(8:00 AM February 19th)

(Yasu Pov)

The first thing that woke me up in the morning was the sound of movement from downstairs, I have always been a light sleeper, sometimes it has even fucked me over since I'm unable to go back to sleep.

It seems the day has already started for some of the kids, I would honestly rather sleep a little bit more, but I did promise grandma Keiko that I would cook today and tomorrow.

Taking a deep breath to wake up I get a whiff of strawberries helping me relax a little, I had almost forgotten that Himiko was here, though with her body pressing against mine that would be extremely difficult.

I was about to gently wake Himiko up, when banging on my door beat me to it ruthlessly.

"Yasu if you don't think I forgot about your punishment! I am not old enough to forget what I said yesterday yet! Also, I brought clothes for Himiko we don't want her going half-naked through the orphanage, right? I don't want the children getting traumatized" She started screaming before lowering her voice when it came time to speak about Himiko.

Speaking of which, feeling squirming in my arms I look down from the door towards Himiko and I see that she is blushing and looking down not making eye contact with me.

How cute.

"Sure, thing grandma Keiko! Just let me take a quick power shower and I will drop down there!" I shout back, I do want a good scalding shower, but it is mainly me wanting some private time to check on the dates and open the gacha tokens that I got last night.

I can feel Himiko whining looking at me with uncertainty, it didn't take me long to figure out why.

"Himiko don't worry about the kids on the orphanage, in all honesty, I am one of the oldest here, they are mainly kids, they won't discriminate against you for your quirk, grandma Keiko made sure to raise them better than that," I explain shuddering at the end remembering one particular kid that didn't get the memo.

Talk about getting your ass whoop.

With clear reluctance, she nods and moves towards the door where she is greeted by Keiko who takes one look at her shirt wearing body and then at me raising an eyebrow and smiling a teasing smile.

Now I feel kind of bad for sending her away, but I won't always be there to help her and besides, I will be going to the kitchen soon enough.

Moving my eyes to the bathroom I have in my room as a benefit for being an Orphanage assistant I ignore Keiko's giggles and close the door.

The first thing I do is check the date which tells me that it is February 19th this alone doesn't tell me much, so I think about an event I can look to give me information.

Searching for UA's entrance exams leaves me with a date of February 26th, so I am two weeks before the entrance exams and the slime villain incident happened nine and a half months ago.

That is... honestly not ideal, if I had dropped at the slime villain incident I would have had considerable months to work with, that amount of time for a gamer would have practically guaranteed me being strong enough to survive canon, that is of course assuming that there would be any canon remaining by that time.

Still, it would be three weeks before the UA exam results are sent and a month after that for the term to start, so I have time, things could definitely have been worse.

Also checking the news, I see that no drastic changes exist to canon from what I can tell, the video of Midoriya jumping into the fray was more or less similar to the anime and manga though considerably more impressive to see in real life.

Makes me wonder how someone could call someone like that useless.

Feeling more grounded now that I know where I am standing, I turn the shower and start thinking my options.

The hot water helps me relax slightly while I think.

The first real chance I would have to get rid of the League of Villains is the day of the USJ incident so like the second week of April.

That is the first instance that I have where I will be sure at what time and place some members of the League will be, in this case, Tomura Shigaraki and the Nomu Kurogiri.

I am not 100% sure at which time of the day the USJ attack takes place but that is information that I can acquire, the question of how isn't all that hard, all things considered, I am sure I can 'convince' Giran to give me the location of the bar and the league did employ mass recruitment of unknown individuals for the attack so sneaking in shouldn't be that hard.

The league worked as well as it did in canon thanks to its secrecy me knowing what I do helps extremely

So, either at the bar or at the USJ itself I can attack, though both choices aren't that good in one hand the nomu is going to be there and I am not sure I will be able to fight it, Tomura, Kurogiri, and the rest of the mooks at the same time.

Besides, there would be witnesses at the USJ and the noise at the bar would get heroes flocking into the bar so that is a problem.

No, the best choice would be to set a trap at the bar itself, how hard could it be to get either poison or explosives and set it at the bar?

It would be a matter of setting something that triggers the moment someone enters the bar, Tomura and Kurogiri would arrive wounded and tired to the bar just for it to go boom, getting two targets of my list in one fell swoop.

The question would be, is it worth it?

The moment I kill Kurogiri and Tomura, I will probably also kill any interest from All For One of being in the limelight, Tomura is his precious project, his fledgling 'Symbol of Evil' I am sure that the moment Tomura is gone he would disappear from the grid alongside his doctor and Gigantomachia.

It would make finishing the quest a pain in the neck.

On the other hand, killing All For One first while much more difficult it would be much less likely to make my knowledge useless, it wouldn't be the same as being imprisoned, and it comes with the risk of pushing Tomura into becoming the Symbol of Evil much quicker, but it would probably be for the best.

It would push my initial attack considerably forward, to the Kamino arc probably, but that is probably worth it.

Feeling the water turn cold makes me realize that I have spent longer than expected planning and thinking, it is probably best if I continue thinking later, I am sure I will get more ideas with time.

Turning off the shower before the water turns any colder, I start drying myself while checking the quest I finished yesterday.

Accepting the rewards, I am greeted by multiple notifications.

EXP gained 250

Level UP!

Skills Acquired

[Blood Tracking] (Skill)

-Allows the user to utilize the scent of blood to track people, once a specific individual's blood has been tracked before you become able to distinguish it from others.

[Ricochet] (Skill)

-Fires a projectile that rebounds a certain number of times based on DEX, from any surfaces they hit dealing increased damage

Deals [Dex + Weapon Damage] for each hit.

Current number of rebounds: 4

Items Acquired!

The skills were nice though I would have preferred a defensive skill and my bow is still broken, so I can't use the second one.

The items were slotted into my inventory which is good to know, this means I can accept quest rewards in front of people, and nothing will drop on my lap.

The items themselves were the token that allows someone to temporarily change their appearance in the case of this particular token an entire hour, useful for the future probably.

The last two items were the gacha tokens of uncommon quality which the item description tells me guarantees an at least uncommon tier item.

I should probably already have gone to the kitchen, so I don't take much time in taking the tokens out of my inventory.

They shine a light blue and have the shape of a medal, seeing a dividing line down the middle makes the way of activating them very clear.

Snapping one in half leaves me with a satisfying sound and a notification that an item has been added to my inventory as well as a blue mist.

Supercharged grenade (Uncommon)

Through unresponsible tampering this grenade has been modified to deal increase damage than its common counterpart, it is however unreliable.

Deals 600 Damage,

Has a 33% chance to not explode at all.

Has a 1% chance to explode suddenly every hour outside of the inventory

That is...

Well, maybe it will be helpful in an emergency, definitely not trusting it though.

Honestly, I am hoping to get a bow, with mine broken and with no replacements nearby, it would mean that I would have to buy a new regular one, and those are both expensive and as shown in my fight with Himiko unreliable at times.

A higher quality bow would probably be much more durable.

Looking at my second and last token I look at it for half a minute before snapping it as well.

The only difference this time was that the mist that left was purple, if that means what I think it does then?

Hastily opening my inventory, I almost cheer out loud at the lucky pull, so purple is Epic quality then.

Fight style token (Epic)

Gives the user the knowledge and muscle memory of one specific fighter's fighting style, if the user has the body to utilize the techniques effectively is entirely dependent on them.

This token belongs to: [Juri Han]

It entails the style of fighting: [Taekwondo]

The token had a black background with a purple and pink spider taking the rest of the design.

This is a really good pull, as much as I may have trained in the gym and as much as I may like the technique side of fighting, I would have never reached the level of someone like Juri, I just didn't have the drive nor natural talent to reach that level of skill without the gamer system.

It does feel slightly cheap to take someone's hard work and just adapt to it with minimal effort, but I am a gamer, and more importantly, if Juri has a problem with it she can send me a complaint from the other side of the multiverse.

Snapping the token, a grunt leaves me when the knowledge starts pouring into my brain at great speeds making me grit my teeth.

The process took about half a minute and left me with a slight pounding in the head, but I think it was totally worth it.

Setting myself in a fighting position my body moves fluidly positioning my right foot off the ground making it so my knee stays slightly above waist height, with my right arm resting above the said knee.

Some of the techniques used by Juri make me flinch slightly as I process them, hers is not a defensive nor nice style of fighting, the opposite in truth it is one based on extreme aggression and a substantial amount of violence.

Still, the style is both suited and not for me.

On the plus side, I am of the same height as Juri making it so translating the moves is much easier.

On the other side, my DEX is not high enough for some of her moves (yet) and I am unable to use her ki based attacks as well as lacking the Feng Shui Engine which was responsible for the blinding speed and reflexes Juri had in the lore.

This means that her strongest moves aren't accessible to me just yet or any time soon it seems.

It still feels great.

Now that I think about it shouldn't I test my dexterity? To see how well I can do the kicks of course.

Feeling giddy, I bend my knees and throw my arms back before jumping into the air tucking my knees in the process while spinning backwards in the air before I untuck my knees and land on the ground.

I just did a fucking backflip! Hell yeah!

I have always wanted to try doing one, but never felt I was flexible enough.

I wonder if I can do a split?

"Yasu can you speed it up?! It is almost 9:00 and some kids haven't eaten yet!" I hear from Keiko who is moving the bowls of rice and miso soup from my hands to the kids, thankfully the orphanage isn't huge.

There are around twenty kids which is a considerable amount, but not anything crazy especially when they are taught to clean after themselves.

Through all the cooking I see a notification appear that makes me raise an eyebrow.

Cooking Profession Acquired!

I am checking that later.

Speaking of said kids I see from the corner of my eyes that they are currently around Himiko asking her an endless current of questions, it is pretty funny thankfully she doesn't seem too uncomfortable more confused than anything.

"Yasu! Yasu!" I look behind me and see one of the younger kids Kenzo Fujimori, eight years old if my memory serves me right, he is honestly one of the kids more likely to get adopted due to his quirk Sand Force which allows him to manipulate sand in all its states though the heavier the sand the harder it is to control.

Kids like him are always adopted relatively quickly, though Keiko makes sure to judge the parent's nature before even letting them see the kids, there are a lot of adults that just want to adopt a kid with a good quirk to get a pro hero in their family.

Even if those aren't their intentions a kid with a 'good' quirk is much more likely to get adopted, even if only subconsciously parents will see a child with a great quirk in a better light.

They were studies conducted about this exact subject, having a good quirk is similar to being pretty or handsome in this quirk focused society, it can make people ignore some negative traits and enhances the positive ones.

A lot of adults tried to adopt the previous Yasu, especially with his grades being as good as they were, but the answer was always no, he just didn't seem to trust any of them, and after he started investigating the subject, he felt vindicated in his decisions.

"Hey, Yasuuu! Look at me!" Pulling my mind from the tangent it fell into I look at Kenzo to see he is using his sand to cover his forearm with the sand being so tightly packed together that it is a homogenous shape

Smiling I throw him a thumbs-up and a nod making him beam, our quirks being similar in nature at times has made it, so he sees me as a big brother figure, more than the rest of the kids anyways.

He is always looking for new ways to use his quirk which speaks well of him, there are a lot of people who think that a great combat quirk will carry them to the top, they mostly end up at some second-rate hero school.

Quirks are biological you have to work them over, train and think about them to use them to their full potential, of course, if your quirk is really good, like 1 in 100000 good, you could get into a good hero school or even UA with little hard work in your part, but the chance of you surviving your entire tutelage there without getting expelled is abysmal and that is not speaking what would happen if you turned pro.

Now that I think about it Kenzo's quirk reminds me of Gaara from Naruto, maybe there are some ideas I can share with him.

Quickly finishing the rest of the dishes, I join the rest of the kids that are still eating on the table sitting beside Himiko.

"See I told you they weren't that bad" I whisper to Himiko when I seat next to her, making her smile shyly.

They are good kids, for the most part, they are stupid at times, but that is just kids being kids.

Keiko finally arrived sitting in front of me using a napkin to wipe some soup from the mouth of one of the kids.

"Yasu, you better don't forget about that man coming here after 13:00, he seemed like a nice enough person, he even works at All Might's hero agency, so he probably is some important businessman, not that either him or you felt like telling me much about it" She ends up with a grumble, I was confused for a second before the memory of who would be coming here makes me choke on the rice I was eating.

Coughing harshly, I start thinking about what to do while Himiko massages my back and Keiko berates me for forgetting.

The name of the man who was coming today didn't mean much to the previous Yasu, but it sure as fuck does to me.

What the fuck does Toshinori Yagi want with me.

Thinking harder about it I remember the context of it.

Toshinori Yagi called Yasu due to some legal situation, Yasu didn't really care about it, but then the number one hero told him it was related to his birth family practically guaranteeing that he would be interested.

Is this the legacy at work? I did spend the points with something of this nature in mind, didn't expect it this soon and I didn't expect for All Might to know about me before I even made the jump into this world.

My anxiousness only grew worse at the realization that if All Might knew who I was and where I lived, then there was a very real chance that All For One did as well.

I doubt he would do anything, he didn't to Midoriya even if he almost certainly knew where his mother lived, but it is still unnerving.

Taking a deep breath, I calm myself and apologize to Keiko for forgetting though her expression told me that she didn't completely buy it but gave me my privacy.

I still got time, I can think of something before, there is no way this is about me beating some drug dealers yesterday since the meeting was agreed like a week ago.

Besides All Might is a great guy, even if this isn't a social call, I doubt he would be mean about it.

It was time to wait for All Might now, I was standing alongside Himiko in the waiting room I had designated.

"I hope you enjoyed your time at the orphanage so far Himiko?" I ask her gently trying to make some conversation, but also genuinely curious.

"The kids here are nice, nicer than most kids I knew their age anyways" She starts with a smile that turns bitter at the end.

Shit didn't mean to bring bad memories.

"They are special mainly due to Keiko smacking any of them who tries to bully the others" I try to play off with a laugh.

It seems to work slightly if her small smile was any indication.

I continued with the light talk, making sure not to say anything that would bring bad memories.

I will eventually have another conversation with her to help her heal, but now is not the time All Might should arrive in half an hour.

Instead, we spend time talking about what kid Himiko likes the most, which ended up being a girl with a heat quirk that required her to eat ice to maintain a healthy temperature, guess it struck a chord with her.

Eventually, it reaches the time for the Symbol of Peace to arrive, so I had to warn Himiko.

"Himiko the man who is coming today works with All Might and probably has worked with lots of pro heroes before," I said in a warning tone, her eyes shined in wonder for a moment, probably at the idea of meeting someone who works closely with All Might before they took a hesitant look.

"I don't think he would recognize you, definitely not for your activities after well, you started living on your own, the news didn't seem to have an idea of who was responsible for that, but there is a chance he will for your high school incident" At the end, she looked uncomfortable, but I had to be said.

Himiko's attack on her classmate hit the news relatively hard, it isn't all THAT rare in truth, someone with a quirk that affects their mind snapping, but it was a nice school, and politicians on both sides of the free quirk use argument used her case for clout and attention.

She didn't kill her classmate even if the kid is traumatized, he would have to deal with a charge of assault at worse and if she explained her quirk and house situation, I am sure the punishment would be relatively low, but it is still something to avoid for now.

"Do you think I shouldn't be there?" She asks with a frown; she is sad about it, but I can tell that she understands, this is the same girl that lived months on the streets living by whatever means she had, she is a toughie.

"At the end of the day it is your decision, he may not recognize you at all, but I do recommend you do yes" I am not going to force her not to stay if she really wants to her choices are her own, I am not her boss or anything.

"I think I will go play with the kids then, it is best not to take any unnecessary risks I suppose," she said tiredly with a sigh at the end.

Now I feel kind of bad about it.

"Sorry Himiko," I said awkwardly, not sure what to say to make her feel better, I am not equipped to help her with problems of her magnitude

"Don't worry about it, I am used to it" she said calmly before living the room.

Now I just feel sad.

One day I will be able to make Himiko walk free wherever she wants, but that day is not today.

Seeing the notification makes me smile, not that I needed the quest to do it, but it is always nice to have some extra motivation.

"This way sir he should over here" I hear Keiko's voice say from outside of the room I am using for the meeting as a favor.

"There is no need for the sir, just call me Yagi" I hear the iconic voice come through, it isn't all that different from the voice I have heard in the news but the lack of the loudness and sheer spirit he normally has is being replaced with a gentleness making it clear as to how people are incapable of recognizing him in his other form.

The Clark Kent effect, it isn't just the glasses that is the costume, it is the difference in attitude that truly disguises Superman with his Clark Kent alter ego.

Or in this case, All Might with Toshinori Yagi, makes me wonder if he thinks of himself as All Might in his head.

Seeing the door opening I am treated to the sight of All Might having to duck his head to enter, even in this form he must be at least 7ft,

I am not able to resist throwing an observe at him and the result honestly scares me a little.

Toshinori Yagi (All Might)

The Symbol of Peace and Justice, The strongest man on the planet, The greatest hero of all time

HP: 2000

LV: 230

The level was insane, even if the health was lackluster, and are those titles?

His health now isn't an accurate measurement, or at least not of his All Might form, the titles are something that you can acquire even if difficult they would have bonuses for you, for everyone else is just another facet of [Observe]

The titles make sense I suppose the health discrepancy definitely does.

When not having One for All activated, he is surprisingly fragile.

"So, you must be Yasu Shimura, it is a pleasure to meet you I am Toshinori Yagi, but I am sure you already know that," he says with a smile and a hand extended for a handshake, looking behind him I see that Keiko has already left us alone.

Taking the offered handshake, I must say I am impressed even looking gaunt as he does, he still is able to smile in a reassuring way, I guess that is what literal decades in the hero industry do to you.

"The pleasure is mine, Mr. Yagi, though I can't say for sure why we are having this conversation, it was kind of abrupt" His smile deems a little at the reminder though I am unable to tell why.

"Ah yes young man, right down to business I see! You see, I am here representing All Might! Feel free to call me Yagi" He says with a boisterous laugh, though when he sees me not react too much besides a light smile, he ends up in an awkward cough.

I can smell the blood in his mouth with my new skill, it isn't particularly strong since it's so little, but I could probably track him by his blood now.

"Um yeah, kids normally react more to that line" He finishes with his hand behind his head rubbing it awkwardly.

Trying not to look suspicious I set an excuse that I hope will work, I have always been good at improvising anyways.

"Sorry for ruining the joke Yagi, I simply assumed as much when I learned that you worked directly with All Might from this orphanage's matron, I was slightly worried in truth since you said this was a meeting of a legal nature, I sure hope I didn't do anything wrong" The last part was true so it was easier to set the correct emotion on my face.

"AH! Sorry about that young man! I wouldn't want you thinking that All Might is suing you, quite the opposite actually All Might is trying to make amends with you" He finishes rapidly making me raise my eyebrows in surprise, what the hell did All Might do to me?

"I am not sure how All Might would need to make amends with me Yagi I have never met him, there is little chance for him wronging me when we haven't ever interacted." Now, what did you do Toshinori?

"Well young man first you have to understand that All Might had no knowledge of your existence before he did what he did, if so, things would have been different, very different." He starts with an excuse, which makes sense since he is defending himself, though if I think about it if All Might knew about it from the moment the accident happened, he would have probably adopted me.

Wow that is a trippy thought

"And what did All Might do without knowing about my existence? You are making it sound like something quite grave" I start with a questioning stare making him start to sweat a little.

"Well, you see young Shimura, first of all, there is something you must know about your family more specifically your grandmother, Nana Shimura" He spoke plainly losing some of the joking attitude he was having before making me tenser as a result, though I am sure it came through as a kid not wanting to talk about his dead family.

"And what about Nana Shimura should I know? I never met her, and from what know my father didn't either he was an orphan just like me." I say with a glare that was fueled by the memories I had from the anime, sure Shigaraki's father was an idiot, but so was Nana for giving her son, or in this case sons away so easily.

Look where that got us.

He winced at the tone I had when speaking of her predecessor but continued one anyways.

"You see young Shimura the reason of your father's time in the orphanage and the cause of All Might's unaware scorn against you is one and the same, and that is Nana Shimura being really a pro hero! And even more All Might's teacher!" He spoke seriously making my eyes widen about the possibility of him traveling One for All to me.

He must have taken my expression for something because he nodded.

"That is right young man, your grandmother was the Floating Hero: Valkyrie! she helped All Might become who he is today, and he owes her everything" He explained with a flourish but was at the same time totally serious.

"As impressive as that is it doesn't explain why All Might may have crossed me legally speaking, I understand why my father and uncle may have been given to adoption even if I don't necessarily approve of her choice, but what does All Might have to do with all this?" I ask just wanting the answer to my real question.

"Well as I already stated All Might didn't knew about you existing at the time and had a great relationship with your grandmother one you could even call maternal, so when tragedy struck and your grandmother passed away, he took use of an at the time recent law, The legacy Hero Law" He explained, I tried to think what the law was from my memories but came up short.

"And what does this law entail?" I asked more confused than anything though some ideas were already coming to me.

"You must understand that it was different then, the hero mortality rate was considerably higher, and the government was growing desperate, the law at its very basics allows legacy heroes to inherit from their teachers in case of there being no blood relations alive at the moment, to make sure equipment and resources weren't wasted." I don't like where this is going and from his increased sweating, he knows.

"So, when the pro hero Valkyrie died there weren't any registered blood relations, and All Might was the only one applicable by law to inherit her considerable savings, he wouldn't normally take them like that without checking first, but he was assured by what he believed to a trustworthy source that there weren't any family members and was in a real pinch economically, the source had apparently partnered with Valkyrie several times before her death..." He said hesitantly with an undertone of anger at the end, of all people it was All Might who took my inheritance? I'd laugh if it wasn't so frustrating.

"He has since had some strong words with the source" He finished with a cold tone and a look in his eye that helped me remember that he was the undisputed number one hero for a reason, did his sclera turn black for a second!?

Also, partnered multiple times, that sounds familiar, and I can already guess why he did it.

"How much money was it?" I asked the simple question; I don't remember Nana -or I guess Valkyrie now- being a very popular hero, so I don't think it would be that much.

"100.000 American dollars " He whispered under his breathe looking at me with a wincing expression, what?

"MOTHERFU-!"
