New Story! Hanging in Shiro's server has inspired me to write a gamer story, it will be less number focus though it will still have some of that of course.
The character is already dear to my heart, and we are only a chapter in lol
Hope you guys like it.
Man do I love Burger King.
"Oh my god, that's disgusting how the hell did you manage to eat the entire thing in one bite" Seeing Vidal tear into Vince's eating habit is always funny.
"I just press with my two hands until it is small enough to fit in my mouth" The looks the family next stall are giving us are probably warranted.
"You are going to permanently scar a kid eating like that." He said while wearing the last Burger King cardboard crown, pretty sure he took it from some random kid.
"Okay, I finished eating let's go outside and get some fresh air, before going to Otis's House to celebrate not being stuck inside no longer" I cheered and started going outside.
Seeing my friends stay inside the mall, makes me throw them a questionable look.
"It is too cold out there man, besides it looks like it will start raining anyways, let's go up to the GameZone, I am sure I can beat the record in that fucking punching machine tonight," Vince said for what must have been the sixth time since we started hanging around the mall.
"Sure, I will take a breather and go join you" Stepping outside, while my friends grumble about my fresh air-loving ass.
I dislike the smell of a modern city, especially closed spaces, sue me.
Stepping outside I take the opportunity to take a deep breath, man it smells like fresh rain.
"What is that taste though?" It tastes almost like metal, I suppose.
Feeling something strange in my arm, I look at it to see the hairs stand on end.
"Huh? Well, isn't that just We-…."
Before I could finish the sentence, a blinding light engulfed me.
I felt just a smidge of pain before I knew no more.
(Somewhere)
"Wha-at happened?" I grumbled drowsily, man I feel like, I have slept for an entire year.
"Wow, talk about sleepy muscles, feels like I have been sleeping over my arm all night, only my entire body".
"I guess you could call what you have been doing sleeping in a way"
I hear a voice coming all around me.
Opening my eyes and looking around me, I see... nothing.
Literally, it is all dark I can't see shit!
"Where are you?! Show yourself!" I am beginning to panic slightly; this feels too real to be a nightmare, besides I have been able to tell when I am dreaming since I was a kid.
"'Where' is a relative term partner, but I guess you could say I am close to you"
Well, that isn't fucking creepy at all.
Also, how am I here?
That one I can give you a definitive answer, you are dead, you were struck by Lightning, I believe you would call it shit luck? It WAS a 1-in-15300 chance of getting hit in your lifetime after all, and when you take into consideration that only 10% of victims actually die, well unlucky is a little short of a term.
I am dead.
I almost screamed into the nothingness and started hyperventilating, but something cut me short, I just couldn't seem to gather the energy to break down.
What are you?
Glad that you finally ask, I am your new lifetime partner, you can call me System
Partner? Why does that sound familiar?
Wait a minute.
"You are one of those overpowered gamer systems, aren't you? The one from all those Fics I read!"
Honestly, the trope was a little overdone.
No, I am not
Oh, that is a little disappointing.
I am a Symbiote as it were, I have reached a cap in my capabilities and to smash through my own power ceiling, I have decided to create this partnership with you, I guess you are luckier than we first thought, huh champ?
Don't call me that it is disgusting.
Also just realized you can read my mind and what do you mean Symbiote, how does this partnership benefit me if I am fucking dead!
Easily, of course, I can send your soul to a world you desire and into a body that matches your specifications, the multiverse is infinite after all, somewhere in the universe there is a suitable body.
I am getting isekai, well good shit, but how does this benefit YOU.
Simply put, your success is my success, literally, I feed on the concepts of accomplishment and triumph, you achieving greatness, in numerous ways and worlds, directly impacts how powerful I rise and by consequence you become.
'So, no easy farmer life then' I thought sarcastically.
As if you would let yourself live that type of life, I have already merged with you, there was more than one reason for me choosing you, and there is your grit, you have the mental necessary to carve yourself from nothing and you are nothing if not ambitious, I CAN read your mind remember? I know you are already planning ways to go back to your original world with your powers
Ah, busted.
Not that I have a problem with it mind you, by the point you are capable of such a feat, you staying to live the rest of the life you would have had will be practically a vacation
Ah vacation huh, I guess that is a way to look at all this, just have to get powerful enough to go back and reunite with everyone with super powerful cheats.
Oh, I like the sound of that.
"Well then the world is already selected, MY HERO ACADEMIA by the way, so we can go to character creation"
"You liar, you ARE a gamer system! also why is it already selected! I mean MHA is a really safe world though, so I don't see a problem with that part, but my growth will be slower to worlds like DxD or the like, didn't you want to be stronger?"
It is exactly because I want to become stronger than I am sending you to a relatively safe world, I am not certain that I can hide from the most powerful gods from the multiverse, do you want to drop to DxD, Marvel, or Worm, just to have Ophis, The One Above All or every thinker on the planet at your doorstep?
"Also, I am a Gamer System because that is what your mind desired, I simply adapted to something you are comfortable with."
"Okay, Okay I get it, I won't go stupid, and bite more than I can chew"
"Excellent first there are some essentials."
Skill Acquired
[Gamers Mind] (Passive)
Allows the user to think things calmly and logically when required, while still maintaining emotions for motivation.
Prevents detrimental states of mind, like Panic, Anxiety, and Depression.
Grants Immunity to Phycological status effects
Skill Acquired
[Gamers Body] (Passive)
Morphs the body so the user can live life like it was a videogame.
[Observe] (Active)
An essential tool, it allows the wielder to obtain information from the target, too wide of a difference in level, may have an impact on information received.
[Gamers Mind] is so fucking good like no joke one of if not the best skill a gamer can have.
"Before we get started in selecting your setting in the MHA universe, let us select your class, your background will be altered so your initial skills have an in-world basis, may affect your quirk unless selected otherwise"
[Warrior] [Ranger] [Rogue] [Monk]
There aren't any spellcasters?" I asked more curious than anything, it isn't like magic is widely available in every game after all, and more importantly, it is often difficult to unlock.
There aren't any magic-using classes, because we haven't traveled to any magic-using universe, the moment you do so, I will be able to offer you some magic casting options, but no sooner than that.
Okay, important decision obviously.
I don't have magic classes but that is okay, I can be patient when necessary.
There is also the fact that those kinds of skills would garner a lot of attention relatively quickly.
Physical skills on the other hand are practically ignored. Eraserhead and Stain show clearly superhuman levels of Physical might and speed, capable of matching even people with mutant quirks and no one bats an eye.
I also don't think this world is the best for up and close fighters funnily enough.
The best quirks in the world are mainly at their strongest at melee range, Overhaul, Shigaraki only need a touch to kill you, even All for One needs to be close to steal your quirk.
So, the smart choice I think would be [Ranger], great range and normally comes with lots of dexterity which would allow me to get out of the way of any grabby hands.
"I choose [Ranger] "
Select a Specialization.
[Beast Master] [Marksman] [Survivalist]
That are the Wow hunter specs, aren't they?
Well, the answer is obvious, there aren't any good pets in MHA and Survivalist is melee, which isn't what I am looking for in this class.
[Marksman] It is System.
"So be it here is your status"
Class Acquired
[Marksman] - LV 1/50 [0%]
Gain 5 DEX, 2 STR, And 1 END per level.
Skill Acquired
[Bow Proficiency (Novice)]
Gain knowledge of how to use a bow equivalent to someone who wields it as a hobby.
Skill Acquired
[Mantis Shot]
Rapidly makes a shot to the target, for low damage.
Deal [(DEXx2) + Weapon Damage] Piercing Damage.
Cost 20 SP
[Steady Shot]
A powerful aimed shot.
Deal [(DEXx3) + Weapon Damage] Piercing Damage
Has 2 seconds cast time.
Cost 30 SP
Cast times and costs are subject to change with your level and stats.
I can definitely work with this, I didn't even expect any END when I choose the class, and it seems my offensive option is fast but weak damage and a slower stronger damage source.
I can, if you desire you can gain a perk at the cost of a trait, the latter one can be beneficial or not depending on your perspective.
Mmh tempting.
Are these traits physical or mental?
They can be both, it can range from you needing glasses to see, to you becoming a sadist.
Then I will refuse.
There is no chance in hell I will modify my personality for some perk no matter how good.
I am not that desperate.
Very well then, we will now focus on how you will drop to MHA, as I have claimed before, I feed on success and triumph I can convert these into energy which then will be turned into points for you to spend in your settings and possible skills.
I wonder how many points I have gathered in my life.
You gathered the slightly above average amount of 500 points, based on your economic, social, and academic success among others.
Huh, neat I suppose, not sure what else to say about having your entire life turn into a game over point count.
Continuing on, the first thing to be addressed is how are you going to arrive at MHA
How are you going to shake up the world partner?
[Drop Off] (0 Points)
You appear as you were before your death, you have no backstory or identifying ID's, everything you earn is up to you, you are literally at the bottom of the barrel.
[Just your average guy] (100 Points)
You appear as a normal 18-year old, you have no special qualities in your background, your parents aren't important to the wider world, and they also aren't overly wealthy. You do have the basics of this world's history and inhabitants as well as all the necessary identifications to look clean.
[Legacy] (200 Points)
You carry a torch, be they hero's, villain's or that beautiful in-between one of your parents or both were famous to the general public, allows access to quest and opportunities you wouldn't have otherwise.
Curious and curiouser, drop off is out of the table, having an actual background in the world is worth at least 100 points, the legacy is curious, do I get to pick who I am the legacy off?
Yes, but your quirk will be unrelated to them, if you choose the All for One legacy you won't get a version of his quirk, he won't even be aware of your existence you will be a literal bastard.
Well, there goes that idea down the drain.
Do I have to choose now, or can I continue and check what other ways I have to spend points.
You can continue to the quirk selection. Take a look.
There was what seemed to literally be an endless list of quirks, setting the quirks from most expensive to cheapest, I encountered a problem
The best quirks were expensive as shit.
All for One cost 1500 points, triple of what I had, Overhaul and One for all weren't any better.
There was also a problem that most good quirks were 450 points and up in cost.
Are there any cheaper options? Or ways in which I can lower the prices.
They are actually. If you are willing to let things up to randomness, there is an option to buy a quirk of a certain power level at a reduced price, but it will completely random, you could get a mutant quirk or one with a side effect you may not like.
Seeing the list of bundles appear, I hesitate slightly, before choosing a random tier 3 quirk.
[Random Quirk (Tier 3)] (250 Points)
Quirks with considerable potential use, but considerable drawbacks.
Ex: Electrification, Erasure, Sugar Rush, etc.
You will get your quirk when you arrive at the world.
Seeing the 50 points left over, I start looking for any useful quirk that costs 50 points. If there aren't any, I will choose the bundle.
Scrolling through quirks I find one that instantly gets my attention.
[Perfect Vision] (50 Points)
You have perfect vision... for a base human that is. While it won't allow you any quicksilver reaction scenes, it is still supremely useful, you push the base human's eyes to their very limit
This one is great for my [Marksman] class, there are probably some skills with similar effects on the class, but hopefully, they will stack together.
That is, its System, I choose the [Legacy] option for my starting point, and I choose the Shimura Legacy
Being related to Nana Shimura gives me an in with a lot of important people, but it isn't too famous of a person as to have someone looking constantly over my shoulder, like if I had chosen Endeavour or All for One.
I would rather maintain a low profile while I can, at least until I am relatively strong enough to live by myself.
Lastly, there is your main quest to choose, this option doesn't look you into not completing the others unless explicitly stated, but the one you choose now will grant greater rewards than they would normally do.
From there another list of options came from varying wildly in difficulty and theme.
There is one for simply becoming a pro hero and the harder version of becoming the symbol of peace.
There is one for becoming the richest inventor in the world.
There are also some greyed options, like become a quirkless hero or villain.
Finally, I choose one of the hardest but also one of the simplest
Legendary Quest Chosen.
(League Breaker)
You have marked the League of Villains for dead, be it because of your morals or your desires, you don't wish their continued existence.
Objectives:
-Terminate All for One
-Terminate Kurogiri
-Terminate Tomura Shigaraki
-Terminate Dr. Ujiko
-Terminate Gigantomachia
Rewards:
-All for One (Tier 1 Quirk)
-World Jump option.
-1 Legendary Gacha Token
-True Independent perk
The options are chosen, prepare yourself for the drop-in

What Drop!
1
(Somewhere in Musutafu 10:00 PM)
"Ugh" the sound left me as I hit a hard cold floor.
"That drop huh?" I hear a slightly feminine voice say near me.
"Is that me?" I asked to the air, and the same voice comes forth.
Hastily getting up I look around the basic room around me, I see some books around a desk and a barely hidden modern-looking bow, alongside a quiver behind it.
Look down at my body, I realize that I am a lot smaller than I was before how much exactly I can't tell.
I do realize that I have pale skin, and a much sleeker physique, I am by no means burly, but I expected that being that I choose the archer class, and I am now Japanese.
Checking the most important part, I see that my junk is the same size as before.
Seeing a bathroom connected at the other end of the room, I go to see if there is a mirror to check myself with.
Entering the bathroom, I am grateful to find a mirror, taking a look at my new appearance, the first thing I thought spews forth from my lips without me realizing.
"Cute..." That's right not handsome or dashing, but cute.
From my hair which is now a gray wavy bob cut, to my round eyes, which are purplish in color, kinda like a raspberry now that I think about it. I maintained my big full lips and a small pretty nose.
All those things would have been great.
If I was describing a woman!
"System, why the fuck I am a trap!" I tried to growl but with me being unaccustomed to my new tone of voice, it came more like a squeak.
I will never understand how humans can be so worried about appearances, you have a useful functioning body, where before you had a charred corpse, you cannot see this as a bad thing
Taking a deep breath, and letting gamers mind do its job, I realize that he is right, the appearance that I have at the end of the day is irrelevant, I am THE Gamer, I will probably be able to shapeshift in the future.
There is no point in bitching, that I don't look as manly as I want.
"You are right, I am sorry for the outburst."
Besides I can work with this look, women are supposed to love pretty boys, right?
Who knows? Maybe the androgynous look will grow on me.
'I do have a great ass at least' I think while lightly slapping my new bubble butt.
"Okay enough playing around, status"
Yasu Shimura

"Yasu? I suppose I really am Japanese now"
"Also, where are these body memories?"
I decided that hitting you with all the memories and experiences at once may be a little overwhelming for you, you already have them they will just slide into your conscious mind slowly during your first week here. That doesn't mean you can access them now just that you have to make an effort to remember them.
Okay, I think I understand.
Trying to remember my backstory brings some results.
Yasu Shimura, an orphan brought to the orphanage when he was 2 years old, his parents died 'mysteriously' alongside his extended family, the only thing that the police detectives could find was the dust of the remains of the family.
Was classified as a villain attacked and never resolved.
Time passed for Yasu he grew up as a close figure in the orphanage taking care of the smaller children, without knowing anything of his parents' gruesome end.
Of course, that kind of secret is hard to keep, so he recently came to know that his entire family died one single, by a supposed Villain attack.
He tried to ignore of course, and his friends and family in the orphanage tried to convince him that there was no point in investigating.
Of course, he didn't believe that and grew slightly obsessed with finding his family's killer and bringing him to justice.
Putting intense hours on the archery club in his high school, that with his quirk would have guaranteed him a place in UA, but he instead chooses to remain to help in the orphanage and training to start his vigilante career.
...Man that is some heavy stuff.
Also, thanks to my meta knowledge I know there is nothing mysterious about the killer at all. It clearly was Tomura, or at the time Tenko going on a rampage when his quirk activated for the first time, he was too young to go visit the extended family, so they left him with a family friend and walked into their dooms.
He was on a collision course against Shigaraki and by extension All for One, so his chances weren't the best all-around.
Funnily enough, I already know my quirk from my previous memories.
[Earth Sculptor] (Tier 3 Quirk)
Allows the wielder to modify the earth around him with great ease, can slightly alter the consistency of the earth. Overuse causes the effect [Brittle bones], how much it can be used is determined by the END stat.
It is a great quirk really, earth is all around us after all, the only problem is the side effect.
[Brittle bones] (Status Effect)
Causes pain in the skeletal system after a certain point, pain increases drastically after the breaking point, results in trembling as a side effect.
It is similar to Endeavour's overheating side effect, and a limiter of the quirk.
The only difference between my and Endeavors' quirk is that [Earth Sculptor] works from my endurance, but it doesn't improve it, making so I would have had eventually hit a cap in my power.
Like how Kaminari's quirk doesn't help him stop short-circuiting, it just isn't a mechanic of his quirk, if he had electric resistance as a perk , things may be different.
But he isn't a gamer, I am.
I know I can increase my Endurance (indefinitely or close to it), a perfect quirk for someone like me, who can improve his body without a quirk.
I already have a fighting style in mind with this quirk.
Terrain control as a ranged fighter is always good.
(Musutafu, near Tatooin Station 11:00 PM)
I decided to follow Yasu's original plan and go on my first run into the city tonight partly because I wanted to test my skills against your average crooks and Yasu had already scouted some trigger dealers in this area,
But mainly because I had to for a couple of reasons.
First ID create isn't a thing for me, System made it very clear, that if he could create a close dimension in which he could spawn enemies to make me stronger, he wouldn't need me in the first place.
Secondly, there is this.
Audentes Fortuna Iuvat (Common Quest)
The world will be yours for the taking, but not today. Every adventure starts somewhere, take your first step into the world of Heroes Villains, and Vigilantes.
Objectives
-Find the group of criminals that you had previously scouted in the act and stop them!
Bonus Objectives
-Make sure no one sees you
-Suffer no damage.
Rewards
-150 EXP
-2 Common Gacha tokens
Bonus Rewards
-You can't see me! (Perk)
-Fleet-footed (Perk)
The rewards are just too tempting to not try to do it.
So that is the reason that I am currently wearing a black hooded puffer jacket alongside a dark facemask.
For legwear the darkest thing that Yasu had were some black winter leggings, he seemed to have had invested heavily in the fem boy look, so my wardrobe if filled with clothes like this.
Whatever the work for now.
At least the boots are workable with some dark brown heavy-duty boots.
My weapon and arrows were secured in my inventory, for now, no need to look extra shady.
Walking around the area it doesn't take long to find the group Yasu had scouted beforehand in a dark alleyway, they are your average level thugs, one has a mutant quirk which gives him a beak and what seemed to be talons, so he is going down first, the other two are unknowns with the quirks, but I doubt they are anything too dangerous, they wouldn't be thugs otherwise.
Looking around I see if there are any stairs for me to get to the buildings up top and get a positional advantage.
Then I remembered my quirk and had a small desire to slap myself.
Turning away from the alleyway and into the building on its left side, I check to make sure no one is around before having a feel of the building with my quirk.
It is a brick made building.
Bricks are 80% sand and clay; I can work with this.
Using my quirk by what isn't technically my first time, I feel slightly more resistance than my memory suggested pure earth would feel, but slowly and more importantly silently I am able to create earth holds on the outside of the building that I make to climb up the two stories.
It would normally be scarier to do this, but I use my quirk to make sure the holds are grabbing me as much as I them.
Reaching the top of the relatively short building I take my bow and arrows out of my inventory.
Modern Recurve Bow (Common)
Deal (10+DEX) Damage on strike.
Damage type is determined by the arrow type.
Blunted Arrows (Common)
Deal 10 additional damage per shot.
Damage Type blunt.
These arrows have been modified to ensure minimum lethality, when an opponent would be killed, they are left with 1HP and with the [Unconscious] status effect.
Yasu wasn't a killer so he made these, useful for sure
If a new vigilante who uses lethal force appears so close to my orphanage who coincidentally also uses a bow...
Well, I can't expect the police to be that stupid.
Setting myself in a vantage point I look down to my three targets
[Observe] is quite useful indeed.
Gang thug #1
LV 8
HP: 125
Thought about you: Doesn't know you exist
Gang thug #2
HP:80
LV6
Thought about you: Doesn't know you exist
Gang thug #3
LV 13
HP:150
Thought about you: Doesn't know you exist
Seems I was right about the mutant quirk one being the strongest still can beat them though especially since there aren't any doors into the building nearby, and I am pretty sure I can pursue any who try to run.
Preparing myself I see the three of them close together in a circle perfect.
I Cast [Steady Shot] at the back of the nape of the beak guy, and after the two seconds are up, I am already casting another to his face before the damage I see pop-up make me change targets
Critical Strike! Critical Zone DMGX2= 180 DMG
Target is now unconscious!
I don't have to process the fact that I get crits before my mind centers on changing target, this time I am unable to get a headshot and the arrow flies straight to...
My second targets groin, oof.
Critical Strike! Critical Zone DMGx2= 180 DMG
Target is now unconscious!
Seeing the arrow instantly knockout someone from a groin shot distracts me long enough for the weakest thug to get his shit together and start running for cover.
"Oh no you don't" I murmured to myself using my quirk I open my hand before closing with force.
The effect was instantaneous, the ground on which he was running grew sandy making him slip and drop tooth first into the ground with a resounding thud.
Ouch
-20 DMG
Taking advantage of him being laid down on the ground, I cast [Mantis Shot] to his back knocking him out
-65 DMG
Target is now unconscious!
The fight ended EXP acquired

Hope you like the concept.
