivia grabbed her and Edgar's stocking and they all started pulling out their small items.
Then it was on to the presents first everyone picks one present and they open it individually while everyone watched. First it was Sasha. "Oh my gosh!!!! Shopkins!" Everyone laughed.
"Who's it from princess?" Kevin asked. Sasha shuffled around the wrapping paper trying to find the name.
"Um it's from... Olivia?" Her eyes got wide. Then she stood up and ran up to Olivia and gave her a big hug. "Thank you!"
"You're welcome, sweetheart." Sasha took her new spot between Olivia and Edgar Morgan whispered to Olivia "you didn't have to buy her anything."
"I know but I had some more money left over from Noah's gifts and he already had a million so it was no big deal."
"Thank you." Olivia nodded her head toward Morgan in a sign of saying no problem.
"Okay my turn!" AJ said. He ripped his gift open and he had no words. He just look up at his family with tears in his eyes. He had gotten the gift he asked for. He got up and hugged his parents. "Thank you."
"You're welcome but what is it?"
"I'm got Madden 20 and 2k20 for my PS3."
"I think you are thanking the wrong person."
"AJ open the box behind you?" Sasha said.
He picked up the box and there was a PS4. He looked back at the game discs and it said PS4 which he totally missed. "Thank you..." Sasha got up and whispered in her brother's ear who it was from. "Uncle E and Olivia!"
"Thank you guys! How did you guys know?"
Edgar shrugged because he had nothing to do with the gift. He looked at Olivia. "We had a little help from someone..." Olivia tickled Sasha "Okay okay it was me!" She laughed. After all the laughter from everyone died down it was Noah's turn to open his gift. "Monopoly: Fortnite Edition! AJ we are so playing this together!"
"After we get done opening presents."
"Thank you mom!"
"You're welcome Noah!" They decided to let the children open their gifts and then the adults would while the kids clean up their trash and played games while watching the adults open their gifts. Olivia got up and grabbed her and Edgar's gifts from under the tree, then Kevin got his and his wife's, and Dianne grabbed her and her husband's. Dianne and Ulrich opened theirs first because they only had three: 200 gift card for each of them. Ulrich got Dianne a new ring. It was blinging it was probably one of the most beautiful rings Olivia had seen. She hoped one day she had one. "Wow gramma that's really big!"
"I know Papa did good didn't he!" She said to Sasha.
"Thank you honey!" She kissed Ulrich.
Then it was on to Kevin and Morgan. There was a gift from Sasha of a finger painting from art class for Kevin. "I love it princess."
"Thank you daddy!"
Morgan got a snowman made of a rice in a sock but it was so cute that was from AJ. "This is going on my desk at work. Thank you AJ!"
"No problem mom!"
Then there were gift cards from Morgan's parents and from Edgar and Olivia.
Now for Edgar and Olivia. This was pretty unusual for them because they usually spent Christmas alone or with one other person; Noah, so they never got much but there a pretty good amount for each of them. The first gift Edgar open was from Noah. It was a Lakers blanket. "How did you know they were my favorite team?"
"AJ and I may have snuck into your man cave a few times. I had to find a gift quick and this was the first thing I thought of."
"Thanks bud!"
He opened the rest of his gifts. Just gift cards and clothes from his family. But Olivia got him the new 2019 Air Jordan 11 "Breds" and the 2019 Air Jordan 4 'Winterized'. "These just came out how did you already get them? I usually have to wait weeks after they release to get them."
"I know a guy. I even like the red and black shoes I got some for myself and Noah. But I tell you they are a pretty penny. But that's what you get when you are with a shoe fanatic. I never knew one person could have so many shoes!" They chuckled.
"I'm not a shoe fanatic I just like shoes. But I only get to wear one for right now which sucks but at least I got them." He smiled at her.
"Hey Olivia you think you could hook me up with your guy? You know I could use some new kicks..." Kevin joked.
"His information is confidential." She laughed. "It was Fin." She whispered to Edgar. He busted out laughing.
Now it was on to Olivia. She had never had a Christmas like this. And it was a good change she liked have family over and enjoying the holiday with them. First gift she opened was from the kids. It was a weighted blanket. "Noah must have told you guys how much I wanted one! Thank you guys! Come here!" She hugged all of them in a group hug.
The next gift was from the whole family it was a Christmas card that said 'Merry Christmas Olivia and Noah. Getting to know you guys is such a blessing. You guys bring so much light and joy to our family. Which is why we all want to say that until you are officially apart of this family. You guys will always be family at heart. We love you guys so much and thank you for being in our lives!' By the end Olivia had silent tears falling. It was signed by everyone except Edgar. He had nothing to do with this at all.

'Merry Christmas Olivia and Noah. You guys are awesome.' -AJ
'Welcome to the fam sis, and Noah. Merry Christmas!!'- Morgan
'Merry Christmas guys!'- Kevin
'Merry Christmas! We love you guys so much. And we want more grandchildren... No hurry though. Forever in our hearts- Dianne and Ulrich.' She showed Edgar last part and laughed. "Should we tell them?"
"It's all up to you. I'm ready when you are."
"Tell us what?" Dianne asked.
"Umm well before you guys get upset. We didn't mean for this to happen but we're not mad that it did but-" Edgar explained just to be cut off by his mother.
"Oh my gosh! You're pregnant! I knew it!" She ran up an hugged Olivia.
"Wait so you're not mad?" Olivia asked. After Dianne pulled back.
"Are you kidding this is amazing! I'm so happy for you guys. You guys did skip a few steps. But I don't care. But you know this means you have to marry my son." She joked on the second part.
"Trust me. I was gonna do that regardless. Baby or no baby." Olivia said back.
"Are you sure you are pregnant? Have you been to the doctor? Are you showing?" Dianne kept going giving no one else time to say anything.
"Hold on I'll show you. Give me five minutes." Olivia got up and went to Edgar's room and looked for the box she gave to Edgar. While she was gone everyone congratulated Edgar and Noah was in disbelief. "Is she really pregnant? I'm gonna be a big brother?" He got emotional. That's when Olivia walked out. "I've always want to be a big brother!" Hugged his mother. His head laid on her stomach and he could believe what he felt. "There's really a baby in there? You have a bump!" Everyone gasped. They were so happy for the couple.
"Yes honey there is a baby in there." She hugged him back. They went back to the couch and she gave Dianne the box. There were five positive pregnancy tests. "Wow! Congratulations Olivia! And you too son!Ulrich said wholeheartedly. This turned out to be a complete 180 of what they thought was gonna happen. They thought at least one person would be upset. But everyone was happy for Edgar and Olivia. And the couple couldn't be more overjoyed.
After 10 minutes of shock and awe Olivia still had two more gifts to open. It was for both her and Edgar. It was from Dianne, Ulrich, Kevin, and Morgan. They opened the box and it was a photo album of their fist month together. They had pictures for selfies to pictures from the first date and pictures from thanksgiving to Christmas. Her and Edgar kept pointing out the small details of the photo album. "Thank you guys! This is beautiful."
"You're welcome. And you can add a lot more pictures as you guys evolve and progress." Kevin stated.
"Okay it's my last gift. I'm sorry I'm taking so long."
"Ya know let's wait for that one it a surprise."
"I think it already is a surprise. It's a Christmas gift, it's wrapped and underneath the tree. I don't know how much more surprise you can get." She started opening it and Edgar took the box from her.
"Give it here! I'm not playing! It's my gift!" She tried reaching for it. "Fine I won't open it. But I'm opening it before the day is over."
"I know you will I just don't want you to open it now."
"Okay fine!" Olivia anxiously waited for the surprise but little did she know. The it was be the surprise of her life.
A/N: there with be a part 2 of Christmas but it was running on too long and I personally don't like scrolling for ever on a story but if you guys prefer that let me know and I'll make longer chapters. My last chapter was really long and I hope that scrolling made it boring. But I'll be updating that within the next day or two it's partially written already.
