harmony735: Thanks, I love to write the aftermaths and I'm very happy you enjoyed it.

WhatTheHeck23: I will not lie. The selection of the 2 returnees was one of the hardest in this story. I'll not say anything about Sierra yet, but I'm glad you liked Staci, even if it was just a little.

Tempokeep: Honestly I think Staci is a good character because her joke can be quite useful. Was she telling the truth or lying again?

AleHeather: I'm glad you are liking Cody. We will see more about him in this competition ;)

womanlikemegan: It's time for Cody to show a little more of his skills.

Anonymous: I also loved Rodney's jokes :D I'm glad you like Charlotte and who says that Staci's ancestor is not the Johannes who invented the book?

beanoamy: Definitely the reaction of Heather will be interesting.

And as always, a COLOSSAL shoutout and THANKS to Geofics, who helps me proofread the episodes. I know it's a lot of work, and this is the minimum I can do to thanks him. Thanks a lot.

Life is like a carnival Part 1

Last time on Total Drama, Tyranny of the Masses, we had our 4th Blast from the past challenge. In which a horrible green monster kidnapped our handsome host and the campers had to enter the dangerous caves under Pahkitew island to rescue him. The twist this time was that he also kidnapped a member of each team to motivate them to find me.

There were perils, excitement, confessions, and also an accident that could seriously injure 2 campers but that we CAN'T be liable because it was an accident. Among the confessions, Duncan and Courtney discussed their past, and Dramaman ruined the challenge exposing that Dave, one of the kidnappers, wasn't Dave because he was Dave. Confusing right?

In the end, the Foxes rescued me and won the challenge, and the Ferrets had to send someone home. But as it was a DAM elimination, the one going home was Dramaman/Dave, who without his mask became the least popular camper in Total Drama history. What will happen next? Who will go home and who will stay on the island? And what surprise does this episode have in store? Stay tuned to find out here on Total Drama Tyranny of the Masses.

She woke up with her legs still aching. She fell asleep quite quickly last night. After all the day was very stressful. The contestants wandered under the earth for more than 10 hours and were attacked multiple times. She didn't even wait for the elimination before she went to sleep.

She looked around the room, only one of her teammates was still sleeping in their bunk. She tried to don't make too much noise when she took her clothes and went out of the cabin.

The showers were empty. She made a small smile being grateful for it because she wasn't in the mood to meet anyone else, at least not yet.

As the cold water began to fall over her tan skin, Courtney's thoughts took her to last night. During the challenge, what possessed her to ask Duncan that question? Yes it was something that had tormented her for months and was a thorn on her side since it happened so many years ago. It hurt her now and then as an old wound that never fully heals but the pain intensified after the ogre apologized to her the first night of the show.

The water felt good but it couldn't wash away her thoughts and regrets. She shouldn't have asked that! Heather warned her that he may only be using her to advance in the game. And if that was his plan it worked. After all she didn´t work actively to eliminate him. If the Queen Bee was right, that question was the ultimate humiliation. It was accepting that she cared, that she wanted to understand what happened between them.

But feelings aren't something a person can control and much less in a situation like they had yesterday. After those rocks fell over them and she just saved him in the nick of time all seemed to be insignificant. When they were walking in the darkness it just happened.

She shut off the shower and wrapped herself in a towel, putting her slippers on to don't touch the dirty floor. She looked at her reflection in the mirror and her reflection returned her gaze. The ex-CIT knew better than anyone that the past can't be changed so there was no use now in regretting what she already said.

And she also got her answer. It wasn't what she expected, as usual that neanderthal never failed to surprise her. He didn't try even once to shift the blame to her. Who the hell does he think he was acting all mature like that? Now the question was if he was telling the truth or not.

One more time she looked at her own eyes in her reflection. Courtney wasn't sure who the person in the mirror was, but there she was, and there was no use in being chained to the past. She put on her clothes and left the bathroom still deciding what she should do next.

Confessional: Courtney

"I just wanted to say that everything that happened yesterday in the cave is part of a strategy. And that I still don't trust that delinquent. I came here to win, and that's what I will do. And no Duncans nor Heathers will stop me," said Courtney looking coldly at the camera.

Topher and Mike were cleaning the Ferrets cabin. They barely talked during the morning, both immersed in their own thoughts.

Then the pretty boy noticed how dull the floor looked.

"Mik, did you wash this part?" asked Topher, crouching to watch it closer.

"Yes, of course," replied the spiky-haired guy, "but somehow it's not the same without Draman. He really knew how to clean a floor and the exact quantity of soap to use on the water."

The host wannabe made a sad smile, "It's not Draman, it's Dave. And yes he really knew his business. I can´t believe he was eliminated last night."

"The cabin feels bigger without him," Mike looked sadly at the floor, "Did you know he was a friend from your season?"

Topher ran his hand across his hair, "I'm really ashamed to say this but I never really talked to him last season. We were on different teams and when I was in Yikâwiskâhk I never gave him a chance because he was always depressed and I was obsessed with Chris. I should have tried to at least talk a little to cheer him up."

"But at least you befriended him now. You know what they say, 'it never is too late'" replied the thin man, wriggling the cloth he was using to wash the floor.

"Yes, you're right," the host wannabe sat on his bed, not looking at his friend's eyes. "But it's a shame he was eliminated after revealing his identity. There were a lot of things I wanted to tell him."

"It's sad, but this is how this game is. In the end only one of us can get the money," replied Mike, drying his hand on his pants before patting his friend's shoulder. "I felt the same when Zoey and Cameron were eliminated. Now we have to do our best to win for them."

"It's awesome you have friends like that. I was too full of myself in the last season to make any friends, so besides Dave, I don't really care for any of the eliminated," said Topher sighing sadly.

Mike sat on the floor, raising an eyebrow, "Really? Not even Jasmine or Charlotte?"

"Jasmine and I were never close. In fact, she was really angry after we lost the baby challenge in the Pahkitew season. But Charlotte, you're right she was my friend. It was a shame she was eliminated." Said Topher remembering the weird e-gamer.

Then a sudden realization hit Topher like a hammer. The contraption! That stupid piece of garbage was still on that hollow tree.

But there was no way for him to go and find it. At least without looking suspicious to Mike. So the host wannabe decided to play safe and keep his company a little more.

Lucky for him, the spiky-haired guy didn't realize his inner drama. "And," Mike's expression changed to an impish smile, "how are things going with Sammy? You two were together yesterday when the gophers captured you, weren't you?"

Topher blushed, "What are you saying? We were kidnapped by giant mutant gophers. There was no time for flirting." He then put his hands behind his head, "and also I was really lame. She saved my life twice."

"Don't be so hard on yourself. I'm sure it wasn't so bad. I always thought I was always making a fool of myself in front of Zoey and after watching the episodes on TV it was only like half of the time," said Mike making a wide smile that showed the gap between his teeth.

"Thanks man, but I'm not like you. I don't have any confidence in getting closer to her," replied the host wanna be, lowering his eyebrows.

"WHAT?" The spiky-haired guy stood up like a spring and held Topher by the shoulders. "Toph you're handsome, smart, and funny. If a guy like you doesn't have confidence, what about the rest of us?" he then looked at his eyes, "or you prefer to be like Draman and go out without telling her your feelings."

The pretty boy hadn't thought about it, but Mike was right. Any of them could be eliminated on the next challenge. He needed to make a decision.

"Mik you're right. Thank you. I'll think about it," replied Topher putting a hand over Mike's arm.

Both then continued cleaning the cabin and chatting. As soon as they left Topher returned to the forest to look for Max's contraption.

Confessional: Mike

"I want to support Topher. I know quite well how hard it is to get close to the girl you like. At those moments you need a friend to push you. I had Cameron. So I'll become that friend for Topher. Also Sammy seems like a good girl. After all she's Amy's sister, so all will be fine," said Mike nodding and smiling at the camera.

Confessional: Topher

Topher showed his best angle at the camera and spoke. "I'm grateful for Mik. But I'm afraid of confessing to her and being rejected. I know what he said about me being handsome, but I know Sammy isn't so vain for caring only about good looks. What should I do?"

Brick woke up in the infirmary. It was already noon. He was tired and his memories of last night were fuzzy. He remembered being in the cave and then someone was carrying him.

Then he was brought to the infirmary and there he was talking with someone, or it was a dream? He somehow remembered someone holding his hand but he couldn't remember who or what they were talking about.

"Buenos días mi amigo[1]. How are you feeling?" said Alejandro sitting in a nearby bed.

"Good Morning Alejandro," said Brick saluting but his smile turned into a frown when he saw the Spaniard had a bandage around his head. "And you, are you ok?"

Alejandro chuckled pointing to the bandage, "You're talking about this? Don't worry I was attacked by that robot after he knocked you out. But it's only a scratch."

"Robot?" asked Brick, looking at him with wide eyes. "The enemy attack must have been harder than I thought. I was sure the one that attacked me was Ezekiel."

"It seems that 'Ezekiel' was a robot and all this was an elaborate challenge by our lovely host," said the Spaniard, his voice full of disdain. "So we were pummeled as part of the show."

The cadet rubbed his neck, his head still hurt a little, "That's terrible. But knowing Chris' tactics it's not really a surprise. That man is as ruthless as my drill sergeant but without his honor or discipline."

"Hahaha, you said it amigo. That bastard is ruthless as always. I wonder if he actually enjoys tormenting the competitors," replied Alejandro, showing a charming smile.

"I don't think so. I always thought that Mr. McLean's attitude was part of his role as the show's host. That there was nothing personal," replied the cadet with a thoughtful expression. Then he remembered how the host mocked him for wetting his pants, "But maybe you're right and he's a nasty and evil man."

Alejandro laughed again, "You're a good man Brick. You're really fast to look for the good side of things. I wouldn't even dream of trying to defend that bastardo."

"It's not like that. I just think that everyone deserves a chance," then he looked seriously at Alejandro, "but I'm not naïve nor a fool. And trust is something really fragile "

The Spaniard tilted his head and raised an eyebrow, but before he could reply, someone entered the infirmary, holding 2 bowls.

"So-Sorry I didn't mean to interrupt you, b-but I brought you some food," said Lilly in a low and shy tone.

Brick looked at her and smiled, "Lilly? Oh, thank you! You shouldn't have bothered."

"Yes, señorita, we're not even on the same team," said Alejandro, then his stomach made a loud grumble, "but I guess I can accept your kindness."

Lilly smiled and gave them the bowls with a strange slob-like greenish substance and water bottles.

"Don't bother about the teams. This is to thank you for protecting us from that fake Ezekiel," she said, bowing and sitting in a chair between their beds.

"Us?" asked Brick tilting his head.

The treehugger blushed and covered her mouth shaking her head wildly, "I meant ME, protecting me. This was something I thought alone."

Both shrugged and began to try to eat the slob. Brick dug it with a happy expression while Alejandro struggled a lot between his hunger and his disgust.

"I'm not sure if this can be called food," said Alejandro, looking at his bowl, "Why is it green?"

"Maybe it's made from lime, spinach, lettuce and lots of love," said Lilly, making a big smile.

"I doubt those can take this consistency," replied the Spaniard looking at the glue-like food.

Brick chuckled, "it's not that bad. It's still better than the food they give the new cadets in the academy. They teach you to eat what you can when you can and not to be picky about food." He then ate another spoonful of the substance, "And this definitely doesn't have spinach."

Lilly blushed. It was so weird she was sitting near Alejandro. He was his second favorite competitor in the show. And even if yesterday they were together she really didn't have the chance to talk. But she was too shy to make a conversation with him now.

"You seem in deep thought señorita, are you ok?" asked Alejandro in a tender tone.

"YES!" shouted the redhead, surprised, "sorry, I'm ok. I was just thinking about how awesome you and Mr. McArthur are. First looking at you on TV and now in this season."

The cadet shook his head, "we're nothing special. We're just normal people trying to put their training to test and maybe win some money."

"And we're just like you, Lilly," said Alejandro caressing her hair tenderly. She winced a little and blushed not knowing what to do.

The Spaniard smiled and let go of her hair, "Let me tell you some stories behind the cameras of the World Tour just to show you we're no different from you."

Then he began to tell Lilly and Brick stories of the teams on the plane. Especially about Owen and Tyler. The funny stories and the Spaniard's great storytelling style made the three have a great time.

"I'll let you rest now." Said Lilly, standing up. "Thanks for the stories Mr. Burromuento. I hope you and Mr. McArthur get well soon."

"Thanks for bringing us the food, Lilly. And please call me Brick," said the cadet, saluting.

"And call me Alejandro. See you later, Lilly," said the Spaniard in a sweet tone.

Lilly nodded exaggeratedly and made a big smile. "If you insist, thanks Brick, A-Alejandro. See you later."

And then she went out running of the infirmary, blushing.

Brick laid again on his bed. "My head still hurts a little so I'll take a nap."

"Rest mi amigo," replied Alejandro standing up. "I'll go to the cabin and change clothes. Want me to bring you something?"

"No, I´m fine," replied the cadet, closing his eyes, "see you later."

"Hasta luego," replied Alejandro looking at him and raising an eyebrow before going out of the infirmary.

Brick was still unsure about Alejandro's true intentions but was too tired right now and there would be time later to worry about that.

Meanwhile, Lilly ran toward the ferrets' girl's cabin to meet with someone.

"I brought them the food, as you said. Why didn't you come with me? It was your idea after all?" asked Lilly, closing the door.

"No, it was perfect like this. I'm not the type of doing favors like that," replied Amy making a small smile. "You didn't mention it was my idea, right?"

Lilly shook her head wildly, "Of course not. You ask me to not mention it. Well, maybe I was about but I finally didn't say it," she explained in her soft voice.

Amy blushed, "Thanks Lilly, now sit down. We need to talk about strategy. After all we need to find a way to get Topher voting with us tonight in case we lose."

The treehugger nodded and they kept talking about how to approach the pretty boy. Then the girls went to find Mike because bringing Topher to their side was useless if they didn´t also assure Mike was voting with them.

Confessional: Alejandro

"There is something weird about my friend Brick. He's acting quite distant today. Maybe it was the accident? Or can it be related to Zoey's elimination? Anyway I need to find out soon. Because that's what friends are for," said Alejandro smirking at the camera.

Confessional: Lilly

"I don´t know what Amy is thinking but I'm sure she has her reasons," said Lilly looking sadly at the ground but then smiled. "And also it was like a dream to be with Alejandro. He's so funny. And I would never guess that Owen was a big fan of hockey. It's a shame Cody isn't in the game anymore. I would love to talk with him like this."

Confessional: Amy

The older twin was looking at the camera smiling smugly. "All the food idea was to bring Brick and Alehunk-dro closer to Lilly and me. I need allies, so there are no ulterior motives behind this." She folded her arms and looked away from the camera, "also knowing he's ok is enough for me."

Sky was running across the woods. Since waking up this morning she went away from the cabins and had been exercising. The Cree girl didn't want to meet anyone and just forget about last night's events. All was too confusing for her.

She was hanging from a tree doing crunches when a voice startled her.

"Doing crunches like that is really efficient. You train your legs along with your abdominal muscles. But if you overdo it the blood in your head will make you dizzy and unable to run fast enough in case of a zombie attack," said Shawn, leaning against a tree.

The short athlete fell from the branch but recovered quickly enough to land on her feet.

"SHAWN! Don´t appear suddenly like that! You startled me," shouted Sky narrowing her eyes at him.

The conspiranoic raised an eyebrow, "Suddenly? I have been looking at you for at least 5 minutes. You need to train your perception. If I was a zombie you would be a snack by now."

"Excuse me? What did you say?" replied Sky in an angry tone. She was sure he said snack instead of meal because she was short.

"I said that if I was a zombie you would be dead by now," replied Shawn, oblivious to her anger. "Anyway, I was looking for you."

The Cree girl tilted her head. She wasn't expecting this but it wasn't a surprise either. "Well, you found me. How can I help you?"

"I want to talk about Dave," said the conspiranioc, lowering his eyebrows a little.

Sky chuckled but her expression darkened. "He really made fun of us. Dramaman. He surely enjoyed looking at us distressed and playing as the new guy."

"It wasn't like that," sighed Shawn scratching his head. "You know he didn't mean to fool us."

"NO? Then why didn't he tell us he was Dave? Why did he keep talking with that fake voice? Why…" Sky stopped there. She was already shouting and it wasn't Shawn's fault.

The conspiranoic sighed. It was as he feared. "I talked with him yesterday before going into the underground. His contract didn't let him talk about his real identity while in the show."

"But he could have at least shown in some way that it was him. You know how much we looked for him around the island," replied the Cree girl walking toward Shawn to face him.

"He did," replied Shawn.

"When?" asked Sky, she was so close to Shawn that their faces almost touch

"He was always trying to help us," said Shawn, stepping away from her and counting with his fingers, "He helped Sammy with her training. He tried to make you drop the quarry challenge because he cared about you. Damn it Sky, he gave me an immunity idol. Thanks to that I'm still here."

The Cree girl avoided Shawn's eyes, she wanted to rebuke him but she couldn't find the words.

"Dave told me he didn't want to come back to the show at least not yet, not until he was ready to win. But he was here and he's ok. And that's enough for me," said Shawn smiling. He didn't mention that he punched Dave in the face after the revelation.

"But he could… At least he…" Sky couldn't keep going. So she said what was really on her heart, "I wanted to tell him so many things, Shawn, and I couldn't even say goodbye yesterday."

She began to cry, she tried to not show it but the tears stubbornly ran across her cheeks.

He stepped forward and hugged her, patting her back and comforting her silently.

"Shawn, I was so angry and confused. He was here, I found him, and I just ran away. I have the chance to talk to him and run away instead."

"Don't worry, as long as you want you can talk with him after winning the competition," said Shawn in a lower tone than his usual. "He also asked me to tell you a message. Sorry for everything."

Sky then began to cry louder and kept crying for a long time. All her worries, her anxiety, her anger, she let go of everything. At last she let herself enjoy that they found Dave safe and sound.

The gymnast let go of Shawn and dried her tears. "Thanks for everything Shawn, I'm ok now. Let's give our best and win tomorrow's challenge, and keep winning until the finals. You really help me here."

"Of course Sky. After all you're Jasmine's friend, it's the least I can do," said the conspiranoic giving her thumbs up.

Sky raised an eyebrow, "I'm also your friend, right?"

"Yes, yes. Of course, you're Jasmine's friend and also mine's," replied Shawn scratching his cheek and avoiding her eyes.

The Cree girl scowled at him and then she started to laugh. Shawn also began to laugh with her. It was a while since they could laugh like that, without any worry.

Confessional: Shawn

"I guess that after all that happened, I'm now Sky's friend. I mean she isn't that bad and she could be awesome in the zombie survival team. I just hope she and Dave can resolve their issues. If not the days in the bunker will be awkward," said Shawn rubbing his chin and looking at the confessional's ceiling.

Confessional: Sky

Sky was smiling and looking fiercely at the camera. "Shawn's right. I just have to do my best. At least now we know. Dave if you're watching this prepare yourself because the next time we meet I have a lot of things to tell you," she added, hitting her palm with her fist.

Sammy was walking back to the cabins. After visiting Brick in the infirmary, she looked for Topher, Shawn, or Sky but couldn't find any of them.

It was almost sunset, and the younger twin somehow ended in the docks, and there she saw Duncan. She hesitated but it was her chance to thank him for helping Topher yesterday.

The delinquent was sitting and looking at the horizon. But what drew her attention was his expression. He seemed enthralled by the sunset. He wasn't frowning or smirking but looked at it with a solemn expression. Or maybe sadness?

She decided to wait until the sun was down to walk closer to him, "Hello Duncan, Good Evening."

And as if she broke some kind of spell his face turned into his usual smirk, "Hey Cheerleader! What are you doing around here? Are you thinking of skinny-dipping in the lake?

"What? Of course not!" replied Sammy, blushing and scowling, "Why do you always have to make those crude jokes?"

He shrugged and stood up, "Because I'm a Neanderthal." He put his tongue out, showing his piercing.

"Then stop doing that. You only push people away with that attitude," replied the younger twin putting her hands on her hips.

"I'm just joking, don't be so serious," he replied, smirking and looking into her blue eyes.

Sammy took a deep breath. She decided to ignore it and get to the point. "Anyway, I wanted to thank you for going back to help Topher."

"There's nothing to thank," he replied, his smirk replaced by an actual smile, "I did it because I wanted."

The younger twin blinked a couple of times, "but you risked your life. We didn´t know it was a challenge."

"But all that was because I wanted to do it. I would do it anyway. That's why there is no need for your gratitude." Replied Duncan, but he kept watching at her, not with a mocking smile but with expectation.

Sammy looked fiercely at him clenching her fists, "Even if you did it because you wanted, I'm grateful. And I'm thanking you because that is what I want to do. I don´t care if you want my gratitude or not."

Duncan patted her head, messing a little with her hair, this time smiling, "It seems there is hope for you after all. Whatever, if you say it like then you're welcome."

"Don´t do that, I'm not a child," said Sammy, chuckling, her face beaming after beating the delinquent for once, "I'll say it again, thanks for helping Topher. You're nicer than you look."

"I hear that a lot," replied the delinquent, smirking, "what can I say? It's an old habit."

She looked at him, putting her hands behind her back."But you would be nicer if you tried to be more kind and stop acting like a jerk."

"Hey cheerleader! Did you just call me a jerk?" Duncan said and then began to slow clap, "nice, you can do better than that but you're learning."

Both started laughing. She never expected Duncan to react like that and he believed Sammy was just a spineless follower, but he was wrong. Then someone interrupted the moment.

"Samantha, what're you doing here?" asked Heather in a worried tone, "I was looking for you."

Sammy waved at the Queen Bee. "Hello. Heather. I just finished my training and found Duncan here in the docks."

She walked toward the twin and held her hand, her face was smiling but her eyes were full of contempt for the delinquent.

"I'm sure he's busy, so let's go. We can dine together," said Heather, walking away and pulling Sammy with her.

"Actually I was going to the dining hall right now," said Duncan smirking, "so let's go together."

The Queen Bee made an effort to keep her smile, as she was taught, but it was hard in these circumstances, "shouldn't you go with your friend Alejandro?"

"I prefer to go with you except if I'm getting in your way to make the cheerleader your puppet," said Duncan in a snarky tone, "then I'll go and find someone else."

"How dare you to accuse me of something like that!" shouted Heather, her face red in anger.

Sammy looked at him with wide eyes, "Yes! Heather's a true friend. Even as a joke that was too mean spirited."

"Hahaha, I can't believe you get all worked up by a joke like that," laughed Duncan, "Heather would never do something like that and the cheerleader here would not fall for such a cheap trick."

"We don´t have to tolerate your stupid jokes. Let's go Samantha," said Heather, pulling the younger twin by her arm.

Sammy looked one last time at Duncan before following Heather. The delinquent just waved at her.

"That cheerleader is right. Sometimes I'm just too nice for my own good," said Duncan walking slowly behind them.

Confessional: Heather

Heather was scowling with her arms folded and her legs crossed. "That pathetic and brutish criminal. How dare him to mock me and say those things in front of Samantha! It seems like I'll need to eliminate him sooner than expected. I swear that if he wasn't the reason I have my alliance with Courtney, I would have eliminated him ages ago. "

Confessional: Sammy

"I can't understand why Duncan acts like that all the time. He acts like a jerk and is quite inconsiderate. But he can also do nice things. Is the jerk a façade? Or the nice one is the fake one? Heather will be mad, but I really want to know which Duncan is the real one," said Sammy looking with a puzzled expression at the camera.

Confessional: Duncan

"So that's her game? Now I understand what is happening with the cheerleader. So, should I do something about it? Well, I'm a nice guy, so I'll give it a try and also there is the bonus of messing with Heather, so let's go for it," said Duncan smirking and raising his head smugly.

On the recording studio beneath the island, Chris was looking at the last episode's footage with a puzzled expression on his face. He asked all the interns sans Steve to leave the room.

"No,no,no. We can't include the fight between Dramaman and Dave. We need to find a way to not include it in the episode but explain Dave's defeat," said Chris stomping his foot and scowling at the camera.

"But Mr. McLean, that is some of the best footage from that episode," explained Steve, lowering his eyebrows.

Chris rubbed his temple, "NO! We can't include it. So find a way to make a 26 minutes episode with the rest of the scenes."

"That fight scene will generate some good ratings. Who cares if he revealed his identity or not," said someone entering the room.

Chris and Steve looked at the door. Chef came frowning as usual and with a pair of beers on his hands. He gave one to the host and began to drink the other one.

"Chef! I told you to not come here until episode 12 is finished," said Chris, opening his beer and narrowing his eyes at the big man.

"Hahahaha, at last you started to make some fine comedy, Chris." Said Chef laughing, but he was still frowning. "You can't order me ANYTHING until you pay me all that you owe me."

The handsome host sighed, "Ok, ok, you can stay. Just close the door."

Chef pressed a button, and the door locked automatically. He then gazed at the screen. Steve was editing the scene of Dramaman's elimination.

"What a shame. That clown was my second favorite to win the prize," said Chef taking a sip of his bottle. "Also he wasn't the least popular of his team. Wasn't it too hasty taking care of him with one of the computer's eliminations?"

"Of course not," said Chris in a louder tone, "that kid destroyed prototype #2. That robot had a very advanced AI. For more than 6 months we developed that robot and it was almost a replica of the original. And he just destroyed it."

"Yes, yes. But it was just a toy. Don´t get all worked up like that," said Chef narrowing his eyes, tired of Chris's attitude.

"A toy? That crybaby robot was like a son to me. His decision-making system was as good as that of any human. He was probably more human than the original." Said Chris in a distressed tone, "In fact, I could do the challenge thanks to him and Robo-Zeke's help."

The big man huffed and seated on Chris's sofa. "That's another thing. Why the hell you didn't tell us about the damn challenge. I was sure you were abducted again by that damn freak."

"Chef, you're a terrible actor," said Chris, raising an eyebrow when he saw the big man on his sofa, "If I had told you, they would know it was a challenge since the beginning."

"Sorry!? I'm a great actor!" replied the big man pointing at himself with a thumb, "But was it necessary to also kidnap your fan and the crybaby twin?"

"That helped create the atmosphere and having one of each team would motivate them to work harder," replied Chris, making an arrogant smile.

The Co-host pulled a lever to recline the sofa and be more comfortable, "but what if the robot hurt those kids, or if they hurt themselves."

"What? Chef, this is Total Drama! Who cares if they get a little hurt here and there. As long as it's not lethal, we're fine." Said Chris making a small smile.

"Yes, but was letting that Robo-freak knockout Brick and Al also in your plans? They fell unconscious," said Chef, then he finished his beer.

Chris looked at him with wide eyes. "What are you talking about? This season will be the most awesome, dangerous, and extreme season EVER. From now on, the challenges will only get more and more interesting. So don't get cold feet for a pair of concussions."

"Yeah, yeah. Just don't overdo it. And also, I don't care if I'm a bad actor. If you pull another challenge like this without telling me first, I´m done with the show." shouted Chef, standing up from the sofa. Steve looked at him with wide eyes.

"Don´t be like this Chef. I already said that I'm sorry," said Chris putting his hand on the big man's shoulder. "There will not be another challenge like this, so don't be angry like that."

The co-host looked at him and smiled. "As long as you understand, everything is fine. Now I'll go to sleep."

Chris looked at Chef until he left the room. Then the phone in the office began to sound.

"Now what?" asked Chris in an upset tone, taking the phone. "Hello? Yes, I'm Chris McLean."

The host kept speaking and nodding while Steve worked editing the episode. It took 4 hours, but at least it was over. Or that was what the intern thought.

"Blaineley only had one job, ONE JOB. Yes, we'll do something about it, bye," said Chris hanging up abruptly.

Chris rubbed his temple and shrugged. "Steve, I have good news for you! It seems like there was some kind of problem in the Aftermath, and it was revealed that Dave is Dramaman. So we need to edit the episode again. And I know how you love editing. Isn't it wonderful?"

Steve's jaw dropped, and he began to sweat, "but it will take at least 2 hours to edit the episode again."

"That's true. You're really lucky that it's not midnight yet. If you hurry up, you may be able to sleep 5 full hours. Here take this bill and buy us some coffee," replied the host smiling mockingly.

The chubby intern sighed sadly. After working for Chris for all these years, he knew it was useless trying to reason with him. So he just began to work again. A long night awaited him.

Brick woke up early in the morning. But almost 1 hour past his usual time. Alejandro wasn´t in his bed, so he began to get ready to go out and start his daily routine, trying to be as silent as he could.

"Hey! G.I. Joe, Already getting ready?" asked Duncan, scratching his head, dressed only on his trunks and his piercings.

"Good Morning, my fellow teammate," said Brick, saluting, "yes, I'm getting ready to start my jogging. How unusual for you to wake up this early."

Duncan stretched out and smirked. "Yesterday I slept early. And I guess the noise of Al getting ready woke me up. And you? How is it that you're not already out there? I mean, it's already past sunrise."

"I overslept, probably I'm still tired after the last challenge," replied Brick with a worried expression while putting on his tank top.

"If you're tired then sleep. If you don't take care of your body no one will," said Duncan while slowly standing up.

The cadet blinked a couple of times surprised by the strange display of kindness. "Thanks for your concern but I'm just a little tired. And also I already skipped training yesterday so I want to at least try to do my routine today."

"Whatever," replied the delinquent, putting on his pants when suddenly the door opened.

Alejandro was sweating, looking at Brick and Duncan with wide eyes, "Amigos come quickly. You need to see this."

Both men looked at each other, and they followed the Spaniard, Brick fully clothed and Duncan with only his pants and sneakers. They ran out of the cabins and after a few steps in the road they could see it.

The sky was completely overcast, with dark clouds covering all, giving a gloom feeling over the island.

But it wasn't that what surprised them. In the middle of the island, they could see a funfair, an old and eerie funfair. It was large and from a distance they could see that it had a roller coaster and a huge ferris wheel.

"What is a fair doing here?" asked Brick, looking with wide eyes at the place.

Duncan sighed and began to walk back to the cabins, "It's obvious G.I. Joe. It's the place of today's challenge."

Then from the loudspeaker began to sound a fairground organ, playing the song 'Entrance of the Gladiator' by Julius Fučík. Over the music Chris's excited voice could be heard.

"Good Morning, campers, and Welcome Welcome to the funniest and more dangerous place on earth. The Awesome Total Drama Carnival of Pain, or Drama Carnival for short." Said Chris sounding like a circus ringmaster.

Groans and protests could be heard from the campers that were still sleeping. "Come and find all our different attractions! The mysterious house of mirrors, the terrifying haunted house, the thrilling roller coaster 'Chef's Mountain', and the boring but equally amazing Ferris Wheel."

"Hurry up, the entrance is free for any camper that is taking part in the amazing Total Drama Show. You will find excitement, surprises, and for the fortunate survivors, pardon I mean winners, immunity in tonight's elimination. So what're you waiting for? Hurry up and join us, if you dare," said Chris in a louder tone, laughing.

After some minutes the campers were all ready and walking to the Drama Carnival. The foxes were a little ahead of the ferrets. The 12 remaining campers didn't seem too excited to take part in the fair.

At the entrance of the fair, standing over a goofy statue of an elephant was Chris McLean. He was wearing a multi-colored shirt with a purple jacket and a golden top hat and a matching bow tie. Half of his face was painted in white with clown makeup over it. He was holding a silver cane in his hands. Around him on the floor were various interns dressed as clowns.

"Welcome campers, to The Greatest, Funniest, Awesomest and most Dangerous Fair on the earth, The Total Drama Carnival of Pain," said Chris raising his hands.

"What a lame name. Did you come up with it?" asked Amy, rolling her eyes.

The host cleared his throat and narrowed his eyes, "No, DAM chose the name, and it's a GREAT name. Anyway thanks for coming, even if you really didn't have any alternative."

"Stop with the ringmaster act Chris. And tell us what the challenge is about," Courtney demanded, raising an eyebrow.

"Yes, and what about the surprises you promised?" shouted Topher, cupping his mouth with his hands to sound louder.

"And also, is there a petting zoo?" asked Lilly in her low and polite tone. Sky, Heather, and Duncan glared at her. "Sorry, it's just that I love petting zoos," she replied, blushing.

"Great questions and I have great answers! But you'll have to wait until we come back from our commercial break," said Chris, winking at the camera with his clown's eye. "Stay tuned to find out the answer here, in Total Drama Tyranny of the Masses."
