I, Tyrant part 1

Last time on Total Drama, Tyranny of the Masses, we had a very special challenge to commemorate we reached the top 7 of the 7th season. It was the lucky-777 challenge on the Fancy Total Drama Casino Royale.

The 7 campers had to participate in almost 7 games, the last place in each game being out of the challenge. They took part in speed baccarat, ballistic craps, itchy poker, boring slot machines parole, combat blackjack, explosive bingo, and Russian Roulette race (well, they didn't participate in all of them) and in a surprising ending, boring Mike won the immunity.

And in another shocking reveal, it was the 6th DAM elimination. This time, the one who bit the dust was Cody, who was chosen by the audience to go out of the island. Without having the chance to tell his feelings to Lilly, but asking her to win the competition. Talking about having wrong priorities.

And with 6 campers in the game, all will become more dangerous and exciting. What will Lilly do after Cody's request? Will Mike and Sammy succeed in eliminating Duncan? Or the delinquent and the CIT's alliance will win the game? Find out the answers to these questions here in Total Drama Tyranny of the Masses.

Chris's voice stopped, and the screen in which the preview was being shown turned off, replaced by the image of the island control room completely empty.

It was past midnight, and the 6 remaining campers were outside the cabins. They were talking about Cody's elimination when they saw the chopper of shame crashing into the woods.

The six ran toward the crash site and found two people standing near the burning remains of the helicopter. One of them stepped forward and spoke to them.

"Greeting my friends, we need your help. There is something evil hiding in the depths of this island," said the person tipping her hat.

All the campers gasped while some recognized the girl in front of them.

"Izzy? What are you doing on the island?" asked Courtney, looking at the redhead with wide eyes.

Izzy smiled, "Right now I go by the name Isabella Clayton. And I'll tell you everything, but first we need to get out of here."

The other person walked from the crash site with her hair disheveled.

"Izzy are you ok?" said the girl in a worried tone. When she realized everyone was here, her expression stiffened. "I mean, YOU IDIOT, were you trying to kill us?"

"Amy!" shouted Lilly, running at the side of the twin.

"What the hell are you doing here?" asked Sammy, also running at her sister's side.

The twin with the mole smirked. "Izzy said you were in peril, And I couldn't stay on the island while my sister was in danger."

The twins hugged each other.

"Hate to break the filial love moment, but we need to get out of here," shouted Izzy. "Follow me."

The redhead took a heavy backpack and ran in the direction of the woods, followed by everyone except Lilly.

"I forgot something back there. Go on without me. I'll catch up with you later," said the treehugger. If there was a problem inside the island, maybe Max's contraption would be useful.

"Are you crazy? I'm coming with you," said Sammy, who didn't want to leave her alone.

The other twin nodded. "If you're going, I'm going with you."

"Then let's run," said Sammy, the three girls running across the forest. The rest of the team didn't notice as they stood behind.

Izzy, Courtney, Duncan, Mike, and Brick ran into one of the caves near the wood's exit.

"Wait? Where are Lilly and the twins?" asked Mike in a worried voice.

"Maybe they got lost. I'll go on the search and rescue mission," said Brick saluting and running into the woods.

Mike was about to follow him, but Izzy held his hand. "Wait, let the Sergeant take care of this while I talk with you. We don't have enough time."

The former multiple Mike doubted, but Izzy's eyes were full of determination, so he decided to stay.

"But be quick, if what you say is true, we need to stay together," said the spiky-haired guy.

"Thanks," said the redhead, who took out a machine from her backpack.

"What the hell is that? I hope it isn't some explosive," asked Duncan looking at the strange machine.

It looked like a box with 8 wide antennas and some buttons at its side.

"It's a jammer. It'll block any signal or camera in a 50-meter radius, duh," said Izzy rolling her eyes.

Courtney stood up in front of her. "Izzy, stop with all the nonsense! First, you arrive crashing the chopper, then you warn us about some 'evil' on the island before making us run like crazy to a cave in the middle of the mountain, and then you activate a jammer. Start explaining what's happening, or we'll go back to the cabins."

"What? Are you crazy? I already told you that something evil is hiding in the depths of the island," said Izzy stomping her foot.

"And what is that evil you're talking about?" asked Mike, leaning against a wall and folding his arms. "And how did you find out about it?"

The redhead nodded. "I wanted to wait until everyone was here to explain, but we probably don't have that kind of time. So let me explain. All began with the Aftermath show, Aftermath for the Masses. I was searching for Sierra in my segment-"

"Wait, they give you your own segment?" asked Duncan looking at her, shocked.

Izzy's eyes sparkled. "Of course! I'm one of the most popular contestants of the show. They even propose me my own line of toys, biting Izzy, but it seems the government-"

Courtney rolled her eyes. "Please Izzy, FOCUS, evil under the island! And Duncan, don't distract her."

"Oh, yes, hehehe," the redhead chuckled and cleared her throat. "So I had this awesome segment in which I had to find contestants of the show, and I started with Sierra. You three remember Sierra right? Tall girl, sexy almond skin, purple hair-"

"Yes, we remember her. She was on my team in World Tour," said Courtney. Even if The CIT wasn't the same as before, Izzy exasperated her.

"I know her too. She was with me in the heroic hamsters," said Mike nodding.

"Great, so Sierra is my friend, so when they gave me my segment, I wanted to interview her first. But she disappeared," explained Izzy in an ominous voice.

Duncan blinked a couple of times. "What? Disappeared? Just like that?"

"Yes, she was supposed to attend a TD convention in Vancouver, but it was all a lie. She actually came to Pahkitew island because she was supposed to be part of the 24 contestants of this season," continued the redhead, her expression darkening.

"Now that you mention it, Draman… sorry I mean Dave told us he was a last-minute addition to the cast because one contestant didn't make it," said Mike while rubbing his chin.

Courtney rolled her eyes. "Oh please, are you saying she disappeared on her way to the island?"

"No, she didn't disappear. She was kidnapped," said Izzy, her expression turning into an angry frown.

At the same time, Lilly was turning off the cameras with Max's contraption while the twins talked.

"And how is your hand?"

"Better, I still have problems with my grip, but in a couple of weeks, I'll be ready for next time."

"I hope there is no next time. 2 near-death experiences are enough for the rest of my life."

"You're totally right."

Both laughed. It was weird to be together again before the final.

"Shouldn't we use this chance to, you know, swap places? It's tiring being the nice one," said the twin without the mole.

"Of course," Amy then cleaned the beauty mark of her face, "you know I think I drew the mole bigger than it is."

Sammy cleaned the makeup off her face, showing her mole. "Ugh, it's a beauty mark, not a mole. Did you call it mole just to bother me?"

"Yes, I did," said Sammy, chuckling. "But it was just because you look cute when frowning."

"Ple-e-ease we look cute frowning, smiling and even crying," said Amy, winking.

The younger twin shook her face, "you're impossible. By the way, did someone find out?"

"Only Mik, he's quite perceptive," said the older sister, smirking. "Probably Dumbcan would also find out if he didn't know already."

Sammy glared at her. "Hey, don't insult him. He's my friend."

"Well, your friend is about to win the damn million. And just when I was about to eliminate him that jerkass of Chris made it a DAM elimination," protested Amy hitting her hand with her fist.

"Language! You can't talk like that. You sound like a pirate," said Sammy smiling.

Amy laughed, "Ok, I'll speak properly to not offend my baby sister."

As they laughed, Lilly returned. She carried the contraption and was ready to go back.

"S-Sorry I'm late," said Lilly, bowing, "let's go."

The three began to walk back to the cave, Lilly making a wide smile, happy because Amy was here.

"And what's that evil on the island you and Izzy were talking about?" asked Lilly tilting her head. "Also, why did you come back alone without Chef?"

Amy bit her lip. Why was she asking? There was no way she knew, then the older twin had a great idea.

"What a coincidence, Sammy asked the same question. So please, sis, answer her," said Amy with a smug smirk on her face. "I'm tired of repeating the whole thing over and over again."

Lilly expected to see a fight, but instead, Sammy nodded.

"No problem. It's quite a funny story," said the younger twin.

(Flashback, Mihtâtamowin Yikâwiskâhk 20:00)

All began yesterday. I… Sorry I mean Amy was walking around the beach waiting for the next elimination, in case it was Mike or you.

Curiously instead of dropping Cody and then flying away, Chef stopped the chopper of shame in the heliport. This seemed strange so Amy went to investigate what was happening.

She tried to cut through the bushes near the pool, but as she jumped, her foot stumbled on something.

"Ouch!" groaned the bush.

"Oh I'm sorry I didn't…" Amy said, but then she cleared her throat "Ehem, I mean what are you doing hiding like that and making me fall?"

The person was Izzy, from the first generation. The ginger looked at her, putting her index over her lips.

"SHHHH! My name is Isabella Clayton, and I'm looking for a way to save my friend," said Izzy, smirking.

"Are you serious?" Amy asked. There was no way she would leave her alone if someone was in danger.

The redhead looked at her with a dead-serious expression. "Yes, to save her, I need to go to Pahkitew island."

"Your friend is Courtney or Lilly?" asked my sister. There was no way it was my friend because she would know her.

"It's complicated. I'll explain to you later. Right now, we need to go to the island, and we'll go using that," replied Izzy, pointing at the chopper of shame.

"What? Are you crazy?" asked Amy, not believing such a crazy idea could work.

Izzy chuckled, "Don't worry, I made a false storm alert, so Chef won't go back to the island until tomorrow. Let's move out, we need to act quickly."

I wasn't sure, but even if what she said was absurd and farfetched, as long as there was a chance it was true, that meant that my sister, Duncan, and the rest were in danger.

"I'll go with you," Amy replied, "what was the worst thing that could happen? I, sorry I mean Amy was already eliminated."

"And where are you going?" someone asked, startling us.

My sister put a hand over her heart. "Cody? Were you the one eliminated tonight?"

Cody was there making a little smile, rubbing his neck. "Hehehe, yes I was eliminated by DAM. It seems I'm not as popular as I thought. But tell me, what are you planning?"

Amy was about to tell him, but Izzy put a hand covering her mouth. "Cafeteria, we're going to the cafeteria."

"It didn't sound as if you were going to the cafeteria," said Cody raising an eyebrow. "Also, Izzy, weren't you searching for Sierra? Did you find her?"

Izzy shook her head. "No, but I was tired of looking for her, so I decided to come to the island to rest a little before tomorrow Aftermath, Ohohohoho"

Izzy's laugh sounded really forced and fake, but somehow Cody seemed to believe her.

"I see, well it's better to tell Blaineley you're already here, so they can plan tomorrow's show," said Cody walking back to the hotel.

"Wait!" Amy shouted, "Can you let us go to the cafeteria first? So we can dine without stress."

But surprisingly, Cody shook his head. "No, it's not fair for the others. I'll tell them right now."

So Izzy decided to stop him. Like some kind of cat, she pounced over Cody, trying to stop him, but both fell into the pool during the struggle.

(End of the Flashback)

"But Cody is ok, right?" Asked Lilly in a worried tone.

But before the twin could answer, the three girls were frightened by a familiar and loud roar behind them.

It was a giant mutant gopher.

In the cave, Izzy was telling Courtney, Mike, and Duncan the same story.

"And what happened? You didn't hurt Cody, did you?" Asked Courtney while raising her eyebrow. It was no secret that Izzy sometimes was really reckless.

The redhead made a small chuckle. "Not exactly, here." She dropped something in the ground, rolling in front of them, leaving brunette hair all the way.

Mike, Duncan, and Courtney gasped. It couldn't be.

"It's a Codemeister head," said Duncan, looking at it with wide eyes.

"More precisely, it's a robot head that looks like Cody," Said Courtney while examining it. "It means that the guy who was eliminated last night…."

Izzy nodded. "Yes, he wasn't the real Cody. He was a robot."

"Wait a minute, but that's impossible. Are you saying they have robots that look like all of us?" asked Mike, who walked to take a better look at the head.

"Not everyone, but there are at least robots of the top 10 contestants in the show," said someone from the cave's entrance. He was tired and breathing heavily.

Izzy took off one of her shoes and was ready to attack the person, but Duncan and Courtney stopped her.

"Steve? What are you doing here?" asked Mike, helping the chubby intern to walk into the cave.

He took a small breath before replying. "I was nervous down there. There is something weird happening in the island's main control facility. The remaining giant gophers activated, so I wanted to come and warn you."

"And how did you know we were here?" asked Izzy looking suspiciously at Steve.

"Because this is the only place in the island in which the cameras aren't working," replied the intern adjusting his glasses.

Everyone blanched. It seemed that Izzy's plan to hide backfired.

"We need to get out of here, NOW!" said Duncan, taking a look outside the cave.

Mike followed him, walking at the delinquent side. "But where?"

"We need to go down the island and try to communicate with the outside," said Steve running at their side.

"NO! First, we need to meet with the twins and the others," said Courtney. She then looked at the intern. "Also, do you have any idea of why Chris activated the Gophers?"

"I think Mr. Mclean wants to capture all of you and record the season's final episodes using the robots," said Steve running as fast as he could.

Everyone felt a cold shiver down their spine.

"That's impossible! Did he suddenly go crazier? He'll be arrested when the news about this goes out!" said Courtney, frowning.

The intern shrugged. "He has been acting weirder with each challenge. I think he spent almost all the season's budget by now and is using DAM in the challenges, even if it's really expensive. It's like he's trying to prove something."

"It doesn't matter. We need to go down there and make him talk," said Izzy, hitting her hand with her fist. "We also need to find out what happened with Sierra."

Suddenly they heard screams and sounds of someone fighting.

"Hurry, they're in trouble," said Duncan, he and Izzy running in front of the group.

At the same time, the twins and Lilly were facing a giant gopher.

"You two run toward the others while I distract him," said Amy, her eyes fixed at the gopher while holding a branch as a club.

"But we can't let you go alone against that," protested Lilly in a cracking voice.

"She's right, are you crazy? There is no way you can beat it. Let's escape together," said Sammy, holding her sister by the shoulder.

The older twin moved away, "Are you stupid? There is no way we can outrun that, so you escape and look for help."

But before Sammy could reply, they heard a loud shout and someone jumping on the gopher, Holding it by the neck with both arms.

"Don't worry ladies, the cavalry's here," said Brick, as the gopher tried to throw him off his back. "And you... stay steady."

"Brick?" asked both twins at the same time.

The cadet tried to reply, but he couldn't. It took him all his strength and focus to stay on the back of the mutant creature.

Lilly tried to connect the contraption to a tree while the twins got a plan to help Brick.

"It's our chance! Sammy, you are the base. Throw me like in a tuck," Amy said and held the club with both hands.

In a moment, Sammy kneeled and joined both hands. "Ready, go and get it."

The older sister ran and, using the younger help, jumped into the air more than 2 meters. She fell and hit the gopher with all her weight, smashing half of its mechanical head.

There were sparkles, and the gopher began to move erratically, but it didn't stop.

"A robot?" Asked Brick shocked. "That makes this mission easier than I thought."

And in a single movement, the cadet pushed his fist through the damaged area of the gopher's head. He felt an electric shock but ripped out as many cables and parts as he could. The gopher then turned off.

"Brick, are you ok?" shouted Amy, running at his side.

The cadet's hair was on ends, and his body was smoking, but he saluted the twin. "As good as I can be, ma'am, thanks for your assistance."

Lilly made a sigh of relief and hid the contraption again. Then they began to hear shouts.

"G.I. Brick are you ok?" asked Duncan as he and Izzy arrived.

"You're late," said Amy, narrowing her eyes. "We already took care of this bad guy."

Izzy examined it. "It's also a robot, just like Cody! Awesome, I wonder how many of these are on the island."

"Taking into account the one you took out on the resort, there are 9 robot contestants and 1 robot Gopher and more than a thousand animal robots. But there may be more that I don't know," said Steve as he, Mike, and Courtney arrived.

"Now that we're all together, we need to go down and find Chris. He has a lot to explain," said Courtney, folding her arms.

Steve shook his head. "I don't know. Probably our best bet is to ask help from outside the island first."

"And we also need to find Sierra," said Izzy, nodding. "Oh, and probably the real Cody."

Duncan hit his hand with his fist. "Whatever, for all those plans, we need to go into the underground facility, so let's start moving. We can plan along the way."

It was dark, he was sitting in a chair, and his body felt tired and dizzy.

He tried to stand up, but he was tied to the chair. After opening his eyes, he realized he was in a white room with a screen in front of him. In it was the image of Chef's face, with sunglasses and a military hat.

"Good morning maggot," said Chef in a military-like tone.

"Chef? What happened? Where am I?" asked Cody. This didn't seem like Pahkitew island.

Chef shouted louder, spitting over the camera. "WE ARE THE ONES ASKING THE QUESTIONS! So work with us, so we can end this quickly. I don't have all day."

"Are you crazy? Is this part of a challenge?" The brunette guy was dumbfounded. He knew Chris was sadistic, but this was probably borderline a crime.

"Just answer the questions! We know you somehow got access to DAM. We want to know how you did it," asked Chef, his face closer to the camera.

Cody bit his tongue. What should he do? Yes, he could confess, but that would mean to be eliminated. So he decided to lie, at least for now.

"Access to DAM? You mean the supercomputer? There is no way I can access it. You took our phones and electronics, remember?" replied Cody looking at him with wide eyes.

"Don't lie to me, twerp!" shouted Chef, his face practically against the camera. "We know you watched the voting confessionals. That is the only way you could find out about Heather voting you out of the game. Now tell us, how did you do it!?"

The brunette guy cursed his big mouth. "I just guessed?"

"Ok, if you want to do it the hard way, I don't care," he said in a harsh tone. "You, throw him into a cell. And don't give him any food! Let's see if a day without eating loosens his tongue," said Chef as the screen turned off.

"What? Are you crazy? You can't do this!?" said Cody, but it was too late.

A man dressed like an intern and with a ski mask entered the room. Without a word, he pulled him from the chair and dragged him.

"Hey, what are you doing? I know we signed a contract, but this is excessive even for this show," said Cody trying to reason with him.

The man pulled him to a hallway with 4 rooms and pushed him inside one of them.

Cody fell hard against the floor. "Ouch, Watch out. I'm fragile merchandise."

But the intern ignored him and locked the door.

"Are you ok?" asked a guy who helped him stand up. He was also a brunette, thin, but with longer hair, and he was taller than Cody.

"Thanks," said Cody, tilting his head. "I remember you. You're one of the interns."

He laughed. "Oh, I'm honored you remember me. Yes, my name is Logan, and I used to work as an intern. It's a pleasure to be your acquaintance Mr. Cody."

"Please just call me Cody. Using mister makes me feel old," replied the original brunette guy, smiling. "And what is this place?"

The room was basically a cell, with a small bathroom but without windows. It also had a small dumbwaiter (those small freight elevators for food.)

"I don't know. I've never seen these rooms before," replied Logan, scratching his head. "Maybe it's some kind of secret room.

Cody nodded. "If this is a challenge, Chris already went too far."

"I don't think it's a challenge. I have been here for 3 days already, so I supposed it's a place to keep us hidden until the end of the season," replied the intern shrugging.

"And why are you here?" The contestant was curious. Logan was an intern. Wasn't it easier to just fire him?

The young man put on a puzzled expression. "Honestly I don't have any idea. I was talking with Mr. McLean about some unauthorized connections to DAM, and before I knew it, I was here."

"Unauthorized connections?" asked Cody. Could it be his fault that this poor guy was here?

"Yes, DAM is an autonomous system. After an incident before the season, it was cut from the internet or to establish connections to the outside." Explained Logan, folding his arms. "All the information he processed came from web services and local databases."

"So basically, it was used only on the island, but that doesn't make sense. A system as powerful as DAM would be even better if it can access the internet freely," said Cody, tilting his head.

"I don't know, I wasn't here when the incident happened," replied the young intern, shrugging.

Then both were interrupted by a female voice, shouting from another room.

"Cody? It's that you Cody?" shouted the woman, her voice muffled by the distance.

He immediately stood up and ran toward the door, shouting as loud as he could. "Sierra? Is that you?"

Chris was sitting and watching the cameras in the DAM main control room. His sight was fixed on the contestants running around the island.

"Why can't they follow the script?" asked Chris in an upset tone.

"You pushed them too far last night. Now our original plan is ruined," said another person, their voice was robotic-like those using a voice changer

Chris shook his head. "Are you saying it's my fault? I just followed the plan and eliminated Cody. They're the ones that make a fuss over it."

"Because you didn't try to negotiate or talk with them, there is something called empathy," said the mysterious person. "But it's futile to talk about possibilities. We need to focus on capturing the remaining contestants."

Then the door opened and a strange creature entered the room. It was a beaver, but it had Chef's head with his sunglasses and military hat.

"Sorry, that maggot didn't confess anything about the hacking equipment. So I locked him," said robo-Chef, in a neutral tone.

Chris winced. "What's this?"

"We're short on subordinates, and the robo-Chef body was incomplete, so I put his head in another robot. I don't see any problem," said the robotic voice.

"If you say so, you're the boss," said Chris standing up. "It seems those guys are coming down here. I guess we need to greet them."

The mysterious man talked. "Be careful. I'll not accept any other failure. You need to capture them and end the season as planned."

"We control all the island and are smarter than them. There is nothing to worry about," said the host. He then pressed some buttons in his control panel. "Did you already revoke Steve's access to the facility?"

"Of course, at the moment he betrayed us. And use all the resources we have to stop them, even if their chance of success is low, if it's not zero they can still get control of the island," said the mysterious voice.

"Don't worry boss. I'm learning from every mistake. Just wait, this season will be the best," said Chris, making a big smile. "Now I'll go and meet our campers, come here robo-chef."

"I trust you. Don't fail me," said the voice as Chris left the room.

"I don't understand," said Robo-Chef, "Wasn't it better to wait a little more until everything was ready?"

Chris shrugged. "There was an unexpected event, and the boss wants to take down any unforeseen variable. You just need to follow the instructions."

The small robot nodded. And went to meet with the other models.

Meanwhile, the contestants were in front of the elevator waiting to access the underground facility, but there was a problem.

"It seems I can't open the elevator," said Steve after sliding his card one more time in front of the reader.

"It's there another way to go in?" asked Courtney, folding her arms.

The chubby intern shook his head. "All of them require you to use a card like this one."

"Maybe we can force the door?" said Duncan, looking for something to slide between the elevator doors.

"There is a problem with that plan. Even if we succeed in that operation, there is no guarantee we can successfully start the elevator," said Brick, looking worried at the elevator's doors.

Lilly then walked to the side of the elevator, "I may have a way to call the elevator."

The treehugger then took out Max's contraption and connected it to the door.

"What's that piece of junk?" asked Duncan, raising a side of his unibrow.

"That's Max's silly invention. I guess the one Lilly showed early was only similar," said Amy, blinking a couple of times.

Courtney looked at her with wide eyes. "How do you know that?" It was Sammy and not you the one who was at the campfire ceremony.

"I told her! Because it was Amy who told me about Max's machine in the first place," said Sammy, making a sheepish smile.

"Hahaha, sorry, it just sounded weird," said Courtney smiling.

Izzy jumped joyfully, hugging both twins. "It would be awesome to have a twin sister. You can pass for each other and fool teachers, do each other's tests, and even take the place of the other one in the show."

"Yes, it's really awesome," said Sammy, making a big grin. She needed to change topics. "Lilly, do you think you can do it?"

And the ding of the elevator opening was their response.

"Let's go, we need to hurry because we have only 1 minute before they recover the control," explained Lilly as the 8 campers and the intern entered the elevator.

Mike gazed at Lilly and the invention. "So that is the famous hacking device?"

They started to go down, and Lilly didn't have any place to run away from the question.

"Yes, it is," she said in a sad tone. "But I never used it until now."

"Really?" asked Mike, the hair dropping over his eye. "Because I'm sure you used it to win the mountain challenge."

Amy stood between them. "Can't we stop with the accusations? We need to go down and find out what happened with Izzy's-"

"It's Isabella Clayton."

"I don't care! We need to find what happened with Isabella's friend and what the hell is that bad imitation of Jeff Probst thinking."

The elevator bing-ed again, and they exit quickly, but it wasn't the facility, but the caves where they had to find Sammy and Topher during the 12th challenge.

"This is weird. We should have gone down to the last floor," said Steve rubbing his neck nervously.

"Lilly, can't you hack the elevator again?" asked Courtney in a stern tone.

But before the redhead could answer, they were welcomed by a familiar voice.

"Good evening, campers. I'm sure both the audience and I want to know what are you doing down here," said Chris, putting his hands behind his back and making a smug smile.

There was a small silence. They didn't expect Chris would face them like this.

"Stop the nonsense, McLean! You have a lot of explanations to give us," said Duncan pointing at him menacingly.

The host just tilted his head. "Duncan, that green dye must be killing your brain cells because I have no idea what you're talking about."

"This will probably refresh your memory," said Duncan, throwing something to the host.

He caught it and threw it to the ground instantly. It was the robot-Cody head.

"It's a really well-done class A robot head. So what?" asked Chris, his hands stained in oil.

"It's not only a really well-done head. It's the head of the Cody you forcefully eliminated some hours ago," said Sammy, standing next to Duncan.

The host laughed. "That's a nice story. Then Cody was a robot? I hope you have some evidence."

"I have it. In fact, I recorded all my encounters with Cody in mihtâtamowin island. Want to see it?" said Izzy, making a sadistic smile.

"Even if you have a video, there is no proof this robot was made on the island," replied Chris, his expression turning into a frown.

Steve adjusted his glasses. "Mr. McLean, it's obvious that was one of the promo-bots made by DAM for the post-show commercials. It even has the Total Drama seal of approval."

"Steve! That's confidential information. They aren't supposed to know about the promo-bots," said Chris, who seemed really annoyed by the situation.

"Hahaha, you seem desperate McLean, so pathetic," said Amy, chuckling. "So stop babbling and start confessing. Where is Lilly's boyfriend?"

Lilly's face was red. She tried to say something, but her voice was so low that it was unintelligible.

Chris sighed, "I hoped to persuade you to go back, but it seems you're adamant in ruining everything." He then took out a remote. "Ok, as you wish."

He then pressed the button in the remote, and the ground cracked. Everyone fell to the level below.

"You didn't kill them, did you?" asked Robo-chef in an annoyed tone.

"Of course not, but separating them will make your job easier, send the rest of the robots to capture them and get that hacking device," said Chris walking to the hallway.

Robo-Chef shrugged and followed him, none of them noticing the hand that was still holding to the edge of the hole. Before the small robot could react, that person was over him.

Somewhere below the cave, Courtney woke up. Her body hurt a little. It seemed like some kind of abandoned mining facility.

"Really, carts and mines? The more I learn about the island, the less I want to know about it," said the former CIT, shaking the dust off her clothes.

It was dark, with some lamps here and there illuminating the road, she looked at the rails and began to follow them.

"What was that jerk thinking, throwing us down here? I think they were right, he became crazier. I should sue him for this," muttered Courtney while following the road.

Then she realized it. "That's it, how didn't we notice it before?"

"Notice what, princess?" asked a familiar voice behind her.

"Duncan!" shouted Courtney startled, "Don't appear like that. At least make a sound while walking or something."

He chuckled. "Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you."

"Yes, of course," she said in a playful tone. "I like how you always didn't mean to do anything."

"I'm truly sorry. I promise to be more careful in the future," he said, making his classic smirk.

She looked at him for a moment … and then smiled. "As long as you understand." She then looked at the rails. "First those weird chambers and now these mining facilities. How many things are under the island?"

"Who knows, probably a lot," replied the delinquent, shrugging.

They walked a little more, and the way forked in two.

"Which way should we take?" asked Courtney, rubbing her chin.

"Right seems fine," replied Duncan putting his hands behind his head.

Courtney made a mischievous smile. "Ok, then let's go left."

"Why? Doesn't the right path seem more secure?" asked the delinquent, tilting his head.

She looked at him with a puzzled expression. "It's just a hunch," said Courtney as she entered the left path, but before she looked at him again. Duncan hurried up to catch her.

As she suspected, the left path went down to what seemed to be an old workshop to smelt minerals. There were some tools like hammers, tongs, and shovels. And also an elevator door which looked new.

"It's a dead-end. It doesn't seem like we can go out through here," said Duncan examining the room.

"You're right. Maybe we should have gone the right way, as you said. I'm sorry," said Courtney looking at the ground.

Duncan looked at her with sad eyes. "Raise your head. Everyone makes mistakes, so don't mind. Just let's go back."

"Thanks Dunky, I feel more confident with you around," she said, her eyes fixed in his eyes.

"Dunky? What's that?" asked Duncan tilting his head.

She then took one of the hammers and hit him in the face with all her strength, beheading the robot instantly.

"Are you crazy? What if he was the real Duncan!" shouted another familiar voice behind her.

Courtney sighed and pointed at her with her hammer. "Now, Heather? Well, I'll tell you before turning you into a pile of junk. Even if you think you do a great job imitating us, I have known the real jerk for 3 years now, and believe me, your imitation was quite poor. Now come here, I'll show you why you aren't the real Heather," said the former CIT.

She didn't know who created these bots, but she needed to make haste. Everyone was in danger! And sadly, not everyone would be smart enough to find they were robots.

Sammy was walking at Topher's side, holding his hand. She couldn't be happier at this moment.

"Sammy, do you love me?" asked the pretty boy.

She blushed. "Of course I love you. What kind of question is that?"

Topher then suddenly slapped her. Sammy made an effort to not cry and looked at him in disbelief.

"Why?" she asked, her voice cracking.

But he slapped her again. "Wake up!"

"What? What do you mean?" Asked Sammy trying to cover her face. But he continued slapping her.

Then she woke up, under Amy, who was slapping her.

"Oh, you're fine. You scare me for a minute," said Amy with a smug smile.

But Sammy just slapped her without saying a word.

"HEY! what was that for?" asked Amy, glaring at her younger sister.

"For straining my relationship and also payback for the 6 you gave me before," said Sammy standing up.

Amy rubbed her cheek. "It was to wake you up. You can be so childish and ungrateful."

"Yes, and I learned that from you," replied Sammy, rubbing her cheeks. "What is this place?"

It looked like a cave, with a river running at the side.

"It's an underground passage. During the previous challenge down here, Brick and I went this way to find you, so it's connected to the ruins and the control room," explained Amy, smirking.

"So we just need to go upstream to get out of here," said Sammy with a big smile on her face.

Amy nodded. "Exactly, I'm glad you're almost as smart as me. This makes it easier to explain these things."

"Actually I'm the smarter of the two," said Sammy, twiddling her fingers.

"Just because you are better than me at two subjects in the school doesn't mean anything," said the older twin rolling her eyes.

Sammy smirked. "Because we're tied in the other 3, you only beat me in one subject."

"You know something? You're more insolent and rude now that we're reconciled," replied Amy, squinting at her sister.

"Because now I trust you enough to tell you what's on my mind," said Sammy, squinting back at her.

Then both laughed and continued walking along the road. They found someone on the floor, it was Lilly.

Amy ran to her side. "Hey, are you ok?"

She was about to slap her when Sammy stopped her. "Wait, let me do it."

The younger twin shook her by the shoulder until the redhead woke up.

"Sammy? where are we?" asked Lilly in a soft voice.

"We're in the place of the 12th challenge, c'mon it seems the exit is this way," replied Sammy, helping her to stand up.

The older twin chuckled. "Don't help her too much. Lilly needs to learn to do things by herself."

"I only helped her to stand up, don't be so harsh on her," answered Sammy putting her hand over her chest.

"Ugh, as you wish. But later, she'll be all clingy over you," said Amy, making a playful smile.

Sammy began to walk behind her, but Lilly held her sleeve.

"Don't you think there is something weird with Amy?" asked Lilly in her low voice.

"Since we were children, but I still love her," replied Sammy shrugging.

Lilly shook her head wildly. "I'm serious. She may be one of those robots."

Sammy tilted her head. She actually didn't think so, but maybe Lilly was right.

"Thanks Lilly. I'll keep that in mind," said the younger twin while following her sister.

They walked some more and at last found the stairs that went to the ruins.

"My feet hurt, and I'm tired. If after all this walking they reveal this is a challenge,I'll kick Chris' ass," said Amy stretching.

"You really think this could be a challenge, after all that happened?" asked Sammy, blinking a couple of times.

The older twin scratched her cheek. "Yeah, it's unlikely, especially after what happened with Izzy and the chopper. But he already did something similar with the Zeke's challenge."

"But that time, Zeke and Dave were robots," said Sammy, tilting her head.

"Maybe Izzy is a robot too?" asked the treehugger, in a polite tone.

The older twin shook her head, "No, the fat intern said there were only bots of the top ten finalists." The eyes of the older sister went wide. "That means you two could be robots."

"Or maybe you're the robot," replied Sammy pointing at her sister.

Lilly stepped back, letting the sisters fight each other.

The twins looked at each other, and like a mirror, both tilted their heads, folded their arms, shifted their weight from one leg to the other, put their tongues out, and then made a cartwheel.

Then both laughed and hugged each other.

"What are you doing? The robot could just be imitating you!" said Lilly in an upset tone.

"Nah, even if she was a robot and was just mimicking me, she won't laugh at the end. A robot won't know this is our secret salute," said Sammy winking.

Amy chuckled. "It's been 10 years since we last time we did that. I'm glad you still remembered."

"That's silly! You'll believe her just because they made some weird secret salute," said Lilly in an angry tone.

"Now it's your turn to cool your head a little." The older twin held Lilly by the arms and pushed her into the river.

Lilly screamed, and then her body began to spark, Amy letting go of the robot before it could shock her.

Sammy walked toward her sister, awed. "Wow Amy, how did you know she was a robot?"

"I didn't. I was just annoyed by her attitude and wanted to refresh her a little," said Amy shrugging, "but that is a secret between us."

The younger twin shook her head. Being Amy's friend should also be a really hard job.

Then as they climbed the stairs, another two robots were waiting for them.

"Wow, so many twins, I feel like in that mirror house," said Amy in a snarky tone.

"Be careful sis," added Sammy, who then smiled. "But I'll enjoy this."

Cody waited for a moment and heard the muffled voice of his friend.

"Yes, Oh Cody, … are you … here?" Sierra's voice was muffled by the wall.

"Why is Sierra here?" Cody looked at the intern, who answered shrugging.

The brunette geek sighed. He pushed the door with his hand but it was useless. It was thick and too sturdy to knock it down.

He then looked at the roof, and on one side was an air vent.

"Don't think about it. The air vent cover is screwed to the wall. There is no way to take it off," said Logan rubbing his neck.

Cody smiled, "Can you let me stand on your shoulders? I think I have a way to open it."

"But…"

"Please Logan, trust me."

The intern rubbed his neck and sighed. Even if he was younger, he was taller and a little stronger than Cody, so it makes sense he was the one carrying the other.

The guys pulled the bed next to the air vent, and Logan stood putting his hands against the wall. Cody used the bed as a step and stood on Logan's shoulder, taking a small screwdriver from his pocket.

Logan was awed. "Do you always carry screwdrivers with you?"

"It's not only a screwdriver, but it's also have scissors and a knife. It's funny because I always forget to carry a pen," said Cody chuckling as he quickly took off the screws holding the cover of the air vent.

The air vent wasn't big, there wasn't enough space for an average adult human, but it was big enough for Cody.

"Ok, I hope the air duct is as strong as in the movies," said Cody, gulping, and entering the small passage, illuminating it with his screwdriver.

"It's also a flashlight?" asked Logan looking at him with wide eyes.

Cody smiled before entering the duct. "Yes, really practical."

After crawling a little, he realized it was an AWFUL idea. The duct was dirty, crawling around hurt his elbows and knees, and it gave him a claustrophobic sense. This is a place Gwen would never enter.

Then he heard the sound of metal bending and cracking, and suddenly the air duct broke. Cody fell, hitting the ground harshly.

"Ouch," he said, holding his left arm, "At least I didn't break anything."

Looking around, he was in the hallway outside the cells. He looked alarmed at the entrance, but luckily nobody entered.

The brunette guy then tried to open the doors, but there was no way. He needed a card.

"Sierra, are you there?" Shouted Cody, looking at the 4 rooms.

"Cody? Did you escape?" asked Sierra, who was in the room to his right.

He ran and put his ear against the door. "Yes, don't talk too loud. I escaped through the air vent. I'll go and look for help."

"Wait, It's imperative you disentangle us," said another woman. Cody didn't recognize her voice.

"I can't. The doors need a keycard," said the brunette guy, looking at the door. "I promise to come back-"

"No, listen to me," the woman interrupted him. "Just follow my instructions. First, disarm the cover of the card reader."

Cody sighed, and using the screwdriver, took the cover. There were many cables under it.

"I don't understand any part of this wiring," said Cody scratching his head.

"Concentrate my instructions," insisted the woman. Cody nodded. There was nothing to lose.

"First, disconnect the wide cable at the bottom of the panel. The LEDs inside will begin to blink in red color."

"Pull out the leftmost cable. DON'T cut it. Just pull it out."

"Cut the 4th cable, which is red and white-colored, or disconnect it, whichever is easier for you."

"Pull out the fifth cable connected to the top of the panel."

"Connect the cable you pulled out first in the socket at the top of the panel, the one you just freed."

"Connect the wide cable at the bottom again."

Cody did it, and the door opened. "Wow I can't believe it worked."

Sierra came out hugging Cody, and after her came out the other woman. Both had their hair disheveled and had dark circles under their eyes.

"Oh Cody, thanks. I can't believe you're the one rescuing me," said Sierra. It was like a dream.

"I also want to express my utmost gratitude. It's been more than a month since we were trapped in such a predicament," Said the woman. She was a young redhead woman with glasses. "My name is Scarlett, and even while it's a pleasure to make you my acquaintance. I wish it was in more favorable circumstances."

"Scarlett, like THAT Scarlett," said Cody, shocked.

Scarlett's eye twitched. "I see my infamy precedes me, but as you say, I'm THAT Scarlett."

"But why are you two here?" asked the brunette boy.

"You won't believe it-" said Sierra before being interrupted by Scarlett.

"As much as I would want you to share the details of our ordeal with our friend, I think we should focus on escaping first and leave the anecdotes for a later occasion," said Scarlett adjusting her glasses. "Unfortunately, I don't think this door will be as easy to open as our cell."

Sierra and Cody nodded, but the brunette boy added. "But before, we need to free Logan and the rest of the prisoners."

"We don't have that kind of time. They already realized we escaped. Now we're facing a race against time," said Scarlett glaring at Cody.

"But we can't leave them behind," said Cody, opening his arms to stop the redhead.

Then the door of the hallway opened.

"It seems your discussion will have to wait. We have company," said Sierra, looking fiercely at the door, ready to attack.

Lilly woke up, she was dizzy. The last thing she remembered was the ground opening and all of them falling. As she looked around, the redhead could hear some voices talking.

"I told you to not underestimate them, and we already lost 4 promo bots. Take the remaining bots and capture them," said the mysterious man in a harsh tone.

"Yes boss," replied Chris running out of the room.

Lilly tried to stand up, but she was tied to the chair.

"Hello Lilly, it seems you're awake," said the robotic-like voice.

"Where am I? What happened to the others? Are they ok?" asked Lilly in a worried tone.

"Yes everyone is ok, and you're in a safe place," said the mysterious person. "Now, I wanted to make you a proposal."

The treehugger tilted her head. "A proposal?"

"Yes. I need you to win this show," said the robotic voice.

"Win the show? Like winning the million prize?" asked the redhead, surprised.

The voice didn't show any emotion. "Yes, for this season to be perfect, I need the perfect winner, someone that could help us after the season is over and with nice behavior and disposition. A person like you."

"But, I don't want to win like that! If I win, I want to make it through my own effort." Protested Lilly, trying to escape her ties.

"Your own effort? Such a selfish concept, every being on this planet needs help from others. Your own effort is just an illusion, especially after all the help I gave you during the season," said the mechanical voice in a louder tone.

The treehugger shook her head. "No! Even if you're right about that, you didn't help me. I don't know you."

"Please Lilly, don't be so cold. It's just because when I helped you, I used this voice." said the mechanical voice, but at the end, he sounded just like Max.

The treehugger gasped. "You're Max?"

"Such a naïve answer. You never noticed that it was me and not Max who helped you during all the competition. But of course, humans only want to see what is in front of their eyes," said the voice, changing from Max to the mechanical voice again.

"Then if you aren't Max, who are you?" asked Lilly, not believing what the voice was saying.

"I'm The Deterministic Algorithmic Mastermachine, or better known by you and your peers as DAM. The true Tyrant behind this season."
