More than quite famous Part 3
The 7th Total Drama Talent show had started. Each team will compete with 5 acts in this blast from the past challenge. The acts are judged by our professional team, and their score is added each round. The team with the highest score at the end wins.
Plain and boring Mike has already performed. His act was a monologue about summer camps. It was hilarious, getting him 23 points. Can the foxes do better? Or they will be sending someone home? Find next on the exciting conclusion of the Total Drama Talent show 7th edition.
Erh, sorry, I mean here on Total Drama Tyranny of the masses.
Courtney was looking as Duncan walked to the middle of the stage. She knew he was great at carving wood. That creepy skull he gave her as her first gift was carefully done, and in its own way it was beautiful. But he spent a week doing it. There is no way he could do something like that for a talent show.
But why does she care? It's true that she and Duncan were on better terms, and she was grateful because he helped her early. But she still doesn't trust him, does she? The Latin girl kept looking at the punk as he stood under the spotlight.
The delinquent took a block of wood, threw it into the air and caught it. Then pull out his knife and twirled it on his hand. "I'll do some speed carving on the stage."
"Speed carving? Is that a thing?" Chris asked Chef, who shrugged. The host then faced Duncan again. "You have 5 to 7 minutes to perform, you know?"
Duncan rolled his eyes, twirling the knife more quickly. "Of course, I know, that's why it's called speed carving. So let's get started."
Duncan began to carve and shape the wood block, at first with great precision, but increasing the speed as he worked. Each time the cuts were closer to his fingers, making the audience wince and cringe with each speedy slash.
Chris clenched his teeth with an anxious expression. "Easy man, try to not cut yourself, will you? We're on schedule, and I don't want to mope the stage."
Zoey covered her eyes while Courtney looked at him with cold eyes. Even Heather was wincing every now and then.
"That brute, such a classless performance it's just like him," said Heather, narrowing her eyes.
But the Latin girl didn't seem to hear her, looking intently at Duncan.
After 3 or 4 anguishing minutes, it happened. "OUCH, FUCK!" shouted Duncan holding his hand with a pained expression, while the public gasped, screamed and covered their eyes. All except Courtney.
Then he straightened up, smirking. "I was joking. Here it's ready."
Chris looked at him, raising an eyebrow. "Really? can you show it to us?"
"Of course, try to not get a splinter in your fingers." Said Duncan throwing the wooden figure to the host.
Chef caught it instead of Chris. The big man looked at it, raising both eyebrows and opening his mouth a little. "That little bastard, I can't believe he did this in 5 minutes."
"Let me see," said Chris. When he looked at it, he covered his mouth, moved and about to cry. "It's beautiful."
The host raised the wooden statue that looked like an immunity idol, with the face of Chris smiling. It was not exactly like it, but it was really well done. "It's wonderful, such a great creation. Judges, please let's give our scores."
Chris gave the act a 10, Chef a 6, and DAM a 9.
"SIX? Are you blind? This was wonderful, and he made it under 5 minutes," Chris scolded his fellow judge.
"So? I hate the guts of that punk, so six it is," said Chef folding his arms.
"I love you too, Chef," replied Duncan in a snarky tone. "And Chris, if you like it so much, it's yours." He added. The delinquent didn't want it back anyway.
"Really? That's why you're one of the audience favorites, Duncan," said Chris drying a tear from his eye. "Now, let's call on the next ferret. Our petite Olympian, Sky."
As the delinquent went down the stage, Courtney was waiting for him.
"Hello Princess, were you worried for me?" said Duncan smirking.
The L.I.T (Lawyer in Training) shook her head and looked back at him, narrowing her eyes. "Don't call me princess. And tell me, how did you do that?"
"Carving? I have carved for years, or did you forget it?" he replied in a playful tone.
"You know what I'm talking about," she said, putting her hands on her hips. "There is no way you could carve that in 5 minutes. You taught me that."
Duncan walked closer to her and whispered. "My talent was not carving. It was a sleight of hand." And leaving her dumbfounded, he went to sit in the stands.
Confessional: Courtney
The Latin girl was smiling at the camera. "I can't believe he pulled that stunt. That arrogant brute. Sometimes I think he changed and sometimes he seems to be the same. He always finds new ways to surprise me." She then recovered her composure, changing her expression for a colder one. "I really hope he's not using me."
On the stage, Sky was dressed in a purple and white leotard, putting magnesium on her hands. At her side was Sammy helping her before the act.
"Are you nervous?" said the younger twin, massaging the gymnast's shoulders.
"Nope, I'll not perform a serious routine, only something light to impress the judges." Sky lied. She didn't know the meaning of performing lightly.
"Ok, good luck." replied Sammy leaving the backstage as Sky walked into the scenario, that was covered with a cushioned mat.
After walking to the front of the judges, the Cree girl waved at the public, smiling. "I'll perform a gymnastic floor routine."
"An Olympic trainee performing a gymnastic routine? Wow, really original," said Chris in a snarky tone.
Sky scowled at him, and after taking a deep breath began her routine, at the sound of a capella version of the song 'Eye of the Tiger' by Survivor.
As the music started, Sky began to dance on the floor, or at least it seemed like dancing for those who didn't know gymnastics. Moving quickly and rhythmically, she performed cat leaps, hitch kicks, and sissonnes, each movement gracefully and quickly executed. Then she ran from an extreme to another of the mat, making some handsprings and ending with a double tuck.
The public clapped excitedly. Even if Sky didn't want to, she showed that she was really an Olympic trainee. At the end of the song, she tumbled again across the mat, performing a double layout at the end. But as she fell on her feet, she felt a pain in her low back.
But nobody noticed it, the public and the judges clapping. "Wonderful, I'm not sure why you didn't do something like this in the last talent show." Said Chris, nodding satisfied. Now let's see our scores.
Chris gave the act an 8, Chef a 10, and DAM a 10.
Sky glared at them but bowed before leaving the stage.
"I think it's a little cheating to do Olympic level skills at an amateur talent show," said Chris while winking at the camera.
Chef shook his head. "Man, you're sometimes too heartless."
Confessional: Sky
The Olympian is folding her arms, scowling "28 over 30? Really? Are the judges blind? I mean, c'mon, they weren't so hard, but that double layout is an F difficult move. This is exactly why I didn't want to perform gymnastics on this show."
On the backstage was Brick, lowering his eyebrows. He was wearing a red shirt and tanned pants. "Zoey, I trust you. But if something happens, I want you to send this letter to my mom."
"Brick, stop worrying. All will be ok," said Zoey smiling confidently.
"But it never worked on the practices," said Brick, with wide eyes, shuddering.
Zoey shook her head. "Practice is for failing, the important thing is the real deal. Let's go."
Still full of doubts, Brick waited for Chris to announce their act.
"And now for the foxes, Zoey and Brick will perform," Chris stayed silent for a moment and started grinning. "Oh Boy, an Archery demonstration, this will be good. Let's give them a big hand."
The two former Revenge season contestants went into the stage, "Hello, I'm Zoey, and this is Brick. And we'll perform some archery stunts."
The public began to clap, with more than one worried expression among them.
"Hey Mike, your girlfriend knows what she's doing, right?" asked Amy, glaring at the Indie girl.
The thin guy gulped. "I hope so."
Amy blanched as she looked at Mike's worried expression.
The show was good, Brick put some cans at the back of the stage, and Zoey pierced them. Then the cadet threw some plates into the air, and Zoey broke them with arrows.
"I hope for their own good that those plates aren't from MY kitchen," Chef whispered Chris.
"And now for our last trick, like Robin hood, I will shoot an apple on Brick's head, blindfolded," said Zoey raising both arms while the public gasped.
Brick walked to the back of the stage, like an inmate walking the green mile. Once there, he put a blindfold over his eyes and an apple on the top of his head.
The public was looking anxiously. Amy held Mike's hand tightly while Sammy and Topher bit their nails. In the backstage, Shawn and Dramaman looked incredulous at the redhead pulling the string of her bow. Even Chris and Chef winced as she shot.
There was a silence, and then Zoey began to shout. "Yes! Brick, we did it!"
"I-I'm still alive?" stuttered Brick, taking off the blindfold, and looking at the apple on the floor, pierced by the arrow. "You did it, Zoey! You're the best!"
The audience began to clap, and more than one member on both teams relaxed after the act was over.
Chris nodded, looking at Zoey and Brick, narrowing his eyes. "Good performance, only I would prefer that she was the one blindfolded instead of him. Anyway, judges, what are the scores."
Chris gave the act an 8, Chef a 9, and DAM an 8.
The host looked at his phone. "A message from DAM. 'It was William Tell who shot with a CROSSBOW at an apple on his son's head. Study before performing.' Wow our supercomputer likes their facts straight."
Confessional: Brick
Brick is smiling at the camera. "At the practice, I would always run away from the arrow, and Zoey's aim with the blindfold was terrible. That's why we decided that I should use the blindfold instead of her. I'm glad it worked in the end. Especially after Zoey told me not to use my metal helmet."
"There is no way this will work," said Dramaman in a shallow and lifeless tone.
Shawn, dressed in a white tank top, glared at him. "Don't give up, man. We're already here. Let's do our best."
The zombie expert went alone into the stage, the ferrets cheering and the foxes booing him.
"And for our next performance, Shawn and Dramaman will perform an armpit live musical performance. What the heck is that?" said Chris looking with wide eyes at the conspiranoic.
Shawn stared at him with a smug smile, "It's when you mix theater with an armpit serenade, of course." He said as if it was obvious.
"Well then, let's go," said Chris sitting and looking with curiosity at the performers.
The zombie expert took a deep breath and began to perform with his armpit the overture of William Tell. It was repulsive and awesome how he could perform the tune that way.
Just as he started, from the right side of the stage, Dramaman entered the scene, wearing a white cowboy hat and "riding" a big stick horse with a goofy face, covered with a sheet.
The wrestler's movements with the music create the illusion of him really in a horse chase, the masked man leaning forward and backward to create the illusion of speed. While Shawn continued performing more and more into the song until he ended the tune abruptly. At that moment, Dramaman feigned to be thrown off the horse and jumped out of the stage.
Duncan, Mike, Brick, Beth, and even Chris and Chef were laughing a lot at the show, while others like Courtney, who was on backstage, only glare at them.
Chris stood up, laughing and clapping. "That was the most disgusting and amazing act so far. I can't believe how you could do that. And the performance, the Dramaman cowboy action figure will be soon in the stores. But you could put more work on the horse. It looks more like some kind of monster drawn by a four-year child. Ok, judges, your scores."
Chris gave the act a 10, Chef a 7, and DAM a 7.
"Man, did you give the Olympian an 8 and this joke of performance a 10?" said Chef glaring at the host.
Chris shook his head. "Chef, that's why you still work in the kitchen instead of performing comedy."
Confessional: Shawn
"It wasn't too bad. I mean, I can't perform the full piece after practicing too much. So Draman helped me there. The horse is a decoy I made to confuse the zombies and put a sheet over him, turning it into a horse. It's surprising how creative you can be when you're desperate." Said Shawn folding his arms and nodding. He was still wearing the white tank top.
Confessional: Chef
"I have a great sense of humor, and my routines are hilarious. I'm only working as a co-host and cook on this damn show because I want to," Chef said, frowning angrily. "Chris' the one that doesn't know the first thing about comedy."
While Shawn helped Dramaman get off the stage, Cody and Courtney came onto it, the brunette boy holding his keyboard.
"Don't be nervous. You're doing great. Let's kill it," said Cody, making a wide smile at the Latin girl.
"Nervous? I'm never nervous, Cody," said Courtney smiling confidently. "But thanks for worrying."
Cody was confused. Courtney thanked him? But after a moment he smiled and went behind her.
She lied. Of course, she was nervous. Courtney never improvised, and all the idea behind this performance was improvising. Luckily Cody helped, and now it was too late to go back.
"We're Cody and Courtney, and we'll perform a song. I hope you like it," said Courtney looking relaxed at the audience.
"A song? After the last musical number? It's a risky move, but let's see what you got." Said Chris, waving his hand as Chef rolled his eyes.
Courtney smiled at Cody and the brunette guy began to play a catchy rock tune. He was probably the only one on the show who could perform it so skillfully. The song was 'I'm still standing' by Sir Elton John.
But Courtney's voice powerfully complemented the performance. Not only was her voice beautiful, but she sang it as if it was a song made for her.
"Don't you know I'm still standing better than I ever did? Looking like a true survivor, feeling like a little kid. I'm still standing after all this time. Picking up the pieces of my life without you on my mind," she sang, smiling confidently.
After the song ended, even some ferrets started to clap and cheer. Courtney tried to control herself, but she was visibly moved by the performance.
Chris stood up, clapping. "AMAZING, A-MA-ZING. Wow! That was quite the performance. That's what happens when you put a professional musician with a girl with a wonderful voice. You really surprised me there. Judges, let's see those scores."
The three judges gave the performance a 10.
"A perfect score? We have the first perfect score. It's not a surprise. After all, it was quite an awesome performance. But this put the ferrets in a dire pinch. Can they beat this? Let's find out.
Confessional: Duncan
The delinquent shook his head. "When I told her to perform something she wanted, I never thought it would be this song. OUCH! To have memorized it so well, she should have heard it a lot." Duncan rubbed the back of his neck. "It seems I'll need to work a lot more if I want to mend those bridges."
Topher smiled. It was indeed an excellent performance. Maybe his act was not as good? Anyway, it was too late to change it. The host wannabe took a deep breath and went onto the stage, opening his arms and receiving the public's cheer.
"Hello you all, I'm here to make a free performance. I hope you enjoy it," said Topher, winking at the audience.
"Ok Topher, I expect a great show," said Chris tapping his chin with a pen.
Topher cleared his throat, took the microphone, and started. "YO! We are coming at you live from Pahkitew Island, somewhere in western Canada. I'm your host Chris Mclean. Dropping season seven of the hottest reality show on live television, right now. But before, let me arrange my hair."
The public began to chuckle, the voice, the posture, the accent, the mannerisms. It was just as if Topher became a young clone of Chris Mclean, but he ad-libbed some jokes about Chris being vain or mean spirited every now and then.
"And the camper that doesn't receive a marshmallow tonight must return immediately through the dock of shame and board the boat of losers. That means you're out of the contest, and you can't come back EVER. Or at least until I decide it's ok for you to come back. Now I have to go. My stylist is waiting," ended Topher, bowing at the public.
Everyone was almost falling from their seats, laughing. The interns, the ferrets, the foxes, including the meanest contestants like Heather, Duncan, and Amy, were holding their sides. Even Chef was chuckling. Only Chris frowned.
"Yes, yes, it's wonderful. Great imitation, I'm so flattered." Said Chris in an unamused and snarky tone. "But I'm so much more good looking and charming, anyway let's see those scores."
Chris gave him a 7, while Chef and DAM gave him a 10.
Topher did a fist pump and then bowed at the public before going down the stage.
"You are a sad man, Chris McLean, if you can't at least laugh at yourself." Said Chef, sighing.
"Shut up, now next one, from the foxes. It's Beth."
Confessional: Topher
"What can I say? All those hours of practicing to be like Chris come in handy. I'm glad it helped our team. And the fact that Chris didn't like it only means that the imitation was wonderful." Said Topher grooming his hair and showing his best side to the camera.
Beth went onto the stage. It was a shame Alejandro couldn't go with her, as he had to stay with Heather for the final act. The brunette girl was carrying a pair of batons. Instead of her long-sleeved shirt, she was wearing a short-sleeved one.
She took the microphone, smiling widely. "Hello, Iֹ'm Beth. And I'll perform some juggling."
"We already know, so get on with it." Said Chris, still upset about Topher performance.
Beth nodded and set on fire the end of her batons. She then began to twirl them. The batons moved so fast that the flames seemed to be about to extinguish and looked like small yellow lights.
After creating enough momentum, she threw them into the air, but the first one went too high and set the stage's curtains on fire. Beth shouted and ran out of the stage, leaving both batons hit the floor and setting it on fire.
In a moment, Duncan, Shawn, Brick, Charlotte, and Courtney ran onto the stage. Brick, to look for people that could be in trouble or trapped by the flames. Courtney and Charlotte to look for fire extinguishers, and Duncan and Shawn to use mantles to extinguish the fires. In minutes the emergency was under control.
Brick came from the stage with the twins.
"Thanks, but even Samey knew we had to evacuate once the fire started." Said Amy, smiling at the cadet.
Sammy rolled her eyes. "Really? You have to say it like that?"
"I'm just glad you're ok," said Brick smiling at his former teammates. "I know I shouldn't have, but good luck with your performance."
Amy and Sammy both waved at him as he went back to his team. "You heard him Samey, don't fail this time, ok?"
"I said that to you too, Amy, don't fail." Replied Sammy, looking at her sister's eyes.
As the fire was under control, the contestants and the interns went back to their seats. Duncan walking beside Courtney.
"Not bad Princess, that C.I.T. training really pays off," he said, smirking.
"You really like to say such obvious things," said Courtney, smiling. "But you also acted very quickly. Your muskrat boy training shows."
Duncan put his tongue out, showing his piercing. "Nope, the basic courses for arsonists in the Juvie. Because you should know how to extinguish a fire you started."
Courtney looked at him with wide eyes, not sure if she believed him or not. Because it was a joke, right?
Meanwhile, Beth returned to the stage, looking at the floor ashamed while Chris talked.
"Dude, you almost destroyed the stage, not cool. What were you thinking?" said Chris shaking his head. "Anyway, the tumbling and twirling were not that bad, so let's see the score. Judges?"
Chris gave her a 5, Chef gave her 7 and DAM gave her a 10.
"A 10? This thing must be broken," said Chris taking out his mobile. "It says, 'The performance was thrilling and unpredictable. More exciting of all the acts so far.' Maybe our DAM doesn't understand those details as human lives in danger."
"Just like you," said Chef, chuckling.
On backstage, behind the twins, Heather and Alejandro were watching the results.
"It seems we have no other chance than to do that," said Alejandro looking at the Queen Bee. "Unless you prefer to lose this challenge."
Heather tossed her braid. "Don't be ridiculous. We'll win. Just let me change into my dress." She said, going out backstage as Alejandro also went to change.
Confessional: Beth
Beth is looking nervously at the camera, holding both hands together. "I missed again, and big time. I was so nervous with Alejandro teaching me that I learned nothing. Now, if we lose, they'll eliminate me. I never thought I would say this, but I really hope Heather does a great performance."
The Twins were wearing their red cheerleading outfit, with red pom-poms on their hands. They walked to the stage with a wide smile on their faces.
"Ok, Amy and Samey, what will you show us today?" said Chris grinning.
"A cheerleading routine," said both twins at the same time.
Chris was surprised by the reply on stereo. "Ok, Let's see what you have."
The twins began to shake her hips, head, and pom-poms at the rhythm of a remix of Avril Lavigne's 'Girlfriend.' Using the beats to synchronize the movements.
Moving the pom-poms left, up, and right, making spins with the leg bent and the extended, jumping around, making pike jumps, one handstand, the word ferrets with their hands. Every move they did was synchronized as if they were a mirror. And with the song, the difficulty of the moves kept increasing.
In the end, both made a series of 3 back springs, threw their pom-poms into the air, rolled, and caught the other twin pom-poms as they fell. The audience then roared and cheered.
"That was incredible, I knew you were twins, but I never believed you could make such a synchronized routine. I want to assure the audience that there were no mirrors or other special effects to make this performance. Now judges, please your scores." Said Chris clapping and showing a big grin.
Chris gave them a 10, Chef gave an 8 and DAM gave them a 10.
"And Eight? What was the problem this time?" said Chris raising an eyebrow.
"It was not that bad, but I hate the guts of that twin with the mole, so eight is good enough." Said Chef, Huffing.
Chris shook his head. "You're supposed to be impartial. Remember the oath you made when you become a judge."
"Bite me, Chris. You don't pay me enough for this," said the big man folding his arms.
Meanwhile, the twins were leaving the stage.
"We did it! It was better than we expected." Said Sammy in an excited tone, even forgetting she was talking with Amy.
But the older sister didn't say anything, no snarky remarks nor insults, only a small nod.
Confessional: Sammy
The younger twin is humming joyfully in the confessional."I can't believe we could put this routine together. Amy always seemed to be skipping practice and I thought she was only popular, but she really could pull some awesome stunts. I can't believe how she did that triple back spring. I almost failed it."
Confessional: Amy
"I can't believe it! That Samey can perform MY routine, including that triple back spring. That is impossible. I'm the better twin. There is no way she could pull that off. I would not believe it if I didn't see it with my own eyes." Said Amy, biting her thumb.
"The scores are 130 to 102. The foxes need almost a perfect score to pull this out. So it all relies on the last performance from Alejandro and Heather. I hope it's awesome, or they will be sending off another teammate tonight." Said Chris looking at the stage.
"And who will we send home tonight, Alejandro or Heather?" whispered Duncan to Zoey.
The redhead looked worried at the delinquent. "Don't you think they can win this with their number?"
"With a boring ballet piece? Performed by those two? Nope, I don't think we can win with this." Said Duncan, but even if he was being snarky, their chances were low.
Then the former couple went onto the stage. Heather was dressed in an asymmetric red dress that showed only one leg and her hair in a bun. Alejandro used tight black pants with a red shirt that showed his chest, more open than usual.
Heather took the microphone. "For the talent show, we'll perform a piece of rumba."
Chris smiled, nodding. "Ohhh, Rumba? Intriguing, let's see those steps."
The couple started to dance at the rhythm of Andrea Bocelli's 'Besame Mucho.' The Rumba was a slow dance with a powerful visual component. They danced together, moving their hips, and hugging and caressing each other.
During the dance, they made some spins, Alejandro lifting Heather, putting his hand on her thigh, and on other occasions, Heather hooked her leg around his calf before he dips her.
Everyone in the audience was silent. They danced as if they were in their own small and private world. Many of them never watched someone dancing rumba before. And it was warm and sensual to see.
After they ended the dance, it was a full 10 seconds before someone said anything. The audience started to clap, both dancers bowing.
Chris stood up, tugging the collar of his shirt. "That was hot. Maybe too hot for our time slot. Anyway, it was wonderful. I can't believe you hate each other so much and dance like that. Judges your scores?"
The three judges give a 10 to the pair.
The favorite's stand cheered while the fan's stand booed and groaned at the result.
"It's a perfect score! I can't believe it, the foxes win 132 to 130, and the ferrets will have to send someone home tonight. Meet me at the campfire. And thanks to you, our audience, this is the end of Total Drama 7th Talent show. Good Luck and Good night!" said Chris winking at the camera, as Alejandro and Heather went out of the stage.
"Good Night? But we are still 10 minutes before 6:00," said Chef, frowning at the host.
Chris shrugged. "Don't get lost on those insignificant details."
Meanwhile, Alejandro let Heather went ahead alone. No insults or cheering. They just didn't say anything to each other.
Confessional: Alejandro
"We overdid it, we took some dance classes this past year, and let's say it, we are the best. But maybe showing our awesome skills here was not such a great idea. Anyway, we won, so I hope it doesn't cause too many problems." said Alejandro smirking at the camera and shrugging.
In the cave that the Maskwak's used as a home in the past season, Sky, Shawn, and Sammy talked about tonight's elimination.
"Ugh! I can't believe I performed my floor routine, and we lost anyway. My sister will be laughing at me once I come back home." Said Sky, sitting on a rock, resting her head on her knees.
"I think you did a great number. Even if I don't know a lot about gymnastics, it was superb. Don't worry about what Chris said." Told her Sammy, massaging the Cree Girl's shoulders again.
Shawn nodded and leaned against a wall. "Sammy is right. What's done is done. We should focus on who we will eliminate tonight."
"Dramaman, he has to go," said Sky before Sammy or Shawn could say anything.
Shawn scratched his head. "Why? Yes, he's a weirdo, and today's performance was a failure, but he's a nice guy, in his own weird way."
"And he's helping me with my daily routine. He's the only one of us that I can keep the pace with." Said Sammy looking with wide eyes at Sky.
"And don't forget he's one of the few people on the island that take the upcoming Zombie apocalypse seriously," added the conspiranoic, nodding.
"You can say that, but he doesn't trust us. On the balancing stones challenge, he asked me to throw the challenge." Said Sky, looking angry at the floor.
Sammy covered her mouth, shocked."Really? I can't believe he asked you something like that."
"Yes, he said that there was no way I could beat that Lightning and that was better to give up. He didn't believe in me. And look, at the end I could." Said Sky, making a sad smile while throwing a small stone against the cave's wall. Nobody noticed the masked man hearing at the entrance of the cave. He already suspected things would end like this. So he just went away
Sammy and Shawn looked at each other, and then Sammy looked at the ground, her lips pressed firmly.
"He may be right on that one, Sky." Said Shawn looking at the Cree girl, lowering his eyebrows.
The gymnast stood up quickly, scowling at him. "What are you saying? You also didn't believe I could beat him?" She felt a sharp pain again in her lower back as she stood up.
"Sky, he was bigger and stronger than you, even with the advantage, you only won because the bridge gave way," said Sammy looking sadly at her friend.
"You too, Sammy?" asked Sky in a distressed tone. "How can you say that? I'm a gymnast. We're stronger than we seem."
"Even then, you were getting close to your limit. Maybe his advice was not wrong. You could hurt yourself if you continued." Said Shawn, closing his eyes, not wanting to look at Sky's distressed expression.
Sammy nodded, looking at Sky with misty eyes. "It's not that we don't trust you. It's that we care about you."
There was a small silence in the cave. The Cree girl was so focused on winning that she didn't realize that.
"Sorry, Shawn, Sammy. I was so full of myself that I forgot about your feelings. I should apologize later to Dramaman as well." said Sky, her voice lower than usual.
"Don't worry. We're friends, and friends help each other." Said Sammy, proud to have people she could call friends.
"But we're back to the starting point. Who should we vote out tonight? Amy?" said Shawn. He didn't show it, but he was happy that Sky changed her mind. Voting Dramaman would be a problem.
Sky put her hand under her chin. "She has decided to eliminate Sammy, and there is no one else that made a serious blunder during the challenge. I think she's a good option, but we need at least another 2 votes."
"My sister is a good friend of Lilly and Mike, so she had 3 votes. So we still have Charlotte, Topher, and Dramaman." Said Sammy, biting her thumb.
"Wasn't Topher in cahoots with your sister?" asked Shawn, scratching his head.
Sammy shrugged. "That's what Jay said, but in the end, he told me so many lies, so I'm not sure anymore. He also told me that Topher would ask me to vote him off, and he never did it."
"Not that he needed to, that Jay was a creep," said Sky, hitting her palm with her fist. "But maybe asking Charlotte and Dramaman would be better.
"Then, we had a plan. I'll talk with Dramaman. He is my pal, after all." Said Shawn, standing up. "This will be easier than shooting zombies from a mall's roof."
Both girls kept looking at him with confused expressions.
"Or fishing fishes on a barrel." He added shrugging. "Choose your preferred analogy."
Then the three went to talk with the other ferrets. There were only less than 2 hours before1 the campfire ceremony.
Confessional: Dramaman
The wrestler is sitting with his back leaning against the left side of the Confessional. "It seems it's my turn. I hoped to spend more time here, but it's for the best. At least I'll try to go with my dignity intact."
Lilly was looking at Charlotte, hidden in some bushes. The dark-skinned girl had connected Max's contraption again to a mechanical tree, looking obsessively at the makeshift display.
"Yes, at last. I found the path to the votation system. Once I can find a backdoor to access the files, it's game over. I can at last find who voted with Lilly and Amy to eliminate Jasmine." Said Charlotte, too focused on her discovery to notice she was talking to herself.
Lilly was trembling. Max gave her some instructions, and she was still deciding what to do.
He told me to go near a tree like this, inside a hole in the top of the tree I should find a camera. I have to press the red button on the camera. Ugh. That means I have to climb the tree? I'm the worst tree climber in the world. What did I do to deserve this? Thought Lilly, looking worried at the hole in the tree. It was not too high, but for Lilly, it seemed impossible.
But the tree hugger was more worried about bothering Max than to climb the tree. She hated the disappointed expression on her family when she failed at anything, so she swore herself to not fail again. So getting all her courage, she started to (slowly) climb the tree.
The tree bark was rough, and it hurt Lilly's hands and legs. It was a long climb, and she felt that every two steps she made upward, she then went down one. But after a lot of effort, she found the camera and pressed the button.
A soft buzzing sound was the signal the camera was working. Lilly was so happy that she could shout. But again, that would reveal her location to Charlotte, so she refrained from saying anything.
I did it. I can't believe I did it. It must be the show, I'm becoming better at these dangerous challenges. Thought Lilly, even if this was not a dangerous challenge. But then a shiver went down her spine.
Lilly looked down the tree and realized it. I can't get down.
While the redhead drama happened, the e-gamer, unaware of all this, could connect at last at the main computer system and accessed the video files.
At last, here they are, the twelve videos of the second challenge elimination. I can finally find who voted Jasmine out. Thought Charlotte, smiling triumphantly.
She didn't have to watch them all. She skipped Sammy, Jasmine, Shawn, Sky, and herself because they didn't vote for her. There was no use on seeing those of Amy, Lilly, and Max either, as they voted for her. So it must be the vote from Dramaman, Topher, Jay, and Brick.
Even if it took time, Charlotte began to watch them, starting with Jay, he acted angry at Jasmine elimination, but he was also a liar. And after watching the video, she was not surprised.
"That toxic player, he even acted all mighty and offended." She said again to herself.
Then she watched Dramaman's video, he voted for Jay, and Topher, who also voted for Jay. Then she looked with horror. The last video was from Brick. That meant that either Brick was the fifth vote, or someone from Sammy's friends voted for Jasmine. There was only one way to find out.
Filled with anxiety, she pressed play to the video, but as it was starting, the connection stopped.
"What the hell? Why? What happened?" as she protested, she was in a cold sweat. This could mean only one thing.
Without losing any time, Charlotte disconnected the contraption and ran away as quickly as she could. If her gut feeling was right, she needed to get away before the system admin came.
Lilly looked at Charlotte, running away. But that didn't make a difference for the treehugger, that was still trapped on the tree.
"Maybe someone will miss me and come to look for me. … As if," said Lilly under her breath.
And then the most unexpected thing happened, she heard a voice calling her name.
"Lilly, I hope you didn't get lost again, chasing after a stupid squirrel." Shouted Amy, as a blue squirrel flipped the bird at her.
Lilly's face beamed, and she shouted as loud as she could (that it wasn't too loud ), "Amy, I'm up here. And I can't go down."
Amy rolled her eyes. "What are you doing up there?"
"Chasing a squirrel?" said Lilly in a low voice.
"Are you asking me or telling me?" said Amy, rubbing her temple.
"Maybe both," replied the treehugger nervously.
Amy started to pat her feet. "It's almost time for the campfire ceremony, so jump down."
"I can't. If I jump down, I'll die," said Lilly, trembling.
"You can't be serious, are you?" replied Amy raising an eyebrow.
Lilly only replied whimpering.
Amy wished to bang her head against the tree. Was being spineless a sickness or a trait that Samey and Lilly shared? Anyway, it was late, and Amy needed her vote. "Jump, I'll catch you."
Lilly's eyes sparkled. "Are you sure?"
"Do it before I change my mind." Replied the older twin. Maybe she should leave her friend stranded after all.
The redhead closed her eyes and jumped off the tree, falling on Amy as she tried to 'catch' her, knocking her down.
"Thank you a lot," said Lilly hugging Amy, her savior.
Amy pushed her away before standing up. "You're welcome, now let's go. We had to eliminate my sister."
"Are you still eliminating her?" said Lilly in an anguished tone. "But your performance today was beautiful."
Amy smirked. "Yes, that slowpoke had improved a lot before I realized it. That's why we have to eliminate her."
But as they were walking to the campfire, a man was waiting for them. He wanted to make the older twin and the treehugger a proposal.
The 9 members of the ferrets were waiting for the campfire ceremony to start. The atmosphere was heavy. In less than 10 minutes, there were going to be only 8 of them.
Topher looked with a worried expression at Dramaman but didn't say anything. Everything was already said.
And as an ominous shadow over the team, the 8 remaining foxes were watching the ceremony.
"Does that mean tonight is the second swap?" asked Sky, looking at the foxes.
"Great deduction, captain obvious." Said Heather in a snarky tone. The Cree girl looked daggers at her.
Chris chuckled and moved his hand to get the contestants' attention. "Don't be so hasty. Patience is a virtue, or at least that is what the fortune cookie I ate this morning said."
"Can we get on with the elimination? I would prefer to be sleeping than hearing your bad jokes." Said Amy in a snarky tone.
"THEY ARE GOOD JOKES!" said Chris, his eyes wide. "I don't know why I waste my great jokes with such an ungrateful public. Anyway, you know the tune. I have 8 marshmallows on my plate, so one of you'll not receive this sweet treat. This person will have to put the vest of failure and ride the chopper of shame out of the island, to which they can't come back EVER."
All the contestants, ferrets, and foxes rolled their eyes, gaged, or sighed as the host ended his discourse.
"Ok, I get it. Now go and vote." Said Chris waiting for the fan's team to go and vote.
Vote confessional: Lilly
"I think Amy and Sammy can still reconcile, So I will vote for you. Please forgive me." Said Lilly closing her eyes and pressing her pad with a pained expression.
Vote confessional: Mike
"I'm not sure who to vote for. Ugh! Why can't someone be like Scott? A person I can vote without feeling guilty? Well, I hope this is the right choice," said Mike, voting but without too much conviction.
Vote confessional: Shawn
"I'm an idiot. I should have known that Dramaman heard the conversation. I hope he's not eliminated tonight. Here goes my vote," said Shawn pressing the button and sighing.
"And you have voted, but as you know, on this season. Your vote isn't as important as the opinion of the public." Said Chris with a serious expression. "So tonight is the third of the 7 DAM eliminations, and this time is not only for popularity but for cheating. So the ferret expelled from the island is…"

"Charlotte."
"Cheating?" shouted Charlotte, jumping from her stump. "I never cheat. Show me some screenshots or other evidence."
Chris looked at her with a serious expression. "This isn't a democracy, Charlotte. It's Tyranny of the masses. And anyway, we have a video of you trying to access DAM. So you are out."
The e-gamer cursed her luck. She was sure that all the cameras were deactivated. And Lilly covered her mouth, realizing what she had done.
"Then it's game over. Such an irony this happened just after what I did to Max." said the gamer, smiling. "Ok, give me the vest. I have no more continues."
Topher, Lilly, and Amy went to say goodbye. The e-gamer had a bittersweet feeling from the two girls.
"I'm not useful anymore, Amy. You don't need to feign that we're friends." Said Charlotte, glaring at the cheerleader.
Amy shrugged and smirked. "Think what you want, but you were not half bad. It's a shame they kicked you out.
Charlotte then hugged Topher. It was so sudden that the pretty boy was surprised but then blanched as the e-gamer whispered something to him.
"Are you sure?" asked Topher, looking at her with wide eyes.
But there was no answer. The chopper shame picked up her quickly before she could answer Topher's questions.
Chris waved at Charlotte as she seemed to become smaller as the chopper went away. "And, as you already guessed. It's time for the second team switch. Again the most popular ferret will become a fox, and the least popular fox will be demoted to ferret."
"I still think our team is better than theirs." Said Shawn nodding, and narrowing his eyes at Chris.
Chris ignored Shawn and continued. "And from tomorrow on, Beth, you're the new ferret, and Samey, you're the new fox. Say your goodbyes."
"What, that can't be," said Amy, glaring at the host.
Sky nodded behind her. "Yes, Sammy is our friend. You can't take her away."
"Yes, and also, she can't be more popular than me. This has to be some kind of mistake." Said Amy. Shawn and Sky glaring at her.
"No, you can't take Elisabeth from me," said Alejandro in a distressed tone.
But Beth looked at him with a sad smile. "Sorry, Alejandro, but maybe it is for the best."
"But Beth-" said the Spaniard, the girl with glasses putting her finger over his lips.
Duncan kept silent, but this was a wrench into his plans. Now he had to think of a plan B quickly.
"And that's all for this episode. Will Beth triangle survive now that she is on the other team? Can the twins survive now that they are on different teams? And what did Charlotte say to Topher? You may or may not find the answers in the next thrilling episode of Total Drama: Tyranny of the Masses.
Author Notes:
And the challenge is over but there is no rest for the campers. What will happen with Sammy now that she is on the opposite team to her sister and friends? And will the Beth-Alejandro-Duncan triangle survive the distance? Find out in the next chapter.
I loved this chapter. I tried to do the act simultaneously entertaining but not too long, and I hope I achieved it. Eliminating Charlotte was a harsh decision but I hope it is for the best. Someone has to go on every episode.
And yes Aleheather4ever, Rumba and Tango are cousins, so very good instinct ;).
