Chapter nine:

"You two made it!" Blue heads over smiling in greeting with Classic following. He has a white long sleeved button up shirt, a slightly dark blue blazer, dark blue pants, back shoes, his blue gloves, and his scarf is on instead of a bow tie or tie.

Classic followed the more simple approach like Error and Ink. He has a slightly dark blue long sleeved button up shirt, a black tie, black pants, and black shoes.

The others are all also dressed up, though Cross and Dream aren't seen, as the others mingle with one another inside the church.

"Come with me Ink. I think there's someone who'll want to know you're here." Blue gently takes Inks hand and gently leads him away.

Ink follows after him as Classic and Error let them go. He is lead into a room where Dream is glancing over himself in the mirror.

Dream is wearing a beautiful white wedding dress with a tight fitting upper part, small straps, the bottom flowing down as well as fluffing out a little, it goes down to cover most of his feet, and he has a nice pair of white shoes with a buckle that look like some good wedding shoes. He even still has his crown on his head. He looks nervous then notices the two. His eyes brighten and he hurries over. "Ink! You made it!" He hugs the other who hugs him back. He pulls back to look over his friend smiling so wide. "Look at you! You're walking without the walker!" He doesn't mention the cane as he is just happy Inks walking has improved.

"Yeah. We still have it just in case. But I'm doing much better." Ink confirms to his friend smiling as well. "I didn't tell you because I wanted it to be a surprise."

"Well it is a very wonderful surprise." Dream confirms and is very happy to have his two closest friends here.

"Are you nervous?" Ink inquires to his friend being able to pick up on it.

"A little."" Dream admits and shifts his feet. "I love Cross a lot. I guess Im getting a little stage freight."

"Well you look amazing and I'm sure everyone else will agree." Ink tells Dream as Blue makes a sound of agreement. "Besides. Cross loves you more than anything. We've all seen it. And you love him just as much. Even if something happens today your bond is too strong; to even take a hint of damage!"

"You'll do great out there Dream!" Blue joins in on the encouraging. "If anyone is going to rock this day it's you."

Dream hugs the two in gratitude. "Thanks you guys."

Error knocks on the door. "C-Cross?" He calls. He wanted to come say hi to the other after hearing that he seems a little nervous.

"Oh! Error come in." Cross voice calls back so Error heads inside seeing Cross adjusting his tie using a mirror. He has on a white long sleeved button up shirt, a black blazer, black pants, black shoes, a white rose in his blazer chest pocket, with a gold ribbon tied in a bow on its small bit of stem, and a red tie.

Error heads over to his friend who gives up on adjusting the tie with a sigh. "N-Need a hand?" He questions lightly teasing to which Cross glances to him for it. He offers a playful smile to the other. "Aw c-come on C-Cross. You're fine. I-It'll be alright."

"What if I'm not a good enough husband to Dream? What if I don't look good enough to make today really special for Dream?" Cross questions the other and he takes a moment to calm himself. He can't go on an anxiety rant. He places his hand on a table and bends over to try to distract himself with a new position. He needs to keep his cool. He feels a hand rest upon his shoulder.

"You l-look great Cross. Dream w-will think s-so too. A-And I know that y-you and Dream are g-going to be together f-forever. You two j-just fit so well t-together. Before I-I was dating I do a-admit I got a little j-jealous of what y-you two have. But t-that's not important. "Yeah. If even you tell me that it'll be good then surely it is." Cross shifts getting to be fully straight up as Error moves his hand away.

"More than life itself." Cross confirms to which Error nods his head.

"S-So don't worry a-about it." Error and across turn as a knock comes to the door.

It turns out to be Stretch who has poked his head inside. "It's almost time to start." He informs them so Error turns back to Cross.

"See y-you out t-there." Error mentions to which Cross nods with a 'Yeah.' Then he leaves the grooms room heading away with Stretch. He finds Ink and together they find a decent seat.

Ink slightly leans back on the backrest glad to be sitting right now.

After the others settle into seats the music begins so they turn to the back; where they'll come from.

Cross comes down first and arrives to stand by the pastor. He turns as Dream comes out.

Dream has a veil attached to his crown and a beautiful bouquet of flowers.

The flowers have yellow, white and red in colours.

Cross smiles and behind the veil Dream is smiling too.

Along with everyone else.

Dream arrives and stands with Cross as they turn to the pastor.

"Welcome all to this wonderful celebration." The pastor begins. He is an older taller than others of his kind, bunny monster. He has white fur, floppy ears, and wears small round glasses. He's in a white robe decorated with gold coloured accents, and a sash with the symbols of each AUs, of this town, symbols for the monster kind; since each have a slightly different symbol for the monster kingdoms of different AUs. So as he is a pastor here he needs to have them all represented. He glances to those gathered. "If there any objections speak now or forever hold your peace." He gets no response so he turns to Cross first. "Cross. Do you promise to forever love, hold, and cherish Dream. For the rest of your life, in sickness and in health, until death do you part?"

"I do. Even in death." Cross promises getting Dream to blush a little.

The pastor can't stop smiling as he turns to Dream. "And do you Dream promise to forever love, hold, and and cherish Cross. For the rest of your life, in sickness and in health, until death do you part?"

"I do. No matter what." Dream also promises making Cross smile even more.

The two turn as Blue who was asked to bring the rings, comes with them on the fancy white pillow. They pick up a ring each then Blue moves away to the sidelines, as they turn to each other.

"I love you more than anything. And I'll always be there for you." Cross says as he gently puts the ring on Dreams finger. He shifts to let Dream do the same.

"Same to you Cross. I love you so much." Dream tells him as he puts the ring on Cross's finger.

"I love you two Dream."

The two glance to the pastor who hasn't stopped smiling.

"I now pronounce you married. You may now kiss the bride." The pastor softly nods then the now married couple turn to each other.

Cross gently lifts the veil placing it on the top of Dreams skull. He gently cups his brides cheeks and the two share a kiss.

Those watching give out happy calls at this, except for the pastor who is smiling happily at this, as they do their kiss.

A truly happy wedding indeed.

A year after the wedding Ink and Error are sitting in their now shared home.

Error helped Ink to sell his old home. He's been very proud of how much Ink has improved, he continues to try to help him through it all. He's been trying to be gentle and make sure that he doesn't try something that might upset Ink.

Error just does what he can going by moment than anticipating the future. He can easily deal with things that come up, he doesn't have to make himself anxious over future events. He knows that it's just one step at a time for recovery.

Ink snuggles into Errors side. "Error."

"Y-Yeah my l-love?" Error kisses Inks skull then is pulled into a kiss. He kisses Ink back lovingly and has his hands on Inks skull. He does this to keep him from getting reminders from any touching. He blinks his eyes open, that he closed to kiss Ink, when Ink guides his hands down his body.

"Got it." Ink confirms with a nod. He looks glad that they have set that up, and they are teleported from the couch to the bed. He knows Error did so. He strips then touches his neck.

His medications do help, and he tries to focus on what is happening now. He won't ever forgive Dust for what happened.

PJ and Error both are very helpful in keeping Inks mood up. They almost seem like a tag team in it, even though PJ doesn't understand past mommy being sad.

Lust and Farmtale Papyrus are very public about their relationship. They just can't stop fawning over each other.

Slim and Basic got married as did Farm and Blood. Not to mention Stretch and Edge.

It's been an eventful few years.

Everyone is expecting Blue and Classic to probably be next.

The trio head to the living room where Ink smiles in greeting

"I didn't know you two were dropping by. Surprise visit?" Ink greets warmly to the two. He is relaxed to see them.

"Well it'd be good to practice with children before our child comes." Stretch tells Ink. He and Edge had held off until they both mentally felt ready for a child; unlike Error and Ink in which Ink unexpectedly got pregnant. He is now pregnant with Edges child and is only about two months along. "Plus Error asked if we could watch the kids for a bit."

Ink blinks in confusion then turns to Error who smiles at him. He wonders what is going on.

"M-Me and you a-are going t-to go out together f-for a bit." Error explains to Ink. He planned this in advance so even Reaper and Geno knew about it, especially since it was also planned for the three young ones to be here today. "I-I already t-talked to the place t-to make sure they'll have a s-spot. You're g-gonna love it."

Ink shifts getting up from the couch with a smile trusting Error. "Well alright. We can go then." He turns to Edge as Stretch heads over to play with Fresh and PJ. "Goth is in the bedroom taking a nap. He'll probably wake up soon though. Now PJ can't have any sugary treats past four thirty. He gets too hyper when it becomes bed time if he has some. Just in case we're still out by then he goes to bed at the latest eight. He doesn't have any allergies we know of but still so be careful." He sees Edge smile to him.

"Don't worry. They'll be fine." Edge assures him and gently nudges him. "You two go have fun. We've got things here." He doesn't blame Ink for being a bit worrying over PJ, considering all Inks been through.

Ink smiles and nods trusting his friends. He gets into some nicer clothes while still looking like himself, Error doing the same, and both done quickly. He goes over sharing a hug with PJ. He had gotten it at the right time as Fresh and PJ weren't hugging but instead playing. "Mommy will be back later." He promises then puts him back with Fresh. He heads off with Error to go for a nice outing together. "Where are we going?" He inquires curiously as they walk.

"Y-You'll see." Error shares a smile with Ink not wanting to ruin the surprise.

The two arrive to Inks favourite restaurant called Roses and butterflies.

It's a small place that puts up art work of local artists, even selling them to customers then giving money to the artists, including Ink.

Inks sold quite a few art pieces here. He is one of the main artists making art to display and sell here. He's been given a discount in thanks for helping bring customers with his art.

Since even if a monster comes just to buy some art, they almost always tend to stay to buy food.

This place does serve good food.

It is run by a family of bunny monsters who wanted to do more than just sell food here, so they decided to help support local artists with the whole displaying and selling art.

Error knows that Ink likes to go here for the food, and to see the creativity of other local artists.

"Error!" Ink gasps in surprise and looks happily to the other at seeing the place. His hands by his mouth in pleasant surprise.

"I g-got a special t-table just for us." Error tells him and leads his mate inside.

A brown bunny monster in a stylish black and white unisex waiter outfit smiles to them. "Welcome! Please right this way." She leads them to their table as she knew who they are right away.

The table has a red silk tablecloth over it, it's sitting by a window with strings of lights dangling in waves like shapes in front of it, and there is a beautiful flower centre piece.

The other tables at the restaurant are decorated well though in their own ways.

Error requested this table and is glad that they added things he asked them to.

"It's beautiful." Ink mentions and watches Error bring out the nice looking wooden seat for him. He sits down and is gently pushed in his chair forward by Error.

Error then heads to sit in his own chair.

"I am Peach. I'll be your server today. Can I get anything started for you two, or would you like a little time to look at the menu?" The bunny monster asks placing two menus on the table.

"Can I have my usual?" Ink requests, referring to the pasta stir fry with the curly pasta pieces, to which Peach nods her head. "A hot chocolate for the drink."

"A-And I'll go w-with your m-mac and cheese. With s-some non-caffeinated b-black earl grey t-tea to drink." Error orders to which Peach agrees to that.

"We'll get those started for you." Peach takes the menus and heads away with this.

Ink and Error look to each other lovingly.

"This a really nice surprise date night." Ink admits to Error smiling wide to him.

Error shifts to reach into his pocket touching a soft velvet box. "I-I'm glad that you l-like it." He feels butterflies in his stomach but to not give a hint to Ink he keeps a calm look. "I-I figured you n-needed a nice n-night."

"Thank you Error." Ink smiles wide looking truly happy.

The two enjoy the food and what they ordered to drink. After they finish eating Error decides that it is go time.

"Inky. T-There's another r-reason I brought y-you here." Error admits causing Ink to look to him. He gets up out of his seat, as a quiet employee is ready with a given camera earlier that day. He kneels on one knee by Ink who watches him confused. "Y-You're so kind, a-and such a wonderful s-skeleton. I wouldn't w-want this with a-any other. You m-mean more than t-the world to m-me." He pulls out the box showing it to Ink. He speaks as he opens it and Inks hands are at his own mouth in surprise. "Ink. W-Will you do the h-honours of marrying m-me?"

Ink gasps and happy tears come to his eyes. "Yes! Yes I'll marry you Error!" He informs his now fiancée who grins to him then they get up.

The two embrace happily as the restaurant erupt into cheers and claps. They pull back and Error places the ring on Inks finger, the cheers quieting down.

"I l-love you."

"I love you too."
