Total drama Kart Part 2

Last time on Total Drama Tyranny of the masses, it's time for a racing challenge. Each of the remaining contestants has a kart, kindly lent to us by Chef, and must run 10 laps across our special circuit. The podium winners will get the glory and the immunity.

But as this isn't an ordinary show, this isn't an ordinary race. Around the track, we put some TD marks that will allow the campers to use the trap system we have installed on the track. This will give those who found the marks some kind of advantage and made their opponent's life miserable. I can't believe I had such an awesome idea.

The race is getting exciting, with tricks and traps all over the place. Players ganging up against others and dangerous curves are only the tip of the iceberg. What will happen next? Who will get the glory in the road? And who will race towards the elimination? Find out next on Total Drama: Tyranny of the Masses.

"Welcome back to the most exciting race of the season, the Total Drama Kart Racing," said Chris in his sportscaster-like tone. "I'm Chris Mclean, and this is my co-host, Chef N. Hatchet."

Chef rolled his eyes. "Do you really need to keep the act?"

"I'm also glad you're here, Mr. Hatchet," said Chris, clearly ignoring the big man's comment. "The top cars are already on their fourth lap, and these kids are giving their all in the track."

"Yes, they are," said Chef in an unamused tone.

Chris covered the mic and talked in his normal voice. "Can you at least try to show some excitement? You sound more boring than a soccer commentator."

"HEY! Soccer is really fun," protested Chef glaring at the host.

"Whatever, just try to sound excited," said Chris, shaking his head.

The host then smiled and changed his tone again. "On the top, we have cars number 2 and 5 fighting neck to neck for the top position. Who do you think will take the gold?"

"The skinny guy, he's good at driving, and also I hate the damn punk," said Chef in a neutral tone.

"Just as everyone else, Chef, you hate him like everyone else," Chris chuckled and continued, "Then we have cars number 4, 8, and 7 fighting for third place. A little behind them are cars numbers 9, 3, and 6 who are speeding up."

Chef rolled his eyes. "Because with all those numbers, I can guess who is who."

"And in the dead last is car number 1 who is going slower than the rest. It's her driver having problems? Or is there an issue with the kart?" asked the host, ignoring Chef again.

"She's probably just slow," replied Chef, trying to sound excited but failing.

Chris nodded. "Yes, she's just probably very slow. But there are still 6 laps left, and anything can happen. So stay tuned."

Confessional: Chef

He's still wearing his commentator costume. "I insist. They don't pay me enough for all this trouble. I say it here because it seems nobody listens to me. Also, I'm a better commentator than Chris, but until I see more money don't expect to enjoy my narration. I don't work for free. At least not all the time."

On the track, Duncan and car number 2 were competing to get the lead and the delinquent just passed over one of the TD marks. The mechanical voice announced his advantage.

"Old grease ready to use. Press the button when you're ready," said the mechanical voice.

"Old grease? Talk about lame names," said Duncan shrugging, "Sorry Mike, but it's time to be greased out of the race."

Without too much regret in his expression, the delinquent pressed the button. And from the side of the track appeared huge hoses that began to pour yellowish grease all over the track.

The delinquent only gazed with an apologetic smile at car number 4, who was some meters behind him.

Courtney's eyes went wide. The hose poured the liquid just under her kart. She tried to steer, but in the first curve her wheels lost traction, and she crashed against the outer wall.

"DAMN! Just wait until I found the jerk who activated that trap," she shouted, hitting her wheel with both hands.

Then car number 8 also slipped and hit the outer wall, but it didn't spin and returned to the race almost immediately. Then Heather entered the greased curve, and her car began to spin out of control until she also crashed.

The Queen Bee face was green-colored, and she felt dizzy after so many spins.

"Urg! Animal grease? I swear I'll kill Chris after the show," said Heather, putting a hand over her stomach and looking sick.

Suddenly car number 3 entered the curve and skidded over the grease using it to get speed. Courtney and Heather just watched at the car as it splashed them with grease.

Confessional: Heather

She is throwing up in the confessional and glaring at the camera. "I HATE THIS GAME. Why does the grease smell so bad?" She shouted and then threw up again.

Confessional: Courtney

"OK, one thing is making you crash, but bathing you in old pig grease, this is war," said Courtney, hitting her palm with her fist.

But not all the karts were as lucky. After them came car number 9, who was trying to speed up to catch up with the rest, but he couldn't avoid the grease and ran over it. Instead of spinning, he went directly against the wall, the front right tire tearing up from the impact.

Cody jumped out of his kart, sighing. "It seems I'll need to make a pit stop." He then threw his helmet against the ground, frustrated.

After the grease incident, the karts entered their 5th lap in a new order. Mike and Duncan kept fighting for the top, followed by karts 8, 3, and 6. Courtney and Heather were behind them, and in the last place was kart number 1. (car 9 was in the pits)

On the straight over the bridge Sammy was speeding up and in a moment, overtook kart number 8. She was in the zone even after being hit by the pasta cannon.

"Sorry but I want that immunity," said Sammy smiling broadly after overtaking the other kart.

But instead of giving up, kart number 8 began to speed up and tried to pass her. But Sammy watched her through her mirrors and put her kart in front of her.

The twin chuckled. "Do you think I would let you pass me so easily?"

The other kart did a hard turn to try to pass her, but Sammy moved in front of her again, almost hitting both cars. Watching how kart number 8 moved, the twin knew her opponent was getting angrier and angrier.

"Well, I don't think I should do this because I'm the nice twin and all that, but…" said Sammy as an impishly smile appeared on her face. She intentionally left enough space on her left for the other car to pass her.

As the kart number 8 speeded up to try to use the space to pass. Sammy made a hard turn to the left and then to the right in zigzag, scaring the other pilot, who then crashed against a tree.

Charlotte went down off her kart and kicked one of the tires, cursing kart number three. Now she needed to see if her vehicle could go back into the race.

Confessional: Charlotte

"I can't understand. I ace all the racing games, but that damn car number three just stood in my way all the time. I'm not sure if they were Mike or Sammy, but I never give up until the game is over," said Charlotte, folding her arms and looking defiantly at the front.

On the top, Duncan and Mike continued their personal battle neck and neck as they entered the 6th lap. Both went over the TD mark in the ground and got different traps.

Duncan rolled his eyes. "Air-Bear missile? Sounds nasty but right now I need to win, not to use something that sounds like it can blow both of us. I think I will try to squeeze all the power out of the engine I found."

The delinquent then began to speed up and change the gear in his engine. His machine then began to go faster and faster. Passing Mike, who couldn't keep up even at top speed.

The thin guy rubbed his arm nervously. His trap sounded as bad as the others.

"Golden kart? This brings back a lot of bad memories. It's funny because I don't feel anything about Scott's betrayal anymore and it led to Zoey finding out about my other personalities, so maybe it's not so bad. Let's try it," said Mike pressing the button.

A speedy song started in Mike's kart's speakers, it was a speedy beatbox performed by Chef without any vocals, and at the rhythm of the song, the car began to speed up more and more, until it was as fast as Duncan kart.

"WOW! Really!?" Shouted Mike surprised as the kart became faster but harder to control. But not too much for him with Vito's skills at the wheel.

Duncan, who was also running at top speed, just watched his rival pass him in a moment. He blinked a couple of times before speeding up again to try to catch up with him.

The delinquent looked at his trap but decided to not use it. It was too soon, and at that speed, it could be a problem. So he just sped up, trying to stay behind him.

Confessional: Duncan

"Ok, I'm not a nice guy. I just didn't attack Mike during the lap because a missile sounds dangerous, and let's be honest, if I hurt Mike, Red will be really sad, that or will kick me in the kiwis, or maybe both. Either way, I don't want any of that drama, so I'll wait before blowing him up," said Duncan folding his arms and nodding.

In the pits, Logan and 2 other interns were looking at Cody's kart, but it was taking more time than he expected.

"Do you need more than 10 minutes to change a tire? At this rate, the race will be over before I can go back," protested Cody, who was drinking a bottle of water.

"Sorry, Mr. Anderson, but the rim is also damaged, so we need to change both the rim and the tire," explained Logan, who was checking the system with a small pc.

Cody sighed. "Just my luck, and in a challenge I could ace."

"Don't worry, it'll be ready at any moment," said Logan while looking at the status of the systems in the car. "But it's a surprise. You don't seem that competitive."

"When you're competing for a chance to get one million dollars, everyone becomes competitive," said Cody, trying to not laugh at the comment. Does he really seem like the type who was here to enjoy the summer and not to win a million dollars?

The young intern made a soft laugh. "Most of the team supports either you or Sammy, so good luck out there. AAAAnd your kart is ready, just need to turn off the maintenance console."

But as he was closing, the intern tilted his head. There was something weird in the system, but he already told Cody the vehicle was ready, so there was no way to keep him there longer.

"Thanks," shouted Cody, putting on his yellow helmet and jumping into the kart. He then went out trying to catch up with the last car.

Logan watched him go away and then took out his phone.

"Hello Steve, I have a question. I know we activate the trap system, but was DAM supposed to connect to the system?"

"I found a backdoor into DAM in the kart system."

"Yes, I'm sure. Can you close it?"

"Thanks. Yes, I'll write a report after the race, thanks man." Logan then hung up, having a bad feeling about this.

Confessional: Cody

"When I came back into the race, I knew my chances to win were almost nil," said Cody shaking his head. His clothes and face are dirty with ash. "but if I learned something in 2 seasons of this show, it was to never give up. So I went out there, pressed the axle to the floor, and began to try to pass the last place. After all, I didn't need to win. Finishing 3rd was enough. If only I knew what would happen next."

Back on the track, Charlotte was speeding up, Duncan and Mike were ahead, and she was still trapped in 5th place. The e-gamer was furious because if things continued this way, she would lose.

"First that damn Brick, and then Sammy. I need to get those out of the way to then focus on the lead," said Charlotte, who then passed over the TD mark.

"Explosive surprise is ready to go," said the mechanical voice.

Charlotte made a smirk. It sounded like a dangerous trap. She saw in the front of her kart the number 6 and decided to prove it.

"Let's use explosive surprise. Game over Brick," said Charlotte, her eyes focused on her opponent, but to her surprise, after pressing it, nothing happened.

"WHAT? Is this a dud?" shouted the E-gamer, who then noticed in the track appeared a variety of small mounds.

Then from way back in the road, she heard something. It was a big explosion, and in the air was a kart flying away.

"AAAND Kart number 9 is out of the competition. What a great way to go out, don't you think, Chef?" asked Chris in an excited voice.

"That kart was mine, so I hope the show will pay for it," said Chef in a harsh tone, then he asked. "And is that even legal?"

"What are you talking about? The explosives, the grease, or the pasta cannon?"

Chef sighed. Why is he trying to narrate this seriously?

At the bottom of the competition, still on the lap 7th was Lilly. The rest of the remaining competitors were already in the 8th lap, so she already lost. Probably.

Then she heard Max's machine beeping. She pressed it to talk with the evil genius.

"Sorry I can't talk too much because I'm driving right now," said Lilly in her low and polite tone.

"I know that already nitwit! That's exactly why I'm calling you. We need to speed up if we want to have a chance to win this," shouted Max in an angry tone.

Lilly winced. "But it's impossible, the engine you mentioned wasn't there, and I can't go faster than this."

"Hehehe, did you forget who I am? Give me a moment, and I'll activate the golden mode of your vehicle," he said in a confident voice. "That will be enough for you to at least get third place."

"Golden Mode?" asked Lilly, not sure if she should trust Max.

The voice from the machine sounded angrier, "Do you doubt me? The golden mode takes off the restrictions in the engine, and you can go faster. It's one of the race traps, but for me it is a simple task to override it and give it to you without passing over the marks."

"Sounds dangerous," said the treehugger in a lower voice.

"SILENCE! Now I'll…" but the voice of the villain suddenly went quiet. "Those imbeciles cut my access! And even dare to put a restriction so I can't enter anymore. GGRRRRRRRR!"

"That means-" but before Lilly could end her sentence, he finished the call. She just blinked, confused. "I think that means I can't go faster. Anyway, slow and steady wins the race, so let's just do our best."

Confessional: Lilly

"There are a lot of things I don't understand about how Ma… my friend acts, but it seems there are moments in which he can't help me. Anyway, I was a little glad because going faster sounded really dangerous," said Lilly, smiling and putting a hand over her chest.

Back at the top of the competition, Mike was going further ahead of Duncan, both already in the 9th lap. It was just a question of time for them to reach the goal.

"Wow that Mike is really a racer. It seems I'm getting silver today," said Duncan, who was going as fast as he could while keeping control, but he wasn't a match for the spiky-haired guy.

Then as both were on top of the hill, someone activated a trap. From the sides of the road appeared some cages with hairless squirrels inside them.

After electrifying the cages and shocking the squirrels, the small angry mutants began to shoot lasers from their eyes to the karts.

One laser hit Mike kart, who lost control and began to spin wildly at top speed.

"Fuck-" Duncan cursed and tried to avoid him, but he turned hard to the right and then-

BOOOOM!

Duncan kart stepped on one of the mines and was blown into the air.

"WOW, Look at that, Chef! There was an accident just at the top. It seems we still have a competition in our hands," said Chris in his sportscaster tone.

"Hey, that's too much! Those kids can really get hurt by that," said Chef who stood up immediately and took off his earphones. "And also, they will destroy my poor karts."

Chris looked at him with a puzzled expression. "Hey, where are you going?"

"I'm the medic, so I'll be on standby. I'm not sure those kids are as sturdy as you said," exclaimed the big man in a tired tone.

The host rolled his eyes but didn't try to stop him. It seemed he and Chef would never look at each other's eyes, such a shame.

On the track, Mike's kart spun around and went off the hill, crashing against the wall. It wasn't a long fall, but the kart was more a pile of twisted metal than a vehicle.

He went out of the kart. The spiky-haired guy has some scratches but was fine otherwise.

After taking off his helmet, he glared at the track. "Someone messed with the wrong guy. Whoever activated that trap better eliminate me tonight, for their own good."

He then kicked the remains of his kart and began to walk back to the stadium. The adrenaline in his body helped him keep going. He was alone, and sadly, he was starting to enjoy it.

At the same time Duncan's car fell hard in a tree and then in another section of the track.

"What the fuck was that?" asked the delinquent, blood coming from the helmet.

But he then saw cars number 6 and 8 passed in front of him.

"Fuck I lost my lead," cursed Duncan, and then miraculously, his kart started again.

The delinquent laughed aloud. "It seems I'm still into this," he said as he entered the race again.

The remaining contestants were already on the 9th lap. Cars 6, 8, and 5 were fighting for first place, while she was competing with cars 3 and 7 for 4th place.

Courtney knew that if she wanted to win she needed not only to leave behind her opponents but also at least pass one of the 3 cars in the lead.

"Stupid kart! How I'm supposed to win this if it can't go faster!" complained Courtney aloud while trying to catch up with car number 3.

Then she saw a TD mark on the ground. The traps were risky, but maybe she would get what she needed to win the race. So she went for it.

But it seemed car 7 thought the same, and both began to try to get the trap.

"It's mine. I see it first!" shouted Courtney even if her opponent couldn't hear it.

Then she turned and bumped the kart with hers, forcing her opponent away. But they retaliated and bumped her kart too. In a moment both karts were speeding up while bumping each other.

When at last both went over the TD mark, and for Courtney's joy, she got the trap.

"Yes! Take that!" shouted the former CIT, as her rival began to slow down. She was so exhilarated about this that she didn't notice her kart entering too fast into the curve.

"NOOOO! STOP NOW YOU PIECE OF JUNK!" the Latin girl tried to change directions, but it was too late. She pressed the brake and did a hard turn hoping at least to complete the turn.

But the inertia launched her car against car number 3, who was also in the curve, crashing against it and smashing both vehicles against the outer wall. Pieces of both carts and some tires flew around.

Courtney shook her head, all her body hurt, but luckily nothing seemed serious. "I'm alive?"

"What was that?" The female voice startled Courtney. She looked around and found Sammy, who jumped out of the vehicle. "Why did you crash against me like that? Do you have some kind of grudge against me?" she then tilted her head. "Also, you're ok, right? I mean, it was a big crash and all."

"Yes I'm fine, and I'm sorry," replied Courtney. She wasn't sure what to say. It was her fault that Duncan's friend was also out of the race.

Sammy nodded. "Don't worry, only be more careful in the future."

They were still talking when Steve and another intern ran toward them with a medical kit in their hands.

"There goes my immunity," said Courtney, kicking her kart.

The twin looked at her, raising an eyebrow. "Are you sure you're ok?"

But there was no answer. The interns helped them to go back to the stands. As she said, Courtney was ok, at least physically.

Confessional: Sammy

"Ok, I know it was an accident, but even then, Courtney acted pretty weirdly. I wonder if she got hurt or not? She is my ally, so I'll need to check on her later," said the twin, "I just hope she was honest and it wasn't personal. Jealous women are the worst."

"And cars, 6, 8 aaaaaand 5 enter the last lap. If they do it right, the three will get immunity for tonight's elimination." He then chuckled. "But it seems they don't want to do it right."

As Chris said, Brick was speeding up but couldn't avoid car number 8. It was pressing the cadet doing some risky maneuvers. But Brick had good reflexes and avoided them. Now there was less than half of the track to finish the race.

The three karts crossed the bridge in the hill and descended the mountain at top speed, at the bottom was the finish line. Brick leaned forward to put more weight in the front of the kart and descend faster.

But his opponent didn't seem to give up, and in the home straight, it turned and crashed her front tire against Brick's damaged tire. The cadet kart began to spin without control, stopping some meters before the goal.

But when kart number 8 was about to cross the goal line, a scuba bear, wearing a pilot hat and a rocket pack, rammed the kart and held it with its claws, lifting and throwing it down the hill.

The cadet went out of his vehicle and looked in the direction where kart number 8 fell. "What happened here?"

Then Brick saw car number 5 crossing the goal line. It seemed the first immunity was decided.

Confessional: Duncan

"That air to bear missile is the best trap ever," said the delinquent with a big smirk on his face. "And why did I use it if I don't really need it? It's part of my plan, but I'll not spoil you anything."

The cadet smiled. He did his best. It was a shame, but he lost so close to the goal.

Or maybe not.

"Well Brick McArthur, if they can do it you can at least try too," said Brick trying to pump himself up.

He was talking about Duncan, his jerkish friend, and Sammy. They were in a similar situation during the 9th challenge, but that time instead of giving up, they pushed the air glider all the way to the goal.

So he would do it. He would push the kart all the way into the goal.

"Mph! This guy is heavier than it seems," said the cadet, his face red with the effort.

Little by little, he advanced through the track, but it wasn't enough. With each try, he moved some inches. But it was a race against time.

Then car number 7 crossed the goal line. It was Heather, but the cadet didn't have time to think about that.

Brick was sweating, the veins in his neck and arms pulsing, and his eyes bulging. But he couldn't stop. Lilly was about to reach the goal, it was the last push-

"AAAAHHH!" shouted the cadet putting all his energy on it. He pushed the cart the longest distance he could. It was his last push.

And as his kart stopped, car number 1 crossed the finish line.

"AAAND we're at the end of the race and the challenge. The winners of the immunity are Duncan, Heather, and Brick. That was the weirdest photo finish I ever saw. His cart crossed the line just seconds before Lilly," said Chris looking with wide eyes at the winners.

"That's all? There is no celebration, podium or even champagne?" asked Heather tossing her braid.

Chris shrugged. "Sorry we're on a budget. But I promise to give you a bottle if you win the million."

The Queen bee twisted her mouth, annoyed.

"Congratulations everyone," said Lilly, making a big smile.

"I won't be so happy if I were you," said Heather, making a big smirk.

Duncan chucked. "Heather be careful. Your horns and pointy tail are showing."

"You're as funny as ever, which means not funny at all," said Heather rolling her eyes. "You're lucky you won immunity. You stay in the game one more day." She then stormed out from there, not wanting to spend more time with the delinquent.

"And to the remaining 6 who are in the chopping block, remember to meet me at the campfire at 8:00 pm for tonight's elimination," said Chris in his classic mocking tone.

Everyone went their own way. Tonight will be busy as usual.

Confessional: Heather

She kicked the wall of the confessional, glaring at the camera. "And of course, that delinquent and the Tin soldier win immunity tonight. They were my first two options for elimination. It seems I'll need to improvise."

At the treehouse that used to be the Kinosewak cabins, Mike was waiting for someone. He had his usual goofy expression, which was weird because he used to seem anxious when he was alone.

Then Duncan entered the treehouse, followed by Lilly.

"It seems we're all here now," said Duncan, smirking.

"Sorry I'm late, Mike," lied Lilly. She actually was too scared to be alone with Mike after what happened two days ago, so she hid in some bushes waiting for Duncan.

Mike shrugged. "Don't worry, I also just arrived some minutes ago."

"Excellent, then let's get into business," said Duncan rubbing his hands. "My first option was Heather, but she is immune, so I think we should vote out Charlotte."

"Charlotte?" Lilly asked, almost squeaking. She was in a pinch.

Mike tilted his head. "I agree with Lilly. Why her and not Sammy or Brick?"

"Sammy would be a shame after she reconciles with her sister, don't you think?" asked Duncan, making a big grin. "And for Charlotte, I have another 2 votes, so with us 3, we will have enough to boot her. I doubt I can get 2 more votes for Brick."

Lilly said something in a low and inaudible tone. The spiky-haired couldn't hear her, so he continued.

"Are you sure they reconciled? They seemed to be still on bad terms during the elimination," said Mike, rubbing his chin.

"That was a trick we tried to pull. Someone wanted to vote for Amy because the twins reconciled, and we thought if they seemed to be at odds, that person would change her vote," the delinquent said, making a sad smile. "But it didn't work."

Mike clenched his fists. "And who was this person? Charlotte?"

"I usually wouldn't tell you, but I trust you two. It was Heather," said Duncan, making a big effort to not smirk.

"Ok, then you have my vote," said the spiky-haired guy, hitting his palm with his fist. "but next time, we'll vote Heather out."

Lilly raised her hand, and talked in her low tone. "E-excuse me, but who are the other two votes against Charlotte? If you can tell us, of course."

"Sorry shygirl, but I promise them to not tell anyone," replied Duncan shrugging. "But don't worry, they'll not blindside us."

"Ok, then we have a deal," said Mike patting Duncan on his shoulder. "See you at the ceremony."

Duncan then looked at Lilly, who was looking nervously at the floor.

"HEY!" shouted Duncan, making her jump, scared. "Don't be so nervous. Everything will be ok."

Lilly nodded as Duncan left the treehouse. She then went down. She needed to find someone.

Confessional: Lilly

"I can't believe it, they're voting for Charlotte! And I couldn't do anything to stop them. Even without me, they have 4 votes, and we have only 3. What should we do?" asked Lilly, holding her head between her hands.

Courtney, with a bandage around her head, was sitting with Cody on the tables behind the cabins. They were waiting for the other members of their alliance. The brunette guy had a band-aid on the cheek and a black eye.

"Today's challenge was a harsh one. How I hate the ones with explosives," said Cody, forcing a smile.

Courtney sighed. "At least you didn't crash against an ally. Now she'll think it's personal."

"You're overthinking again. Sammy is a nice girl. She probably already forgive you. And if she didn't, you can ask her to forgive you again tonight," said Cody, winking.

"You're right," said the Latin girl, but she was talking especially about the overthinking part.

Then the sound of steps announced the arrival of her allies.

"Hello Cody and Courtney, sorry we're late," said Heather, her face beaming.

"It was my fault. I'm sorry," said Sammy. Her arms were still bandaged after the accident on the mountain, but at least she looked fine after the kart crash.

Courtney made a small smile. "Don't worry, Cody's a great chat partner so it was a pleasant wait."

"Wow! Did you just praise me? Heather take out the deck. This is my lucky day!" said the brunette guy.

"C'mon, you make it sound weird," replied the Latin girl with a nervous smile.

Sammy raised her hand. "Personally, I think it's the first time I heard you tell someone an honest compliment."

"I agree with Samantha, I met you 3 years ago and I think I've never heard you say something good about anyone. Except if it was to win something or to look good," added Heather, nodding.

Courtney chuckled, but none of them noted the upset look in her eyes.

"Anyway, we need to vote for someone tonight. And of the remaining players who aren't with us, I think Mike is the most dangerous," said Heather tossing her braid.

"Mike?" asked the twin, tilting her head. "I think Charlotte is more dangerous."

Cody winced, "Really? I agree with Heather, Mike's more dangerous. Why do you say so Sammy?"

"Because she's reckless, just look at today's challenge," explained Sammy, looking first at Cody and then Heather. "She seemed more interested in eliminating Brick than in winning the race. I prefer someone predictable like Mike."

"Even then, I think Mike's more dangerous. He is a physical beast," replied Cody, rubbing his chin.

Courtney's expression changed to a colder and more serious one. "I'm with Sammy in this one. I think we should vote for Charlotte. I don't want to be med-evacuated because that girl decides to go after me."

"Wait a moment, we can't do this! For an alliance to work, we need to vote together-" exclaimed Heather hitting the table with her hand.

"I'M WITH Heather!" shouted Sammy in a louder voice, interrupting the Queen Bee. "That's why we must vote for Charlotte tonight. Next elimination, we'll go after Mike. Remember, we have 4 votes."

The brunnete guy bit his lip, Courtney looked surprised at the twin, and Heather made an effort to not yell at her.

"But darling," said the Queen Bee, who winced when Sammy looked at her with her sparkling eyes. "Even if Charlotte is more dangerous, Mike is in an alliance with Lilly and Brick."

The Latin girl raised an eyebrow. "How do you know that?"

"That doesn't matter. What's important is they had 3 votes. It's better to cut them now," replied Heather, trying to sound kind, but her eyes were cold.

The twin tilted her head. "I don't think so. Mike and Lilly were indeed in cahoots with my sister, but Brick left them when Al was eliminated."

"How do you know that?" asked Heather in a neutral tone. Courtney immediately glared at her.

"A-Amy told me yesterday," replied Sammy, biting her lower lip.

Heather tossed her braid, "But that doesn't mean any-"

"Stop there Heather, what reason would Sammy have to lie?" asked Courtney in a harsh tone. "Why would her sister tell her about her alliance but lie about one of their members?"

"But that doesn't mean we have to protect Mike. I also think he's a better option than Charlotte," said Cody, trying to sound calm, but he was also in trouble. Of all the remaining contestants it had to be his other ally?

Sammy made a big sigh. "But I'm not saying this to protect Mike. We can vote for him next. What I want is to boot Charlotte because she's dangerous for all of us. Why do you want to protect her?"

"I don't want to protect her," said Cody, his voice trembling, "It's you who seem to want to protect Mike."

"We're just going in circles," said Courtney, glaring at everyone. "But if we vote alone, we risk being eliminated. So let's just choose one of them. Cody voted for Mike and Sammy for Charlotte. Heather, what do you think?"

The Queen Bee took a moment before talking. Her voice sounded sad, maybe too sad for what she would say. "Sorry Sammy, but I agree with Cody. Let's vote Mike."

"Heather," Sammy sounded upset but didn't say anything else.

"Then it's decided, we'll vote for Mike tonight," said Courtney, "Let's hope the rest don't vote against one of us."

Cody walked away quickly, while Heather apologized to Sammy. "I'm sorry Samantha, but I don't think the e-gamer is so dangerous. But I promise if she puts another person in danger again, we'll vote for her next."

"Don't worry Heather, I understand," said the twin with a sad smile.

Meanwhile, Courtney stood and walked toward the cabins but actually just waited some time until Heather left the twin alone. They needed to talk.

Confessional: Heather

"I can't believe Samantha would suggest voting for Charlotte. Now I just strained my relationship with her to protect my other ally," she stomped her foot angrily against the floor. "At least we'll get rid of that goofy Mike from the game. He's too dangerous to stay."

In the forest, Charlotte was resting against a tree, waiting for someone. It was late, but the sun was still in the sky, at least for some more minutes.

She turned around, but her expression turned into a puzzled frown when she looked at her visitor.

"What are you doing here? This isn't a gym where you can fight for free," said Charlotte in a clear reference to a video game.

"I'm sorry to disturb you, but I needed to talk with you. It's important," said Lilly, her voice trembling.

Charlotte glared at her. "We aren't teammates anymore. Looking for other guildmates now that Amy is out?"

"Can't you at least hear what she has to say?" said a third voice. "Right, now we need her."

"I knew it was your doing, Cody," said the e-gamer, "and even if you said you want her as a teammate, I never agreed."

The brunette boy sighed. "Leaving that aside, I think you were too reckless today, and now you have a target on your back."

"What?" replied the e-gamer with wide eyes.

"It's true. Tonight Duncan is planning to vote you out," said Lilly, twiddling her fingers. "He told us they have 4 votes."

Cody blanched. If what Lilly said was true, his alliance with Heather might be falling apart. Because even if Duncan allied himself with Brick and Mike, they had only 3 votes. That could mean only one thing.

There was a traitor in Heather's alliance.

But the e-gamer ignored Cody's inner conflict. "Are you voting me out?"

"No," replied Lilly, shaking her head wildly. "They have 4 votes, not counting mine."

"Maybe he's bluffing," replied Charlotte, "he feigns he has more teammates than he really has. Just to fool you into voting with him."

Cody looked at her with a thoughtful expression. "It's a possibility. Duncan is cunning. Anyway, we should vote for Mike just to be sure."

"WHAT? WHY?" said Lilly in a low but alarmed tone. "I don't want to vote for Mike."

"Because my friend is also voting for him," replied the Codemeister, "and with us, there are 4 votes, enough to at least get a tiebreaker if Duncan wasn't lying."

Charlotte smiled. "Consider this your initiation into our guild. Vote for Mike, and then you're one of our teammates."

Lilly bit her lip. This wasn't what she was expecting.

"Just think about it," said Cody trying to comfort her. "And vote for whoever you feel like."

The treehugger nodded and then went away, leaving the nerd alliance together.

Charlotte then put her hand inside a trunk and pressed some buttons, deactivating the cameras.

"What are you doing with that?" asked Cody, frowning. "You aren't thinking about cheating, are you?"

"We should use whatever method we have to win the game," She said while connecting to the server. "Sadly, I can't manipulate the votes, but I can do this."

Cody shook his head. "I don't know what you're doing, but you must stop. Winning like this isn't winning. One thing is getting info of the system and other cheating players out of the game."

"I'm only changing the popularity pool to ensure if it's a DAM elimination, we'll be safe. Also it may be my last chance to get that traitor, so I don't want to waste it," said Charlotte while accessing the main computer.

"Again Brick? Why are you so fixed on eliminating him? It's not healthy," replied Cody, shaking his head.

She sighed. "Because I was already cheated by someone like him in the most important moment of my life, and I'll not let it happen again."

"Even if he was like Brick, he wasn't Brick. You're letting your grudge control you," shouted Cody, glaring at her.

"You don't understand. I've played this game before, and he's the same kind. I'll not be fooled again," she then sent the order into the system.

He sighed. There was no use in discussing with her anymore. "Do what you want, but then I don't want a part in this."

"WAIT!" Charlotte tsked. If she lost him, she would be again at stage one. "Ok you win this round. I'll stop for now. Maybe I'm just letting my anger get the best of me."

The brunette boy made a small smile. "Don't worry, now let's focus on saving you."

She then hid the device again. Even if what Cody said was true, she still changed the configuration leaving someone different at the bottom. Better be safe than sorry.

Confessional: Cody

"If Duncan wasn't bluffing, that means either Sammy, Heather, or Courtney betrayed us. Sammy is too nice to do that and is loyal to Heather, so it means either Courtney is secretly allied with Duncan or Heather is blindsiding me again. Probably it's Courtney, but I can't stop doubting Heather," he rubbed his temple. "That's why I hate these alliance games."

On the docks, Duncan was looking at the sunset. He always felt in that strange trance when the sun went behind the horizon. But this time a voice took him out of his thoughts.

"Earth to Duncan, Can you hear ME?" shouted Sammy at Duncan's ear.

He jumped, startled. "What the hell, cheerleader? Don't you realize that you risk your life scaring me like that?"

"Sorry, I thought that you may have fallen asleep," explained the twin, shrugging.

"On the docks, sitting down and with my eyes open?" asked the delinquent, raising an eyebrow.

She made a smirk. "You have done weirder things. By the way, I failed. We only got Courtney and my vote for Charlotte."

"What? Aren't you supposed to be an alliance?" asked Ducan, standing up and frowning.

"They decided Mike was more dangerous, and they were quite adamant at that. So what's the plan?" asked Sammy, looking at him with curiosity.

Duncan took a moment to think about it, they only had 5 votes, but they should be enough, except if someone backstabbed them. It's worth the risk? Losing Mike at this point would be a problem for his plan, but there was no time to target someone else.

Then someone interrupted them. His loud steps and voice were quite familiar to both of them.

"Good night, soldiers. Did I come at a bad moment?" asked Brick, looking worried at the twin and the delinquent.

"No, we just finished, right cheerleader?" said Duncan in a strange tone.

Sammy blinked and then smiled. "Oh yes, we just finished talking, and now I will go to find Heather. See you later."

"Ok, see you later, Sammy," said Brick waving. The twin then went out of the dock.

"What can I do for you G.I. Brick?" asked Duncan now that they were alone.

Brick nodded. "I have a proposal. I need a favor from you, your vote to be precise."

Duncan cursed his luck. Just now, when they had all in motion to eliminate Charlotte, he just came with his own proposal? "Really? I thought you didn't like alliances."

"I still don't like them, but there were some circumstances that forced my hand. So I propose you a quid pro quo. A vote for a vote," said Brick, his eyes filled with determination.

"Ok, who do you want to vote?" asked Duncan. Who knows, there was 1 in 6 he would vote for Charlotte.

Brick shook his head. "Tonight you'll decide the vote, but in the future, you have to vote with me."

"What? Are you for real?" asked Duncan in a loud tone. This was too good to be true. "We can do it like that but, how do you know I'll not use your vote tonight and betray you in the future?"

"Because you're my friend soldier, and I trust you," said Brick in a loud and prideful tone.

Duncan shook his head, blushing "How can you say something so cheesy with a straight face?"

"It's easy to do it when you're speaking the truth," he then offered his hand to the punk. "So do you agree with my terms?"

The delinquent slapped his hand and gave him a strong handshake. "Of course, G.I. Brick. Let's dominate this game." Brick winced from the pain but forced a smile.

"You're my friend, but you're also an idiot," said the cadet.

"I hear that a lot," replied Duncan, "Now about tonight's votation…"

Brick and Duncan stood there talking while Sammy listened to them hiding in the bushes. It seemed Brick and Duncan would work together, at least for now.

Confessional: Duncan

The delinquent smirked at the camera. "I must say that this seems to be working. Now I just need to sit with Courtney. That Brick surprised me. It seems he's a more tactical player than I expected. Which is a shame because that also means I must be careful with him."

The 9 remaining contestants were already sitting on the tree stumps that served as chairs. The atmosphere was tense, Charlotte sat on the opposite side of Brick as usual, but Sammy sat next to Courtney instead of next to Heather.

In front of them was Chris. In his hand he had the tray with the 8 marshmallows.

"The atmosphere before an elimination. It's a shame I can't sell this feeling. It's the best part of the challenge day," said the host, taking a deep breath.

"Don't lie McLean! You don't know what feelings are," shouted Duncan in a mocking tone.

"I know, and better than any of you," said Chris in an offended tone, glaring at them. "Anyway, let's continue with the ceremony. I have a plate with 8 marshmallows, and I'll give one to each of you. The camper that doesn't get one will have to wear the vest of failure and ride the chopper of shame out of the island FOREVER."

"So original Chris, can we go and vote now?" asked Heather, tilting her head.

"Yes, go and vote now. Remember even if all of us wanted to, Heather is immune, so no voting for her," said Chris in a snarky tone.

The Queen Bee tossed her braid in his direction. "You're supposed to be impartial."

"I know, Heather, but it's hard to not be against you. I'm only human after all," said Chris, winking. "But seriously, hurry up and vote."

Heather glared at him one last time before lining up to enter the voting cabin. Whoever would go will be decided now.

Vote confessional: Heather

"Sorry, but we're already in the merge, and we need to start cutting out the strong players, bye-bye," said Heather waving at the camera.

Vote confessional: Lilly

"I don't know who to vote for because whoever I choose, I'll be betraying someone. Why must it be so hard? Who am I supposed to vote for?" Lilly then closed her eyes and pushed a button on her tablet.

Vote confessional: Duncan

As soon as he entered, he took the tablet and chose his option. "If this works then Alejandro is a genius. If not sorry Mike, believe me it was nothing personal."

Chris chuckled as he saw the results. "This is amusing. You always go for weird choices, not the slower ones or the ones who lose first. You may suck at the challenges, but your ceremonies are the best."

"That's great, but can you stop the monologue and tell us who was eliminated?" asked Cody. The pressure was killing him.

"Ok, only because this was a great ceremony. First, I have some marshmallows for the obvious ones, Duncan, Heather, and Brick," said the host, throwing the marshmallows quickly.

He took another 3 marshmallows and smirked, "Cody, Samey and Lilly, you also got a marshmallow."

There was a small silence. Courtney's expression changed from calm to a frown after realizing what was happening.

"I have 2 marshmallows, but all of you receive votes. Courtney, you're Courtney and ask many silly questions, so everyone is tired of you. Mike you showed you're dangerous but failed to get the immunity. That's STUPID! And Charlotte, you broke Brick's kart, which was a jerk move," said Chris shaking his head sadly.

"The game is total drama, no Total Hugs. If you can't stand the heat, play another game," replied the e-gamer shrugging.

Chris made a charming and wide smile. "I love your attitude. Sadly the seventh marshmallow is for Courtney."

The Latin girl caught it, but her frown didn't disappear. Why was she in the bottom?"

"Charlotte and Mike, one is safe and the other one is the 9th place in total Drama Tyranny of the Masses. So the last marshmallow is for. . ."

"MIKE. It's game over again, Charlotte."

"WHAT! That's impossible. You're cheating! I have the votes to remain safe," replied the E-gamer, who then glared at Lilly and Cody. But another contestant was the most impacted by her words.

The host laughed. "Of course not. I can't tell you the votes but believe me, you're out."

"It can't be!" replied the dark-skinned girl. "It must be a glitch. Repeat the votation."

"Please stop that and follow me to the dock of shame. Your flight is waiting for you, again," said Chris in a harsher tone, walking in front of her.

The e-gamer thought about the chance of getting Max's invention and changing the votes, but it was impossible. So she just went behind Chris. Cody, Lilly, and Brick follow them.

"Why are you here traitor? Do you want to teabag me in my last moments?" asked Charlotte as she put on the vest of failure.

Brick saluted her. "Even if you really hate me, I'm not ashamed of anything I did. So I wanted to tell you that. If you still resent me after the game, we can talk about it."

"I still think you're a traitor. But let's talk once you're eliminated," said Charlotte. Maybe, just maybe, she was wrong about him.

Then Lilly walked toward her, sobbing.

"Stop crying, you side character. You must level up your game and become a protagonist if you want to win this game," said Charlotte patting her head.

"That means we're friends?" asked Lilly, her eyes sparkling.

"NO!" said Charlotte, the treehugger's face turned into a sad frown instantly. "but we're neutral. Maybe if you improve your affinity with me we can become friends."

Lilly didn't understand but nodded wildly.

Then Cody hugged her, Charlotte whispering in his ear.

"Remember you still have that item. Use it," said Charlotte, making a sad smirk.

"It's too dangerous-" but before the brunette guy could end his explanation, the chopper of shame took her vest and pulled her into the air.

Cody sighed. Charlotte was his ally but also his friend. Things would be hard without her.

"And Charlotte loses her last credit," said Chris winking at the camera. "But there are still 8 players in the game. What will Cody and Lilly do now? Which alliance will prevail, Duncan or Heather? And what will Brick ask from Duncan? Find out in the next exciting episode of Total Drama, Tyranny of the Masses."

Author Notes:

And now there are only 8 campers in the game. Will Heather's alliance dominate the game? What's Duncan's strategy? And what will Cody and Lilly do without Charlotte? Find out in the next episode of Total Drama Tyranny of the masses.

Sorry Charlotte fans but it's time to go. And also congratz Stuncan, who guessed it. I have a hard time deciding this elimination because I have some plans for Charlotte and another character, and in the end, I think it's better for the story that she leaves now.
